Hôtel moderne dans une ambiance très japonaise : personnel parfois en tenue traditionnelle, soupe soba offerte servie le soir dès 21h (on peut venir en kimono fourni par l'hôtel, bibliothèque avec des jeux ce qui permet de passer des soirées zen et rencontrer des gens, meilleure petit-déjeuner de notre voyage (bento japonais ou western). Notre chambre avec terrasse était grande et très confortable. Hôtel que nous recommandons!

Fantastic, very clean hotel! We stayed here as a family of four and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were extremely clean and very spacious, giving all of us plenty of room to be comfortable. Absolutely wonderful hotel in Kanazawa. It is beautifully decorated, and the service is outstanding. The rooms are beautiful and really quite large. It very well located and easy walking distance to the nearby open air market, as well as a large temple and complex. The meals are quite extraordinary and not to be missed.

The location is perfect, just a few minutes’ walk from Omicho Market and Kanazawa’s beautiful gardens. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the room was beautifully decorated, spotless, and very comfortable. A lovely place to stay while exploring Kanazawa!

Great location near Kanazawa castle, omicho market, local restaurants, shopping strips and other attractions. We were able to walk from Kanazawa station to the hotel and saw all the sights we were interested in on foot. Room was spacious, scrupulously clean and comfortable. Lovely touches including yukata and fresh chilled water in rooms and a daily fresh towel delivery. Staff were helpful and professional. Hotel is beautifully designed with an attractive lobby area offering a selection of complementary teas.

Only minor complaint is that I found the mattress too firm for my liking.

L'hotel si trova in un'ottima posizione, a poche fermate di autobus dalla stazione dei treni e vicino al mercato del pesce Omicho, dove abbiamo potuto pranzare. Dispone di biciclette che vengono date gratuitamente agli ospiti, con le quali abbiamo potuto raggiungere facilmente la zona del castello e del giardino Kenroku-en e il quartiere dei Samurai. Alla sera dopo le 21:00 viene data gratuitamente una zuppa di noodles, molto buona. Per la colazione si può scegliere tra colazione giapponese o occidentale, abbiamo scelto quella occidentale e ci hanno portato un vassoio con un sacco di roba. La stanza era molto grande, con due letti alla francese per 4 persone, ma ci siamo stati molto comodi. In stanza è presente anche il tradizionale pigiama giapponese, uno per ogni ospite. Nel bagno c'era anche la vasca idromassaggi e i sali da bagno. Peccato esserci stati solo una notte.

Excellent location, welcome and facilities. Breakfast was amazing (choice between Western and Japanese). The room was very good. Extremely comfortable and clean with a lovely little garden at the end (by a window) and a great tub.

We had an incredible stay at the UAN in Kanazawa. The hotel was relaxing, very clean and well maintained with great amenities in our room and firm beds. The western and Japanese breakfasts were amazing and we really enjoyed the complimentary juice, water and coffee. The location was really close to the entrance to the castle park. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kanazawa.

Beautiful hotel. Very close to the the city centre We were very happy to have the possibility to enjoy complimentary coffee, excellent apple and orange juice as well as the soba. Staff very nice and friendly. Washing machine available and very well maintained I really recommend this hotel

Everything was good

I liked the lobby and the screens over the door of your room. The front desk people were super polite and helpful. The room was clean and I liked having two sinks and a little more space. I never used the bath (shower instead) but it looked inviting and I liked the supplies (incl bath salts).

I know this is traditional but I found the bed far too hard and the pillows too hard and flat. And although it was close to the castle, we only walked through the castle and gardens once whereas one goes out to eat several times during a three night stay and there wasn’t much immediately around us. In hindsight, I would have preferred to stay closer to Higashi Chaya.

Room was very clean, very well designed, a combination of modern and traditional Japanese room. Love the aesthetic and the bathroom experience. Staff were polite, friendly and professional. Love the bonus soba at 9pm. Will definitely recommend this accomodation to friends, and will hopefully be able to return to stay there again in the future.

Service was exceptional and personalized. The front desk was helpful in transferring our luggage to Tokyo via a luggage transport service. We loved the comfort and aesthetics of the room, and appreciated that the sink was located outside of the toilet/bathing area. The tub was also very nice. We opted for the breakfast package and tried both the Japanese and western options - both were fantastic. I loved being able to hang out in the lobby area and grab coffee, tea, and a light snack. We also used the laundry facilities, which is one reason I chose this hotel over another boutique hotel in the area.

We liked everything! My only very minor feedback is that the Japanese breakfast was the same for 3 days in a row - it was terrific, but it would have been nice to have something different. On our last day, we switched to the western breakfast, which was also very good!

No city view. Room was advertised as having a city view and “relax in a bath with a city view”. There was no city view just a view of the side of another house!

Location is great , walking distance to all main points in the city and to the market. The hotel is very nice and modern. Room was big and we enjoyed the bubble bath as well. It was also very convenient with cold drinks and coffee for free. Our teenage son enjoyed the portion of complementary noodles every evening. We had also breakfast at the hotel and especially Japanese breakfast was amazing. One of the best hotels we stayed in Japan

Absolutely everything

Location is perfect for castle and market. The hotel is very peaceful and the reception was wonderfully warm. Unfortunately, despite our room being spacious and bright, the ‘city view’ which we had paid for was a view of a brown shed pressed a few meters from our balcony. When I queried this with the lovely staff and some help from google translate, I was told that ‘city view’ actually means ‘city location’. How convenient. So we had paid extra to have a city based room in our city based hotel!! The breakfast was beautifully presented. The bread was delicious but why cover a boiled egg in mysterious mayonnaise? Please put the mayo on the side and let the customer decide if they want them together. In the evening we had hoped to visit the bar for Sake, but each time we checked it was completely empty. Maybe other guests felt the same so maybe we should have got things started? Overall, a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms but they were unable to deal with my relatively minor quibble about not having a city view. For example, they could have 1. Refunded the extra I paid for a city view. 2. Moved us to a room with a city view. Or 3. Provided us with some drinks/ breakfast tokens.

We love the hotel! Quiet and comfortable, very clean and we would love to stay here again if we visit Kanazawa. Hotel facilities are excellent, dyson hair dryer, jacuzzi bath tub, bath salts, daily change Yugata etc. The room is spacious and nicely decorated. A bit distant from the Kanazawa station but around 2000yen taxi ride if you have a lot of luggages or 20mn. Walks. The staff are very friendly and fluent in English.

Almost too understated! Easy to walk or drive past without noticing the hotel. Brilliantly located near the castle and within meters of a beautiful shrine. Modern. Contemporary but with lots of traditional touches including yukatas. The rooms are a little strange..long and narrow with a small terrace. Effective aircon (a must for me) and humidifier. The bathroom has a separate toilet/bath and of course an electronic loo! (Entertaining). The beds are very comfy!! There is a mini fridge and water provided. There is no restaurant for dinner - but free soba noodles serves each evening. 24hrs a day there is coffee/juice available. Breakfast (western or japanese) is prepared at a set time and beautifully presented. It was great each morning. Difficult for me to praise the hotel enough really. Fabulous value for money.

UAN exceeded our expectations. Its central location made it the perfect base for exploring Kanazawa. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, and the rooms were comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Highly recommend staying here!

What a delightful hotel. Staff were charming, checking in was easy. The room was huge and well appointed. The Japanese breakfast was excellent and the late evening ramen was much appreciated. The staff also navigated ta-q-bin for us. This was probably the best hotel of our trip. We even had a balcony and a little garden.

The front door is easy to miss, but that's a minor detail. Once found, everything beyond that point was great.

Our first visit to Kanazawa and we chose UAN for the location and in room onsens. The hotel staff is very welcoming and warm in a manner US hotels rarely achieve. The facilities were spotless and thoughtfully decorated with all amenities needed. We tried both western and japanese breakfast styles, each was excellent, although western breakfast is very large and we didn’t need lunch. Given location, we took advantage of early morning walk in the famous garden which allowed us to enjoy the serene qualities and beauty of the garden without the crowds- that is worth the price of this hotel in itself! Thank you to the staff who were all friendly and helpful, many of whom spoke some english and google translate also ensured ease of communication for more complicated matters. thank you UAN for a wonderful stay! we hope to be back!

La colazione era super, con una varietà incredibile e la possibilità di scegliere, ovviamente, anche la colazione tipica giapponese. La posizione è ottima e strategica per scoprire Kanazawa, che tra l'altro è una città meravigliosa. Il vero valore aggiunto, però è lo staff. Persone preparatissime, gentilissime e che parlavano un inglese perfetto (cosa per nulla scontata e non semplice da trovare in giro per il Giappone). Ci hanno fatto sentire coccolati dall'inizio alla fine. Se andate a Kanazawa, dovete soggiornare qui!

Well appointed - minimalist style was lovely. Felt personal, not too big. Room layout was good and room was a good size. Laundry was great to have access to. Love the bar options in the evening and offerings.

Fantastic staff who made the stay feel very luxurious from the moment they greeted us. Loved being able to come down for soba in our yukata, and a fantastic selection of local sake. The art in the hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are very thoughtfully laid out. Our balcony overlooked a local temple which was stunning. The bath with jets was also appreciated, which combined with the salt soak they provided helped with sore bodies after a long day of exploring. By far one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at, and a surprise gem as it wasn't particularly expensive for what they provided. Thank you to the staff for helping to create a wonderful memory.

Hotel staff was so welcoming and the room was beautiful--we had a terrace room which was really nice in the morning. The bathroom was very well appointed and the breakfast was amazaaaaazing--not the cheapest option, but well worth it. Extremely well located to most everything we wanted to do--an easy walk to everything. Highly recommend this spot

A young man at front desk, Mr. Utsunomiya who has the Australia accent was very nice and helpful. My daughter was delighted about his accent. Despite the bush time of checking time, he welcomed us and was being very polite and tried to assist us. The soba at night was great. This was my second time staying at this hotel and I will probably stay again.

Air conditioning was not working well and it was a bit hot inside but we didn't complain. Somehow the air filter thing worked. It was not too much problem anyway.

Keen and friendly staff. They took time to chat and were curious and so helpful.
