Les espaces communs sont très agréables et conviviaux, l’ensemble est très propre et bien entretenu, et l’emplacement est très pratique. C’est clairement l’un de nos meilleurs souvenirs du voyage et nous reviendrions avec grand plaisir !

Morag's Lodge è un ostello 4 stelle davvero ben tenuto, immerso nel verde e a pochi minuti a piedi dal centro e dalle rive del Loch Ness — posizione perfetta per chi vuole esplorare la zona o percorre il Great Glen Way. L'accoglienza alla reception è stata calorosa e cordiale fin dall'arrivo. La camera era pulita, spaziosa e con bagno privato, e nonostante fosse un ostello siamo riusciti a riposare bene. Nota di merito per il bar la sera, accogliente e con una buona atmosfera, e per la cucina: cena casalinga con prodotti locali e buona scelta a colazione, il tutto a prezzi onesti. Un paio di piccoli appunti che spiegano perché non arrivo al voto pieno: il centro è vicino ma si raggiunge risalendo una breve salita un po' ripida, e trattandosi di un ostello alcuni spazi comuni possono essere affollati nei momenti di punta. Dettagli minori, però, che non hanno rovinato un soggiorno molto positivo. Nel complesso un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo e una base ideale per una sosta sul Loch Ness. Consigliato, soprattutto per una notte di passaggio verso le Highlands.

Como llegamos a la hora de cenar reservamos la cena que está normal pero no te entra ni un simple vaso de agua. Teníamos habitación con lavabo ya que la mayoría el baño es compartido. Lo mejor el desayuno pero todo depende de la gente que haya pagado el desayuno que tienes que bajar de los primeros. El personal muy amable. Está en un pueblo pequeño cerca del lado Ness

Reviewed Aug 27, 2026Das Hostel liegt sehr nah an der Innenstadt von Fort Augustus. In Fort Augustus selbst gibt es viele Möglichkeiten etwas zu essen. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, sauber und die Betten bequem. Unsere Hund waren gerngesehene Gäste. Das Frühstück muss extra bezahlt werden, ist in Buffetform und sehr einfach gehalten.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2026The location was perfect for a stop over. Not far off the bike route we were taking and close to a chippie. Nice touch they offer a packed lunch although we forgot to pick them up.
Maybe the bike shed could be more purpose made to make better use of the space so that bikes don't have to go into the other shed with the kitchen freezer in it. Apart from that everything worked and had a friendly vibe.

Very clever having sockets with a wee shelf for the top bunk, thought that was a very smart design. Plenty of space between the top bunk and the celling so I did not feel enclosed in or risk smaking my head.
Bed was VERY creaky getting up and down so felt bad getting up for a wee in the night as I did not want to disturb the folks in my room.

La salle de bain, parfaite. Le repas du soir, au top. Il y a un bar, que je n’ai pas eu la chance de pouvoir tester.
Peut être le petit déjeuner. Pas assez d’option (notamment pas d’option salée)mais cela permet aussi d’éviter le gâchis.

in bagno non c'era nemmeno un appendino, la camerata era da sei e molto piccola. i letti non erano dotati di tendina, quindi privacy zero. inoltre il mio letto non era dotato né di lucina per la lettura né di presa per la corrente.

Wiecznie nie działały karty do pokoi - było to bardzo uciążliwe, ciągle trzeba było szukać recepcjonisty by to naprawił. Problem pojawiał się , gdy wracało się późno. Śniadanie to pomyłka - piszą ,że wszystko jest home made i dobrej jakości - niestety słabej jakości jedzenie , soki i dżemy ze sklepów. Nie polecam sniadan.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Estaba bien ubicado en un lugar muy tranquilo y bonito. Parking gratuito. Está muy cerca del centro para ir paseando sin necesidad de coger el coche. Desayuno muy básico, pero suficiente para empezar el día.
Te cobran por las toallas y te hacen quitar las toallas el día que te marchas. Encontramos papeles debajo de una de las literas, por lo que nos hizo sospechar de la limpieza de la habitación. La ducha era un poco pequeña.

Personale cordiale e disponibile.parcheggio in loco e centro abitato raggiungibile a piedi in 5 minuti con una bella passeggiata!complimenti per la gestione, super accogliente!

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Les salons d'accueil cosy avec un bar tranquille. L' emplacement de l'hôtel assez près du village. Chambre propre. Une place pour se garer sans pb. Une halte sans problème et reposante. Le rapport qualité prix pour l'Ecosse.
Nous avons été déçus par le petit déjeuner ( pas d'oeufs, pas de fromage... ) Il est vrai qu'il est moins cher qu'ailleurs. Il manque des installations pour poser ses affaires dans la salle de bain ( propre néanmoins).

Para ser un albergue, prácticamente nada. Todo estaba bien... los problemas que tienen los albergues, mucha gente joven, puedes tener ruido y demás, pero sin duda, volveríamos.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026Die Lage ist super! Das Personal ist megafreundlich! Man kann sich sein eigenes Essen machen, den Kühlschrank mitnutzen! Sie trennen dort den Müll - wie zu Hause eben! Wir hatten einen schönen Ausblick - etwas Loch Ness dabei. 😊 Das Badezimmer ist sehr gut! Parkplätze sind vorm Haus. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Es gibt Porridge, Toast, sogar glutenfreie Brötchen auf Nachfrage, Butter, Marmelade und gekochte Eier.
Das Zimmer ist schon ein bisschen klein. Es gibt wirklich nur die Betten dort. Die Kissen sind leider viel zu fest! Sehr wenig Platz für Koffer. Sehr zum Leidwesen meiner Kids ist das WLAN wirklich auffallend schlecht.
