The beds were really hard and uncomfortable. There were no available car parks despite being told there would be space. Had to ask a nearby hotel if we could park in their carpark.

Nothing to complain

Fort Augustus is very touristic during the day, but empties completely in the evening. We couldn't find any place to eat past 22:00. The guesthouse is very simple, very basic, expensive for what is offered. There was self check in which was great because we didn't feel rushed to arrive. Breakfast included but basic. Have stayed in much superior places in our road trip to Scotland with the same money

Wir waren nur auf der durchfahrt nach Skye. Aber das war ein ganz gemütliches Guest House. Das Frühstück ist übersichtlich aber gut. Die Lage ausgezeichnet um den kleinen Ort zu erkunden. Volle Empfehlung.

Very nice and great location

Very clean, the facility has every bit of your need with all what you need to have your food, rest and enjoy

Good location - walking-distance close to the centre of Fort Augustus (granted - it's a small town). The hotel was alright, everything was clean and it was calm in the evenings. Staff was friendly and likeable when around. Free parking, which is a plus. Rooms had decent equipment (water boiler, TV, ...).

Breakfast was labelled complimentary, which is a decent description - it wasn't to write home about. The beds were to soft for my liking, and it's an old house so everything feels a little dated. Staff was only present on arrival and for breakfast in the morning.

Every thing , from the option of getting our own food warmed. To hot chocolate in room. With amazing options of teas. Very good quality of water. The location was amazing too. Was very near to naptune stair case . We had two rooms one was having two beds for the kids. There was amble space for pakring car as well

Hmmm, there is nothing that I can recall that looks objectionable . It might have been good of there is an option of eggs ( boiled or fried ) , added in the breakfast.

Locatie is prima. Op korte loopafstand van het kleine centrum van fort augustus. Je kan er goed parkeren. Fijn dat er een gemeenschappelijke ruimte is. Wel behoorlijk sfeerloos.

Wij hadden een erg kleine kamer. Vergane glorie. De vloerbedekking had zijn beste tijd gehad en de badkamer was weggestopt in een soort zijkamer die je kon bereiken via een trappetje. Bedden waren niet top. Het bleef een beetje bedompt in de kamer, ondanks dat we de ramen continu open hadden staan.

Området hotellet ligger i var spennende, kort vei ned til spisesteder, Loch Ness og kanal og sluser.

Vi ble anvist to store rom i andre etasje og i forskjellige deler av hotellet, som er uten heis. Da vi ba om at det ene rom kunne byttes til et på første etasje fordi den ene av vårt selskap er over 90 og ikke så helt frisk gående fikk vi bare et skuldertrekk som svar.

Location ottima, camera piccola ma con tutto quello che serve. La colazione offerta è stata una grandissima sorpresa e anche buona e varia. Comodo il parcheggio e il self check in. Ottima pulizia.

Great location with off-street parking. My room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfy. The non-breakfast breakfast was very good.

Nos encantó nuestra estancia. Viajábamos con una niña de 22 meses y la habitación era muy amplia, al igual que el baño, por lo que estuvimos muy cómodos. Las zonas comunes también son estupendas: un salón muy grande donde incluso pudimos dejar el carrito y un precioso jardín. La cocina está muy bien equipada, así que algunos días cenamos allí sin problema. El anfitrión fue muy amable y el desayuno nos sorprendió para bien. Además, la ubicación es perfecta, en pleno centro de Fort Augustus, con aparcamiento gratuito justo al lado. Sin duda, volveríamos.

Don't like nearly everything beiy.ng dependant on internet - having to confirm booking online, only getting keycode sent (via internet) on morning of arrival. No doubt we will be told this is more efficient, somehow easier for the customer etc. whereas the true reason is that it is cheaper than employing people - hence, in this case, contributing less to the local economy.

Great location and convenient parking. We were even allowed to leave our car after check-out, which gave us time to explore the town, canals, and lake. The continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Besides the usual cold and sweet options, there was also warm porridge/oatmeal available.

What I didn’t like: This feedback is not about the facilities or the staff, who were helpful, but about the self-check-in process. We arrived late and received a message with our room number. I had specifically booked a spacious twin room with separate beds, for two nights (we wanted to stay in one place with normally unpacked luggage), so comfort and space were important to us. However, when we arrived, the room had already been occupied by someone else. Thankfully, the duty manager was very helpful and assisted us in finding an available room late at night (I literally was walking along the room and knocking the rooms and checking if they were occupied). However, the only room available was much smaller than the one we had booked. The next morning, we had to pack everything again, leave our luggage at reception, and move into the room that had originally been assigned to us. That room was exactly what we had booked from the start: a spacious twin room. While the issue was eventually resolved, it caused unnecessary inconvenience, especially at 10 p.m. after a long day of travel. We also did not receive any compensation for having to spend the first night in a smaller room. Whether this was a system error or another issue, I would recommend reviewing the self-check-in process to prevent similar situations in the future.

Location close to the canal. The breakfast area looking out over the rabbits in the garden. The shower was really good.

Très bien situé. À quelques minutes à pied des restaurants et petites boutiques. Petite cuisine à disposition qui permet de d’apporter notre repas.

A lovely place, and a good breakfast too (and a nice large breakfast room). Also a nice touch is that they let us leave our car in the car park after checkout time, while we did a Loch Ness cruise (we did ask of course). It is not right on Loch Ness (i.e. there is not much of a view), but Loch Ness and the town centre were a very short walk away.

We were walking the great glen way. This guest house is a peaceful and no fuss, efficiently set up operation. Just what we wanted. There is a separate breakfast area and casual lounge area ( with tv) where you could socialise with others ( and benches outside if sunny!). The staff are helpful too. We went to the very near cosy pizza place ( plus drink!) for tea by walking around the nearby hotel.

Prima locatie voor het geld in die omgeving. Maar niet heel sfeervol, personeel is vriendelijk, maar ook niet meer dan nodig, beetje zakelijk. Vond het voor een nacht okay, het is netjes, de bedden zijn goed, de badkamer is prima, en je krijgt ook nog een ontbijt ook al staat dat niet genoemd. Maar als je gaat voor een echt vakantiegevoel, de sfeer van Schotland, dan zou ik iets anders zoeken.

Niet echt sfeervol, beetje zakelijk, prima voor een nacht.

We absolutely loved our stay at Loch Ness Guest House. Was clean, cozy and comfortable with the perfect location. The staff were helpful and the complimentary breakfast was just what we needed!

Lovely little hotel with communal garden. Breakfast was provided even though not advertised that this was offered as part of the price. Great spot a couple of minutes walk from Loch Ness.

Very welcoming experience staying at Loch Ness Guest House. Lounge and kitchen facilities were great and more than expected. Complimentary continental breakfast was very generous. Location was great, you can easily wander about Fort Augustus. Have a drink with the locals at the Legion pub, lovely people and great to chat to

Die Zimmer waren ausreichend groß , es gab ein kleines aber gutes Frühstück . Das Personal war (wenn vor Ort) freundlich.

Es war kein freier Parkplatz vorhanden. Wir mussten auf dem kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz im Ort parken und zu Fuß zur Unterkunft laufen. Es war kein Personal vor Ort um den Checkin durchzuführen oder die Parkplatzsituation zu klären. Code für die Tür wurde per Email geschickt , Schlüssel lag im offenen Zimmer auf dem Bett. Wir waren etwas spät , aber im Zeitfenster der angegebenen Check in Zeit.

The manager cancelled one of our bookings a while after accepting the booking which wasn’t professional and left me with a problem finding accommodation for 2 people elsewhere. When we arrived I checked what time breakfast was and was told 08.00hrs. Very late that night I received a text asking me to move breakfast back as they had booked in a large party, I explained this was not possible as plans had already been made with the party staying elsewhere. He suggested 07.45 as a compromise which I accepted. However, when we arrived there was no breakfast ready, so it ended up being 08.00 after all. The room was ok but instead of a kitchen in the room perhaps a comfortable seat and better hanging space would be better.
