The location of the homestay is amazing. Close to nature and calm, you will not be bothered by the loud cars, scooters and tourist. Amazing to calm down in nice pool and clean rooms and only 10 minute bike (which you can use for free) away from old town. The family is really kind and very welcoming, it gives a homelike feeling. They also did our laundry for free and the breakfast is also great! Highly recommend if you want peace and quite but good acces to town!

The rooms are not the most up to date (but for us this is no problem and the hospitality and location make it worthwhile)

The host, Kiet, was welcoming and warm. He took care of everything we needed. On our first night he arranged a family dinner for all the guests and it was a great local experience. The pool was a lifesaver for our kids and the breakfast was perfect and our kids especially enjoyed this place, we would definitely come back.

Our favourite place we have stayed in Vietnam! A beautiful clean pool and lovely bedroom with countryside views and the occassional sounds of quiet village life. Thiet and family were friendly and helpful. We didn't want to leave!

L’accueil hyper chaleureux de la famille qui gère l'hôtel. Ils sont tous ''aux petits soins'' des clients. Nous avons été invités à partager un repas avec eux et 3 autres résidents. Repas traditionnel vietnamien, délicieux, copieux et cuisiné par la maman. On se serait cru en famille. Un moment et un lieu que nous n'oublierons pas. L'emplacement bien qu’un peu éloigné du centre ville n’est pas un problème. Mais quel calme. La campagne à la ville. Je recommande vivement et souhaite à cette famille une belle continuation.

Excellent stay! The staff were amazing, always available, attentive, and very welcoming, with a warm family atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Very good breakfast. A special mention for the dinner invitation, even though we couldn’t attend, it was a very thoughtful gesture. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality!

The bathroom could benefit from a bit of refreshing, as it is starting to feel slightly dated. It would also be great to have better blackout curtains or shutters, as the room gets very bright early in the morning (around 6:00 am). The location is charming and peaceful, but a bit far from the old town, and getting a Grab can take some time (usually around 6 to 8 minutes).

Un immense merci à Kiet et sa famille pour ce merveilleux séjour à Hoi An. Nous avons eu un accueil chaleureux. Ils sont toujours disponibles pour aider et donner de bons conseils. Le petit déjeuner était exceptionnel, copieux, frais et délicieux, un vrai bonheur chaque matin. L’ambiance du homestay est paisible et authentique, on s’y sent tout de suite bien. De plus la chambre est impeccable, et la literie très confortable. Nous recommandons cet endroit à 100 % et reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Es ist ein Homestay, sehr familiär und extrem nette und aufmerksame Besitzer. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig (das haben wir auch gesucht) und dennoch waren wir mit den Fahrrädern in 15min in der Altstadt. Frühstück gab es immer ‚just in Time‘ zubereitet. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in der 2. Etage mit Balkon.

Kiet and family were very kind and lovely people. This place is cosey with nice little pool. Food is good, bed comfy overall highly recommend.

Not a problem as we knew before staying, but is some distance from old town. Sometimes hard to get grab car, always managed though. Grab bikes easier and more responsive.

Lovely quiet property on cam nam island with genuinely welcoming hosts who were very responsive and happy to help with any requests no matter how small. Bicycles available to easily reach Hoi An through back roads. Relaxing retreat after the noise and bustle of town and delicious breakfast each morning.

Kiêt’s family is dedicated to giving their guests the best, most peaceful experience. All guests were invited to a fine family meal, free of charge, the evening we arrived. Kiêt’s kind older sister is in charge of breakfasts. Coffee is instant, otherwise it’s all good. When a Grab car cancelled for a trip to a restaurant, Kiet generously drove us in his own car. The quiet river island location (small town to small holdings) was well outside overcrowded Hoi An. That suited us perfectly. We arranged a Grab driver to Hoi An city centre, a brief visit at 0630 on Sunday, when there were people but no crowds. There are bicycles to use, free of charge. One of our Sunday strolls took us past the tipsy conclusion of a wedding celebration. We were warmly invited to join in beer and karaoke.

Kiêt’s airport driver was unavailable: a friend of a friend drove. He was 15 minutes late, then drove to the centre of Hoi An, left us several minutes to pick up someone’s tailoring parcel. His tiny Hyundai i10 ‘Grand’ sedan 92A 082 58 was a Grab car. I have driven in 11 countries. This man’s reckless speeding & cutting in particularly endangered motorcyclists. When he drove holding or fiddling with his phone in left hand, while changing gear with right hand, zero hands were on the steering wheel. Yes, we got to the boarding gate at Da Nang airport exactly at boarding time, but our stressful experience was opposite to Kiêt’s tranquil homestay. Kiet apologised; he acted in good faith. I hope nobody else has similar experience

We liked everything about Riverside Hamlet Homestay. The staff were so welcoming. The location is fabulous - away from the madding tourist crowds! :-). Breakfast each day was a delight. And they even invite all their guests to a home cooked banquet once a week - so it’s worth being there even just for that!

Moc krásné ubytování, pohodlná postel a hezký výhled z balkonů. Moc jsme si užili, že bylo ubytování na klidném místě u řeky, celá rodina byla velmi příjemná a nápomocná.

The hosts are wonderfully kind and considerate. We stayed in a large room with two very big beds, we only needed one, which gave us 2 good nights sleep. We had a wonderful surprise on the first night,being invited to a family meal.

Our shower area was ready for some attention.

Vielen Dank an Kiet und seine Familie. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Alle sind sehr aufmerksam. Kiet hat sehr viel für uns organisiert. Jeden Tag konnten wir den Zimmerservice nutzen falls wir es gewünscht hätten und wir haben Wasser erhalten sowie ein leckeres Frühstück. Am Abreisetag haben wir sogar unser Frühstück to go bekommen. Die Unterkunft liegt ruhig auf einer Insel und mit Fahrrad oder zu Fuß ist alles relativ schnell zu erreichen.

El hotel es super bonito, en una zona muy tranquila pero a la vez solo a 10 minutos en moto del la ciudad antigua. El desayuno esta muy rico y lo mejor es el personal. Los propietarios son encantadores, te ayudan con cualquier cosa que necesites y te hacen sentir de su familia.

THE most fantastic stay we have had in Vietnam by far! The sweetest hosts, so welcoming and it really feels like a home! The bed was also the most comfortable bed we’ve had in all of our travels. I could not recommend this place more!!! Even the homemade breakfast was perfect, with fresh juices and coffees too. We can’t wait to come back and stay🥰

Kiet has created a little paradise! We arrived very late in the night because of our bus, and he waited for us, welcoming us in with hot tea and a big smile. Him and his family do everything to make your stay as comfortable as you can imagine. Every morning, we enjoyed a freshly made breakfast prepared immediately when we came downstairs. We even got a free room upgrade, the rooms are beautiful and super clean, the mattresses are the most comfortable ones we have ever slept on- like clouds! We also could take bikes for free and the old town was easily reachable. Thanks for everything, we will recommend this place to our family and friends!

We chose this place because it was a welcome break from the busyness of the Old City and it was the best decision. The previous reviews are correct. Kiet & family are so generous in their hospitality. Once a week, they invite guests to join them for dinner and we were lucky to come on the right day and for to meet his mother, wife & other guests & have home-cooked food. Kiet also gave a run-down of available activities and events with no pressure to book tours. The bed was the most comfortable in our 3 weeks in Vietnam. Super thick with a topper! Breakfasts are freshly prepared and delicious whether you have Vietnamese food or eggs. The place is an easy cycle to the centre, and bikes are free to use. Lovely to cycle around the area as the road is tranquil and by the river. Kiet told us about the impact of the Memories show on him and we decided to go - he was right. His sister booked us a massage and it was good. We fell in love with the family and didn't really want to leave. When we delayed after checking out because of the rain, his wife invited us to join us for lunch. There was just so much warmth and kindnesses from the hosts. Thanks very much, Kiet.

Friendliness of the owners. And the breakfasts were fantastic.

This beautiful property is private, peaceful and only a 10min ride in a Grab to the centre of Hoi An. Kiet met us on arrival and gave us a full debrief of the property, the area, best routes into Hoi An from the villa's location in the hamlet, and the available tours and attractions out of Hoi An. He also made us a booking for a cooking class which was excellent. Kiet's sister cooked us breakfast every morning, and we have a marvellous dinner with the entire family on our second night there, with Kiet's mother cooking us a sumptious, traditional Vietnamese banquet. Thank you Kiet and family, we really loved our stay and have recommended to all our family and friends.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft , das beste war die freundliche Familie die alles für einen günstig organisiert hat . Es gab sogar einen Familien Abend mit einem fantastischen Essen. In die Altstadt geht es in nur 10 min mit dem kostenlosen Fahrrad. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen .

Das einzige was man ändern könnte wäre ein Vorhang oder eine Matte zwischen den Balkonen um ungestörter zu sein .

A bit further from town than I had realised. Too far to walk and not the most straight forward to get taxis from.

Posizione bellissima in riva al fiume, fuori dal caos del centro. La stanza è spaziosa e dotata di ogni comfort. Il letto è di una comodità mai provata prima. Le biciclette in dotazione funzionano molto bene e la colazione è squisita.

Abbiamo avuto la sfortuna di soggiornare con una coppia di ragazzi che amava impossessarsi della piscina, invitando tutti i bambini del quartiere. Cosa graziosissima quando succede una volta. Non ogni sera (4notti passate in questo albergo) alla stessa ora che ti rendono impossibile usare la piscina a tua volta. Ci sarebbe piaciuto usufruire della piscina e di più degli spazi comuni, ma non è stato possibile.

Lovely Homestay with a beautiful family. Couldn’t be more welcoming. They arranged our pick up from the airport and drop off to Da Nang station (via marble mountain) They have lovely cool Aircon rooms, a fantastic swimming pool, tea and coffee facilities in room and a mini fridge with beer and treats (extra but very reasonable). There are lots of bikes to borrow for an easy cycle into Hoi An old town (very touristic but interesting) - only takes about 10-15 minutes at a leisurely pace. On our last night they prepared a free family dinner for all the guests - it was wonderful to be able to share a meal with the host and the other guests. The host could not have been kinder and the Homestay is a real family effort. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Thanks

Away from the hustle and bustle of the old town, giving an element of local life and Vietnamese community. See rice paddy’s, local residences and river views.

It’s a little spot tucked down narrow lanes with twists and turns. A little night drama to find your way, but absolutely charming and throwing local neighbourhood and cultural vibes. All neighbours paused to offer navigation, so we weren’t really ‘lost’. 😉

Kiet and his family were amazing hosts, I arrived quite late and he still personally checked me in and took me through activities and experiences I could do while staying in Hoi an, the accommodation was phenomenal, with probably the comfiest bed I've ever stayed in abroad, the room was large with enough space to comfortably move around in, the bathroom was nice and tidy. If you're someone who likes walking the Old Town is just a 35 minute walk or a 10 minute bike ride (they have bikes available for you to use) and the location is enough out of the way you don't get any noise from the main road in Cam Nam island. They do a family/Guest dinner at least once a week and it was a really cool experience eating local/traditional food and getting to know and understand Kiet and the vision he had when he started the homestay - This is an amazing example of how a homestay should be handled Thank you Kiet and family!!

We loved everything - from the warm welcome and the useful information of our hosts, the breakfast, the spacious rooms with a lovely view and the calmness of the place to the nice location - quiet, but still just a 10 minutes bike ride (or a few minutes with grab) to the old town. If I ever go back to Hoi An, this will be the place to stay!

We stayed at the property for 5 days and we had a great time. The host and his family were great—warm, friendly, and always helpful. They even invited us to have dinner with them, which was a great experience. The included breakfast was exceptional, and the location, just outside the old town, was perfect for us. It only takes about 10 minutes to reach the old town by bike, and the ride is really enjoyable. Plus, they provide free bikes at the property which is quite conveniet. The entire place is clean, well-maintained, and has a lovely outdoor space to chill. I definitely recomend this place

I had an amazing stay here. The people that own it are so lovely , friendly and helpful . Very clean, comfortable room and great breakfast. I would definitely recommended this to anyone . Set in a nice , quiet part but not too far from the Old Town and they have free bikes to use. Also was inivted,along with the other guests, to a delicious home cooked meal on evening.

A beautiful property on the quiet side of the island, but only a short bike ride into the old town of Hoi An. The rooms are spacious and clean with amazing views and comfy beds. Kiet and his family are kind and generous hosts. They made our stay so comfortable and invited us to a delicious home cooked dinner. We'd love to come back!

Kiet and his family were a very friendly host and helped us with all our requests. The homestay has very nice large rooms with good beds, a nice view and a small but atmospheric pool which almost feels like a private pool! They also invited us to join family dinner which was very tasteful and pleasant to talk with Kiet and other guests If you want to stay in a quiet place but still close enough to the Hoi An Old Town by bike (10 min), then this is the place to stay. The homestay is not located at walking distance of the Old Town so to get there you can borrow bikes for free (10 min ride) or use a taxi. You’ll get a peaceful place and environment in return

Kien and his family are just beautiful human beings. We feel so grateful that we could spend time with them and for everything they did for us. Villa is so nice and clean exactly as on pictures, breakfasts were very good and the pool just awesome. Also location is really quiet but super safe and just 15 mins cycling to the old town (you can rent them for free :)). We got invited for dinner but also breakfast out and had a chance to taste some local food which we would have never tried. Kien also arranged tours/tickets/taxi and basically everything for us. 120% recommend it! Thank you for having us, we had so much fun and enjoyed the whole stay🫶

It is a very comfortable villa if you are staying as a group. Value for money is excellent and support and help from Kiet was amazing, both before our arrival but also during our stay

The room is very clean and spacious. Appartment is located in a quiet neighbourhood, about 15 minutes cycling to the old city. The use of bicycles is free. But what makes this house extraordinary is host Kiet and his family. They are warm and caring people and nothing is too much for them. Kiet arranged a motorbike for us, went to the market to buy some repairs, helped us organise our self drive transfer to Hue and much more. When you are staying in Hoi An, you should definitely stay here!!

The loveliest place we have stayed in Vietnam!! The property itself is beautiful and in a really lovely location on Cam Nam island so really peaceful overlooking the river, yet only 10 minutes by (free) bike to the Old City. Lovely pool to cool down in after a hot day sightseeing. The breakfasts are amazing, so much delicious food offered!!!! You won’t be hungry afterwards!! However the main reason this is a wonderful place to stay is due to the owner Kiet who is truly one of the kindest and most generous people you will ever meet!! He welcomes you into his home and really makes you feel like part of the family, and we so enjoyed sharing a meal with him and his family and the other guests on our last night. Cannot recommend this property enough and we will certainly stay here again the next time we are in Hoi An - thank you so much Kiet!! 🙏

The Riverside Homestay is an excellent choice in Hoi An. Despite its proximity to the town center (10-15 minutes by bicycle), it offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere. The well-connected surroundings make it easy to explore key attractions like the old town center, An Bang beach, rice fields, or a basket boat tour. Kiet and his lovely family, the owners, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The delightful breakfasts and a memorable dinner invitation on our last night enhanced the fantastic experience. They also managed our laundry and taxi transfers. Our rooms mirrored the advertised pictures, showcasing a tasteful interior design. The homestay was exceptionally clean and tidy. Our time at this homestay was truly outstanding.

It is a lovely place, owned by a very nice family, surrounded by garden and palm trees. They did everything they can to make us feel comfortable. The room was pretty big and full of light. The owner spoke really good English and helped us with everything, renting a scooter, laundry and even pick up when we left. The breakfast was delicious.

They need to do some repairs in the room and ventilated because it was a little bit smelly. The location was a bit too far for us from the old city.

Kiet and family at the Homestay were really friendly and professional. Kiet gave us good suggestions and ideas for what we could do and see while in Hoi An. The rooms are big, clean and the beds are really good. The breakfast was tasteful with the option for both Vietnamese and European food. On one evening they invited us and the other guests for dinner with the family, if you get that opportunity I would recommend you to say yes. Good food, good conversations and laughter filled the room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kiet's place. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by him and his family. The homestay is located in a very quiet and pleasant area, with the Old Town easily reachable by bike within a few minutes. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again anytime.
