Oasis Kathmandu Hotel

Breakfast was great and in a great location. The manager was super helpful with giving us the best ways to move around Nepal and what to do in other towns. All of the staff are lovely and very accomodating.

During the booking process, the hotel mentioned that airport pickup or drop was available, so as I was arriving very late at night, I requested a pickup. However, the hotel replied that since it would be around midnight, they could not provide airport pickup and instead offered to drive me back to the airport. As a guest arriving in a new city late at night, I was already nervous and had specifically requested assistance with airport transportation. Unfortunately, the response did not feel very helpful or welcoming. I was given a room on a very high floor, which quite a bit of walking. traveling alone but was given a large three bedroom room It felt somewhat uncomfortable and disappointing rather than thoughtful. The breakfast selection as a good I was particularly disappointed with the paratha, which was dry and did not taste fresh or traditional. Another issue was the atmosphere during breakfast. A manager or owner was sitting at the next table with a group and having a very loud conversation, which disturbed the peaceful breakfast environment. Unfortunately, there did not seem to be much consideration for other guests who were trying to enjoy a quiet meal. Overall, while there were some positive aspects to the stay, the late-night arrival experience, room allocation, and lack of consideration for guests' comfort during breakfast made the stay less enjoyable than I had expected.

The place is great. Breakfast was delicious and varied. The neighbourhood is quiet and everybody was kind and helpful. I don't know how much they are paying to Ranjit, but they should pay him more, because he was an amazing help at 4:00 am, when he offered me fruit and carried my heavy suitcase. It was a pitty I had run out of cash, because I would have given him a nice tip.

When carrying my suitcase at the moment of checking out I missed the pressence of a lift in the building.

Todo. La ubicación del hotel es perfecta. Estás en Thamel pero sin el ruido y el ajetreo del tráfico de este barrio. Además en la misma calle hay un supermercado y una oficina para cambiar dinero. El personal del hotel no puede ser más atento. Están dispuestos en todo momento a ayudarte en lo que sea necesario. Las instalaciones del hotel están de maravilla. Todas las habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado y el baño tiene la ducha separada, cosa que en Nepal se agradece. Tuvimos la oportunidad de cenar en el restaurante y la calidad-precio es insuperable. Es un hotel altamente recomendable!!!

I checked in very late on 31 July - almost around midnight, and Ranjet was incredibly helpful in arranging my room and making sure everything was sorted. What touched me the most was that he noticed from my passport that my birthday was on 1 August. Just after midnight, he called my room to wish me a happy birthday. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture, and I was genuinely touched. By the way, his Chinese is also very good, which made communication even easier.

Ranjit is very accommodating and the rest of the team. Location wise is perfect if you want to see a lot of places in Kathmandu. Room is very spacious and has comfy bed. Downside is they don’t have elevator but someone will help you to carry your luggage to your room. I definitely recommend this place to stay if you’re planning to visit Kathmandu.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The hotel was excellent, and its location was perfect. Every staff member was incredibly warm, courteous, and welcoming. A special thanks to Ms. Banita and Mr. Ranjit, Mr. Vishnu and Mr. Suresh for their exceptional hospitality. From the security team to the F&B service staff, everyone made us feel genuinely cared for. It never felt like we were staying in a hotel it truly felt like a home away from home during our time in Nepal. Thank you for making our stay so memorable. We would love to come back again.

Very standard bathroom in the booked room. Welcoming staff and manager. Breakfast is upto standard. Location is exceptionally nice with proximity to tourist spots such as King's Palace and Garden of Dreams.

Hotel has no lift which may be difficult for some people especially those on higher floors. Another point to be informed of, not necessarily bad, is that the balconies are also common balconies for 2-3 rooms of the floor.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff are really nice, the rooms, service are excellent. The location is perfect. They allowed me to do advance check-in and they even upgraded my rooms to deluxe for free.

部屋の密閉性が低いことが良い。私はタバコの煙にさえ劇症反応したことがあるほどの極端なハウスダストアレルギー体質なので（知る限りそれほどの症例は世界で報告されていない）密閉性が高い空間の空気は吸えないのですが、このホテルは古典的なドア構造でシャワー室に向けて隙間風が流れるので多くの部屋のハウスダストレベルが低く抑えられている。私のような稀有なアレルギー体質の人でも空気を吸えるネパールでは極めて稀な（他に知りません）ホテルです。

階段の踊り場が外に面したテラスになっている一角がありテーブルと灰皿が置かれている。隣室の人がタバコを吸っていて階段の昇り降り時に吸わされてしまうことが何度かあった。喫煙所は（近年日本で多少見られるようになった）密閉型にするか他の部屋への動線から15m以上は離して欲しい。

いくつかありますが、特に良かったところ ・無料で部屋をアップグレードしてくれた ・お部屋が綺麗だった ・スタッフさんが優しかった

The only positive aspects were the location and the attentiveness of the staff. In particular, Paban was incredibly helpful and kind.

rated this hotel 3 out of 10 primarily because getting any sleep was impossible. Throughout the night, there were people constantly screaming in the hallways. On top of that, a car alarm on the street kept going off continuously. Because the room doors are made of wood, they offer no soundproofing at all, and every single noise comes straight into the room. Additionally, the breakfast was quite weak, the cleanliness was not up to par, and there was a noticeable musty/humid smell in the room.

I spent 4 nights at Oasis Kathmandu during my recent Nepal visit. What I love most about this hotel is its location. It is within walking distance to many markets, restaurants, and attractions. Yet the location is calm and quiet. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. There is no elevator, and my room was on the 4th floor. It was not a problem for me, but be aware if you have mobility issues. The a la carte lunch and dinner options were good. I wish the breakfast buffet offered more variety. I would not rate this hotel 5 star as some have, but I think it offers unbeatable location and value for the money.

Nice budget stay at the edge of Thamel, with the shops and restaurants of Thamel just a stone's throw away. Short walk to Kathmandu Durbar Square and the Palace Museum. Compact rooms are ideal for tourists who want to spend most of their time exploring Kathmandu and surroundings. Rooms are very clean with clean bathroom and hot water. Tip : Avoid hailing taxis off the street outside the hotel as they will tend to overcharge. It is better to use a taxi hailing app like InDrive.
