We booked this for 1 night after travelling back on the ferry from Ireland as a layover before continuing our journey, the host was great as we were due in very late at night and left all the keys and check in details for us, we were pleasantly surprised on entry as it was larger than expected and was great to have cooking facilities so late in the evening, place was great, comfy beds, location was excellent, very enjoyable

Lots of space and great location.

The apartment was easy to reach, parking is close by. We stayed in a ground floor apartment, which felt very safe. Everything was exceptionally clean and we found everything we needed for our weekend stay. We have been to Stranraer and Portpatrick a few times, but this was our first stay at Quay Head View. We will definitely return, as this was the most comfortable and clean of all accommodations we visited so far. Communication was great at all times, special thanks to Colin. Perfect weekend for a family of three.

Our fourth overnight stay to break journey before/after taking Cairnryan-Belfast ferry. Clean, comfortable and spacious apartment. Housekeeping was very good and staff friendly. Has a lift which is both mobility friendly and also for us as we had quite a lot of luggage.

The most well equipped self catering place I've every stayed in. The apartment was spacious and comfortable., the lift a bonus. Good location and plenty of parking, would definitely stay here again.

We liked the location however we did think it would be nicer if you arrived before 4 p.m. that there was someone at Quay Head View to greet you rather than having to enter a combination code which we found at first wouldn't work.

We didn't like the bedroom which had a bunk bed in front of the window which cut out the light and also meant you had no view in the bedroom. We also found the double bed uncomfortable.

The accommodation was very easy to find, was immaculately clean inside and felt like a home from home. The view from our windows over to the sea were great too, I will definitely be back!

Our family of five had an absolutely fabulous stay at Quay Head View Aparthotel in Stranraer. The apartment was spotless, spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect family stay. A special thank you to Mr. Colin, the owner, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. He looked after us exceptionally well and made us feel right at home. His hospitality truly made our stay even more memorable. We highly recommend Quay Head View Aparthotel and will definitely stay here again!

There is Nothing that i disliked.

Excellent location right by harbour and very close to town centre. The apartment had everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Good base for visiting local attractions and South west area.

The only thing I would say that let the apartment down slightly was the sofa has seen better days.

We stayed in the corner apt on the second floor. Very clean and light. We only stayed one night, anyone looking to explore this area would do well to book this apt. Great value for money. Fully equipped. Nothing you would need. Will stay again.

Great place to stay overnight before early ferry crossing. Free car park across the road with space for vans and trailers (I could see my car and trailer from my window). Despite arriving late, warm welcome from helpful owner and staff. Spacious apartment, spotlessly clean. Plenty of space and self contained facilities for a longer stay.

Lift wasn’t working (under repair) and stair carpet looks a bit worn, but don’t be put off - inside, the apartment was modern, clean and well furnished.

It was a nice and affordable place for a quick weekend away to spend some time in nature.

Very clean and spacious apartment. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Great option for pets as there was green space nearby to walk our dog. Close to amenities. Would definitely recommend.

The apartment was fantastic: lots of windows, plenty of space and a very well-equipped kitchen. Parking in the free public car park across the road was easy. We wish we could have stayed longer.

The Bell button on the intercom (which is critical to opening the main door) seems to have a loose wire or something. It took us 10 minutes of repeatedly entering the code (using the Bell button as instructed) before we got the door open. Once we finally got it working we realised that none of the dozen or so times we had pressed the Bell button had actually worked. You need to keep pressing it until it asks for a password: don’t proceed onto entering the number until it asks for the 6-digit password. If it asks for the tenant code it hasn’t recognised that you pressed the Bell button.

Apartments where spacious, very clean and have everything you need, beds where very comfortable it's also in a fantastic location near shops places to eat and drink supermarkets etc would highly recommend and great value for money can't wait to go again and have already decided im staying longer next time.

Stranraer is a great location from which to explore the surrounding area. The apartment we had was light and airy and very clean. The large free car park opposite was very convenient and there are 3 supermarkets in close proximity, one a short walk away.

Only saying because review form asks for any not likes! There was light at night coming through internal door from communal hall, Slightly noisy at pub closing time. Bath taps quite stiff. Minor, minor niggles that did not detract from truly excellent accommodation.

Great first impressions, looks and smells so lovely, very comfortable and quiet, didn't get WiFi in flat but someone told me to put password in at reception and it worked right away, would recommend it, the lift is really useful too.

I thought internet TV but it was there and I didn't need it.

We liked that we had options to make our own meals. Also loved walking along the sea wall. Was very close to everything.

It was chilly while we were there and wish we could have controlled the heat. Also the bunk bed was very annoying would think the room would be better utilized with 2 doubles.

It's a wonderful place to stay. Colin and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Great location with lovely views, easy walking distance from the town and the beach. We would highly recommend and intend to return.

It was very fiddly to get in as once the door code was used there was very little time to get the door open before it locked itself again . The road outside the property had double yellow lines so it was difficult to park and unload the car. .

The place is very nice to put it mildly and I would describe everyone at this facility as an excellent representation of what we know and have come to expect when returning to Scotland.. "friendliness, courteous, meticulous and very hospitable and decent people" The facility was super nice and 100% consistent (or better) with the description. A wonderful experience !
