Reviewed Sep 17, 2026It was clean, quiet, and 24/7 security. The staff cleaned your room daily. New sheets, towels, the works. I'm used to every 4 or 5 days.
The location was 1½ large blocks to the closest restaurant. However, it's around the corner to Paul Kruger House. Not enough hangers or hooks.

We arrived for checking in just after 8. It was packed with school children. Okay, no problem, but then we waited for about 30 minutes without assistance, and the receptionist was there, not even looking at us util we demaded her attention. The noise was too loud the running up and down the stairs, children shouting in the hallway it was bad. The bed made sound when you turn, the tap by the basin was broken. We had to figure out how to open and close it. The bathroom was not as clean as expected. There was no toilet brush. We are really not happy with my sta there.

Well, check in was said at 14:00, when we arrived the cleaner was still busy, the hall looked like a back alley laundry business. There where guys changing aircon units, of which our aircon was not working. the third bed was not made and we requested 3 beds. We ended up leaving and not staying over.

The mattress was uncomfortable. The pillowcase cover had black stains, and I could smell the sweat off the pillows. The room could use some air freshener, scented candles, or scented sticks. The skirting board were dusty. The aircon was not working.

I spent a night there, not the first time I book there for my examination and the reeom is exactly what I need before a hectic exam or preparing for an exam. I also noticed that a lot of people actually book there for their exams
Wish they had a small table to study on and a small kettle for coffee as I book there to prepare for an exam. So I need coffee and it’s available at the reception for free but then they close at 11pm making difficult for one to get coffee after that time.
