Besides being beautiful spotlessly clean and beds so comfortable you could sleep forever and with perfect pillows the location couldn’t get any better

If anything I didn’t particularly care for the breakfast buffet but we did get to breakfast 45 minutes before closing and food was cold. Everything else was perfect

With kids, would have liked to be closer to an elevator, and been on the second floor for the pool. One hot tub jets were broke and getting drinks at the pool the barcode didn’t work sometimes

Très belle hôtel avec de très belle prestations. Le hall d’entrée est magnifique, les chambres chambres sont très propres. La literie est très bien également. Les jeux de société et le billards sont sympathiques en famille. Nous avons pu nous garer tous les jours dans le parking de l’hôtel sans problème. Les extérieurs avec la piscine et les bains chauds sont vraiment appréciables.

Salle de sport pas au niveau du reste. Il manque quelques machines

Really friendly helpful staff, the heated pool and spa was great we ate at the restaurant which was fabulous. What we loved was the proximity to the town centre and easy driving to hikes and it wasn’t touristy like Banff

Service was good and the hotel is comfortable and quiet, but it has no ambience and is nothing special. Canmore is a pleasant location and although a long way form the local tourist sites has a range of eateries and bars.

Initially, the hotel was great. Nice walkable location and close to Banff. However during my stay the parking garage (parkade) flooded with sewage. Guests had to wade through sewage to get their vehicles and track it in their vehicles. The smell was awful and could be smelled throughout the hotel. The hotel eventually closed the parkade and provided valet parking at a rented lot, but many guests had already had to face wading through sewage. The hotel offered a $75 compensation for the inconvenience, which was basically an insult. $75 didn't even cover the breakfast buffet for all of our room occupants. The Stirling restaurant was excellent. The room housekeeping was excellent.

Breakfast was okay. Food could have been hotter. The omelets were made fresh and hot. They were good! Location was good. Too much construction going on all around the property though!! Two new hotels right next door are being built. And at the pool, workers working right there. Noisy, back and forth, etc. The garage was flooded but we didn’t have a problem finding street parking. Emma at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. The housekeeping was wonderful. Our room was always freshened up.

The price! Construction everywhere. I had a hard time figuring out the shower as well. I would have preferred a room on a higher floor for a better view, but it was still pretty of the mountains and garden area.

The location is amazing. The views are outstanding. Every staff member we interacted with was so nice. The restaurant was fantastic.

The room was beautiful, the bed was comfy, the view from the balcony was perfection. Canmore was stunning and the Malcolm was walking distance and driving distance to everything. Do yourself a favour and have a chat to Danielle the concierge if you need any advice on hikes or things to do. She is very passionate about her job and was great on advising us on all things great suited to us in the area!

Lovely hotel, staff are fantastic, comfortable beds and nice touches like robes. Pool area is really nice.

There is ongoing construction which was right beneath our room and by the pool area, very noisy through the day if you had just come back to chill out for a bit. I think it would have been nice if the hotel had forewarned about this, perhaps provided a discount as a token gesture.

All the food we tried was excellent.

Breakfast was excellent, but the buffet was much too expensive. We ate there 4 mornings and maybe 6 people total used the buffet. It did look excellent, but just too expensive.

Great location, in beautiful Canmore. Easy stroll into town which was packed with restaurants and shops. Felt so much more comfortable than staying in Banff.

Excellent service and amenities, at a great location by the river and close to town. Housekeeping was neat, front desk friendly and extremely helpful. The view from the bedroom was breathtaking in the morning (photo attached).

Loved our stay here! Excellent facilities, very clean and staff were amazing! We had turn down service every night with the curtains drawn, cookies on the bed and water on the bedside table, lovely touch after busy hiking days. The pool was fabulous! Lovely walk along the creek behind the hotel

This was an exceptional hotel! Everything was perfect with our stay and we would love to visit again.

We were shocked and extremely disappointed to find out there was major construction happening right next door to the hotel. The noise started early in the morning and was so loud that we could not sleep at all. Instead of waking up rested and enjoying our stay in Canmore, we were forced awake by constant construction noise. The disruption did not stop in the morning — the construction continued throughout the entire day, making it impossible to relax, enjoy the hotel, or spend any peaceful time in our room. For a hotel charging premium prices, this level of disturbance is completely unacceptable. What makes this even more frustrating is that we were not properly informed about the construction before our stay. Guests should be given the opportunity to make an informed decision before booking a hotel where they will be subjected to hours of loud construction every day. This completely ruined our experience, and we would not recommend staying here until the construction is finished.

Everything! Location, staff, breakfast was magnificent, dinner was delicious and the menu was extensive. Our rooms were very spacious, spotlessly clean with stunning views of the mountains and comfortable beds. The hotel is within walking distance to all of the beautiful town of Canmore and other pretty walking trails.

Great hotel. Very clean. Staff were friendly and polite. The hotel is located in a great place in Canmore within walking distance to pretty much anywhere within in the town. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful, with stunning mountain surroundings and excellent facilities, which makes this even more disappointing. We paid extra for a mountain-view room, yet were never informed that construction work was taking place directly in front of it. Instead of enjoying the peaceful scenery we had paid for, our balcony was filled with constant banging, drilling, and the smell of bitumen. The construction started at 9:00 am and continued until around 9:20 pm every day, making it impossible to relax. It also completely ruined the pool and hot tub experience, as the work was taking place right beside them. What I find most unacceptable is that the hotel failed to tell guests about this before arrival. Had we been informed, we could have decided whether to stay elsewhere or at least not pay extra for a mountain-view room that we couldn't enjoy. The lack of transparency was extremely disappointing and fell well below the level of service we expected, especially for the price we paid.

The Malcolm Hotel is the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff is phenomenal, the location is amazing, and it is one of the most breathtaking places you could possibly imagine. Every detail is thawed out and it is well worth every penny. Meals were phenomenal staff was delightful, and the amenities are well worth every penny. It made going to Canmore and Banff so great! Highly recommended.

Canmore is a lovely town in Canada about 20 mins from Banff. The Malcolm is a new-ish hotel about a 5-min walk from town on a very nice canal path. The staff at the Malcolm are friendly and accommodating. The food is VERY good. Highly recommend.

An absolutely lovely hotel. Rooms are extremely comfy with lovely linens, comfy beds. The towels are the softest/fluffiest I’ve ever had! The view from our room was truly stunning ( over looking the mountains) . There is a lovely bar/ restaurant with a super terrace. All the staff were amazingly friendly / helpful. There was a turn down service each night which was a nice surprise. Housekeeping did an excellent job each day. The hotel is easily the nicest on Canmore. It’s a few minutes stroll to the town. There is a beautiful boardwalk along the river too.

Our stay at the Malcolm was wonderful. The staff was super friendly and hospitable. The housekeeping and turndown service was exceptional. The room was clean, modern, and lovely. The hotel has a quiet location, but was near enough to restaurants and shops...walkable. The view is fantastic. The only issue that we had was at the restaurant with an inattentive/lackluster waiter, who charged us for an extra meal and then wasn't at all apologetic when we had to come back to rectify the situation. The hotel desk helped with the situation. Thanks for a great stay though, Malcolm!

Прежде всего хочется отметить великолепное расположение. Хотя, если честно, в Канморе сложно найти плохое место-практически из любой точки города открываются потрясающие виды на горы. Тем не менее расположение отеля оказалось очень удобным как для прогулок, так и для знакомства с окрестностями. Отдельная благодарность всему персоналу отеля за профессионализм, доброжелательность и готовность помочь. Также особенно хочется отметить команду, которая занимается уборкой номеров. Чистота была безупречной на протяжении всего нашего пребывания. Видно, что сотрудники относятся к своей работе очень ответственно и внимательно к деталям. Так же отлично что депозит был полностью возвращен .

Однако есть несколько моментов, которые, на мой взгляд, можно улучшить. При бронировании мы заранее оплатили услугу раннего заселения на 13:00. К сожалению, в момент нашего приезда возникла техническая проблема с системой программирования ключей, поэтому нам не смогли сразу выдать доступ в номер. В результате нам пришлось несколько раз обращаться к сотрудникам, чтобы они открывали дверь. Позже проблема была решена, и персонал старался помочь, но первые часы пребывания оказались не слишком комфортными. Второй момент касается политики раннего заселения и позднего выезда. При бронировании через Booking эта опция недоступна сразу и предлагается отдельно уже после бронирования через систему отеля за дополнительную плату. Честно говоря, для отеля такого уровня это выглядит немного странно. Стоимость проживания и так достаточно высокая, а при наличии свободных номеров раннее заселение на три часа раньше или поздний выезд всего на полтора часа позже (например, в 12:30 вместо 11:00) предлагают оформить за дополнительную оплату около 50$ (за ранее заселение и 50$ поздний выезд) . Безусловно, каждый отель самостоятельно определяет свою ценовую политику. Однако для гостиницы, позиционирующей себя как премиальный объект размещения, было бы приятно видеть более гибкий подход и включение подобных услуг в стоимость проживания, особенно при наличии свободных номеров. Это создало бы ещё более высокий уровень гостеприимства и оставило бы у гостей ещё более приятные впечатления

We’re staying here for the next few days to hopefully put an exclamation point to our Canadian Rockies vacation, or so we thought. It’s a great hotel in an amazing location but that was it. We left to continue our adventures the following day after we checked in. When we got back to the hotel both our keys would not work. I went down to the front desk to get it sorted when I was informed that we’ve been moved to another room. We were then asked to move our belongings to the new room with one of their bellhops to which I complied to do since it’s already been a long day. When we opened the new room, to our surprise, all our belongings were already there. We asked the bellhop if we were able to access our old room to retrieve our passports and check if any of our valuables were left behind. When we got to our previous room, our passports were missing. I went down to the lobby to inform the front desk staff of the situation. The staff was not aware that our things have been moved and the safe has been accessed without our consent — no one called us/ left a message or even a text to make us aware. None of their staff could provide a reason for the transfer, for the removal of our passports from the safe, and the handling of our belongings and valuables. No one could provide an answer why we were never informed prior to any of this, and why they felt it was okay to do so without our expressed consent. As guests, my wife and I feel violated and disrespected. As consumers we know our rights were wrongfully violated. As of this post, I’m still waiting to hear back from management what their explanation is for this incomprehensible incident.

Very cozy and the property is situated with mountains and water all around. Nice location right outside town so it was easy to walk to dinner and shopping. Staff was accommodating and kind and everything was clean and well maintained.

I wish there was room service and breakfast buffet wasn't so expensive. Water refill stations would be great too.

We stayed at the Malcolm Hotel in Canmore as a family of four (two adults and our 5- and 6-year-old daughters), and overall had a very enjoyable experience. Our stay was split across two bookings as we extended a wedding visit, which meant we stayed in two different rooms (215 and 320). One interesting observation was that the pet-friendly room (215) actually felt slightly larger with more usable floor space than the more expensive room we moved into. Not a huge difference, but noticeable when travelling with children and luggage. The restaurant was a real highlight of our stay. We ate breakfast there each morning and were consistently impressed. The quality of the food was excellent and the portions were generous—so much so that we often didn’t feel the need for lunch. Although we only had dinner at the hotel as part of a wedding, the food served then was also very high quality. I can’t say whether it reflected the standard menu or a bespoke wedding offering, but it certainly left a good impression. We also tried a few cocktails from the bar menu, which were well made and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend making use of the restaurant and bar during your stay—even if just for breakfast. The hotel facilities are good, with a pool and two hot tubs. They’re not especially large, but seemed adequate for the number of guests using them. Our girls loved the pool, and as it’s heated, it was great to be able to use it even in less-than-perfect weather. The hot tubs were also popular in the evenings. While the hotel is child-friendly, I wouldn’t say it’s particularly designed with children in mind. Many guests seemed to be adults or couples looking for a relaxing stay, which sometimes made it a bit of a balancing act—keeping our children happy without feeling like we might disturb others. Location-wise, it’s excellent. The hotel sits right by the river and is less than a 5-minute walk to Canmore’s main pedestrian area, making it a great base for exploring the tow
