Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Breakfast is great. Location great for us close to Crewe railway station. The best thing about this hotel if you're lucky she's on is the hilarious witty receptionist/ sometimes Breakfast cook. Is Sharon. Always has us in stitches when we stay there August bank holiday weekend.
Very small window in our room 15. Could have done with more ventilation and light. Not really a complaint though it's cheap to stay at the Waverley.

Great location to the station, friendly staff but sleep not good, Machinery noises in the night and day, like running machines or tumble dryers running, On the first night A woman was shouting and screaming very loud , all night long and banging etc until morning which kept us awake all night🤬 The hotel room was tidy but very tired in desperate need of modernising, bathroom sink was cracked, toilet cracked, pink tiles awful, floor old, shower cubical needs refreshing, tv to small and cables very very untidy, bed hard, bedding too small for bed. Small comment Only tea and coffee on offer no biscuits or proper milk sachets. £70 per night so did not expect too much.

Colazione con poca varietà, solo parzialmente a buffet(solo bevande, cereali, frutta); poi si sceglie un piatto a colazione. Il pane va chiesto, poca o nulla scelta dolce. Nelle camere moquette ovunque, ma in UK è cosa diffusa. Sistemazione discreta, prezzi un po' alti.

The building has seen better days and could do with a spruce up. On check-in, I was advised that on the first night of my stay, there was a party event taking place. The helpful receptionist booked me in a room as far away from the noise as possible, but it was very loud and disruptive to sleep. On asking another member of staff, I was told that this hotel is a ‘party venue’ and it says so in the terms and conditions. It doesn’t, in fact it refers to a ‘quiet setting’ and ‘Quiet street view’. Those details need amending.

The particular room we had is due re-decoration and a carpet re-fresh which did detract from the experience. This comment may reflect on other areas. Others may comment differently and may well disagree.

Zimmer waren zwar klein, aber ausreichend ausgestattet und sauber. Es war sehr ruhig im Hotel. Der Wunsch nach "Spätes Checkin" (etwas nach 23 Uhr) wurde erfüllt.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026Breakfast and staff were brilliant. Room was average, shower barely working and no fan provided during the hottest night if the year. Room was like a sauna. We had to go out to buy an electric fan to cool the room down.
Shower not working properly, room far too hot with no meant to cool it down. Reception did offer us another room next morning, in order to shower, which we didn't accept but we were very grateful for the offer. They were unaware that the shower didn't work properly.
