hm, difficult question. the location appeared to be the right location when searching. But reality settled in when we moved in. It resembles more a backpackers location than a hostel.

The aroma of cannabis, the lingering certain people in the hallways of the hostel, gave a sensation of not being at the right place. We checked out early.

It has a good location. I stayed in the female dorm which was air conditioned and I was able to rest on most nights. I liked that they lend you a clean towel. Maya, the lady that works there, was very nice.

This could be a great hostel but the kitchen needs serious updating. For example, the burners on the stoves don't work; gas was leaking from one of the gas tanks, which is worrisome. There is only one small working refrigerator (Mini bar). There is no pantry to store food. There are cats in the kitchen and they go on the table, so it's uncomfortable while you're eating.

Las fotos no son iguales a las habitaciones, están muy feas por dentro y la fachada está muy descuidada. Por otro lado, uno de los staff me abrió la puerta sin permiso.

I never got to stay here. I had to book another place because they NEVER answered the phone, emails, text messages or the Booking.com inbox. They sent me the check in information at 7pm on check in date. Do not book here, they do not care about their guests.

Uvítání na recepci, výhled ze střechy, dobrá lokalita. Uvnitř pokoje bylo čisto. Společná venkovní kuchyně. Blízko spousta kiosků s výborným jídlem.

Venkovní části budovy. Koupelna, kde se skoro ani neotočíte. Sprcha, že vás zmáčí komplet a ještě vyplavíte koupelnu. Dostali jsme jeden ručník, ale byli jsme na hotelu asi 10h, takže nám to nevadilo.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS -- It looks cute on the outside, but 1. The lock on my door didn't work. I could only bolt it when inside. Meaning when I left for the day I couldn't leave anything inside. 2. They lie about the AC. Most rooms don't have functional AC. And just a fan. 2. The water went out and the owner said it could take up to several days for it to return and they offer no discounts or refunds... so I had no functional sink, toilet or shower... 3. Near a loud and noisy bar across street. And just down the road pr*stit*tion is everywhere. 4. Very dirty. Pillow cases had lots of girls makeup on it. Everything from lipstick stains to mascara ir whatever girl's put on their eyes that stains pillow cases. 5. Even if showers worked no shampoo. 6. Fan didn't work nor ceiling light only one small lamp light. 7. Stray cats everywhere cat barf was found in random places like the tables upstairs (also lots of litter and trash. Tbh just don't risk it. Photos look cute but it's hellish. Owners clearly have no pride of ownership and just want a quick buck. I think this place is used for s*x work tbh. Very unsanitary. They don't even give you a blanket. Just one sheet and 2 towels...

My reservation was messed up I was there prior to the processor's retiring brought somebody from Florida that McDonald's I was there okay take her we were bumped out of our reservation due to a mistake and this person with mental illness took off and was missing for 3 days and it's on the hospital on life support brain dead which is not the hostels how are the reservation we didn't have a place to stay so we were staying being it was Valentine's Day the 14th there was no room to rent under $100 and it wasn't affordable

Me hospedé una noche solo y lamentablemente, mi experiencia no fue positiva. El hotel se siente viejo y poco cuidado; la limpieza deja mucho que desear, especialmente el baño que estaba muy sucio. Además, es prácticamente imposible dormir: justo frente al hotel hay bares y la música y el ruido en la calle son constantes, además de que algunos huéspedes estaban borrachos haciendo mucho ruido dentro del establecimiento. En general, no recomendaría este lugar si buscas comodidad, tranquilidad y limpieza.

La cocina esta llena de gatos no dejan comer en paz, ya estan acostumbrados a que les den comida, mucha bulla en la noche y dejan la cocina en mall estado

The workers were SUPER friendly and it had everything I needed. Don't expect a fancy hotel and you'll love your time. Just go in knowing it's a cheap hostel in a touristy island. I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews. I think mostly it's people who don't budget travel. It's a great location, has a kitchen and a roof and a nice bathroom. I would stay here again for sure. And again it was an AMAZING LOCATION

The beds were a bit wobbly and not all the kitchen appliances worked but none of this really interfered with my time there.

El lugar es muy basico, pero muy bien en comparación con los precios que se encuentran en San Juan, es económico, tiene baño en la habitación, cocina, las camas están pequeñas pero no están mal, el personal fue muy amable, por el precio que pagué no me puedo quejar, la ubicación está muy bien, cerca a la playa, un lago, restaurantes

People in front desk don’t do a good job, they’re weird high the whole time, they and night. I’ve have made a mistake with one of my reservations and they were very rude, they’re not kind, they don’t even smile. the manager saw me and he said I made a mistake with my reservation that he’s sold out and don’t have no bed for me. I cried in front of them I went to spend the night by the beach, under the rain and with no money and no place to stay without shower. Next day I gotta wait until 10 am they open the front desk while I wait a friend I made in that hostel asked me about my night I told him what happened that I had to spent the night on the beach and I got wet in a island on my own and he told me that he couldn’t believe tha BECAUSE IN HIS ROOM THE ONLY PERSON SLEEPING WAS HIM, NOBODY ELSE. You’re evil, there’s no humanity in it.

Terrible experience: - Room was the deluxe suite – was on side of building (enclosed) and A/c was not working – room was very hot, and staff indifferent and unhelpful - Room was not cleaned - Bathroom was flooded with toilet paper on the floor around the toilet and toilet dirty - Shower had lots of hair in it - Bathroom light flickers a lot - Wall was very mouldy - Room had a bad smell - Bad wifi - Their “deluxe room” is next to the public toilet (which is extremely dirty and smelly) – many people came knocking on my door thinking it was the bathroom, which became very annoying. - There was a massive argument whilst I was there. It appears that there was an allegation and/or suggestion of thief by one of the guests against one hostel’s cleaners. Apart from being very noisy, was also concerning. - Given all my issues – when the manager came that night I spoke to him and told him that this is simply not hospitable. He said that if I wanted to leave I can do so and request a refund via booking.com. I left the hostel and did not stay. Weeks have now passed. I’ve emailed the hostel directly, I’ve called them, booking.com themselves have contacted them. No reply whatsoever. I feel that I’ve been coming ripped-off. - RECOMMMENDATION – Spend an extra few dollars and go somewhere else! This place should on be offering accommodation to people much less on booking.com. I came early, and was told i needed to wait until 3pm so that the room can be cleaned. Check-in guy (an older gentlemen) has not friendly at all. The room was not cleaned. As soon as you walk in, there was trash in the garbage from the previous guest. The toilet was very nasty. The bathroom floor was flooded. There was wet heap of toilet on the floor next to the toilet. The bathroom faucet was broken. The shower had a bunch of hair in it. And the bathroom light does not work properly. The room generally had a terrible stench. There was mould on the wall. Moreover, the A/c was not working. And when I enquired about it or asked for a fan – I was shrugged off by the guy who checked me in. Its important to understand that the room is located in a isolated area of the building – so there is no way for breeze to get in, and the Caribbean is hot. So I was sweating a lot! To make matters worst, as if things weren’t sufficiently bad, as soon as I closed my eyes to get some rest, a brawl of a sort was happening upstairs in one of the other rooms – that I was hearing clearly from my bed. It appears that one of the guest had a/some issue(s) with the cleaner apparently being in her room when she was not there. It appears that the guest had lost their airpods and/or things left in her room. And the allegation appears to be that the (hostel’s) cleaner was suggested a possible culprit. Again – I say this is what I understood the situation to be – and I have to say they are allegations as I was not involved and did not confirm. Nevertheless, this only added to the frustration – cause I really needed some sleep. But it also was very concerning and I would be extra careful with my personal possessions if staying here. I spoke to the manager - he said that i could leave and i would be refunded. So i left and I made my refund request. It's been weeks now. Booking.com says the hostel have to accept the request since it was a 'non-cancellable" booking. Terrible!

The AC wasn't working, so I didn't sleep well because it was very hot and the people who were there were making a lot of noise.

Location was good, with a good community bus connection, straight to the airport and the old town.

No AC, looked like was on but didn’t produce any fresh hair, the cleaning wasn’t the best, special the toilets needed a bit of maintenance/cleaning. Special when it’s a mix dorm room and looking for the female they need a bit more hygiene for them.

Unfortunately, my experience was completely unacceptable. Upon arrival, I discovered the presence of bed bugs in the apartment. For health and safety reasons, I had to leave immediately and did not spend even one night in the property. This is not a minor inconvenience — it is a serious hygiene issue that makes the accommodation completely unfit for stay. I was initially assured that I would receive a refund, but once I left the property, the refund was denied. I find this behavior extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I cannot recommend this place to anyone until this issue is properly resolved.

no lo recomiendo 1- El aire acondicionado está dañado, hace mucho calor 2- ventanas rotas, abiertas, hay mosquitos, de los que contagian, hay cucarachas, sabandijas 3- Apesta el lugar, no limpian 4- El baño no ponen papel de baño 5- el portón y las puertas no las cierran algunas veces por estar dañado, y pueden entrar extraños a robar o sabe que más 6- cuando recibes la confirmación de la estadía, no envían instrucciones al email, y no sabes que cuarto es, no sabes que cama es, no sabes la conexión de internet 7- hay personas voluntarias que viven allí como trabajadores, siempre están en la cocina, y usan el baño del cuarto que te asignan pero ellos no están en ese cuarto 8- hay personal voluntario que viven allí, mujer, hombres y siempre están en la cocina, fuman de todo, hasta lo prohibido 9- hay personas voluntarios que viven allí, en la cocina, ponen música Alto, hablan de todo, que no puedes dormir, no puedes usar la cocina 10- el cuarto los locker son pequeños, están rotos, y me intentaron abrir, doblaron la tapa, metieron la mano, pensé que me robaron 11- el cuarto hay hongo, moho, filtraciones en las paredes, en el techo, en aires de pared dañados, y duermes oliendo malos olores 12- el piso del cuarto da asco, estar descanso 13- el baño la bañera las paredes, el lavamanos, la cortina, están con mugre, moho, hongo 14-la cocina las nevera mini, tienen muchas dañadas con mugre moho, pestilencia, las usan de almacén 15- las neveras mini que enfrían no cabe casi nada, están sucias, mugrientas, sucias 16- la cocina no tiene gabinetes, es al aire libre, una mesa, mugrientas, sucia, con muchas cosas viejas 17- la cocina, las oyas son viejas, dañadas, la superficie dañadas, como si las sacaron de la basura por estar inservible 18- tienen varios gatos con gatos bebés en la cocina, viven detrás de las neveras, le tiran comida al piso en la cocina 19- la mesa de la cocina para sentarse, está mugrientas, sucia, no la han limpiado en años 20- en la cocina no hay papel,...

There was mold, cockroaches and BED BUGS! Aside from a broken mattress I had to sleep in the first night.. this place should be closed to the public, it's a health hazard. Unfortunately I discovered the bed bugs after the first night there...

Rooftop mornings with coffee and evenings with sunsets made this stay unforgettable. Highly recommend.

Come prima impressione non è il massimo, ma la gente che lavora all’interno fa il suo meglio per tenere le redini di qi questo posto, i numerosi ospiti con un solo bagnoe’ un po’ un azzardo, la cucina è abbastanza funzionale ma potrebbe essere molto migliorata, colpa comunque degli stessi ospiti che non lavano piatti e non cercano di tenere le cose in ordine. I materassi dei letti sono molto buoni e confortevoli, la doccia nel piccolo bagno ha aqcua calda con un buon getto di pressione,i lavoratori hanno buone maniere e cercano di aiutare il piu’ possibile..la terrazza molto bella e con ottima vista e la posizione dell’ostello e’ ottima con mezzi di trasporto e supermercati vicinissimi

Sono rimasto 4 giorni e ne sarei rimasto anche di piu’ se i posti fossero stati liberi,migliorerei la cucina e la pulizia generale perche’la qualita’ prezzo non e’bilanciata.nei 4 giorni trascorsi un paio sono stati di confusione e festa e un paio dipulizia e normalita’.. dipende un po’ dalla tipologia di gente che c’e’al momento.. Aria condizionata molto rumorosa nel dormitorio da 10.
