Beautiful and iconic hotel with a great location. The atmosphere and history of the property are very special, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. The breakfast is definitely a must-try a nice selection and a lovely experience. We really enjoyed our stay overall.

Zwaar overrated. Zodra de poppenkast over is blijft het volgende over: veel herrie in de kamer van de kamers ernaast en erboven. Restaurants die de capaciteit van gasten totaal niet aankunnen waardoor je voortdurend ergens in de stad moet gaan eten. Ontbijt altijd vol. 30 minuten wachten op je koffie en 6 keer herhalen. Klachten worden gewoon weggelachen. Zwembad ook zeer matig. Echt de prijs niet waard. Veel bedelaars rondom hotel. Blijven je lastigvallen. Niemand die helpt

The rooms are not comfobrtable. It feels like it’s haunted. The place feels like it is full of jinn, and we experienced several disturbing incidents. We reported everything to the manager and the reception, but they did not commen

The breakfast was very crowded. We had to wait in a long queue just to get into the buffet area. Most of the food was Indian, with very few other options. Not everyone is used to Indian food, especially for breakfast. Also, the smell of cooking from the buffet clung to our clothes when we left the dining hall. We felt like we had just come out of a kitchen.

This is not just a hotel — it’s an icon, and we had been looking forward to our stay for a long time. The welcome was genuinely lovely, the rooms were beautiful, and the pool was absolutely fantastic. Everything felt elegant, special, and full of history. Everything was fantastic. The atmosphere, the service, the comfort — it all reflects why this place is considered an icon. We enjoyed our stay very much.

First, they forgot the picture, which was something we were really excited about. Second, the breakfast routine was a bit challenging, with long waiting times that made the morning feel less relaxed.

The hotel serves breakfast in a dinghy ballroom once the main breakfast hall on the ground floor becomes full which is not picturesque at all and really dilutes the experience of staying at the hotel touted to be the crown jewel of luxury hotels in India and Mumbai. We also felt my parents were profiled by the staff of the hotel's coffee shop due to their traditional attire which was quite disappointing considering the backstory of this hotel, the hostess kept mentioning repeatedly that the coffee shop wasn't free or included as a part of their package even though they had no such expectation and were happy to pay. It was finally straightened out by the coffee shop's manager but they went through the same experience the next morning which made them feel that it's a standard practice at the hotel. (My father was wearing a kurta pyjama and my mother was wearing a saree.)

Our stay in this beautiful historical property was absolutely amazing. It truly felt like living in a palace, with stunning architecture, elegant surroundings, and a unique atmosphere that made our visit unforgettable. What made our experience even more special was the incredible kindness and professionalism of the staff, especially Mr Manthan. I cannot thank them enough for what they did for me. When I lost my bag containing my passport and all my personal belongings, they went above and beyond to help me recover it. What could have turned into a nightmare during my stay in Mumbai became a miracle thanks to their dedication and support. The level of care and genuine concern they showed was extraordinary. I will always be grateful for their help and generosity. I highly recommend this hotel, not only for its beauty, history, and exceptional hospitality, but also because the people who work here truly care about their guests. Thank you for making my stay so memorable.

Esperienza da fare almeno una volta nella vita. Accoglienza fantastica, servizio superlativo e posizione ottima per organizzare uscite al mattino come di sera. Le camere sono sempre perfettamente in ordine e rimesse apposto anche più volte al giorno e grande gentilezza da parte del personale. Le camere con vista sul Gate of India sono qualcosa di emozionante!

Assolutamente nulla… se proprio devo trovare un difetto forse la colazione andrebbe ampliata e variata nella parte dei dolci.
