Comfortable village pub in a peaceful location not too far from Norwich. Rooms small and a bit cluttered but very clean and cosy. Food good.

Breakfast a bit too fussy: no self service with every item having to be ordered and served separately.

An ideal location in a lovely village, the food was plenty full and beautifully prepared. The room was quiet and comfortable with plenty of space and a good bathroom. Very pleasant and cheerful staff, which made the stay very relaxing.

The room was quite warm which would have made it difficult to sleep during the hot summer nights, I slept OK 👍

I asked for 1 hour earlier check-in and the Black Swan inn replied "the accommodation has confirmed they will be able to arrange this for you. There will be no extra charge for this request". When I arrived, however, they charged additional £15 for the early check-in.

I’ve stayed here a few times and I love that it never changes. It’s consistently very good.

The evening menu was slightly limited but it was no big issue.

I stayed at the pub for an evening meal, and that was fine. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. The location was good for travelling into Norwich (well, in may case the Norfolk Showground). My visit coincided with yet another heatwave, and it was really good that they had provided a fan in the room, and that the window opened pretty wide. The staff were all very friendly. I would certainly come here again if needing an overnight stay in the area.

There was something wrong with the bed - it was comfortable enough, but I felt that it was going to collapse at any moment! I let the staff know the next morning, so hopefully that has now been fixed.

Such a lovely place to stay, very clean, rooms were perfect , fan in the room if needed and the food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitly recommend The Black Swan for a place to stay, hope to be back and stay again. Free parking which is also a bonus. 10/10

I noticed some flies in the dining room and some bread crumbs on the chairs. Apart from that I would definitely stay there again.

Beautifully refurbished recently. Lovely and clean with really good attention to detail. Food was great and drinks too. The staff were very hospitable.

Personally, I found the bed a little too soft and uncomfortable. But hey, everyone is different! Putting this in though so that those who.like a soft mattress will know that's what you get.

The room was quite small with only a double size bed which let the place down.

Every thing was just perfect. We got there fairly late but the staff was so helpful giving options. Breakfast was delicious and so was the dinner. I asked for something extra on the dessert and even if not in the menu, I was given what I asked. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The whole place was clean and comfortable. A bit of a maze but not in a bad way, it had character.

This is certainly not something that I didn't like but something that at least in our room could have improved. We could have done with two chairs where to put things on or even seat to chat. There was a beautiful armchair near a desk but...

Our stay was for 4 nights and from checking in to departing all the members of staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout. Accommodation was clean, comfortable and quiet. A good selection of options were available for breakfast and the quality of ingredients was excellent. Each evening we ate at the hotel from a nicely varied menu, again the quality of the food and service was excellent.

Hotel was lovely; all staff were very friendly, helpful & professional. We had a delicious evening meal, lovely to see a different menu & fab local produce. Breakfast was great too & freshly cooked. Our room was comfy & spacious with large en-suite bathroom. There was everything we needed, nice little touches & it was spotlessly clean. Unfortunately we were there for a funeral; the hotel is in walking distance to the crematorium so very convenient.

We have just returned from a great 1st stay at the Black Swann. The hotel has loads of character,great facilities and friendly helpful staff. We look forward to staying again

Sunday lunch served in the restaurant until 1745hrs was excellent, strip loin meat of excellent quality and a selection of fresh local vegetables. Breakfasts included in the price were of excellent quality and choice, freshly prepared by a chef. Also ate dinner in the bar one evening, varied and individual menu. The room was spacious, well laid out with chairs to sit in as well. Bathroom with a modern walk in shower. The staff throughout were pleasant and helpful.

Woken on the first night numerous times to a long loud buzzing noise, which lasted a significant amount of time.

Everything. I have left a lengthy Google review. This place really delivers. It has great comfortable spacious rooms. The staff are impeccable. The food is outstanding, it's the best food we have eaten in a while. We were in room 5 which was at the front of the building, we had the window open all night and it was still quiet. The curtains must be blackout as there was no light shining through in the morning. We can't wait to stay here again in August. I highly recommend this pub for both accommodation and food.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty with a good range of options. The room was beautiful and there were toiletries, water, tea and coffee provided. The family room was really nicely decorated and there was lots of space.

The room was lovely. Clean and well presented. It was just quite hot. Not sure if the heating had been on or that the duvets were just too cosy!

It felt like you were stopping with friends, not the normal boring corporate hotel.

Room, hotel area, facilities and grounds well maintained and very clean. Lovely big bathroom. Room contained kettle plenty of tea coffee, biscuits replaced every morning. Situated close to all places of interest within easy driving distance.
