we were a bit skeptical based on the reviews, but this motel turned out to be quite nice and clean. We booked it last minute at a decent price. Personnel was very nice and check-in/out very easy

Exactly what I needed for a good nights sleep after heading back on the road!

It's an old motel and could use some updating. Only a child size bathtub with shower. Carpet is stained. The motel is right along the highway, so noisy at times.

I was calling them while travellers from sault ste marie since last 5/6 hrs. And no one answered the calls and while im filling the extension for receptionists call directly went on voice mail so i was scared that to whom Illinois talke there.

Booked … showed up and the doors were locked . Called the number on the door … Straight to voicemail. Had to stay elsewhere. They refused to refund.

Very old and dirty.

The motel was in a very sketchy area in Dryden I mean all dryden is pretty much sketchy you need to update your listings immediately

The staff is very gentil.

Spacious room and clean. The door doesn’t have any way to lock (or an additional lock) from inside.

Very easy to reserve thru Expedia Compared to other motel rates, very nice to see a reasonable rate not extreme gouging just because it’s the long weekend

The room stank and there were stains on all the fabric, very overpriced.

Just a okay place

Door was coming off hinges, insecure in bad neighborhood. Smelled bad, dirty, old, falling apart, very hard bed. Terrible, overpriced, would not advise staying here ever!

it’s a value stay. room was clean, there was some renovation. Bathtub was terrible :( but shower is new, so really good. Found a trail right behind the hotel, really lovely.

Property was older motel in need of some major renos .it was clean convenient location .dead bolt on door missing, chain latch broken.

You got what you pay for

Room was okay, clean but when we went to bed, people next to us were rowdy, should have called police. You would think with all the banging that they were coming through the walls.

Wouldn’t recommend however there weren’t any other vacancies in the area.

Beds were so squeaky it was hard to sleep. Rooms were clean. Shower hot water was up and down so had to be careful not get burned. Room above us partied all night quite loudly.

Good price, easy access close to amenities, the restaurant being permanently closed was disappointing but there were other options.

Great tv and coffee maker Everything else was old and outdated. Even though check in was till 11:30 we had to wait to find someone to give us a key even with a reservation. The carpet and whole bathroom don’t appear to have ever been updated. The a/c was too noisy to use and proximity to the tracks and pulp mill made opening the windows not an option. The fridge freezer was in bad need of defrosting. Overall quiet.

Broken shower faucet with a stained tub. Drug use in the back alley. Narrow parking.

It was scruffy on main road very old and worn

Outdated. Pillow shams on the pillows that match the comforter did not go to the laundry...only the sheets. Feels dirty.

We didn't like anything except being able to rest for one night. We didn't like the welcome at check-in; we felt like we were bothering the attendant.

The bed was really comfortable. We got a room at the back,it was really quiet. The room was clean. Check in went very smoothly as we had booked and paid the room a few days ahead. Very helpful and friendly service. The price was very reasonble and you get what you pay for but just traveling through and wanting a clean room and a good night sleep this was the place to go to. Dated Taps in bathroom worked not very well. The safety chain was broken. There was a fridge and microwave but no utensils at all. when I went to the office the lady (another one then when we checked in) was upset with another custumer and not a single spoon was availabe. Would have been nice to have even a few plastic utensils. We would mostlikely stay there again as it looked they were updating the rooms.

It was a nice experience

Front door was hard to open, bathroom door would not shut all the way, bathroom ceiling had tiles missing and some hanging down. Had to have someone come to fix the TV, the next morning it wasn't working again.

Tremendously bad. Only stayed there because it was the only place not booked in town. If we weren't exhausted after the drive we would have kept going after seeing the room. At check in they said they didn't have a room for me until I told them to try my first name. I found bugs on the ceiling, the paint is peeling in the bathroom, there is no deadbolt on the door, the security lock chain is missing the eyelet so it doesn't work. The train comes through and you feel it the whole night even the the walls are cinder block. There is no sound proofing so we heard the people above us banging around all night. 1 extra star for eco factor because we saved water because we were afraid to use the shower! The mattress felt like it had been stored folded in half so there was a canyon down the middle with lumpy springs on both sides.

One of the beds was very squeaky. Made it not so good for one guest, hard to sleep with the squeak.

Very dirty, shower/tub were disgusting. No remote control, windows did not open, room smelled musky. No restaurant as advertised. Scary metal steps to walk up to second floor rooms. Grounds were dirty. We slept got up at 5am and got out. No bedbugs

Convenient off the highway. Comfortable bed. No hairdryer.

Place is a bit run down but room was client and staff friendly. Suggest ear plugs if road noise is bothering.

The location is convenient.behind has a suspension bridge.

I appreciated that I was able to control the heat as we've had some cold nights lately even if it's June and I hate being cold. The bed was very comfortable.

Bugs in the room, extremely annoying

Alright motel, great for the $$$. Just a quick stopover on a trip west, plane and simple and what i was after.

Beds are very old, A/C not working properly,mosquitoes and insects in the room. No water bottles, no room service, staffs aren’t welcoming not helpful. Location isn’t good. Rooms are clean and towels , bed sheets are fresh

Very old motel with minimal updating. I would not use the bathtub to even shower it was so gross. I did not feel comfortable as the area was pretty sketchy, and no deadbolt on the door. NO sound proofing. Bedding was clean.

I was driving to Ontario and this location was affordable and convenient. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I got there late but was treated kindly and efficiently. I thought it was a good choice.

Can understand why the price was what was charged. Premises need an overhaul.

We arrived mid evening after a long day of driving and were looking forward to the pillowtop mattress that was advertised on the site and all the signs along the highway. The bed couldn’t have been any harder. It was like lying on a board. The entry door was very hard to close. The bathroom door would not latch. There was hair sticking out of the toilet paper holder. I’m the morning when we went to shower there was a face cloth hanging over the shower bar from a previous person. The tub had stains and the tile above the toilet was twisted and out of shape.

Dingy

The building is in need of TLC... it's old and been well used. I just needed a place to lay my head on an ambitious trek across the country.. and it served that purpose.

The room and everything in it was dirty, the mattress was gross, the drawers were dirty, the chair was visible dirty with dust and grime. The carpet was dirty. The door had obviously been kicked in multiple times and not repaired well. The security chain was broken. I put a desk in front of the door to secure the room while I slept. I found specs of blood on the outside of thefridge door, in the rubber seal.

Stained beds, pillows, sofa chair had what looked white crust on it. My friends room had blood on the back of the door along with both our doors being recently kicked in.

For the price I paid, it was definitely not worth the $$$. I wish I had checked Google for reviews. The place is your standard off the road motel. But the mattress was a foam mattress so there was no support. Wouldn't stay again.

Maintenance is not their strong suit . Had a bad fall in the parking lot . It was icy and there was not a bit of salt or sand until I called up to the main office to complain . Watched the guy leave and return with a bag of salt . He placed it under the stairs . Apparently it spreads itself . No one from Management came to check on my condition . Hobbled around for the last 2 weeks bruised . The condition of the bathtub taps was horrible . It sprayed sideways . Would not engage fully from tub filler to shower . There was huge rust stains on the tub . Some Comet cleanser and elbow grease would addressed that issue. The baseboard heater in the bathroom had so much paint on it ( bordering on fire risk) And rust stains were still coming thru . Paint was chipped by on the door . Carpet in main room was dated and dingy . 😕

Cleaner repeatedly tried to break into my room at 7:30 AM about half a dozen times in the morning without so much as a knock on the door, a phone call or an apology either. Suspicious person(s) left an empty crushed beer can next to the driver side of my car. I DON'T DRINK EVER, PERIOD, SCAMMERS!!!

easy access

Booked a room after a 12hr drive. Honestly, if you can ignore the cracks and tear on the wooden doors or the creeks. It was a very welcomed stay. The bed was comfy, wifi moderm for my room only and there was Netflix. Water pressure and hot water was great. I found the room a tad cold but I found a fleece blanket. I slept like a baby!

It's clean but old. Quite noisy. Above all else though, I booked it because it had a restaurant. It doesn't.

Its ok hotel for one night. On the cheap. Next time though, im going up.

The first room was in total disrepair and dirty. The was room ceiling tiles were heavily water stained. The bed was absolutely terrible.after complaining, we were offered another room that was a bit better. In closing, it backs onto a pulp mill. Smelly. I would not recommend it to anyone. The staff was pleasant and apologetic but it didn't make me feel any better.

Don’t recommend staying in this motel. I’m wondering how it’s even listed on Expedia Very run down. Also used as for a permanent residence motel. Did not feel safe at all. We did try to find another hotel but everything was booked. We would have forfeited our money if we could have moved.

It fulfill what is expected from motel in small town.

Our room smelled like cigarette smoke. Decor is very dated and in need of a deep cleaning. Front desk staff were pleasant to deal with.

Lack of basic supplies (no kettle, no tea, no coffee and no mugs). Lump switch is broken and fan in bathroom very noisy. The beds are old and in bad condition, also the windows and amounted AC haven’t been cleaned for a long time.
