Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Lovely large room, excellent bathroom. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food excellent. Very central. And we found d parking at the back of the large church.
Excellent location overlooking the market square. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable on the specials menu.
Nothing at all to criticize about the Rose & Crown
Lovely staff, very helpful and great food. Room was very clean and had everything needed - very comfortable.
We stayed on a Friday night and due to location of rooms (separate to pub and on market square), noise levels from surrounding bars didn’t stop until around 1am. Then got woken up at 3.30am due to some activity connected to the Saturday market which then got into full swing setting up stalls etc around 7am.
Room was big and clean. Staff were lovely very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious.
Room got very warm after one person showered. Not a reflection on the place as a whole.
All good
The family room is spacious and nicely furnished; the bathroom is also very large and has a window that lets in plenty of light. The room includes a tea, coffee, and hot chocolate set, along with some cookies for a little treat after a day of sightseeing. The location is superb, right in the central square, and everything is within walking distance; it’s very quiet at night. The check-in was nice and easy and the staff was friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great central location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good range of choices for breakfast, and food both for breakfast and in the restaurant was excellent. Comfortable bed.
The room was a little small with nowhere to sit comfortably other than on the bed.
The location is graat! in the centre and walking distance to Warwick Castle and the railway station.
A bit noisey at night.(esecially it's Friday night)
We were right outside the market and all the shops great location the staff were so lovely and very accommodating and any enquiries were dealt with straight away
There is nothing to complain about
Noisy till midnight on a weekend
The staff were friendly, courteous and in the bar and restaurant area. Breakfast was nice. The location was good for us and what we needed to do in the area.
No parking facilities and very difficult to contact the Rose and Crown by phone to ask about parking close to the pub. After 2 days of trying to call them, I eventually got through to be told there would be parking when the market had finished for the day but for a few hours. The girl we spoke with could not advise on weekend parking and in fact there was no parking in the market square over the whole weekend of our stay but luckily we could park for 1/2 and hour to drop off our things and park 8 minutes walk away. The establishment could do with a lick of paint and not that clean looking. A loof flys around tables when eating. No separate shower. Shower was over the bath which was difficult for me to access. The pub and outside area was very noisy, particularly late at night and early morning. Rowdy clientele in the evening in the bar area. We only had breakfast at this establishment as the lunch and dinner menus were limited and very expensive for a pub and for what was on offer Our stay was definitely over priced.

The room was very comfortable with a very special atmosphere. The bathroom was nice, though some corners seemed to have evaded the eyes of the cleaners.
We booked the place because there were very positive reviews related to the food they served, but after arriving, we realized that they do NOT serve food. Having to go somewhere else for breakfast was not our choice, but we were compelled to do that.
Great staff & very clean. Great breakfast.
No full length mirror or mirror at dressing table
The staff here at The Rose and Crown are exceptional. Fantastic service from everyone. Welcoming, professional, attentive. Absolutely brilliant. Breakfast was fab. We also ate dinner here both nights and it was great. The location for Warwick Castle is perfect just a short stroll away. The market square was bustling both days. One day with a lovely market and the second with a classic car event. Despite having a room on the square, it wasn’t a bit noisy. We had some lovely biscuits in the room along with tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
Our room was very warm. The staff did what they could by providing a fan and having it on ready for our arrival but such an old building and being on the top floor it didn’t work. Nobody’s fault. Parking was a slight issue although we used a public car park a few minutes walk away. The room itself was a a bit dated and the climb up the stairs with luggage not ideal.
I opted to stay here the night before my wedding and so booked 3 rooms for myself and my bridesmaids. Nothing was too much trouble and from the moment we got there, everyone was amazing. Jack was extremely accommodating and they did us pastries and fruit whilst we were getting ready and the double had room for all of us to have our hair and make up done in the morning. Amazing experience, thank you so much.
Central
Steep stairs
Directly onto Market Place lots to do and see all within walking distance. Lovely room everything we wanted for short stay- Dog Friendly
Breakfast was good, friendly staff. Free drinks were given to us because they had not made the bed into a twin room.
The double room was tatty and noisy, being over the bar area.
Fantastic location. Spacious room that was clean and comfortable. Attentive staff - Ema especially. A great stay.
The sofa bed wasn’t comfortable.
It was a really spacious family room, even with an additional folding bed and bed for our dog that was provided. It was an amazing central location and staff were very friendly and helpful. A dog bed, bowl and treats were provided for our dog Poppy which saved us the hassle of carrying all her stuff. Several fans were provided which was a relief with the heatwave.
Nothing
Comfortable beds. Location excellent to bars and restaurants and overnight parking.
Need black out blinds and windows difficult to close but very hot so didn't matter.
The location and it was a very friendly pub
Location was perfect right in centre of Warwick. Breakfast was superb as were all the staff who made our stay wonderful. We will definitely return for another stay.
Excellent but some fruit would be good
Bathroom door Needs fixing. Our evening meal was a little we’ll overcooked
Traditional room in an old building. Very clean. Comfy bed and bed linen. The weather was very hot and they had prepared the room with two fans and open windows.
It was all good.
Location, breakfast, city
Booked a room with 2 single beds but actually had a double bed and a sofa bed. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable.
Location
We were unaware that some of the rooms weren't in the pub itself.
Excellent location
Friendly staff gave us an extra fan when we asked as the rooms were unbearably hot ( English heat wave)
As we have found in England in the places we booked who advertised aircon it wasn’t aircon it was a fan which is a huge difference
Excellent service, quality of food. Atmosphere of the place, location. Smart TV.
There were very few sockets in the room. So charging phones was a bit complicated. But that was also insurmountable.
Great location and very friendly staff Breakfast was excellent
Everything
Pub location good for castle and historic buildings. Pub dining and drinking areas very nice and food good. Breakfast menu extensive apart from only granola as a cereal option. Staff friendly and helpful. Bedroom a good size and clean.
No air conditioning in bedroom and bathroom which made sleeping impossible due to severe heat.even though staff provided fans. The net curtains in both rooms old and grubby and in the bedroom the net was tied in a knot which looked awful from outside. The bathroom needs a proper blind to keep the room cool and to leave you feeling less exposed when having a wash. No non slip bath mat provided even when requested, and no hand rail to assist with getting in the bath to have a shower. No socket for lamp to be connected to.
Staff and management friendly and responsive
Maintenance and cleanliness of room not great , no Ac , bath shower old fashioned and could be so much better
Location was great
Well over priced, no air conditioning
Fantastic central location with on street parking outside
Nothing
Room. We were located on the second floor which when the heat wave hit caused us unbearable sleeping conditions. The staff were marvellous and one lad whose name escapes me was especially helpful to us getting us buckets of cold water and an extra fan to trey to keep the room cooler. The facility, which is an old English pub is obviosuly "tired". Despite that it remains serviceable.
TRrampikng up and down flights of stairs became wearing and as statged above the heart weave conditions with no air conditioning made sleeping unbearably hard and uncomfortable.
Brilliant position on the square. Spacious room.
The breakfast choices were amazing
Didn’t know we were going to be in an annex around the corner, could have been a Airbnb! Entrance was dirty room carpet was an awful green the bed and pillows were worn out. Location was good
See above
Great location and staff were excellent and credit to the guest house.
Only minor issues which staff attentively dealt with.
Zimmer, Frühstück und Personal war super. Zentrale Lage, öffentl. Parkplätzte (gegen Gebühr) gleich vorm Haus.
Es gibt keine Klimaanlage. Jedoch wurde ein Dyson Ventilator bereitgestellt. Könnte im Sommer sehr heiß sein.
Room was separate from pub, Dyson fan was a bonus to keep cool. Nice bathroom great shower, comfy bed. Breakfast was great
A little noisy over looking square but I always travel with earplugs
Fantastic and greatly brill. Lovely location and lovely humans
That they didn't recognise me at being a TV or rock star.... I'm not but surely they could have pretended I was
Central location. Large car park nearby, good overnight rates.
Breakfast was perfect
Lovely big room. Very comfortable bed and ideal location.
There was some music playing quite loud after midnight. I tracked it down to the bar (which was closed) however a member of staff was there. I asked if he were still open, he said no, I said why is the music so loud? He said ‘oh can you hear that’ I said yes, it sounds like a nightclub upstairs. He said sorry, we were just clearing up. Our room was right above the bar. Same thing 7.30am (I was hoping for a lie in 😄) voices from down in the bar seemed very loud from our room.
Das Personal !! Freundlich, hilfsbereit, fit!Die Lage, zentral und dennoch ruhig in der Nacht! Die authentische Pup Ausstattung und die entspannte Atmosphäre.
Es gab nichts zu beanstanden!!
What a beautiful Pub and comfortable accommodation! The staff here are so friendly and accommodating. The food exceptional and our coffee in the morning in our room came on a cute set up tray. The bed was comfy and the hotel is located centrally and within walking distance to all the sites of warwick.
Everything perfect!!!
Lovely room right in the centre of town
Nothing
Very friendly staff. Couldnt do enough for you. Food was excellent. Cooked to perfection. Great location in town. Would definitely stay again
Stairs to the room we're a bit steep and twisty
The Rose and Crown was a delight for a City centre pub. The food was excellent for our supper and breakfast served by cheerful and attentive staff. The Room (in the market square location) large and comfortable for a family of four.
Nothing to dislike
Good reception staff and a lovely location.
The bathroom had no shower gel in the bottles supplied, and the shower head was hanging off.
Clean and comfortable with lovely staff
If you have mobility issues and are allocated a market square room (the additional building) it would be a struggle with the narrow steep stairs. Didn’t impact us though
Ideal location Clean and well kept
Nothing
Location is excellent, the bar areas are nice
Breakfast and food in general is expensive
Room was clean, well looked after, great facilities to hand, in the centre of town and a very short walk to the pub itself.
Nothing we didn’t like about the property.
Location, comfortable room
Good was lovely, good location, surprisingly quiet
Beds were a little narrow (twin room), breakfast service was a little slow
Comfy enough rooms with Tea and Coffee facilities. Our room was a short walk from the Pub itself, on the market square. Breakfast was really good, full English, for me, Smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs for my wife. A nice city centre hotel with a good restaurant. Parking is a 2 minute walk away from the hotel, priced at 12.75 for 24hrs
Everything was great
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like it was great - we would stay again
Wonderful staff, great central location. Good deal considering the area.
Minor equipment issues in the room.
The location of the pub, not the annex
The stairs. Nothing to hold on to in the shower or bathtub. The room was next to an area where the garbage pickup for several pubs came between 7 and 7.30 Monday through Saturday.
Our room was in a separate building a few minutes' walk from the pub. It was quiet and comfortable.
Expecting a double bed, we had two mattresses. Bed linen was not properly made up.
El personal
Nada es hermoso
Friendly staff. Clean comfy room.
Great staff and location. Manager was exceptional
Rooms a bit tired and bathroom needs some tlc
Excellent location, friendly staff and great breakfast
location and sunny tables out front
Internal alarm went off for several hours during night. may have been a one off
Great location the room was clean with a nice hot shower and plenty of tea / coffee
Not saying I didn’t like it but tv was on the small size
Pub /restaurants/ size of room
Bed, tow singles out together not matching heights one with a distinct lean away from the other.
Lovely room with all ammenities. Disabled parking outside. In town centre and very accessable. Value for money. Heaters and fans. Bed so comfortable !
It is a lovely pub , the food is great , the staff are so helpful and friendly . Good value for money
The bathroom door didn’t close and there was no blind on the bathroom window, looking out on to Market Square. They did offer to move us but we stayed in our comfie room as we had already been there 2 nights
The location is great, the staff super friendly and helpful. The food was 10 out of 10 as a bonus.
The rooms are a little tired with an odd layout of the furniture. It could be made to be a lot more practical for use.
Lovely warm atmosphere. Very central and easy walk to Warwick castle. Breakfast was lovely as well
Really friendly staff and old English surroundings. Nice range of beers and wines. Food was spot on as it was Steak night. 20 oz steak and bottle of wine was nice.
The room was big and it was clean but the bathroom let it down. Could definitely use a revamp. Car parking was another problem. There is no parking at the Rose & Crown. Limited free parking on the street opposite. We did eventually get parked thanks to a local businessman who let me park in his private car park about five minute drive away.
Friendly person when we checked in. Family room large with comfy beds and a nice bathroom.
Booked a table for dinner. Sat in an area tucked away from bar and atmosphere, presumably as we had a child with us, so put next to a family with much younger children. Took ages for our drinks to be delivered. Servers lack of knowledge about menu, both drinks and food. Had to go over to the bar to reorder drinks, as seemingly our table was forgotten about being it was tucked out the way. Lit candle placed next to our 5 year old. Sharer steak, big enough for 1 person with 2 small cups of chips for £70. Steak under cooked (asked for medium rare, came out blue) with a big bit of fat through it. Sent it back and ate somewhere else.
Good food, nice family room
Parking. Its in the town centre so approx 5min walk to nearby carpark

The Rose & Crown is situated just off the Market Square and its central location suited us very well. Very nice sourdough toast for breakfast!
We felt that just a net curtain at the large bathroom window was inadequate in terms of privacy and would suggest the addition of a roller blind or cafe curtain. Lamps on both sides of the double bed would be useful.
Rooms are clean and tidy and good value for money
There isn’t anything I didn’t like
Location was perfect. Clean and well equipped. Staff were very helpful and well organised.
Key to room was very stiff. Needs fixing as needed to battle with the room door lock to get in each time. Window won’t stay open so needs fixing. Room 10.
Lovely location. Clean. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Breakfast and evening. Meal. Room was clean, tidy, spacious. Nice clean modern bathroom
Not many power points in room . Staircase was steep And basic carpet etc (age of building). Glass in fire door was broken so a safety issue.
Location was good for me
Broken shower screen and toilet seat. Only one spare socket. No usb sockets
The black pudding was good
Bacon
I liked that out rooms were not above the pub, but above a quiet shop just over the road.
Nothing to report.
