Our room was very cosy and we were so happy with our stay. The staff were beyond helpful and we had everything we needed. We were only sad we couldn’t stay more than one night but we will be back again!
Lovely hotel. Perfect location
Lovely room. Good location. Staff were welcoming
It was continental breakfast, which is fine. But the first piece of bread i got out to do some toast had mold on it. Also they had cereal out but no bowls or plates for the toast. I can understand they were busy as they were preparing for a wedding but we were still paying guests
Breakfast but basic but satisfactory and well managee
We were happy with our atayt
We loved the huge window in our room, the free breakfast, and the kind employees.
cleaning staff let us have another hour - got check out time muddled up
absolutely stifling (weather conditions made the room very hot), was not worth 180 GBP
Staff great. Excellent bathroom. Location great. Large bed
Room no 4 was small. Not much room to walk round bed. Checked room 5 much better. Evening meal ...pie great but gammon only bacon chop size. Breakfast poor.... continental? Only cereals, toast and jams, chocolate croissant.
The old coffee tavern is centrally located making it easy to explore Warwick. The room was clean, spacious and the bathroom was exceptional. Great little gem in Warwick
It was all good
The location, friendly welcome, style of accommodation
Didn’t have one of the menu items available -prawns
Great location. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfy and had everything we needed. A nice continental breakfast was provided, which jncluded toast, jams, pastries, yoghurts, cereals, and fresh fruit. (Meats and cheese were available on request.) Would definitely stay again.
Location and one of the staff members was particularly kind and friendly
Made a few requests which weren’t followed up.
Lovely place right in the heart of Warwick. Really friendly staff that made us and our dog welcome, and the pub downstairs was excellent.
Nothing
Situation centrale, accueil, Service au restaurant.
Location, friendly professional staff.
Can’t fault
The location was great and we could easily find on street parking when we needed it. The staff were welcoming and so friendly! We were lucky to be given a bigger room on arrival which we really appreciated.
Nothing we would stay again next time we’re in the area.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Perfect location in central Warwick.
No air con, but the provided fan helped.
Well located, clean and comfortable , the extra fan was welcome in the heat
I could not reduce the shower temperature which would not be that much of an issue but in the heatwave it was too warm . Cooked breakfast availability would have been preferred
Comfortable bed and lovely airy room. Friendly and helpful staff.
The continental breakfast a bit basic on the Monday we were there.
This is a very charming place to stay. Aaron and his staff are very friendly and helpful (especially housekeeping.) I had a large room off the street, it was over a walled garden with a large tree and a view of Saint Mary's Church. The pub downstairs is a nice place for a drink and late lunch after spending time walking around Warwick. It also has very friendly locals!
Clean, ideal location, friendly staff
Furniture in bedroom very dated
Spacious, light room. Central location. Nice pub.
WiFi very poor on second floor. Room needed curtains or better blackout blinds. Terrible breakfast-cheap white toast with butter or jam. Pastries had run out by 8.30. No herbal teabags.
The room was wonderful. A huge bathroom and excellent shower too. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was continental and pleasant. The staff went above and beyond. I have stayed before and i will stay again.
nothing. it was all good.
Great location and a large room.
No air con. For the price the breakfast wasn't great. No cooked breakfast so think the price should be lower.
Wonderful staff! They were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay as fantastic as possible. The room was beautifully clean and we were very comfortable throughout our stay.
Nothing
location was perfect. Very near the attraction which we planned to visit. Room decoration were to good standard. Room and the bathroom was very clean.
There was no air conditioning. Just one fan on the wall. Obviously it wasn't good enough in that kind of heat. Fan was on 24/7 for two days but made no difference as there were three windows and sunlight was coming in the room from every window while the roller blinds were down. Temperature in the room was unbearable. Third day early hours the fan broke and the pieces of the blades was everywhere and one hit son on his back..
Lovely staff - friendly and helpful. Interesting building - nice to stay somewhere with a bit of character. Rooms were nice and bright, clean, spacious and comfortable. Good bathrooms and showers. Nice bar and garden. Nice menu options - just had nibbles/sharing plates but very nice. Great location - perfect for a short stay in Warwick.
Couldn't get the fan to work in one of the rooms, but it wasn't a huge issue as it was not too hot when we stayed. Breakfast was a bit basic, though we did appreciate it was just continental style. Staff were very helpful to make sure everything was ok for us and it was very relaxed.
Emma, who cleaned the rooms and served drinks at breakfast. She was friendly, and made our little boy feel super special.
When we booked, we where advised the kitchen closed at 4pm. So booked a table before this time, yet no one took our order and so we ordered at the bar only for our starters AND main courses to be brought out at the same time.
Stayed here last year and loved the room and cooked breakfast
The room (4) needs an air conditioning unit as it was uncomfortably hot Didn’t do cooked breakfast this year
This was our second visit we like the location the building and the value for money
We couldn’t turn off the towel rail in the bathroom but that didn’t stop us enjoying the room
Location,clean, bed comfortable
Lack of curtains meant daylight woke us early. Poor breakfast. Lackadaisical staff.
The location is great in the old town and it’s within 10 minutes walking distance from the castle. The room was very nice and comfortable.
I am not a fan of decaffeinated coffee so they need to have that in their selection.
Enjoyed live music on Friday eve ,and a nice meal
Stayed 3 separate times now, and not over keen on the continental breakfast, prefer to have more options, apart from that very enjoyable as usual
Spacious, comfortable room. Great location on quiet street near the centre. Nice bar downstairs, with 20% off food for residents.
Breakfast a little basic, but included in the room price.
Location and Pub.
No elevator. We were on the top floor with heavy bags. No one offered to help.
Rooms were nice and beds were comfy
Breakfast should have included cooked options for the price paid. The windows in the room would not stay open, which made it uncomfortable on a very warm day as there was no fresh air. On arrival, we approached a member of staff to check in and were told we needed to go to the bar. The bar was extremely busy, and we then had to wait around 10 minutes before we could speak to a member of staff to collect our keys.
The location, size of the room. Friendly staff at breakfast. A variety of breakfast. Close to bus links
Nothing
A lovely warm welcome from Pheobie,
Right next to venue
Everything was excellent!’ The general manager Phoebe was perfect and readily available every day! Josh took care of us from start to finish and went completely out of his way to ensure our stay was just right!! Emma took care to ensure our rooms were ready for us!! Our compliments to GM for such a welcoming crew!!
Nothing
Full of character, great location and an interesting back story to the building. The staff were friendly and the croissants and pain au chocolates were fresh and delicious.
Nothing.
Lovely room., clean, quiet, beautiful bath and shower
Obly basic tea/coffee in room; no smart tv; no cooked breakfast
Central Warwick
Tiny double room ( did not indicate on booking ) A bit shabby generally I'm afraid Breakfast sparse and despite asking for gluten free no choice ( offer to go and get bread but we declined )
The staff at the Old Coffee Tavern are lovely and they really create a warm and welcoming feeling. They have created a comfortable, clean hotel with good food which benefits from a great central location.
While I would recommend the hotel, even if it was undergoing some updating, as it was during our stay. I was really disappointed with breakfast on our last day. Breakfast on the first day was beautiful warm pastries, yoghurt and fruit. On the second it was a few slices of bread for toast, a tiny amount of cereal and a few unripe bananas.
The staff made the stay, they were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are decent for the price too.
We had a leak from the room above but these things are an act of god so can’t really complain.
Friendly and helpful staff. Spotless clean. Excellent location.
No lift.
Big spacious room
The staff were absolutey outstanding, it is one of the friendliest hotels I have stayed in, they made my birthday so special, Aaron and the team are a credit to this lovely hotel
Nothing at all
really good value, good quality, comfortable clean rooms with a lovely pub/grill attached in an old building that used to be the coffee exchange i believe . great location in town centre too. friendly staff
Location and atmosphere
Spacious rooms, clean and good quality linen and toiletries, big comfortable bed. Lovely old building
The pub downstairs closed at 6pm on the Sunday we were there which was a shame
Great location in heart of town perfect for walking around Warwick. Bathroom is large and has a good sized bath and a powerful shower.Bed is comfortable.
Mould around the corners of the shower screens. I know its an old building but the windows are old single glazed metal frames and the condensation gives the room a damp feel. Tv is placed so that it can't be seen from the bed. Wardrobe had a musty smell so we left the doors open while we put our clothes in there. Beware, the breakfast is only a continental one, nowhere when booking is this mentioned which considering the cost of the room is a bit of a cheek. Also all it consisted of was bread, croissants, jam and cheap yoghurt. No fruit or usual continental breakfast fare, no wonder everyone looked miserable in there at the table.
Immaculately clean and spacious

Had a great stay
Central town location, very clean bedroom/bathroom. Restaurant food quality was excellent
Nothing
Situation
First room had a very strong sewage smell - we did move room
The staff here are lovely and the location is excellent. The room we had was beautiful with a great view of the church.
Clean, comfortable, lovely atmosphere. Amazing staff. Fantastic food. Live music. Dog friendly.
Travelling for work and arrived around 9pm. I had already told the property I would be late but I got a phone call asking where I was. On arrival I realised it’s because they wanted to shut the pub. I was allocated room 4 on the first floor. Despite having two bags to carry I was offered no help (this would have been nice). I tripped on the way up the stairs. The room itself is fine. I have seen other reviews which said it’s tiny. It’s fine for 1. Bedding and towels were clean. I think the poorest part of the experience was breakfast. Advertised as including meat and cheese. None to be seen. The selection was cornflakes, granola, some croissants and toast you make yourself. Not hot food on offer. Poorest breakfast selection I have seen for a while. The lady who served me tea was very nice and asked how my room was. Not a terrible experience but could be so much better.
Ideal Location and comfy bed.
Bar staff seemed too busy to welcome guests, help with wi-fi or generally explain the accommodation.
Nice room and central
Nothing
Central location, friendly staff, bed was comfortable.
For the price (£198 mid week), expected more. Room had some disappointing elements like unpainted plaster, limescale on the shower, broken bath plug, no coffee machine, no fresh milk.
Clean, comfortable, friendly, helpful
Big room Location Spotless The team were welcoming
Very hard bed Sadly due to issues no food on the eve and not the full breakfast offers in the morning
Great location and friendly staff. There was an issue with our first room and they moved us immediately.
Friendly people, good location
Awful drain smell in my room
Modernized and super clean, staff a joy
Slight leak from on suite but minor
Excellent location, brilliant staff
Room very small and tired Breakfast basic No parking Leaking toilet onto the floor
Rooms good size and clean
Very poor breakfast and service
Location and room size
It was very cold and there was no breakfast which I paid extra for
Was cosy and clean, good location. Friendly staff.
The breakfast was basic. Was expecting hot items.
Location was central
They offer only a continental breakfast which actually didn’t look like a continental breakfast very sparse. In 2021 We stayed at this hotel and they did a lovely full English. This hotel has gone down bank didn’t feel as pristine as we remembered, we would definitely not stay again and wouldn’t recommend to family and friends.
The room was very nice and the staff were so friendly and helpful
Location and cleanliness. The room was very spacious and had a fridge which was useful. Very dog friendly the staff were very kind to our dog.
We messaged several times about dinner and no one got back to us. We also messaged about a later check out and again no one got back to us. We were told we could check in early but when we arrived the room wasn’t ready. Staff need to update their knowledge on local amenities eg car parks. Breakfast was very basic.
It was really smart and modern but still had a vintage wholesome charm about it. The rooms were lovely and clean and the pub is so nice!
The bed was so cosy!!
Perfect location
Continental breakfast
Great location, comfy bed, plenty of tea/coffee in the room.
Shabby room, grubby carpet in the room, draughty windows, constantly dripping shower valve, absense of cooked breakfast although advertised as served at the weekend on the website and continental breakfast very lacking.
The central location and authentic pub hotel vibe
Well you cannot park there but as it’s virtually the town square you cannot complain and we were given the details of a very close public car park where you can park for 24 hours which cost us £12
The bar and restaurant were lovely and the room was beautiful and great value for money would definitely stay again
The only two minor things were the TV in the room needs to be updated to a smart TV as no streaming access Freeview only and it was too hot with no clear way to turn it down
The staff were lovely from the moment we walked in to the moment we left! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are lovely! Hotel is right in the centre so we could walk around and see the castle etc! 100% recommend!!
Nothing to mention. Everything was great from start to finish. We loved it! :)
The hospitality was excellent as was the room and food. Phoebe looked after us and she was brilliant
Comfortable room with a nice big bed. The room was quiet, considering that there was a bar downstairs. The location is great, it's right in the heart of town. The staff were friendly, and the complementary continental was nice.
The building is old and in some areas, you can tell. We had a leaking toilet, we told the staff. Who immediately tried to fix it, to no avail. The staff were really apologetic about it. We struggled to find a suitable parking space, and the car park that the hotel recommends is too far of a walk. In the end, we parked on the street, paid until 5 pm, and then parked for free (Saturday night).
The location was great and the room was comfortable although as it was over the pub there were quite strong food smells until late. The room had a great view of the cathedral and the sound of the bells was a nice bonus and didn’t disturb us.
Comfort of the bed and less food smells.
