Small room outdated uncomfortable beds plumbing needs sorting couldn't have shower because of water temperature unworking lift no staff to sort maintenance my son in another room got bedbug bites

The location was good

We got there and the light in the bathroom didn't work and only had a frayed cord on it which was fixed the next day there were big holes in the carpet the tv was the size of a iPad there was a kettle but no iron or hairdryer the floors felt like you was going to fall through them there was an alarm going off all night every night there me and my wife have over 100 bites on us from bed bugs which we found when we looked closer there's a sign up saying under renovation which as been there all year with nothing ever being done the lamp was falling to bits please stay well away from this property

Good location ,got car parking .Disant size rooms Even tdo shower particularly good water pressure I'm nor bordered about that.

Elevator didn't work. Booked 2 rooms ,one of them got BED BUGGS big and small ,all bloody. Cought them only because not used to sleep before 3 at night .Just stich of light in small light on my phone notice some movement,think maybe spaidder, but what was my terrible abolishment that tat not the case. Slept all night with light on .Cought about 7 or 8 bugs got foot tu prove.

My whole visit was marred by bed bugs. This hotel needs to be closed until it has been fumigated. There were bed bugs in room 19, but they are probably in whole hotel.

Bed bugs. At midnight I woke up scratching, turned on light, there they all were. Had to shower, wash clothes, remove everything from vicinity and stay in showerroom for night. V uncomfortable and no sleep.

Young man on reception was very good, helpful and well mannered.

Shower / toilet area smelt. The bed rattled and was very noisy. Party downstairs or next door went on until 0100.

A bit dated, in revamp, but, comfortable, clean staff were brilliant, 200 yards from pier, beach and amenities, but considering that, no agro, no noise

Place is in revamp hopefully will get some money spent on it, parking can be a bit and miss at hotel but paid car park opposite

The hotel is nice and I have stayed before, so know it quite well now. The staff are friendly and the cleaners do a good job, judging by the cleanliness of the rooms and toilet and shower areas. The hotel is just a few minutes from the Pier, beach and the local Wetherspoons pub (Watch out for Nigel Farage's double in there. He is the spitting image of Nigel. Being the MP of Clacton on Sea, the real Nigel has the odd pint in there too!). I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Nothing, apart from the room price could be a bit lower (I paid £80 for one night).

A little old fashioned and out of date

Really close to the pier and seafront. Staff was nice when I checked in.

Room smelt very strong of smoke. Smoking area also directly outside our window so couldn’t open for fresh air to get the small out. The bedding smelt like cigarette smoke too. Only a few parking spots and hard to manoeuvre into due to a small brick wall. Bathroom not clean and sink in bedroom right next to bed. Lift out of service. Creeky floor boards. Bed spring not comfortable at all.

Perfect place to stay for the beach and family meet up. Basic facilities but great as a base. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Room was looking a little tired, but I believe they are in the process of renovating. Over all, I would stay there again.

Everything..When we arrived the man at reception didn't even look at us when checking us in..the lift was broken and we were on top floor..once in the room we were very disappointed..it was small..cramped and the furniture was dated, basic and In poor condition. The plug sockets were held together with tape..the lamps flickered..the en suite was old and poorly maintained..We walked straight out and found a better hotel down the road..couldn't really afford to but we couldn't bear the thought of spending our anniversary in such a run down hotel.

It was very dated, apparently under refurbishment, shower room very small, creaky floorboards, strange almost office style lighting in bedroom. Located next to a vacant building block, parking practically non existent for hotel and car park opposite was ridiculously over priced with tiny parking spaces.

Staff were very helpfull. Although basic ( no breakfast or meals ) this hotel was very good value for money.

Eine gute Lage und ein netter Mitarbeiter.

Ich reise viel und habe schon viel gesehen, aber das war die schmutzigste Unterkunft, die ich gebucht habe. Sehr unangenehm. Obwohl Außentemperatur angenehm, war es im Zimmer sehr heiß und ohne Klimaanlage nur mit geöffnetem Fenster zu regulieren. Draußen aber sehr laut. Zudem ist das Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Man hört die Nachbarn und bei jeder Bewegung knarren die Dielen, sodass man die Nachbarn hört bzw. Diese jede Bewegung mitbekommen.

The whole hotel is a little rundown. Bedrooms are not very welcoming... The ceiling looks like an office. Restaurant facilities closed.

Het was echt een budgethotel. Er is een bed en een douche, maar verder niets. Mijn verwachtingen waren iets hoger maar helaas. Denk dat je beter voor iets meer een andere plek kunt kiezen. Was niet vies ofzo.

De sfeer en onze kamer was bloedheet.

The location is fantastic it is right on top of everything

It was really hot in the room they did provide a fan but it was still overly warm even though it was only 23 degrees outside also the mattress was very thin springy and well worn you could literally feel the base of the bed through the mattress we had to take the quilt cover off and use the quilt as a mattress topper and use the quilt cover to cover us.

Everything was clean and good location 2 min away from the sea.

The sink on room 5 was blocked and is the second time that happened

Breakfast on site..shower head replaced ..And a window let it down. Glass had blown and it was an eyesir with blind open

Comfortable bed and shower was good also the receptionist was joyful and happy to help with any questions.

Very old room, very small, dirty carpet with tiny bathroom, quite noisy with no air conditioning at all, was very hot at night. I had to open the window but when I did it was very loud as a night club opposite the room. I wouldn't recommend staying there as it is too pricey for one night.

I liked the location, it was easy to access and the venue was nearby. The new management staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and bed linen clean.

The lift was out of order so was a struggle to get to our rooms. The staff member helped us with our luggage, but it would have been good to be informed beforehand. The double room was not what I expected, the cracked hand basin was situated in the room which meant once the toilet is used, I had to stroll through the room to wash my hands. The bathroom light was temperamental, pull cord sticking. The TV was not working via the remote although the staff member eventually resolved the issue, it meant having to switch it off and on at the plug socket each time I wanted to watch it. Mirror light didn't work and bedside lamp shade was not stable. This was a double room which was provided with one set of towels. I understand Langtry Hotel is under new management but I have booked rooms in this hotel over the past 2 years and never had an issue or felt disappointed.

I liked near beach,everything good for the price

Only one problem for me(personally )it was to hot because second floor and small room,couldn’t sleep at night,but for the price I’m not complaining 😉

It said it had a lift which is what I needed with oesteo arthritis, but when i arrived the lift wasn’t working, been out of action for some time, so I didn’t stay I came home!!

A good budget hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.. Great location close to the Pier, shops and buses. Room was a good size, with decent size shower and well stocked tea/coffee making facilities.

The lift wasn't working but there are only two storeys so it's not a big problem if you're reasonably mobile, even if you're on the top floor. Plus Ian happily carried my bag for me.

Perfect location and walking distance for everything needed.Off street parking was a bonus.Even though it's currently going through a refurbishment would recommend to anyone and wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

i could see the sea front from my bedroom, i had a toilet in the room, the shower was very good, i had a key to open my bedroom door instead of the habitual unreliable card, lots of drawers to unpacked my belongings and loose hangers in the wardrobe and i could get enough milk portions for my daily tea consumption. good location with plenty of good restaurants in the vicinity .

one of the window (room 22) needs attention, the pane could be changed(too much lime on it) and the blind had issue with the cord, I had to unfold it manually, anyway it was not a matter of life or death, didn't spoil my stay

That is was very cheap price for being right at the sea and opposite pier and amusement park.

There wasn't a lot of room to move in the en-suite.

There wasn't anything that i didn't like, every thing was 100%, my only struggle was that the lift was out of order, and when you have a dodgy hip, it was a bit tough but apart from that, I loved every minute of our stay

Room was tiny, no plug for the sink, shower was broken and the shower room was too small and cramped. Staff were non existent , not enough beverages supplied and room was never smelling nice after cleaners finally attended. The whole building continually smelt of weed you could not have the windows open without smelling it. There was no air con and only one window open but even that was broken. The blinds were broken. The tv was smaller than my iPad The only chair in the room was unsafe. My wife is disabled and we were put on the top floor even though the lift was broken throughout our stay. Anyone booking here must be mad. Very noisy.

The location of the hotel is perfect distance from the seafront, can easily walk everywhere.

Parking, there’s like 4 spaces and you’re lucky if you get one. Mattresses and pillows are horrific, worst night sleep plus the blinds are damaged so at 4am you’ve got light beaming through plus seagulls going at your window. No WiFi, no signal, no one to contact if there’s issues.

The hotel is well placed for finding somewhere to eat, is in a quiet location. The bed was very comfortable and the shower hot

Lack of parking, had to risk a parking ticket by parking on the road as the parking is very limited. Not enough for the whole building. Lack of cleaning in the bathroom, but not a major issue. The shower door needed a clean. Missed faeces streak on side of sink. Blind too short on window and not wide enough

I asked the cleaner to tidy the room while we went out, they left the door unlocked. Luckily nothing was stolen but i was shocked! I asked the receptionist to replenish the milk and coffee in our room, and they said they would bring it up then just forgot. The blanket had cigarette burns on it The shower didnt run hot much, and you really had to fight with the lock to unlock the front door. If you want somewhere cheap for a night it is okay, but for any more than that i would go somewhere else.

Immerhin sauber, auch wenn der Wasserdruck im Bad mies war. Die Toilette hat ca. 1/2 Stunde gebraucht , bis man wieder spülen konnte. Fahrstuhl kaputt und offensichtlich wird seit Jahren eine Sanierung angedeutet…

We had no electric in the shower . Someone came in to fix it when we out , we came back the door had been left open with a ladder in the shower. Light no fixed . Tv did not want work so a member of staff had to let us use his which was kind . Loud music outside .

The price was so good. Staff was friendly and we slept comfortably. Also nice there was a bar so we could go for a drink.

Room was cold, heaters wasn't working. Did ask for a plug in heater but that didn't work either. So glad we brought our heated blanket. Tap in bathroom was scorching hot and the tap and shower was very light. No hair dryer so advise is to bring your own.

Staff were lovely and very helpful

This is a great little hotel right by Clacton Pier which makes it a superb location. The room was tidy and clean. Bed was very comfy. Staff were extremely friendly and polite. Toiletries were provided. Tea and coffee in the room and replenished each day. The room is cleaned daily. I stayed over the Easter holiday so everywhere was busy however, I still managed to park. Weatherspoons is right around the corner if you fancy a cheap breakfast.

Not that it was a problem for me but the lift was out of order. Parking could be an issue but the staff were friendly and told me where I can. Street parking is free from 6pm until 9am the next day with a 2 hour parking time.

Single bed duvet was not big enough or thick enough for the bed and the weather and I was cold during the night.
