Modern and clean in an excellent downtown location. Breakfast is included.
Comfy beds
I shouldn't have to pay $40 for parking on top of a high priced room rate. Pool hours were also inconvenient
The location is perfect
Excellent room and hotel
Perfect location for downtown St Pete activities. The breakfast was decent, and the room was clean and very sizeable.
Bathroom door didn't lock.
Bra läge, rent och fräscht, supertrevlig personal!
Todo muy bien. Sólo como comentario el desayuno tiene poco donde elegir
I booked a room with a free night stay award. When I showed up at the hotel, there was a festival taking place around the hotel, which made access and parking impossible. I ended up going home. Hyatt then charged me for a night stay even though I had used an award night. They refused to honor the free night stay. I will never stay at a Hyatt again.
Attentive staff, great breakfast, and a central location make all the restaurants and sights easy to reach on foot. Can't ask for better.
Great location. Ease of finding and parking.
The one issue was the length of time to get elevators. They are also shared with the cleaning staff, and I know those folks have to work hard, but, inevitably, they need those elevators the same time as departing guests, guests going to breakfast etc. it didn’t help that only two elevators were in service. Maybe set aside one elevator for staff???
Loved the entire experience at this Hyatt. Quiet, clean, great service and perfect location. Staff were all wonderful.
!Hyatt Place Downtown St. Petersburg never disappoints. The staff is fantastic, and the rooms are always clean, comfortable, and equipped with excellent bedding. Plus, the location is unbeatable—perfect for parking the car and exploring the city on foot.
Ottima posizione, colazione varia e abbondante
Troppo costosa la camera e il parcheggio giornaliero che ti fanno pagare a parte.
Great room set up staff was helpful and friendly
Our AC wasn’t working correctly. We didn’t realize this until getting back to our room late. We were offered another room but our kids were already asleep. Then the next morning before check out we discovered we had also had no hot water.
Great location. One street off of a great row of bars and restaurants. Terrible wi-fi. Mediocre pool. Overcrowded breakfast. Awesome staff.
Great room and great view from the 10th floor. Overall, a horrible experience due to the bass and club noise until 3am even on the 10th floor. You could feel and hear the bass and clubs. The room wasn't ready by the 3pm check-in. The staff was not friendly and even forced their way onto an already packed elevator.
The areas around the hotel where we were supposed to be able to relax were dirty. The Monday morning check out staff were rude, dismissive and not even able to help us find a luggage cart. And there were two people there.
Excellent location.
Pool lacks ambience.
Great location for walking to the pier and restaurants. Room was large.
Breakfast area was small and hard to get a seat.
Room was not cleaned daily. I had to call every day for someone to clean and bring fresh towels at the end of each long day. I have stayed at this hotel before with no problems but this was by far my worst stay. Additionally, I have reached out to the manager but have not received a response.
One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. We booked a room at Hyatt Place Downtown St. Petersburg expecting a comfortable stay and instead spent the night in a room with an air conditioning system that would not properly cool the room. We were traveling with our 4-month-old baby, and trying to sleep in a hot room in Florida was absolutely miserable. What made the situation even worse was the hotel’s response afterward. Instead of taking responsibility for the fact that paying guests were unable to sleep comfortably, management chose to dismiss our experience by repeatedly claiming that the room was inspected the following day and appeared to be working. What happened the next day is irrelevant. We paid for a room that night, not the next day. Stephen Witts’ response showed very little empathy, accountability, or concern for guest satisfaction. Rather than acknowledging the inconvenience and discomfort his hotel caused, he focused on defending the property and minimizing our experience. As a customer, it felt insulting to be told, in effect, that what we experienced did not matter because the room later passed inspection. The front desk experience was equally disappointing. Michael offered little assistance beyond basic responses and failed to provide the level of service one would expect from a Hyatt property when a guest reports a serious issue affecting their stay. The most frustrating part is that this entire situation could have been resolved with genuine customer service and accountability. Instead, we were left feeling dismissed, ignored, and blamed for a problem that was clearly beyond our control. We paid for a comfortable room, received a sleepless night, and then had to argue to have our concerns taken seriously. That is not hospitality. That is poor customer service. I would strongly encourage travelers to consider other options in St. Petersburg. If something goes wrong during your stay, do not expect meaningful support, accountability, or a fair resolution
Clean
Old, no have fresh air at the hallway.
Great hotel in an excellent downtown St. Pete location. Clean rooms and great staff. Highly recommend for affordability and room quality.
A localização bem central, perto do centro com vários bares e perto do Pier.
The location was the best part of this hotel! It was in an ideal spot near all of downtown and close to the bus that takes you to the beach! The staff was amazing and so helpful and responsive when needed! Would 100% book again!
The pool was slightly disappointing but we were still able to enjoy a nice day out there it was just a little too shaded for us but maybe just that day!
Just need to add 24/7 coffee service, beside that all was excellent very friendly staff and clean rooms, location is great.

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff. This hotel is all you need for a comfortable restful stay. Good breakfast. Hotel is located directly across the street from Jannus Live which is extremely convenient after seeing a concert there. I highly recommend this hotel and I'm picky.
location across from John boys Staff was very friendly and helpful
everything was fine
Nice clean hotel, great location. Easy walk to Tropicana Field. Plenty of eating and drinking establishments nearby. Publix also very close.
Ae enjoyed our stay very much. The rooftop pool was very nice. The room was clean. The front desk staff was very cordial. Unfortunately my credit card was compromised and using it at this location was pinpointed as being where it occurred. Luckily I caught it quickly before charges became excessive.
Very basic but clean. Staff nice. breakfast was mediocre, but great for a coffee and and a quick bite to start the day
Very nice hotel in a good location. Contemporary, clean feel with beautiful rooftop pool, views and bar, appetizers area. Front desk staff and hotel staff in general were friendly, warm, welcoming. Front desk especially Steve Witts, Curtisha, Heidi and Neysa were very accommodating, personable and professional. Walking distance to many cafes, Shops , museums and waterfront area.
Fabulous location in downtown St. Petersburg. As soon as we arrived we felt welcome and Tish was friendly, helpful, and very professional. The pool was on our floor and it was great to relax and swim. Easy to do morning runs down to the Pier and the waterfront. We loved our three night stay and will return and recommend this hotel to friends and family.
Excellent location for our first visit to St Pete. Highly recommend, top notch staff, cleanliness and room condition.
Not a 5 star hotel per se but excellent location. Hotel is clean, comfortable, free breakfast, pool, quiet between rooms. Excellent location. Walkable to waterfront, Central Ave, Dali Museum, northeast district, many restaurants and coffee shops. Take the free downtown looper trolley to get the lay of the land. Easy 20-25 minute Lyft from TPA.
When I pay +$300 for a room in Florida I expect to be able to asjust the thermostat to a reasonable temperature to sleep. I placed 3 calls to front desk for maintenance and it never got fixed over 3 days. It was between 78-80 degrees in the room the entire stay with stat set on 70.
location
Great location in downtown St Pete, overall the hotel was nice, but housekeeping was terrible. They never gave us clean towels for a 3-night stay. The front desk did not offer any dining recommendations. St. Pete has tons of great restaurants; thank goodness we have Google. How do you have a front desk person not know how to get to specific restaurants or how to recommend several good choices!
It was clean and well located.
The breakfast was sub-par, poorly maintained and there was a mass of people who swarmed it at 9:15. Also, the staff wasn’t especially enthusiastic about there being guests at the breakfast bar.
Location right in the middle of downtown.
My king size room was not ready at check in.
Great location especially for waterfront activities. Plenty of restaurants and activities within walking distance. Rooms were clean and spacious.
Great location!!!
Cute room, great location.
Adjoining room with a stranger. I kept waking up to make sure the room didn't get open. Didn't feel super safe.
Great location, kids friendly, great services, center of all actions, clean and new, would definitely come back for this one.
Always a great stay at this Hyatt. We love the rooms and the breakfast. Love that everything is within walking distance.
Location
Breakfast was cold ish every day. Perhaps as it was put out early and sat until we came down approx 7:30 -8:00. Also one day room was ignored, no towel or bed service
This hotel is perfectly locating to all of the dining, arts, and cultural events DTSP has to offer. The hotel staff are very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean.
The location was good, near pier. However, front desk had no any service mindset and was rude to customers trying to find excuse not to fix the broken stuff in room or change room.
4 night stay was great! Nice convenient location. Sparkling clean room, comfortable bed and linens, friendly staff. Felt safe and slept well.
Great Location! So much to do within walking distance. Staff was so helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location, only 10 minutes walking from the Pier. The room was very spacious and clean, it included two queen beds and a sofa bed and was very comfortable for a family of 4. The breakfast was great, great variety of options to choose from. We'll definitely be back!
Absolutely the best place to stay. I love the location and the parking garage being so close to the elevator. All the food you want is close walking distance.
Everything was superb, the room the service, the food the breakfast, the housekeeping fronts of hse excellent. Then I met the bag lady. Her name is Nadia, offered services, I felt sorry for her, I handed her the $20 and declined, who is she? I've been to the Hyatt 3 times i since I'm gonna say February wandering around who is Nadia.I don't think she's an employee.Security needs to get on there all the night crew...
The place was fine but underwhelming for the price. Very clean, nice bed and comfy pillows. Great location. But… - COLD - It was cold outside and cold in the room. We called and the front desk said the thermostat worked by motion sensor. We had a corner room with water view so nice size but you aren’t walking past the sensor. It never read above 72 but felt like 68. The engineer did come and said he restarted something and it felt a bit warmer maybe 70. Still not comfortable. - SHOWER - Hot water but literally No water pressure. Terrible shower, dribbles of water. And the sink faucet was so close to the basin it was difficult to wash your hands. - PARKING - super convenient but super expensive. $37 plus tax a day! - WIFI - barely worked - BREAKFAST - I’ve had better at a super cheap hotels and the hours seemed a bit crazy. They took all away at 9:30am! Sleep in on vacation? Not if you want the breakfast. It’s one of the pricier hotels in downtown St Pete, but I chose to have some ideal comforts, which didn’t come through. Except great pillows and very clean.
There are lot of positive things to say about our experience at this hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the hotel is in a great location close to everything in the city. It also has a really nice gym, which is always an important factor for me in selecting hotels (although I didn’t end up using this one very much). There were a few negatives: - the food at the breakfast buffet was pretty mediocre - the WiFi was very unreliable - our biggest issues was with check in: I had requested early check-in based on our anticipated arrival time of 2:00, but I know that’s not always possible. In reality, we didn’t end up arriving until nearly 3:00, which is the stated check-in time. When I arrived at the front desk at 2:51, the gentleman working the desk said there were no rooms available. I asked if that was going to change in the next 9 minutes and he said it would not and that it might be a couple of hours before something was available. He gave me some story about how much was going on in town, as if that should excuse it. I have been traveling for decades at hotels around the world and I have NEVER been told that a room wasn’t available at the check-in time defined by the hotel. Finally, about 90 minutes later, I received a text telling me that my room was ready. I think the most disappointing thing about this experience was that the staff didn’t seem even remotely apologetic…it was as if this was a perfectly acceptable way of doing business…which it is not.
I hardly know where to begin with my superb stay at Hyatt Place St. Petersburg Downtown, but it has to start with the hospitality team. So many genuinely kind, friendly people, exceptionally good at what they do, and it clearly comes from the heart. A huge thank-you to the entire front desk team, especially Tyler, Tish, Steven, Heidi, and Alan. Each of them took excellent care of my wife and me throughout our stay. Tyler went truly above and beyond to secure a very special room request for the second part of our visit, far exceeding anything we expected. We had a beautiful, quiet, spacious room with a magnificent view of the St. Pete Pier. The hotel itself is outstanding. It honestly feels more like a Hyatt Regency than a Hyatt Place. The location could not be better, right in the middle of everything that makes downtown St. Petersburg so vibrant. It is the perfect jumping-off point whether you want to explore the waterfront, head up Central Avenue, or catch the SunRunner to St. Pete Beach. The property is modern, light and airy, and meticulously maintained throughout, with a design that is both beautiful and functional. I also want to close with a special recognition for Leslie, who oversees the breakfast operation. I have stayed at many Hyatt Place hotels and enjoyed the breakfast perk, but none have been managed as well as Leslie runs it here. She is one of the kindest, most considerate people you could hope to meet, and she took especially good care of us, including extra help with my wife’s special needs. I cannot thank Leslie enough. She is truly a gem.
So happy to redeem rewards, free day w/Hyatt Visa or points. Came for concert at Mahaffey, easy 15min walk for 7 Bridges, the Eagles tribute band. Checked in easily w/Stephen, knew the GM was Stephen, asked if he was multi-tasking, lol. Got lovely room on 12th floor, clean & nice city view. Always enjoy free breakfast & free parking when you redeem free hotel day. Lotsa soccer & softball players there, those delish cookies went fast. I loved the s'mores & red velvet, Alan at front desk saved 1 for me, he's so sweet. The players were kinda noisy in halls, but no sound from outside, good windows. The Looper & Sun Runner are right across the street from hotel's HyBar, very convenient & fun. Such a nice city, surprised I don't see my review from Jan 2025, loved it then too!
The rooms are clean and comfortable - They have a nice breakfast with good variety of morning favorites. Friendly and helpful staff.
Location was key, breakfast was average. The parking was pricey given the parking garage was owned by the hotel and not full at all.

Great location
Late night noise
Perfect location, clean and tidy. Requested a microwave and it was there before we arrived. The system of texting staff for help was 10/10! Bed was very good, room equipped with everything we needed.
Desayuno muy bien.
La hora del desayuno fue muy temprana, para ir con niños
I was charged for the room after paying in booking.com. Called multiple times was asked to talk to the manager
The location was great..nice restaurants and the Pier were super close.
Breakfast could use better selections.
Staff were very easy to talk with. They did a phenomenal job!
