nuestra estancia fue sumamente placentera, lugar silencioso en un muy buen barrio, silencioso, 3-4 cuadras del centro. la atención del personal, Dulce, Antonio y Sergio fue de verdadera calidez y apoyo. les agradecemos mucho !!!

Personnel peu souriant et aimable - a une exception près - . La porte de l'hotel fermée à double tour qui rend peu fluides les entrées et sorties. Il faut sonner à chaque fois. Petit dejeuner à 8h30-45 donc pas de petit dej si l'on veut sortir un peu tôt de l'hôtel, notamment pour des excursions.

Absolute recommended for your stay in Oaxaca! It’s very close to the centre but just far enough to have very quiet nights. The beds are very comfortable and the 5 rooms decorated with much care. The breakfast is very charming, with always a local option being offered. But above all is the extremely kind and helpful staff. There is always someone there 24/7 to not only open the main door for you (great security) but also to respond to your questions and give recommendations (from what to do, which tour or cooking class to book or where to wash your laundry). You can leave your luggage with them if you’re leaving late and there’s a bathroom to use and get changed. We had a great time in Oaxaca and above all in La Casa Carlota!

My stay at Casa Carlota was absolutely wonderful. The facilities are excellent, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, but what truly makes this place special is its people. Every single member of the team is incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. They made me feel at home from the very first moment. One of my favorite details was breakfast. Every day they prepare something different and typical of the region, which makes the start of the day a special experience and a great way to discover Oaxacan culture. A very special thank you to Dulce and her family. They are, without a doubt, the kindest and most caring people I have ever encountered in a hotel. Their hospitality goes far beyond excellent service—they genuinely make you feel like part of the family. I was very happy during my time in Oaxaca. The city itself is amazing, but the Casa Carlota team made the experience even more memorable. They are truly some of the sweetest, friendliest, and most genuine people I have ever met. P.S. The location is perfect—close to everything you might want to visit. And the terrace is an amazing place to end the day: put on some soft music, enjoy a glass of mezcal, and appreciate the beautiful Oaxacan evenings.

Very kind staff. Need to use translator as most of the staff does not speak English. They gave us excellent recommendations for Oaxaca and tour company. The location is very convenient. The room and beds comfortable. Shower was good and hot. Great breakfast which changed every day. Nice roof top to take adrink up ans relax after day of touring. Worth the money.

Hosts were friendly and helpful. The area is interesting and well developed. The room was clean, comfortable and air conditioned.

The breakfast was disappointing with no choice but the coffee was delicious.

Lovely small hotel in a beautiful quiet part of the city, I really enjoyed my walks to and from the centre and always felt safe. La Casa Carlota is a very nice place to stay in Oaxaca it's small but cosy and the terrace where you have breakfast is very peaceful. I would recommend to anyone who appreciates a more home away from home experience as opposed to a more corporate hotel.

Nothing particular had an issue getting hot water from the shower on my first night but I mentioned to the staff and it was absolutely fine after that.

O quarto é bem grande, confortável, com cama gigante com roupa de cama e banho muito bons. O café da manhã é simples, mas eles fazem um prato (que muda todo dia) maravilhoso. Banheiro grande, espaçoso.

The location is really good. The styling was cool. The staff were helpful but quite intense.

The noise, one night the music went till 1am. We were pre warned of some noise but not the that extent. It was like being in a club. I also found it was not family friendly. The communal area isn't very comfortable. We were on split floors and it wasn't ideal.

Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruits, eggs, granola with all different kinds of nuts and yogurlt . It served on the rooftop when the weather was good and sometimes served at the dining room as well. It is located in a quiet area in downtown. The hotel is close to many good restaurants and the well known tourist areas.

It is a very nice place, however, I felt the price was a bit high.

Kind staff, room was nice, very clean with cleaning service every day, breakfast was good (although it starts a bit late and the sweet options are limited), there is always a member of staff 24/7 for any requests, great position in a quiet street but very close to city center.

Vorsicht: Die Zimmer haben keine Fenster! Man kann Platzangst bekommen. Ich hatte zwei Nächte gebucht, bin nach der ersten Nacht ausgezogen, bekam kein Geld zurück. Begründung: auf den Fotos sind ja auch keine Fenster zu sehen, also alles ok! Weder Casa Carlota noch booking.com sahen einen Fehler! Ich finde, wenn man ein Zimmer ohne Fenster für immerhin 100 Euro anbietet, muss man das dazuschreiben!

こじんまりとした宿でとても落ち着いた雰囲気だった。スタッフもみんなフレンドリーで、とても温かくもてなしてくれた。1つ問題があって、スペイン語でのコミュニケーションが必要な場面で、献身的にサポートしてくれて、解決までもっていってくれた。

朝食の開始時間が遅い。ツアーに参加する場合、ピックアップが8：30より前なので、朝食をスキップせざるを得ない。せめて、Breakfast boxか、簡単なパンとヨーグルトなどだけでも早めに準備してもらえるとありがたい。 中心地から少し遠く、細めの道沿いにあるので、夜遅くなるのは少しはばかられた。

De locatie van het hotel is erg praktisch in een mooi stadsdeel. Het is gemakkelijk wandelen naar andere interessante locaties in de stad.

Voor de prijs waren de kamer en badkamer eerder standaard.

This was our favourite place we have stayed in Mexico so far. The staff were very kind and attentive, they were very cheery and did anything they could to make sure we had an amazing stay. There is a wonderful roof terrace and the breakfast (which is often served here) is also great with a different cooked option each day (e.g. omelette), cereals, juice, yoghurt, different fruits etc. The decor was very cool, the shower was great, we had all amenities we needed (hairdryer, iron, coffee machine etc.)

Nothing really, I think bedding wise we generally prefer a duvet but understand why they go for blankets as it's warm in Oaxaca

Gorgeous boutique hotel on a quiet street near the centre of Oaxaca, with an incredibly welcoming and helpful team running it! My favourite hotel during our 2-week holiday travelling around Mexico. We had the ground floor room, which was well quiet and beautifully decorated throughout. The home-cooked breakfast options and the coffee were delicious.

No dislikes, just the most minor thing about the fact that I felt bad having to ring the doorbell and bother the staff to let us in later in the evenings.

Great location in the historic part of town. Staff were so friendly, rooftop terrace and a great shower. We were very comfortable during our stay. A hot food breakfast option each morning with complimentary continental selection was also appreciated as well as a coffee machine in our room.

The location was fantastic! We value the way the staff went above and beyond to make our experience in Oaxaca positive. We encountered some travel issues and they were so positive and made a really stressful situation feel light and optimistic! We appreciate that at the heart of house Carlota are people who value empathy and kindness!

There is nothing we did not like!

Very authentic small B&B with only 5 rooms which I really liked. It is located some mins walk from center. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Room is very clean, bed is extremely comfy.

The room had no window only a glass door that was blurred so not really light coming thru. Therefore the room is pretty dark. Also as it is located in an open ceiling house you can hear all the noise from street. Fortunately I had earplugs, but this is very unfortunate as everyone in the hotel was super friendly and nice.

The breakfast was very good. The hotel is safe, beautiful, modern and the showers are great.

I found it to be quiet noisy. The open courtyard in the centre seemed to echo the voices and comings and goings of the other guests. I also wished there was a TV in my room for chilling on my own.

Clean, picturesque, in a great location, walkable. The rooms are comfortable. There’s turn-down service. It’s quiet! Not a party hotel.

I can’t think of a single thing I didn’t like.

This bed and breakfast is truly a little gem. Super clean, safe, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at home. The rooms are cozy and nicely decorated, and the location is excellent to visit Oaxaca by foot. The lovely rooftop terrace is a plus. Thank you ☺️

The daily breakfast was outstanding. There was an assortment of cold items, yogurt, granola, cereal, and fruit, as well as a different hot item every morning. We loved the outdoor setting of our meal, either in the interior courtyard or on the rooftop. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Our room was cleaned on a daily basis, and we were given a couple of evening treats that awaited us at the end of the day.

I have no suggestions for improvement. We had an exceptional experience at La Casa Carlota.

El patio de desayuno es hermoso Tuve un percance con el vuelo de regreso y ellos me ayudaron a conseguir un taxi de inmediato fueron muy atentos y pude llegar al aeropuerto sin problemas. Casa tipo Bed&Breakfast, muy bonita, bien decorada. El personal es muy amable, ofrecen un desayuno completo y rico. Bien situado a 10 minutos andando del templo Santo Domingo de Guzmán.

Very roomy, nicely decorated and clean. We were gifted some tequila on the first night. They are SOOO nice and helped in every way they could!

Location was great. Easy walk to both the cultural museum and the Zocalo. Many tours started down the street at the stone plaza. Staff was very friendly and helpful, even with limited English. Wi-Fi was excellent and so was the morning breakfast. They even gave a surprise mezcal treat the first night.

You’re required to buzz for a staff member every time you enter, would have preferred an access code or key fob entry. Also no TV, which I always use to get local information and use as white noise when sleeping.

The service was really attentive, breakfast was delicious with both cold and warm options.

We loved EVERYTHING about La Casa Carlota. First and foremost, La Casa Carlota has an incredible staff. They were so attentive, helpful and friendly. They never missed a beat and gave us plenty of recommendations for activities, places to eat and modes of transportation. The location was wonderful, especially because as a closed-street, there is very little car traffic. We were so close to downtown and the area around the hotel felt safe day and night. The breakfasts were great. There was always plenty water available. There were multiple areas outside of the room to hang-out in, including a living room, outdoor dining area, and lovely rooftop terrace. We were sad to leave.

Super nice place, hidden in the north of Oaxaca, very close to all sights - we did everything by foot. There is always somebody present, and they are always willing to help you! The tour they recommended was also worth it!

The full breakfast is only available as of 8h30, but many of the activities start as of 8h30, it would be great if breakfast could be one hour earlier.

The property was close to the center of town and within walking distance for all the activities we did. It was clean, the staff were helpful and always pleasant. Breakfast in the morning was super great…served at a large table family style. Also, I loved that there was filtered water available instead of buying plastic bottle each day.

Very nice staff and location

When you check in you get a rather large email with their Terms & Conditions and they’re not afraid to use them. We had an unfortunate incident (my wife became quite sick) and unfortunately spoiled a towel, although we wouldn’t have mind paying for it, almost (USD$35) $700 pesos seemed excessive given the towels are let’s say very well used! We loved our room but note that the description mentions a patio, and there wasn’t one.

The staff was great, very helpful, breakfast was good and complete. The neighborhood is very nice and safe. Also there is a deck in the roof (nice view) to relax, you can bring food and listen music.

Downtown is a walking distance.
