Reviewed Jan 20, 2026Leider waren wir nur für eine Nacht, aber diese war super. Tolle Lage mit traumhaften Blick auf Port Alfred. Wir haben zwar die Zimmer kurzfristig tauschen müssen-hatten dadurch aber keinerlei Nachteil, weil gleich schön:) Das Bett war sehr gemütlich für uns, das Badezimmer geräumig. Marianne und ihr Mann sind unglaublich liebenswerte und hilfsbereite Gastgeber! Sie haben uns das tolle Restaurant Guido am Strand empfohlen, was uns gefallen hat! Wir kommen gerne wieder:)
Das Badezimmer dürfte durch die Feuchtigkeit bisschen Schimmel abbekommen haben-für uns was es aber okay.

Reviewed Jan 12, 2026Beautiful view in the garden, looked like a scene out of Greece when we walked down the stairs. Very clean room with everything and more you need for short and longer stays. Loved the pool. Bed was extremely comfortable with high quality linen. The kitchenette was fully equipped with everything we needed. Could see the attention to detail in our unit.
You don't really have privacy inside or outside if the units around you are occupied. The downstairs units are all interlinked with doors. We could hear our neighbours from our bed even when they weren’t being loud, which made us feel like we had to whisper to avoid disturbing others.

Reviewed Jan 8, 2026I booked for my parents to come and enjoy take some break away from the village life. They loved everything about the place. Just that the room I booked was not a self-catering unit and when I was booking I didn’t see that. But other than that the place is beautiful and clean, they also said the staff was very helpful given that they are older people.
They liked everything about the place.

Reviewed Dec 8, 2025The B&B is in a great location, close to the shops, the beach and the Marina, but still very private. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and light. The breakfast was delicious, served outside so one can enjoy the beautiful views over the river mouth and the Marina. Rob and Marianne were wonderful hosts, very attentive and always available without being obtrusive. We will definitely be back!

Reviewed Oct 13, 2025My friends and I recently stayed at this guesthouse and, unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. While the property itself was well-maintained, the overall atmosphere was extremely restrictive and unwelcoming. From the start, we felt we couldn’t relax or enjoy our stay. We received repeated warnings for being “too loud,” even though we were simply talking and laughing as a group. Because of this, we were unable to braai or even make use of the pool — activities that are typically part of a relaxing getaway. We ultimately decided to not stay on the property as much as we would have loved too because we felt completely unwelcome and restricted. It felt impossible to have fun or unwind the way young people on vacation should, which defeated the purpose of the trip. The owners came across as very strict and not particularly friendly or accommodating, which added to the discomfort. While this guesthouse may suit guests looking for a very quiet and rule-bound environment, I would not recommend it for groups of friends or anyone hoping for a more relaxed and welcoming stay.
