The staff at this resort was outstanding & I even sent a personal email to thank & give recognition to the young lady on reception, the grounds where quirky & lovely to explore and take in the views. The food at the (indian) restaurant was amazing 👏 ! Full of flavour & taste , I loved how you can see the kitchen & watch them prepare your meal. Would definitely recommend & will certainly visit the restaurant again!

The building itself is a catch to the eye with original details, etc, but to give an honest review it felt a little grubby , the stairs carpet could do with renewing has it is a focal point has you walk in , and I just felt like it could do with a good deep clean in the room & else where. Personally, I don't feel that the price paid was worth the value based on other hotel experiences & stays. By time we arrived and had dinner we went to the room for the evening we noticed the plug was missing from the bath. (The bath being the highlight) but a nice gentleman assisted us by going to another room to retrieve a plug ! A little inconvenient but the issue was addressed. We had room service bed & breakfast with various items missing & when ringing down the lady who the brought it to the room seemed very disgruntled that she had to accommodate us ! Also on leaving I noticed an extra £5 charge to my card for this service. To be expected I suppose but with offering to settle the full bill on departure I would of thought that this was included. Not to sound like a prode but I was very disappointed that this was the actual honeymoon suite & felt if I was the bride staying here on my wedding night I'd feel a little deflated has the pictures deceiving. The pet cemetery was also a little on the unexpected side shall we say ! In a honest review I was disappointed with the overall all stay in the establishment, the highligh really was the lovely young lady on reception & the food at dinner !

Staff were lovely and a warm atmosphere - we arrived when there was a wedding and all the guests were enjoying the balmy evening and beautiful views. The location is perfect to be near to the beaches and somewhere quiet and rural. It’s a wonderful building set in beautiful gardens and I hope we can go back.

It was very warm in the room and the decor not to my taste in the bathroom but everything was clean and otherwise perfect for what we needed. We had our dogs with us so I’d guess we didn’t get one of the smartest rooms but it the perfect space for the whole family to fit in together with privacy and comfort. They even let us eat at our own table in the smart bar area with our dogs which makes sense for people who don’t want to have to eat in the same space as other people’s dogs.

The staff were very lovely, particularly the lady who served us breakfast (we were late and she was extremely accommodating ). The grounds were beautiful. The exterior of the building is very grand.

Unfortunately the rooms were not clean or comfortable. We asked to change rooms because the first one was dirty, the second one wasn't much better and had damp / mould over the walls. The rooms we were given did not match up with the rooms advertised on booking.com. It was disappointing.

Perfect for our trip to see family. Good location and great value for money. Great breakfast and the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.

Breakfast was nice but they missed certain items off which I asked for but finished breakfast by the time missing items arrived. Spacious room, bed was mediocre

Jacuzzi didn’t work, lights over jacuzzi didn’t work which scared my daughter. Mould and poor decor all over including peeling paint. Bits hanging off walls, water stain marks on ceilings and walls indicating leaks. Tv channel options poor. Staff scared of small non poisonous insects like crickets so had to remove them my self. Went to rose garden - no roses, clearly run down out buildings and junk around the outdoor premises. Mirror lighting and shaving point broken, dirty. Scandalous price for this

Sadly one morning our breakfast was missed due to a long wait and we were going to miss our tour. They got another chef in who wasn’t used to time keeping. A bit strange for a chef!

The location was very beautiful and peaceful. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The room and breakfast were fantastic value for money.

It is a beautiful building situated within lovely grounds, with breathtaking views. Breakfast was excellent, and staff went above and beyond to look after us. Our dog was made to feel at home and had access to all areas of the property.

The assigned room required refurbishment. The damaged woodwork and worn paint created a feeling of disrepair. The beds were not as comfortable as they could be.

Location and ambience

Staff were friendly on check in and at breakfast, check in was easy and explained well to us. The grounds were nice but there are works on the drive at the moment so not the best for the car. Breakfast had a selection of cereals and cooked breakfasts. Overall an okay stay.

The property and rooms definitely seemed tired, the rooms especially could do with some TLC, the mattress was thin and quite springy.

Great place with lots of character. In no way corporate: it’s got some lovely decor and the Venetian room was lovely.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel genuinely welcome. The hotel was spotless, the breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice, and the exceptional service made our stay truly memorable. We can't wait to return!

The property was in a lovely peaceful location and the staff were exceptional and so friendly. Breakfast was lovely.

The family room we were in was on the 2nd floor and was in really bad need of a refresh. In the hot weather the windows barely opened and there was no fans it was almost unbearable.

Bedroom was tired looking. Not brilliant having a shower over an old bath with poor water output. Bed mattress sagged. Wallpaper coming off the walls. No loo roll holder and washbasin a bit small to wash and shave in. Room needed a complete refurbishment. Old windows and sills needed some attention too.

Everything. The location was peaceful, the building stunning, the room was comfortable, the bed was fabulous, the food was delicious and every member of staff we met was kind, friendly, courteous and helpful.

Das Haus braucht man n vielen Teilen eine gründliche Renovierung. Teppiche und teilweise Bäder sind nicht mehr ansehnlich

It was mostly fine but the wifi didn't seem to work- and it would be good to have a leaflet explaining everything in the room. It's quite remote so one needs a car to get there. A few small things could have been better for a hotel in this price range.

When i arrived i was welcomed by a polite gentleman and then went to my room before going out. Place is set in beautiful surroundings

The room was a little small and shall we say cramped. The bathroom window had no blind and as the shower was set higher not sure how many people were able to see me shower which was odd

Für 200 € die Nacht erwartet man sich extrem saubere Zimmer einen Kühlschrank ,eine klimaanlage und ein ausgezeichnetes Frühstück mit reichlich Auswahl. Leider wurden im Haus seit Jahren nichts mehr renoviert und für das Geld sollten sie laufend die Einrichtungen in Schuss halten

Room was big, bed was comfortable, bathroom was lovely ! Breakfast was good but only one choice of egg (scrambled) As with all buffets, the longer food sits on hot plates the quality diminishes, food starts to dry out. Good choice of fruit and cereals.

Our only slight disappointment was that the hotel seems to be in need of a refresh. The curtains in our room were literally thread bare (210 The French Room) the wooden sash windows had some rot and lots of flaking paint. Chipped floor tiles and missing grout in the bathroom. Carpets in room, stairs and hallways require cleaning. Wall paper in areas peeling from walls.

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff were wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared, good variety to choose from, breakfast staff was wonderful. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional, again the staff were friendly and helpful.

The first rooms we were put in were awful, very small, wallpaper coming off the walls and a badly stained chair to sit on. Not what I was expecting compared to the photos on their site. After complaining to the reception staff we were moved into other rooms which were much better and more as one would expect for the price paid.

The staff were all helpful and friendly, I rate them very highly. The setting was lovely. We didn't eat in the restaurant, only breakfast which was fine.

The rooms are tired and in need of an update. 105 was not a nice room at all, quite unpleasant, view of a wall and pigeons on the flat roof outside the window, but we were moved to an alternative, so good staff action.

While I was there, there was a film team shooting a movie. A lot of noise until late, when coming back in the evening full action in the main entrance, etc. I was not informed before, I would have not chosen the hotel if I had known. When checking out I informed that I was very frustrated about the whole situation, but I got no offer or refund.

Beautiful old building. Tastefully restored and adapted into hotel. Rooms large and spacious.

When a large function is being held there is no quieter area for residents only.

Lovely countryside setting, and although a little off the beaten track it was well signposted from the main road.

No problems encountered. Plenty of parking space, and although I arrived quite late on a Saturday evening I was able to get a meal. I found the staff invariably helpful and friendly.

Limited insulation between rooms? Were woken & kept awake 0030-0200hrs by teenagers in room next door.

The manor is in a beautiful countryside setting. The room was large and spacious. The Manor was grand and very welcoming. Some of the original features and charm were still intact. The staff was extremely nice and the food was great too.

There was some cleanliness issues in our opinion. The “modern” decor was very outdated but the old world charm was still there in the lobby and grounds. Not sure i would book this place again but happy i got to see it.

The location , staff and breakfast , room was delightful , had everything in it . Asked for more towels and water. First night perfect quiet and high floor. 2nd night super noisy no fault of property just a shame with the clientelle.

There was an issue with check out however quickly resolved by receptionist and housekeeper. The tv kept losing signal.

Excellent location stunning building

Hotel is tired showr overflowed all over bathroom and bedroom.

The rooms varied but out of 4 rooms the lack of bathroom facilities was frustrating. One tiny bar of soap. No body wash or shampoo. Unusual these days and frustrating when assumed in this day and age not to be available even in a dispenser.
