Hotel Chaco

The hotel is nice and in a good location that is close to most things. The room was clean and nice. Free coffee in the morning was a big plus. There was a restaurant onsite plus many other places to eat within walking distance.

If you get a room with a balcony, the balcony door did not have a lock. That makes you feel a little less secure. Also, the cost was a little high for what you get.

My favorite hotel in Albuquerque. Not only beautiful, but excellent service and cleanliness. Comfortable beds and wonderful bathroom facilities. Love the staff!

This is a lovely hotel, very clean with a great but over-priced restaurant. There were some serious drawbacks for us, as you an read below. Mostly design flaws, which are not the fault of the employees, just the idiots who put them in place.

The design of the king room was completely silly. The see-through semi-frosted panel into the shower, and then THE TOILET area was so stupid. The door to the bathroom was one of those useless sliding doors that provide no sound proofing. You had better be traveling alone or with an exhibitionist to feel comfortable in this room. And because of the floor to ceiling transparent panel, you can't turn on the light at night in the bathroom if you need it. There is an under the sink counter bright mood/night light couldn't be turned off, and shone brightly into the bedroom at night through the panel. We tried EVERY switch we could find, and I eventually had to crawl around on the floor to find the plug. And watch your head: the very thick glass shelf above the coffee maker is hard to see, and when you bend forward to use it, WHAM! I'm still sporting a nice big bruise on my forehead.

There was no breakfast in the hotel. The front desk put us in a wrong room and when we called them they oh we see you have a full balcony so we will move you. we paid for a higher class room ad they put us in a standard. No staff to attend at the pool, staff was not friendly.

The architecture is stunning. The rooms are beautiful, well appointed, and very comfortable. The dinner we had on the rooftop restaurant was wonderful; the views from there were lovely at sunset. Enjoyed the specialty cocktails there as well. The location is excellent and a decent walk to old town and even the Rio Grande and associated park. We very much enjoyed our stay here.

I did not like that we had to walk across the street to get breakfast. Somehow I had missed upon our arrival check-in that room service was the only way to enjoy breakfast at the hotel. The food and coffee we got across the street was excellent, but it was very noisy inside the large industrial warehouse and so we ended up eating our to go breakfast in the hotel lobby. Unfortunately, the only place to sit was outside the large, loud business conference room. It was not ideal for the level of comfort to be expected at such a beautiful hotel.

I was shocked. We all know the standard of hotels in the US. Europeans have to look for a minimum of 8/10 for a hotel to meet minimum expectations. This hotel is brand new, very nice, elegant, and the rooms are huge and modern. I didn't expect that.

Great location near old town and sawmill market with an elegant rooftop bar and restaurant. The pool area was spacious and the gym was well appointed.

My only negatives were the spa was closed on Monday when I was there and they also discontinued their streaming subscription leaving only the standard cable channels.

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. It was offered during the week only through room service. Having water available and valet parking were wonderful amenities. Staff were incomparable! To describe them as attentive, friendly, accommodating, and professional isn’t enough.

We loved everything. Having a simple complementary breakfast would have been a plus.

Great location, attentive staff, restaurant better than average, rooftop deck with wonderful views of Albuquerque and Sandias. Grounds are tranquil and landscaped appropriate to climate. Rooms comfortable and quiet. Art work throughout the hotel is original and of quality.

I stay at this hotel every time I visit Albuquerque . Usually there is nothing to critique. Do wish breakfast was available every day.

We found a number of hairs in the bathroom. The shower has a partially obscured glass wall that opens into the room, which was a bit strange.

Hotel Chaco is a very nice hotel with southwest motif near old town. The roof-top restaurant is very good as well. The folks at the reception were very friendly.

The doormen weren't very friendly or opened the door upon our arrival or during our stay. EXCEPT one evening, one doorman (no badge with name & without earring in his nose) said hello & opened the door for us which was the only time during our stay.

Property needs details attended to. Stains on drapes, mold in shower, stains on furniture couch so soft we couldn’t sit on it.

Stayed 3 nights for balloon festival. Everyone was extremely helpful. Would stay again without hesitation.

Due to construction on the street, the main entrance was literally impossible to find at night. The detour signs made no sense and when I finally found the hotel I parked in a parking lot behind it and came in the back door. The front desk clerks were not very sympathetic and said there was nothing they could do. An email to guests checking in would have helped. For the room rate this hotel charges, I was not all that impressed.

Lovely large hotel rooms with great amenities

Everything was wonderful.

The pool was lovely. The room and bathroom were enormous! The gym is one of the best hotel gyms I have experienced.

The barista was 45 minutes late to her post and she acted as if she hated waiting on the guests. However, the other staff members were very friendly. The coffee in the room was very bad and weak.
