We loved the staff first and foremost. The breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable we enjoyed our stay very much.

The staff, location, room were all exceptional. Very secure, working lift, great AC, comfortable bed, easy walking to restaurants, shops, market historic sites.

The pillows were plentiful but are very firm (like memory foam) and don’t work well for someone who needs a squishy type.

Nice place in the heart of Syracusa

Very friendly staff. They wrote messages about car parking posibilieties and were ready to answer all questions. It is a pity that we had only 12 hours in Syracusa before our early morning flight, but this hotel is really very good place to stay.

The staff first and foremost. Every single one was a delight to deal with. Breakfast top class. We always looked forward to it and got a great welcome. The location was excellent right in the heart of the island. The bed was very comfortable.

The breakfast room was a bit tight and might be better on the terrace.

Uns hat der Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr gut gefallen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Personal an der Rezeption. Alle waren ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und standen uns bei wirklich jedem Anliegen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.

Der einzige kleine Nachteil war die Lautstärke. Durch die sehr zentrale Lage und die vielen Touristen war es teilweise recht laut. Das ist natürlich ein Stück weit der Lage mitten im Zentrum geschuldet. Ansonsten gab es für uns nichts zu beanstanden.

This property was amazing! The location was central for everything. The breakfast was delicious! The room was clean and comfortable . The staff was so friendly and helpful. There were so nice! This was one of our favorite stays and we would definitely recommend this beautiful little gem. We hope to return on our next trip to Sicily !

It was centrally located… the staff was excellent and extremely helpful. Our room was large and we had a patio. The breakfast was excellent..strongly recommend!!

Bed was about to crash and kept loud noices. Also the aircon was noisy even with quiet mode.

Palazzo Gilistro is a hidden gem in Ortigia/Siracusa! The building (formerly a private home) is gorgeous & beautifully appointed! The overall design of the rooms compliments the history of Ortigia & it's centrally located in the Old Town walking distance to everything (seafront, cathedrals, museums, restaurants, shops). Bernadette (Front Desk), Violeta (Breakfast server) & Francesca (Front Desk) went out of their way to make our stay with them special. A delicious & plentiful breakfast is served each morning & the shared terrace is perfect for pre-dinner drinks with a 'peak' of the harbor. Palazzo Gilistro is a winning combination of luxury, convenience & hospitality! We look forward to returning!

Our room was “on the street” so to speak, so could be noisy. Earplugs did the trick!

Palazzo Gilistro is in the heart of Ortigia, making it full of character and brilliant for visiting the landmarks, cafes, restaurants and exploring the streets. We could not have been made to feel more welcome by Bernadette and Francesca, who reached out ahead of our arrival to organise valet parking and restaurant reservations. The room was a great size, comfortable and clean. We all slept well in this hotel. The terrace bar is a lovely spot - we appreciated the welcome drink.

Tout était parfait! L’emplacement au top, un personnel adorable, un petit déjeuner merveilleux, une chambre spacieuse pour une famille nombreuse, ce qui est appréciable car difficile à trouver. Vraiment ce lieu est typique et sublime. Nous avons pu profiter des feux d’artifices depuis le roof top, nous avons des étoiles plein les yeux!!! Merci

Destacó la amabilidad del personal, siempre dispuestas a colaborar . El alojamiento es un lugar agradable en una calle peatonal muy concurrida. El ruido no molesta a ninguna hora y eso que teníamos una habitación al frente con 2 balcones. Las instaciones están impecables, baño nuevo. Desayuno bastante completo. Lo volvería a elegir. Se puede llegar con un vehículo hasta 100 m de la propiedad. Muy cerca de todas las atracciones de Ortigia. Otro detalle, te ofrecen una copa de bienvenida, que se toma en pequeño bar en la terraza. Tiene ascensor, otro aspecto importante.

Francesca is just wonderful. She’s helpful, friendly, kind and super welcoming. I love how centrally located the hotel is. Breakfast was great. I had 5 people in my room and we weren’t crowded. I booked the entire hotel for a retreat I was leading and my clients loved it.

They can’t do anything about this but not being able to get dropped off directly in front was a challenge for some of my clients. We made it work .

Hotel is very central, close to everything. In 10 to 15 minutes by foot, you reach everything. Several restaurants within a few minutes walk. Very good buffet breakfast at hotel. Many options for every taste. The room was very spacious, and the French balcony was a nice bonus. Fun to do people watching from the balcony! The 3rd floor terrasse was very nice, and Taylor was a good drink mixer. The hotel personnel was simply amazing. Thank you Francesca, Viola, Bernadette and Daniele. You made our stay unforgettable.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. Perfect location. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Room very clean and well maintained. We stayed for ome week.

The parking is tough. You have to park in a public lot that is a 7 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is in a great location, just no cars allowed on the street.

The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. From check-in, wine on the terrace to the breakfast in the morning, we were given first rate service. The reception staff, Francesa and Bernadetta, suggested wonderful restaurants and facilitated the arrival transportation from the airport and departure support for our rental car to set us on our way to enjoy the rest of our tour around Sicily. Great way to start our adventure!!

We loved ortigia and this beautiful boutique hotel . The location was central . The staff (at breakfast ) and front desk were fantastic . Welcome drink in rooftop was a nice touch .

Very helpful staff. The location is right on the very busy pedestrian street, but the room was very quiet. We had luxury of getting a good night sleep, and being right next to where all the action is.

Highly recommend this little hotel. We had such a great stay. The hotel is in a very central position in Oritigia. Great breakfasts and a very comfortable room with a balcony looking over one the the main pedestrian streets, but best of all was the team at the hotel who couldn't of been more helpful and welcoming. We hope to return some day.
