Location is superb, amazing breakfast
Swmining pool dirty, guestw leaving trash everywhere no personnel controlling
We had an absolutely fantastic experience hosting our corporate offsite at Holston House. I plan a lot of team offsites, and this was easily one of my favorites! Emily was wonderful in helping us with the initial planning and getting everything started. From there, Cody became my go-to person and worked with me on every detail leading up to our arrival. She was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and made the planning process so easy. Once we were onsite, Tori and David were truly the boots on the ground, making sure everything ran seamlessly. David, who managed the food and banquet experience, was fantastic—and the food was honestly one of the biggest surprises of the week. This was not your typical banquet dining. Everything was delicious, fresh, and felt much more like a great restaurant experience than conference food. The location gave us the best of both worlds. During the day, we were able to focus, get work done, and have really productive sessions at the hotel. Then, once the workday was over, we were just steps from Broadway and some of Nashville's best restaurants and nightlife. It made it incredibly easy for our team to relax, have fun, and genuinely connect outside of our meetings. The hotel itself also has so much character. The rooms have this wonderful historic charm while still feeling comfortable and upscale, and the entire property feels distinctly Nashville. From the planning and onsite service to the food, location, and accommodations, Holston House was such a great experience. I plan a ton of corporate offsites, and this was truly one of my favorites. I would highly recommend Holston House to anyone looking for a Nashville venue where their team can get meaningful work done during the day and have an amazing time together afterward. We would absolutely come back!
Beautiful hotel with amazing staff. Great bar and ambiance in the lobby. Rooftop pool much needed considering it was 100 degrees during our trip. Surprised me with a belated bday gift that made all the little touches stand out throughout the stay. Would stay again and will.
Great location and convenient to the Broadway area. The staff was super friendly and I would stay here again when visiting Nashville.
Beautiful hotel. Staff extremely helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the action on Broadway. As part of the mandatory destination fee, there was a happy hour from 4pm -5pm and we got 2 free tickets to the Cheekwood Estate.
My daughter and I stayed for four nights. The hotel was revamped from an old hotel but the inside was beautiful. The rooms were always clean and fresh, the lobby was awesome and the afternoon reception was fun. The staff was so helpful and kind. It is very close to Broadway and other places of interest. Go to the Red Phone booth just up the street, a really fun speakeasy. The only gripe I have is the $65 for parking every night. Didn't know about it before hand and it was an unpleasant surprise. However, the valet staff was great and made it a little easier to swallow. This hotel is a gem and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
Fantastic location and great hotel with comfortable rooms. Breakfast was really good and loved the Happy Hour! Staff friendly and helpful.
Great location and walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The check in and check out process was seamless. The evening 4:00 drink and music was an unexpected delight. Our room was clean and comfortable. The shower was great! There was some street noise from loud cars but not a big issue and didn’t keep us from a good night’s sleep. We were there for a concert at the Ryman and felt safe walking back despite being close to midnight. It was a great experience and hope to be back to Nashville soon.
My husband and I spent a day at the Holston House Nashville last Friday to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We road tripped from Wisconsin and arrived at 9am. We were so excited to be able to have an early check in, as our original plan was to have the desk hold our bags and hang by the pool. Our room was upgraded and we enjoyed the space thoroughly! We hung by the pool for a while, showered, enjoyed the his and hers robes, hit Broadway for hours and came back and enjoyed our patio before heading back put to dinner. We were surprised in our room with wine, champagne and chocolates. We enjoyed the bubbly in the morning with breakfast and juice from TENN, and I also enjoyed a nespresso in our suite!!! We had a record player in our suite that we enjoyed, even danced after breakfast and books that entertained us. Holston House slowed down the hustle and bustle for a second and we were able to connect and enjoy ourselves and our surroundings to the fullest. The service and hospitality here are top notch.
Great location. Room was cool.
Very expensive and was looking directly at another hotel, room was above kitchen extraction fan so smelled of oil/grease.
Third time at this hotel. Just around the corner from Broadway. The reception and bar area are relatively small , but has a nice vibe. Rooms are a decent size. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. The valets who run a very efficient service.
Nothing to dislike
The one star is for location only. Customer service …. If you can call it that I have never experienced anything like it… arrived in evening struggling with bags… the door was locked and there was 2 people behind reception desks watching us ring buzzer to be let in but they just watched… even though they had no customers with them… after numerous attempts pressing the buzzer a couple staying at hotel let us in with there card. The lady behind counter said she was sorry and had been very busy and was just in a bit of a daze… the lad watched my husband dragging our 4 cases and just watched…. The room was terrible. Broken Safe, draw that feel apart when you opened it. Got moved next day to better room……. It was bigger but that’s about it. Even when we got moved we just received a knock at door and given a key and told go to floor below…. No one came with us to check or help with cases… pool outside on day we went we was advised they was short staffed so pool bar would not be open and if we wanted a drink to go down as they had cans you could buy at reception…we expected more than this on our holiday. When leaving and checking out was Not even asked if we enjoyed our stay. There was 3 young lads (staff) hanging around chatting at front door and not one again thought to help us with all our cases…until I asked. I expected the hotel was going to be old etc I wasn’t expecting glitz and glammer and it is very rare I complain however it was the customer service, there really was not any. So disappointed would never return. Also filled out customer review after we returned several weeks ago and no response.
The location to broadway.
No parking, had to pay for parking. Room was cramped and small. Everything but breathing cost extra. Hotel didn’t really have amenities.
Location was perfect. We were 1 block from Broadway. The room was clean and fully stocked for our stay. TENN served a great brunch too.
Valet was extremely high at $68 per day. There was also an additional $30 per day destination fee added to our room. I did not know of these two extra costs when I booked.
Staff.
Additional fees, cost for parking. Inability to access pool bc of the crowds.
Walking distance was superb for enjoying downtown Nashville! Loved the craft cocktails served in the evening to guests, including the recipe cards. The breakfast was exceptional; the best coffee I have ever had was the salted caramel iced coffee. Spen our afternoons poolside, and those were the vest pina coladas in comparison to the entire strip!
Towel service was early afternoon for housekeeping, so we would grab a towel from the pool for fresh dry towels.
While the building was beautiful and restoration of the building was impeccable. The service was a mixed bag. Check in process was awkward. We were informed of services/amenities that were missed by the time of our arrival and one night stay. We were also told we were upgraded only for her to backpedal after saying it. Asked for a late check out for 1:30, was told it was $50. The hotel charges a destination fee and what it includes is either laughable or insulting. One of the perks was two water bottles in the room. We noticed the Voss for $10 and later noticed the ‘free’ water and it was good ol nestle that costs $4 a case. WiFi/Internet is also included and it was as fast as dial up. We made it to the lobby bar for a night cap. We were there at least ten minutes prior to close and as soon as we walked up we were met with ‘wine and beer only. No cocktails’. Talk about stellar service. All in all, we’ll likely be back if the price is right but being a loyalist to another brand that has a larger footprint and actually gives their customers actual amenities for a bogus destination charge will likely be the path taken.
We were in town for a show at The Ryman and it was the perfect location, as it was a short easy walk to the venue. Rooms are pretty standard, bed was very comfortable. Fitness center was also nice. Best part of our stay was our time in the bar with Micah who took great care of us, offered excellent recommendations for stuff to see and do. Breakfast was very good, fast, attentive service and very generous portions. Would definitely stay here again.
The facility was beautiful. Art deco inspired and free happy hour drinks offered at 4:00 pm every day. The location of the hotel is close enough to Broadway to easily walk without being directly on the strip. The rooms were well kept and comfortable but offered limited storage for clothing. Additionally, the barn style doors to the bathroom added to the aesthetic but did not allow for adequate privacy. The small shallow pool on the roof provided a great way to cool off after a hot day and was a popular and crowded area for many of the guests.
Nice distance to bars on broadway
I thought the pool was in ground floor and bigger. Probably should have paid more attention to the details
Employees in the TENN restaurant were extremely nice and the food was fantastic (this was the included breakfast if you pay for that option!)
Front desk staff was not helpful or nice
Talk about pricy…259 a night… then they add 30.00 a day for room service. Listen to this… they only have valet parking next door. I did not even ask the cost. Big mistake… my car was there a total of 38 hrs… 151.00!!!! Never again will I stay there for a hard bed too. The pool water was cloudy also.
Close to everything . Really appreciated the daily water, iced tea, & or lemonade in reception!! It was hot when we visited.
We paid for the breakfast package but didn’t care for the Tenn restaurant where you ate it. Pancakes were rubbery, toast wasn’t toasted enough-menu more to a brunch offering, not enough “breakfast “ variety of choices
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is very nice and the lobby bar makes some very good espresso martinis. The valet service was great and Wyatt and William were fantastic and very helpful.
Clean, easy to access, great location, amazing desk staff, management and an exceptional valet team.
Only complaint would be size of the room. They’re a bit on the small side, especially if you get a king bed. Outside of that, I have literally nothing negative to say about this hotel.
Small rooms. No storage space . Didn’t feel very clean.. felt old and humid
My wife and I spent the weekend at the Holston House. We arrived just in time for late afternoon complimentary cocktails in the lobby, a nice daily ritual. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with average furnishings and decor. In light of Nashville’s vibrant party scene, I was worried about noise in the corridors from nighttime revelers, but the hotel has a “quiet time” after 9:00 p.m. and remarkably, it was dead quiet both nights. The rooftop bar and pool are a nice amenity, but the pool is somewhat small and shallow (not suitable for lap swims); Friday at 5 pm the pool was relatively empty, but on hot Saturday afternoon, it was too crowded. The fitness room in the basement is on the small side, but there is adequate equipment for a good workout. The hotel is a few blocks from the riverside running trail, which goes for many miles and is a great amenity for runners. The hotel is also just a few blocks from all the action on Broadway. The hotel provided two complimentary tickets to the nearby Frist Museum, which we enjoyed. The hotel bar had live music both Friday and Saturday nights; it was also a relaxed venue to watch the World Cup over drinks. This was our first visit to Nashville, and I was impressed with the astounding number of huge hotels downtown. We generally prefer a boutique hotel, and the Holston House nicely fit the bill.
We were very happy with this choice of hotel. The location was very convenient. The room and bathroom was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was some street noise but not excessive at all didn't bother us. We ate breakfast at Tenn two times and the food was very good. The staff was very friendly as well.
The location is superb, close to everything, yet not so close that you can hear Broadway in your room. The public spaces, as well as the rooms, are well appointed and thoughtfully designed. The lobby offers a complimentary cocktail hour when they spin some great vinyl. A very nice touch! The overall feeling was a boutique hotel with welcoming staff. Everyone, from the valet to the front desk and the management team seemed very happy to be working there. The rooms were a decent size with very nice touches, it seems like a small thing, but the luggage rack was solid metal and leather, not the typical flimsy rack. The shower was beautiful. Loved the hardwood floors in the room, hotel carpet grosses me out. Finally, I did not get to experience the rooftop pool, I just went up for a quick peek before they closed and will absolutely make time for that next time around! They offer full service and multiple seating options. I look forward to staying at this property in the future, and for more than the one night I had this trip!
Location to venue we were there to attend
Temperature of the room was not comfortable and wouldn’t adjust to a comfortable setting
Really classy hotel. Great decor and since it is small in comparison to the huge towering hotels nearby it is very quaint and charming. Rooms are great. None have baths though which was a shame. Very very clean friendly staff. We had an issue with the tv and someone came within a few minutes to arrange it. Has some nice touches like free cocktails between 4 and 5 pm. Only one criticism - housekeeping come very late sometimes even after three so if you want to rest up before heading out in the evening you have to locate a housekeeper and ask them to do your room. Other than that - great hotel. Location is fantastic. Two minutes away from assembly food halls and just a short safe walk to downtown. There are a few stairs to enter the hotel and I dont know if they have an alternate entrance for disabled visitors.
Perfect location. Staff is great, friendly, helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Fun little cocktail hour in the afternoon!
Our stay at the hotel was exceptional. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. There were very helpful and offered recommendations for different activities in the area. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of history.
Great location, really helpful front desk, nice rooftop pool, nice bar and lobby
Valet parking very expensive and the car park is next to the hotel Air conditioning fan blows air directly on your face when you lie in bed You have to pay a daily fee to use the vinyl player and for other things which we never used We had to ask for the room to be cleaned daily - we were not asked if we wanted to have fewer cleans Taxes and ‘resort fee’ added on so the stay ended up being a lot more expensive than the booking.com price
Good location and lovely rooftop pool
Rooms a little small
Holston house was one of the most incredible experience. One could ask for they were over the top with their hospitality.
Ok hotel well located with nice breakfast Beware the destination fee. Undocumented until arrival this is not a vegas resort it is a town hotel. Would not have booked here if i knew this 30 dollar a night per room rip off was in place
Great location! Walkability was an A+. Rooftop pool was a great way to cool down in the afternoon. Staff provided us upgrades due to our anniversary and birthday celebrations.
Nice rooftop bar Good breakfast
When arriving we got charged 25 dollars per room per night described as a destination charge. This was not made clear at any point during the booking and i would not have booked here had i known i would be hit with this
Loved this place. The staff were really outstanding. It is an older hotel (renovated), so the dining and food areas are small, but they make up for it with their service. And the restaurant is very good. Really enjoyed our stay
The hotel is quaint, clean, countable and within walking distance to Broadway, Country Music Hall of Fame and Bridgestone arena
Our stay at Holston House in Nashville was outstanding from beginning to end. One of the things that impressed us most was the genuinely warm welcome we received each time we returned to the hotel. The staff consistently made us feel appreciated and at home. The complimentary cocktail hour each evening was a wonderful touch. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and it was a great way to unwind after exploring the city. During our stay, Nashville was extremely hot, so the rooftop pool and bar became one of our favorite places to relax. The rooftop area offers a great vibe and was the perfect escape from the summer heat. Our room was absolutely immaculate. The attention to cleanliness was evident throughout our stay, and the room itself had so much character. We especially loved the vinyl record player and the eclectic selection of albums provided in the room. It created a unique, authentic atmosphere that perfectly matched the spirit of Nashville and made our stay feel extra special. Holston House combines excellent service, thoughtful amenities, and a fun boutique atmosphere in an ideal downtown location. We would gladly stay here again on our next trip to Nashville.
Amazing breakfasr!
Good
Everything I order was good food
Location was perfect! Great rooftop pool and bar too
Non-residents could access the pool - it’s a shame to miss out on a bed in the sun when it’s one of your fellow guests, but even more so when it’s from someone not staying at the hotel
This is a fabulous hotel to stay at in Nashville. It is in a great location, close to the action but far away enough so that the noise did not bother us. We came here to celebrate a birthday and Ashalee helped check us in. She was so kind and welcoming and made sure that we had everything we needed for a great stay. We will definitely be back!
Cool boutique type hotel in an excellent location. As a Hyatt Discoverist, we were upgraded to a Suite which was a pleasant surprise. Would definitely stay there again. Loved the decor and general atmosphere of the hotel. The record players in the rooms were a fun addition.
We loved the pool! It is not very big and was super crowded, so get there early for sure if you want a place to sit/lay. The hotel itself is in a great spot and is very quiet for downtown.
Stayed with hubby for 2 nights and got an upgrade at check in. The split bathrooms in the room were awesome. Bed slept great and elevators were pretty quick. Loved the decor and enjoyed breakfast at Tenn both days. We returned here after 3 years and it seemed even better. Valet parking was pricey but very easy. Will definitely be back! Spent all our time at Robert’s Western World and Whole Foods is a short walk away!
This was our first time to Nashville and the location was perfect for walking to almost everything. I did request a late checkout, however, which would only be accommodated by paying a fee, even as a Hyatt member, which was disappointing. But, I would recommend this property.
Great location. Nice hotel with nice rooms and bathrooms. Good amenities. Food court is next door but they have a restaurant and bar on site.
Amazing, historical hotel right off the main strip. It was beautiful and quiet for the most part. The pool is wonderful and has amazing views. I love this hotel as it is easy walking distance within the city and you have everything you need, well except a microwave. Other than that, perfect.
Located super close to broadway
Loved this place! Comfy and cozy
Restaurant not great. Hotel staff ok. Very clean,.the cleaning staff.was great. The gym was nice. Valet very helpful.
Great location and atmosphere, close enough to the fun but far enough away that the noise wasn’t too much. You have easy access to broadway and the road to printers alley.
Nice cute hotel. Great location with an easy walk to Broadway. Nice staff as an early bird especially nice to be greeted with a smile by Kaveen at the front desk.
Location was great! The happy hours were such a nice break in the day! Even my mocktails were so delicious! Easy to walk to everything. Love the vintage feel.
The room was a bit dark.
It was close to Broadway, the staff were fabulous, the rooms are lovely but could do with more storage, there were 3 people in our room and there weren’t enough storage draws for our clothes, best hotel we’ve stayed in Nashville
Could do with more storage space in rooms but this isn’t a complaint
The location is very good, 5 minute walk to the main bars and sights on broadway. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are high end quality. It has a vinyl music theme to it and the bar area has different things happening at certain times of the afternoon which was a nice touch. The gym is excellent, all of the machines you require including a smiths machine. It has a rooftop bar & pool which was nice, the space for sun loungers is limited though but understandable. All of the staff were very progressional and helpful. Overall we loved the Holston Hotel and would return to such a magnificent city.
Location
Lobby just a bit dated
Great atmosphere! Amazing location. Roof top pool
No complaints
Location
Nothing
The check in staff were very welcoming and put a bottle of wine and chocolates in our room as we were on honeymoon. They helped with our postcards and got us coffee and milk top ups when we needed. The room and pool was lovely
The pool menu and drinks were a bit limited
Excellent hotel, a little bit different to the usual decor with nicely appointed bedrooms, a perfect location for Broadway. Recommended
This hotel had lovely staff, breakfast was fab and it is so close to Broadway yet you don’t hear the noise of Broadway.
Great location (very close walking distance to the spots on Broadway)! Very nice, attentive staff. Very clean and quiet. Yummy breakfast!
Great place to visit downtown and nearby areas, good food, close to good restaurants and bars. Good Restaurants and interesting places to visit, close to downtown. Parking available and Great Staff ready to help.
Excellent location, beautiful and clean rooms, cute bar and friendly staff.
5/27-30/26: The PERFECT location (10 minute walk) to the honky-tonks on Broadway, Bridgestone (NHL Predators) Arena, The Ryman Auditorium, Assembly Hall, and the Country Music Hall of Fame. A five-star boutique hotel with doormen, comfy couches, separate bar and breakfast rooms, complimentary happy hours, elaborate and delicious breakfasts (thanks Marko), helpful and courteous desk staff (Lasha, Naomi, Steph, and the Toronto sweetheart), and beautifully renovated guest rooms. Take note that there is a $25 “Destination Fee” added to each day’s stay. - Laura & Mark VanValkenburg, Myrtle Beach, SC.
Bar, location
Bedrooom rather small
The property was in the best location for what I wanted and the staff was really nice
Location was great. Close to the action on Broadway, but far enough away that it was not heard at all hours.
N/A
Great location for Broadway and for getting out to other locations of interest by Uber
Nothing
The beds were comfortable and the location was great
The service at the restaurant was not good at all. We had some issues with rudeness from the front desk which was very disappointing. Not enough lighting in rooms. And not enough drawers/spaces to unpack luggage.
Great location
I booked a two bed room and they overbooked and gave away my room, leaving me with a one bed room. Not cool
When I reserved, I paid for the breakfast but expected to be like a buffet not a la carte where the prices we do not understand what was included in the package. Very confused to be honest. Of course, we paid extra :(
Great place! Great location
Nothing
Excellent location just around the corner from Broadway, rooms very clean, serviced every day and good air con, lovely breakfast.
This hotel is dialed - it's unique and has incredible history but is extremly well maintained and there are so many special touches. Record players you can bring to your room, signature drinks served complimentary in the lobby daily, incredible staff, clean, spacious bathrooms, great pool on the top deck. I loved it and will be back!!
Everything! The location is great, so easy to get everywhere. The decor is so fun and classy! The rooms were a great size perfect for a girls trip! We will be back.
Nothing
was nice place to stay, room was nice and close to Broadway. Would stay there again.........................................
We loved mostly everything about this hotel. Staff was very friendly...rooms were clean.
The room size was small and there was not a lot of space for three people to put their stuff. Also, the noise at night was a bit much.
Great location a block off Broadway near the big church. Food in both venues was very good. Chicken nuggets in the bourbon glaze were amazing as was the breakfast cinnamon roll.
I had a wonderful stay. The building itself was beautiful, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. What made the experience even more special was seeing an Instagram influencer in the lobby, handcrafting hats for guests. It was a fantastic touch, blending cultural arts and crafts into the experience. The hat maker, who seemed to be from Barcelona, made it all feel truly unique.
Our stay at the Holston House Nashville was absolutely amazing! The hotel has the perfect mix of modern luxury and Nashville charm. The rooms were beautifully designed, clean, comfortable, and had such a stylish boutique feel. The location was unbeatable — close enough to Broadway and all the excitement, but still peaceful and relaxing at night. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive from check-in to check-out. The rooftop pool and bar were one of our favorite parts of the stay, with amazing views of the city and such a fun atmosphere. If you’re looking for a hotel in Nashville that feels upscale, trendy, and convenient all at once, Holston House is definitely worth it. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nashville!
If you want a great Art Deco hotel experience in Nashville, look no further than Holston House. The property is beautiful, but the hospitality here is what really sets it apart. The men at the entrance were amazing. I never had to touch the front door to enter or leave. I watched as they welcomed every guest, whether they were arriving or leaving the building. The front desk staff members were very nice. It was clear everyone understood what quality customer service meant. On this trip, I was lucky enough to be upgraded to the Penthouse Suite, which featured its own private rooftop patio. Having an exclusive outdoor space to look out over the city skyline elevated the entire stay. The location is great—close enough to the live music and to walk everywhere, but tucked away enough to offer peace and quiet. Combined with the beautiful room design and top-tier customer service, Holston House has earned a second visit from me. Highly recommended.
