chambre un peu confinée car pas de réelle possibilité d'ouvrir les fenêtres et zéro vue + bruit de la hotte industrielle desservant la cuisine qui, heureusement, s'arrête entre 22h30 et 7h00

Edificio storico estremamente curato in tutti i dettagli. Camera molto grande arredata con gusto e dotata di tutti comfort, bagno spazioso e pulito. Colazione abbondante e varia. Già dalla sera prima erano presenti nel frigo bar una bottiglia di latte, una di succo di arancia e una di acqua. Possibilità di utilizzare il parcheggio privato per l’auto.

The room was bright and well decorated. Very quirky layout with narrow hallways but room is a nice proportion. Very nice quality of furniture and fittings. Service was very good. Felt locks on doors were very secure. Excellent to provide an in room safe. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast bought to our room, where we enjoyed at a full size table with lovely chairs, no resting on a side table here, very well thought through. Breakfast was fresh and well thought out. We haf everything we could of needed.

Very well presented double room with all that you need for a short stay. Easy access to the local sights. The continental breakfast delivered to the room was excellent - more than compensated for no cooked breakfast.

It was not possible to open the windows in our room, so no natural air was possible, but the air conditioning unit was excellent both for cooling and heating.

Breakfast tray served each morning. Lovely muesli, fruit and yoghurt. Booked for Sunday dinner - shoulder of lamb was fantastic. Only 2 minute walk into the centre of Canterbury.

Das Zimmer war sehr stylisch und total gemütlich. Altstadt und Zentrum 2 Gehminuten entfernt. Frühstück wurde auf das Zimmer gebracht. Das Essen im Restaurant war wirklich spitze.

We loved the comfy bed and the breakfast in bed was a lovely touch

We were let into our property late. We needed to be in for 3pm and didn’t get in till 3:30/45 we had to be at a venue for 4pm, although we made it but it caused me and my pregnant girlfriend a fair amount of stress.

Das Abendessen. Die Hauptspeise kam 10 Minuten vor den Beilagen. Das war den Preisen inakzeptabel.

Vriendelijk personeel, mooie + nette kamer. Ontbijt wordt op de kamer bezorgd + ziet er erg goed uit. Locatie is uitstekend op loopafstand van Canterbury centrum. Er was iets niet goed gegaan met de kamer, maar dat werd meer dan uitstekend opgelost.

A perfect place to visit Cantorbury at only a few minutes walk to get to the center. Breakfast in rooms ! We were suggested a good parking for our car not very far and not very expensive. We enjoyed our very confortable stay.

Welcoming, knowledgable, nothing was too much trouble. Restaurant excellent food and service. Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Staff incredibly hospitable. Central location for all the sights and tours.

We did not use the restaurant facilities. We did enjoy the room, which was clean and spacious. The stairwell was steep and without a lift. However, the staff was most accommodating in carrying our larger bags. I did enjoy the breakfast.

We arrived to find our attic room was at top of a steep rickety second stair case. We had no advance warning. We are 79, fortunately fit and agile. We tried to phone hotel beforehand but noone answered the phone. Info at booking stage said there were car park places but not that they cost £10 which we were told 2 days before stay. Booking. Com should give fuller inf pre booking.

The location was prefect, the room was was a great size, the bed very comfortable, water pressure was great and breakfast was a very impressive spread which they brought up to the room: toast, croissants, granola, yoghurt , orange juice in the fridge, cheeses and meats - all to a high standard

The only downside was that we were sent an email at 9.30am that there was an option to request a late check out so that we could have the room until 12 noon instead of 10.30am check out. We only saw the email at 10.15. The link in the email didn’t work so I just went downstairs and it was only then that they informed me that the late check out would be subject to a £15 fee which obviously sounded less like a perk and more like a penalty so we declined and had to quickly check out!

Gezellig, airco op de kamer, koelkastje, ontbijt goed verzorgd, goed bed.

Laag plafond waardoor wij veel krom liepen. Wij zijn beide 1.80m. Vooral voor mensen kleiner dan wij een heel fijne plek.

Prachtig hotel, geweldig gegeten. De bedden waren erg goed, ruime kamer en erg schoon.

Straat was in de ochtend vroeg al druk.

Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was exceptional and would urge people to visit this restaurant.

Lovely room, clean and well presented. Good position a few mins walk from the centre of town. Restaurant/ outside area very nice although we didn’t eat at the property.

Bed a little hard for us- breakfast very nice but delivered to room/ continental and we do prefer a cooked breakfast.

Die Zimmer in dem alten Haus haben ein tolles Ambiente. Gute Lage um schnell in die Stadt zu kommen. Bus nach Dover auch direkt vor der Tür. Das Frühstück ist wirklich klasse!

Zimmer waren ziemlich hell durch eine Neon Beleuchtung. Das Gartenlokal war direkt vor unserem Fenster

I thought overall it was a little pricey. Property is on a very busy road and could be a bit noisy at times, earplugs were provided!

Ontbijt op de kamer! Met vers fruit en yogurt, ham, kaas en croissantjes. Eindelijk geen Nescafé koffie. Ruimte om je koffers op hoogte te openen en gebruiken. Prima restaurant en direct bij de binnenstad. Ik kan het iedereen aanraden. Ook de prijs is prima.

Fijn verblijf op een top locatie dicht bij de binnenstad. Parkeren is ook erg goed geregeld. Het ontbijt was prima, maar niet speciaal. Het diner in het restaurant daarintegen was echt geweldig!! Boek hier zeker een tafel als je er overnacht. Personeel is ook echt heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Complimenten hiervoor!

It was a great old property with a cute and comfortable room. It was an easy walk to the cathedral and other sites in the city.

We didn’t have a problem, but someone with mobility issues may have difficulty getting up the old steep stairs to the rooms, especially if toting luggage.

Ear plugs on the bedside table a warning - it’s on a main road and VERY noisy. The Worst was the breakfast however. Sold on your site as a “fabulous” breakfast, it was a meagre continental where they didn’t even bother serving coffee or tea - actually thought it was acceptable to ask us to make it ourselves in our room from the bathroom taps. Shockingly poor. Absolutely zero marks out of ten. Not hotel quality in any way.

Sehr schönes, großes Zimmer. Bequeme Betten, hervorragendem Frühstück auf dem Zimmer. Die Lage ist super. Etwas laut, da das Zimmer an einer viel befahrenen Straße liegt. Aber eine Klimaanlage sorgte für frische Lust bei geschlossenem Fenster. Empfehlenswert!

Really cosy and nice room. They bring breakfast to the room. Staff are very friendly.

We had a bit of an issue with the Aircon, we were there during the heatwave on a Bank Holiday, but the staff and manager were so friendly and tried to help as much as possible. Very kind people.

Room was really quiet and relaxing, had air con which was great in the heatwave. Bed was comfy, the hotel also provided us with a lot of things in the room like tea, coffee, orange juice and ear plugs. Breakfast was fantastic, it was really filling and kept us going the whole day, didn't even need lunch. Staff were lovely and polite too.

Heerlijk bed. Voortreffelijke douche. Airco. Is geen ketenhotel, wel authentieke plek met heel vriendelijk personeel. Wij kregen ontbijt op de kamer, dat was continentaal en correct.

Great location just next to walls, close to attractions, between train stations and easy walking everywhere. Lovely onsite restaurant, great breakfast and lovely staff.

Our room was above the 24/24 entry door - easy access for us but a bit noisy late night and early morning with staff, deliveries etc. Not a big deal and ear plugs provided but some people may find this problematic.

Das Frühstück wurde am morgen auf dem Tablett ins Zimmer gebracht und war minimalistisch. Nur aufgebackenes Brot, Marmelade, 1 Apfel, etwas Müsli. Das geht doch sicher noch besser :)

Die Unterkunft liegt in der Nähe aller wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Canterbury. Ausstattung war top. Frühstückt wurde beispielsweise auf Zimmer gebracht.

Die Unterkunft ist nicht geeignet für Menschen mit Gehproblemen.

Nothing major. Wifi a bit in and out Standalone bath looks great but a little short and narrow for me! The attic room was ok for us but don’t recommend for those with walking difficulties/poor balance. It’s an old building so the stairs are narrow, steep, winding and slope backwards

The room was clean and comfortable, and we liked the wallpaper in the bedroom and bathroom! Location is excellent and although we were worried about traffic noise, being just off a busy roundabout, we weren't disturbed at all. (For those with more sensitive hearing the hotel left some earplugs by the bed :)) The breakfast was excellent. My husband missed the cooked breakfast although he made do with the pain au chocolat, but I loved the granola, yogurt, and honey bread toast. The tea/coffee making facilities were good, especially the Garage filter coffee. The restaurant was really good, too, if a little pricey

We're used to a king bed and this was a double so felt a little cramped. Our stay was for 3 nights and on reflection we felt that the target market was for overnight business travellers. Other than that nothing negative to say.

My room was upgraded to the Dickens room. Lovely, spacious room, lots of character. The breakfast in the morning was superb. Location is very close to the centre. Highly recommend.

The ceilings are quite low in the places, and you can hear the noise of the traffic but we had ear plugs and it was fine!

The king room was amazing. Very clean and all facilities there. The continental breakfast was good.

Found some earplugs by the side of the bed. I thought it was a joke, but it was very noisy . Especially in the mornings when the staff came into work. There wasn't a separate area where you could just order a drink in the evening.

We liked everything. We did not use the restaurant due to feeling under the weather but the menu looked very good. We did however have the breakfast which was homely, healthy and delivered to the room. We stayed in the” Dickons” room , exceptional space and comfortable bed with a fantastic rain shower in the bathroom.

Everything was fab. Loads of character, great bathroom, spotlessly clean, super comfy bed and a delicious breakfast. They even supply earplugs to help you sleep should you need them. Staff were brilliant and it’s a great location for exploring Canterbury

We were disappointed that breakfast was brought to our bedroom to be eaten. Considering that there is a restaurant on site we would have preferred to have eaten in the restaurant. Also we were charged £14.00 per day to use the car park nearest the hotel, considering we did not check in until 7pm I thought to be charged a daily charge for this day was harsh.

Nothing I didn’t like, only comment to make would be the WiFi isn’t good in the attic room, constantly drops out of signal which isn’t normally a problem, but is when trying to work on a laptop.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura e nel complesso l’esperienza è stata positiva, con alcuni aspetti però da migliorare. La posizione è sicuramente un punto di forza: comoda e strategica. La stanza era molto bella, curata, e il letto davvero comodo — abbiamo dormito benissimo.

- La nota più dolente è stata la colazione. Avevamo avvisato in anticipo che avremmo fatto check-out presto, chiedendo la possibilità di fare colazione alle 8:00 (anziché alle 8:30). Non essendo possibile anticiparla, ci è stata proposta una breakfast box consegnata la sera prima. Purtroppo l’esperienza è stata deludente. Nessuno ci ha chiesto quali fossero le nostre preferenze, né abbiamo avuto la possibilità di scegliere. La box era interamente a base di arancia: marmellata di arancia molto amara, ciambella all’arancia (immangiabile), succo d’arancia, muesli con arancia candita. Inoltre mancava completamente una parte salata, quindi non si trattava di una colazione continentale come ci aspettavamo. Ci era stato detto che avremmo potuto scegliere ciò che ci sarebbe stato portato in camera, ma in realtà non abbiamo potuto scegliere nulla. Erano stati anche menzionati cornetti semplici o pain au chocolat, che però non abbiamo mai ricevuto. - Un aspetto che ci ha lasciati perplessi riguarda le finestre: dall’esterno si vedeva completamente l’interno della stanza. Le tende presenti erano piuttosto oscuranti, quindi l’unico modo per avere privacy era chiuderle del tutto, rinunciando alla luce naturale. Forse aggiungere delle tendine più leggere e bianche permetterebbe di avere luce senza compromettere la riservatezza.

The dinner in the evening was lovely and a cosy setting. The place is set in a good area and close to all the local amenities and train station. What would make it perfect would be a cooked breakfast offered, but a nice continental breakfast is provided free.i would definitely stay again.

Character and location

Dinner in the restaurant was superb. Good service and excellent food. The shower in the bedroom was good.

Breakfast was served in the bedroom: OK, but no choice, which was unfortunate. The coffee pot was far too small for two people. The bed was one of the least comfortable it has been been my misfortune to experience; the mattress was hard and unyielding. Bright lights in the garden area adjacent to the bedroom were left on all night, in spite of a promise from a staff member that they would be turned off - the blinds did not block the light adequately. The room was very small, there was no storage space (apart from a wardrobe for hanging clothes), the chairs were uncomfortable, and the light levels (apart from the external garden lighting see above) were too low for reading comfortably. Heating control was haphazard. A huge disappointment.

Das großzügige Zimmer und das große Badezimmer mit Badewanne sind toll! Frühstück wird aufs Zimmer gebracht und es gibt leckeres Brot und Schoko-Croissant.

Wenn man - wie wir - mehrere Tage bleibt, bietet das täglich ganz gleiche Frühstück wenig Abwechselung zumal wir Käse, Wurst und Ei vermisst haben und nicht auf Joghurt, rohen Apfel oder Müsli stehen. Wenn man das Restaurant besucht wird ungefragt ein „freiwilliger“ Aufschlag von 10% für die Bedienung addiert und - dafür kann das Corner House nichts - wenn man mit dem Auto anreist, kommen die Kosten für das nicht günstige Parken dazu.
