Pretty much what was expected. Nothing was amiss

Nothing really except that we could not get the TV to work, and internet was a bit wonky

Good location, easy check in, security.

Great location, walking distance to town centre and China town. On street parking is available (Pay & Display - free if you have a blue badge) We only stayed 1 night - good place to rest up for a few hours (late check out 12pm with a fee)

The rooms were clean and comfortable and towels and shower gel were provided

Some of the apartment is run down things are broken, the bath was mouldy around the outside, the carpet had burn marks on it. The pull out sofa bed was broken and there was no bedding for it so 2 of our group couldn't sleep The parking in the car park they charge £10 a night but on the road just outside there was a lot of space and it was only £2.50 for the night. It's in a quiet location so parking on the road is not a problem. The windows were locked in the bedrooms so we couldn't open them and it was very hot in there!

Great location close to the city centre Had all the extras like washing up liquid, tea towels and tea and coffee. Comfortable beds

Could get quite warm in there but opening windows and using the fan provided made it much more pleasant

Unfortunately, my stay at Mica Point City Centre Apartment was disappointing. On arrival, the apartment did not appear to have been properly cleaned, apart from the bed linen. I found visible dirt, dust, marks and grease in several areas, particularly around the cooker and extractor hood. There were also numerous maintenance and condition issues, including damaged and worn window surrounds, uneven and worn blinds, marked kitchen cupboards, chipped and worn fixtures, and signs of deterioration in the bathroom. Most concerningly, the bathroom hot-water tap was not working. I took photographs and videos immediately after arrival to document the condition, particularly because a £200 damage deposit had been taken. I do not believe guests should be held responsible for pre-existing damage, deterioration or cleanliness issues. I was also concerned about the stated £100 cleaning charge, as I should not be charged for leaving an apartment excessively dirty when there were already significant cleanliness issues on arrival. When I raised these issues with management, their response was simply “okay,” with no meaningful explanation, apology, or indication that the problems would be addressed.

Communal stairwell was dirty and had a boarded up door. Had two doubles rather than a double and a twin

Very good location. Easy walk into the center. Good information about how to access property and where to leave keys.

In poor condition, no plugs in any sinks. Furniture old and damaged. Flooring in poor condition. Mattress needs replacing and soft and sunken. The WiFi code was incorrect. We found the correct code on the router.

This property only has one key when it can sleep up to 6 gets so beware of plans. There was only cold water, the host did fix the issue but there was no apology. Also was fined for car parking due to the permit not being ‘readable’ so beware of this.

Easy access and locked car park beds were ok

Blinds were missing in one of the rooms and curtains were not blacked out ended up having to go out as the screws were coming out the wall on the curtain clips so my husband had to screw fatter screws in before the curtain fell off. One of the curtains that was up it was like one side up and the other down. It smelt of wet dog even when I sprayed the whole carpet and beds with fabreeze

The facilities, very clean and well maintained with everything that is needed for families. Host and manager are very friendly and respectful.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to experience the property properly. The location seemed convenient, but I was unable to stay due to issues on arrival.

The shower and Wi-Fi were not working, making the apartment unsuitable for my stay, so I had to leave. I contacted Booking.com, but nothing was done to resolve the issue. I was also required to pay a damage deposit by bank transfer, which has not been returned despite my stay not going ahead. After looking online, I found other reviews from people describing similar experiences with the deposit process. I would advise future guests to be very cautious before paying any deposit by bank transfer.

Comfortable and quiet for such a great central location with only a short walk to shops, restaurants, the canals area and New Street train station.

We had a great stay and really appreciated how close the accommodation was to the O2 Arena, which was our destination for the evening. It was a last-minute booking, and the host was flexible with excellent communication throughout. The staff were pleasant, professional, and welcoming.

The only thing to mention is that the room was very hot during the heatwave. There was one fan provided, which helped, but an additional fan or another cooling option would have made it even more comfortable. This is more of a suggestion for the host than a criticism, as the exceptional weather was beyond anyone’s control.

We had a really pleasant stay at this family home apartment in Birmingham. The neighbourhood was peaceful, quiet, and felt very safe, which made it easy to relax throughout our visit. The apartment itself was kept to a very good standard — everything was clean, tidy, and well looked after. The host provided a great experience from start to finish, with clear communication and an easy check-in process that made arrival stress-free. WiFi was included and worked perfectly during our stay, which was very convenient. Overall, it’s a comfortable and welcoming place for anyone looking for a calm stay in Birmingham. We would happily stay here again and definitely recommend it to others. A relaxing stay in a peaceful neighbourhood with excellent hospitality and everything needed for a comfortable visit.

Complicated arrival process - why do you need ID? Also a £200 damage deposit being held for 7-10 days after check out - this is not ideal and would stop me booking if I knew.

* The water heater was not working, and the water was very cold. * There was no AC. * The apartment was not as clean as it appeared in the photos. * There was an unpleasant smell in the apartment, especially in the living room. * The late check-in fee was not disclosed clearly before booking, which came as an unexpected additional charge to me.

Reasonably clean

Without asking if its OK, they gave us different accommodation in a different part of the city. This only became apparent when they gave us a meeting point to pick up the keys about 24 hours ahead of check-in. The new location was in a very noisy part of town right opposite a nightclub. When we first arrived, having booked for 4 people, there were only 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels in the whole place. Resolved fairly quickly though. Kitchen was poor - Very limited number of glasses and cups. No ovenware whatsoever. We were only able to use it because we brought our own dish. Oven shelf didn't fit. Dishwasher was present but the upper rack was broken. The shower bracket was broken - shower head jumped off and banged my wife on the head quite hard!

The host was very friendly, the apartment was clean and spacious. The area was very quiet which made the stay very comfortable and enjoyable.

Location was our priority and it was right behind the O2 academy but bonus the apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped

The flat is large and close to the city centre.

The place is quite run down, lots of burn marks on things, carpets could do with replacing too. The oven had no shelves in so was quite hard to cook with and it was lacking a lot of basic utensils.

Everything that we could have needed was there. Great location for what we wanted too

There was an electrical fault on the job switch. I went to turn it on and got electrocuted heavily. I told the property owner and he did seem like he understood the severity of the situation.

Close to city centre and railway station. Property was clean and tidy. Was perfect for our needs.

Everything was fine but duvets could have been a little bit thicker. Some found it chilly in the night.

The location is perfect... right close to everything in town area. The building feels secure. The room was clean and comfortable. I liked the kitchenette and the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable.
