It was a great location. Perfect as we were only staying one night, flying in & out of Gatwick, which only took 5mins to get too.

Tremendous location only 1.7 miles from Gatwick airport , but you feel like you are in the middle of the countryside

Very clean , but also very dated. No ice , no iron board or iron . Zero interaction with owners or staff, I specifically asked for a ground floor room because I had recently undergone knee surgery, I was told via email that yes I would have a ground floor room, on arrival I was told that I no longer had a ground floor room and instead had a first floor room, the explanation was “ we had a big group booking so we had to move you “ no sorry no help with our luggage, the owners ( there are no staff ) live in the building and they literally do not want any interaction with their guests. And I mean zero. The bed was the softest bed I have ever slept in and this was not a good thing, like trying to sleep on a giant bowl of jelly. So to sum up , fantastic location beautiful building and grounds , could be an absolutely amazing place but seems like owners are satisfied with what they have and are blind to the opportunities that they have.

The furniture in the room was mismatched and very, very old. It felt like a care home.

In one of our two rooms the water was on hot in the shower and could not be changed so we could not use the shower. One of our party got burt with the hot water. The electric extension did not work on one of the four plugs.

Great location for airport and great sercure for parking

Excellent location for Gatwick Airport and very easy to find. The property was exceptionally clean and surprisingly quiet despite being so close to the airport. Our room was a good size and had a very useful mini fridge. The secure gated premises and free parking during our stay were also a real plus. The self check-in instructions were very clear, including how to find the property and access it on arrival, so everything worked smoothly. It is also only about a 5–7 minute walk to the Black Horse pub, which serves excellent, reasonably priced Indian food with very friendly service.

As this is a fully self check-in property, there is no management presence in the building if you suddenly need help with something that was not arranged in advance, such as organising a taxi to the airport. The bath towel provided was rather small. There is also no food or drinks service, which we expected, but it would have been useful to have somewhere in the communal living or dining area to refill water bottles. The shower in our room had no screen, so water splashed across the bathroom floor when showering.

Perfect spot to stay for the airport. We were able to charge the car overnight too. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

No staff; everything was self check in. Bed and pillows uncomfortable and the layout of the room was poor in terms of plus sockets and mirrors. Terrible shower with no screen or curtain and old, dates furniture and decor. Not good value for money and the parking for the airport is very expensive.

The grounds were beautiful. Had a little playground for kids, nice patio to sit on and have a coffee, and a pretty walking path with benches to sit on throughout. Very close to the airport which gave us more time before the flight. Since they offer limited/ extra charge options available they gave a little booklet, in our room, for more options available (a.k.a. food, entertainment, wifi, and a brief history on the property). Instructions were made very clear on how to get to the property and into it once your there. Self service check in was very easy and they had plenty of parking on site. The room was cute, the sheets were clean, and the tv worked.

Told us it would be self service check in, which was great, but when we checked in there was no staff anywhere to ask for an extra towel since they only gave us one hand towel and 2 small body towels for 2 people. Also, I was taking an international flight and wanted to be clean before I left since I would be traveling for 20+ hours but that was not possible due to the broken shower head in our room. In addition, my partner had to spend 10 minutes cleaning the toilet seat of whatever was caked on to it. In doing so used the 1 roll of toilet paper they gave us and again there was no staff anywhere to tell about these issues. The next morning we went for a walk and stumbled upon a staff member cleaning a room and asked for the things that we needed but by then we had 2 hours before check out. She went into the room and grabbed a towel from the room she was cleaning, which I'm not sure if someone in that room had used it before she gave it to me. She also said nothing to us other then "Check out is at 10:30". Was very disappointed in the ONLY interaction I had with a staff member.

Good location for getting to the airport, good sized, clean room and a nice breakfast. Very helpful staff, we arrived a little later than planned and they were very accommodating. Highly recommended.

Property was clean and spacious. Easy to access and location was perfect for both dinner and the airport.

Our had a very broken shower. It worked but there was water shooting in all directions including straight out of the shower.

Could hear everything from neighbours, someone arrived at night and it was very noisy when they came and tried to find a room, especially considering if you need to wake up early for your flight.

We stayed here after a wedding. Check in was easy, room was great, bed was comfy, shower was powerful. No complaints, would definitely stay here again.

The location was excellent, the room was nice, and everything met my expectations.

The only problem I hit was that the code I had been sent to open the gate to the property had been changed. A phone call to the number posted on the gate resolved the situation within 30 seconds.

Lovely hotel, very peaceful set back from the road, excellent room, would visit again!

It would be nice if there was a breakfast option.

Location handy to Gatwick Airport

Staff had no empathy knowing my luggage had been lost not even willing to loan a phone charger..told me to walk to Tesco to buy one... The first thing said to us on arrival was do you have the 20 pound cash for early check in, then left to sit in the lounge for 1.5 hours (after a 23 hour flight) until check in at 12 with no access to toilets, then they asked for the 20 pound a second time. Tea and coffee facilities but no water to fill the jug so could not make use of it. Very hot rooms with only one small window so it was very uncomfortable despite the fan provided. Rooms cluttered and dusty with no blanket provided for the bed. No curtain on the shower so the water poured straight out onto the floor. Cleanliness could be improved as our feet were dirty within minutes of stepping out of the shower as the floor was not clean. Would not stay again.

Water goes all over floor from shower no glass or door, and no shelf for sitting your shampoo /soap on .

The location brilliant, no staff on site but access to the room well guided. Very close to the airport and very nice gardens.

The shower head was leaking badly and spread water everywhere. The bath towels were weary The pillows not comfortable as well as the bed medium quality. People were noisy after midnight.

The price, location, self check-in and communication. Room size was good and everything worked. One of the room had a fridge which was great for our stay as it was a warm evening so cold water was not too far to fetch.

I'd say the rooms do get extremely hot if your stay happens to fall on a hot summer day.

Rooms (X2) were both clean and tidy with everything you need, including tea and coffee, towels, soap, etc. Fan in both rooms which were good for the warm weather. The grounds were beautiful, just a shame we didn't get to relax in them as it was a quick stop over for the airport.

Very secluded home, 10 mins drive from Gatwick airport surrounded by gardens. So much nicer than your standard airport hotels. They also offer pick up and drop off to Gatwick but we didn't need this. Lovely sitting room area and sunroom, also outside setting in the garden. Very quiet.

The property itself was stunning!! A great garden and a nice place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee or an evening wine. Rooms were lovely as well. The location is right next to a restaurant which was beautiful and only 5 mins walk!! Our taxi didn’t show up the next morning and the host pulled a bunch of drivers together in minutes to get all 14 of us to the airport in time!! So very accommodating !
