The Hotel at Avalon, Autograph Collection

The stay and staff at the hotel were exceptional. As for the restaurant attached to the hotel, I have mixed opinions. The hostess who greeted us was pleasant and attentive but we were never served or greeted by a waiter/waitress so we unanimously decided to eat elsewhere. Only disappointment of our stay.

Not really clean for a Marriot. Coffee maker needed to be moved because there no power source were it was placed. Details matter when you pay more for a room.

SK restaurant was wonderful! Every meal, breakfast and dinner, was worth it. Comfort, nice views- enjoyed rainbows, room service staff Mr. QinQin and all others on Day 1 was superb, 10 out of 10!

Day 2- different front desk staff- professional, but not as accommodating. Mobile pay down, had to cut short bar/restaurant tab to use physical card. Elevator took me DOWN to the pool level instead of up to 12th floor, and stayed stuck. According to guest, well-known issue. Keys did not work- alternative room smelled of dog, carpet spots. Gagged, couldn't unpack. On the way back to lobby from 12th, forgot about malfunctioning elevator, got stuck again. Last and final room—bathroom wallpaper peeling, smelled of men's cologne, stained washcloth. Other than that, decent stay.

Front desk staff very pleasant and professional. Beautiful lobby. Clean room and comfortable bed. Bartenders make excellent old-fashioneds.

Dip platter from SCK needs to be on the bar's pre-dinner menu. Reserved a king corner suite and had a view of the hotel's roof and industrial air-conditioners. No shuttle to Ameris Amphitheatre.

Great location but pricing can be up to $500 PLUS you have to pay for parking. I forgot my makeup wipes and they didn't provide any in the room. I called the front desk and they said they could send one up but my room would be charged for 1 make up wipe when the room cost close to $500! Craziness.

There isn't much parking when checking in/dropoff. It was VERY congested in the traffic circle and the traffic to get to the drop off took a while to get to due to having to have to go through very busy shopping center. Rooms don't include makeup wipes.

The location at Avalon is perfect. Everything is within walking distance, even a grocery store. Beautiful property and great staff.

First floor of this hotel is gorgeous. Valet was kind and took us wherever we needed to go. Starbucks is a plus. It was nice to have a live singer in the evening but mic was way too loud. Room is somewhat on the small side but very clean. I have to remove one star because there is a large sliding barn door in front of the bathroom and it was so hard to open and close that at times took two people. It also did not offer enough privacy.

Another Great Stay at the Hotel at Avalon----clearly the best hotel in the greater Alpharetta area. Excellent vibe throughout the hotelmade possible by attentive and outgoing staff. Had a slight snafu with the rooms we booked for the family, but Lexy at front desk and Manager Edith quickly and professionally solved the issue. First rate attention and response. We'll continue to use Hotel at Avalon as our go-to hotel in Alpharetta

We loved the location in the shopping and dining area. So many different restaurants to chose from and it was a beautiful area to stroll through. We especially loved the big screen set up to watch the World Cup games going on. That was super fun.

Cleaning of the general hallways and elevator area. It was clean but the areas were very busy and people just didn’t respect the space (guests). Probably needed a dedicated staff person to clean just halls and elevator areas daily. This was very minor however. Just something we noticed on our way to and from our room.

The 1st room we were given was horrible. Toilet clogged, certain lights didn’t work, stains on the furniture. The front desk manager was very sweet & accommodating, she located another room for me and moved us shortly afterwards.

Enjoyed breakfast lunch and dinner. . Bar staff most accommodating A big shout out for Rio our server !!!!!

Staff was nice and helpful, The rooftop pool area is a great touch. He had a room that had access to the pool area from the room. Room was clean.

Pool Area Ran Out Of Towels, and it was early in the day, No one ever came and restocked the towels. And the beds were a little firm. But if you like a firmer bed then there’s no problem.

I wanted to see the fireworks from the hotel. The pool was way too small for that hotel party.

Nice location for the shopping at Avalon. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, the room was not well maintained and the air conditioning on the 12th floor appeared to be inoperable, the floor was extremely warm. The sheets were torn, there were stains on the pillow cases and mold in the shower. This was the third Autograph Collection property we stayed at during the week and it did not live up to the Autograph Collection standards. Probably will not return. Brunch at the restaurant was amazing.

A atenção com o hospede e os cuidados com o quarto. Quando chegamos no quarto, o vaso sanitário estava entupido, a torneira da pia não estava funcionando bem. Ficamos o dia inteiro fora do quarto, exceto das 12 a 13 horas; quando chegamos no final da noite, o quarto não foi limpo. Estava assim como saímos.

Our driver, Shane was amazing! He was timely, courteous, and friendly. Highly recommend his services when staying at the Avalon hotel.

I liked the location and how modern the hotel is. The room was clean, the design was beautiful, and the hotel is in a great area with many restaurants and shops nearby.

The biggest issue was that the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. The room was extremely hot, and we could barely sleep. The bathroom exhaust fan also didn’t work, so every time we took a shower, the room became even hotter and more uncomfortable. This really affected our stay.

There was a mix up with my reservation. Totally my fault, but the manager was rude and not willing to work with me to cancel my reservation through booking. I was locked out of my room and was not allowed to get in until I paid for my stay in full at the property. So I paid for the room twice

Perfect location for us for a family party in the area. The Avalon is part of a mixed resi-retail village with many high end shops and restaurants. The community also includes a Whole Foods which was a very nice bonus. We ate at the large Whole Foods for convenience given the local restaurants were often crowded and some of the menus were limited. The fitness center is spacious and fairly quiet since most folks prefer the lying by the pool.

The pool are is a bit of a scene late in the day especially with the frequent weddings that the hotel hosts.

２泊しました。 チェックインは夕方でした。部屋は，二階で窓の外の景色は全く無しで壁と、大きなダクト！ ゴーって大きな音がして，とても不快でした。仕方なく夕飯に出かけ，部屋に戻り寝る準備をしました。ところが空調がオフになりません。 何度も何度も試したけどダメです，空気口から冷たい風と ゴーーーっと言う大きな音！ 夜も遅かった為、とても寒い部屋で，顔に布団を掛けてその日は仕方なく寝ましたがとても不快でした！ 2日目の朝早くフロントに行き、空調が壊れてるから部屋のチェンジを言いました。 なら、部屋のチェンジはしてくれましたが、すみませんの一言もありませんでした！ 1日目の宿泊料金を返金してほしいぐらいのきもちでおります！ もう、２度と宿泊する事はありません！

An ode to Jahn… Jahn has a respect for life that is rarely seen on a coffee run first thing in the morning, let alone, broadly throughout society. It had been so refreshing to be reminded, ever so gently, (almost every morning) when I’m getting my day started at Avalon Starbucks— to be kind and intentional. Jahn embodies this through his extra care when making your coffee or breakfast pastry or tidying the workspace. He gives “teammate” with every motion. If you’ve missed your name being called… no worries, Jahn will quietly shuffle around the counter and deliver it to you personally. The way he makes eye contact and takes care to pronounce your name when handing you your order. Excellence. It’s just amazing to be blessed through observation of this human who seems to get being human so well… and it inspires me. It reminds me. Thanks Avalon Starbucks for partnering with Jahn. He gets it and is visibly committed to giving life his best. World, be more like Jahn. 🙏🏾

What a wonderful place to stay at !! The staff is wonderful! Great leadership all around !! Brooke Julian and som will make your stay delightful! The room as spacious and cozy and south city kitchen and bar will make your evening memorable! Keep it going team Avalon !

What a beautiful hotel and staff! From the Gm of the hotel to the front desk, they are all devoted to give you the best experience! Manager at south city as well as Starbucks are always available to answer all your needs! It was probably the best hotel to spend a relaxing weekend in Alpharetta !

Dennica is an absolute gem and has made our experience here & every time we come magical! She remembers us everytime we come and goes out of her way to make sure we are happy. I was genuinely unimpressed with my stay. Several issues added up and made the experience far below expectations. At breakfast, I asked for the same parfait I had ordered the day before, only to be told they “don’t have it on Saturdays.” The server didn’t make any effort to check whether it could be prepared, and instead suggested I go to Starbucks. That’s not the level of service I expect from a hotel restaurant. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. Although we left the room every day around 8:30 a.m. and didn’t return until 4 p.m., the room was not cleaned daily. Finally, when I valeted my car, the parking attendant made an inappropriate comment: “I take care of your car and you take care of me.” Completely unprofessional.

My main issue was the weekend prince for the room was 200, my monday night price was 400 and for that double price I go no hot water between 9 and 5 on Monday and Tuesday, an room where the wall paper was pealing off the bathroom wall, the bathroom sink drained very slowly and it took a long time to get how water Monday night.

My first room smelled like bleach, the bed was completely unmade (no sheets, pillows, or blankets were on the bed, and there was some type of dried excrement on the rug. They upgraded me to a corner King which was better but then when I was about to go to sleep, I get poked by a shard of hard plastic that looked and felt like glass. The staff came upstairs to investigate and saw that it was indeed a sharp shard in my bed. The next morning, I went to pick up one of my to go bags from.a restaurant and dust flew up in the area setting off my allergies. The gym has old equipment and fraying yoga mats and the staff doesnt seem to go out of their way to help or make your stay memorable unless there is a problem. I must say the night manager did give me a $30 voucher for food or drink as an apology and took half off the rate I paid for the room. Even so, there is so much about the hotel that lacks attention to detail. I probably would not stay here again even though it's so beautifully decorated. If this is supposed to be a luxury hotel, I would say they have some room for growth.

Best hotel and bar in town ! Good was great as well as the service and the great staff all around the hotel ! Probably the best place to be for a little staycation!!

I recently stayed at The Hotel at Avalon in Alpharetta, and it was amazing. I had a very smooth check in with complimentary iced Tea or Fruit blended water. My Room was spacious and very comfortable with a nice view of the city. I ate brunch at the restaurant called South City Kitchen. It was delicious with a bar that served the best cocktails in a hotel I’ve visited so far. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I will be making this my Go to hotel whenever I’m visiting the area.

Nice location however totally overpriced. Carpets were stained, mattress was torn on the side in a few places, tile on the bathroom floor was cut poorly, very few amenities. I don't mind paying for quality but a hotel that is an "Autograph" should at least provide their customers with an "exceptional" value added experience. Sorry to say will not be returning.

Room was small for the price

As a travel agent, I will recommend this hotel to customers and friends. After a generally underwhelming, very dry check-in at the front desk I was initially not impressed with service at this hotel…. But the valet crew went above and beyond- not only with friendliness and smiles (the only smiles I received during my stay by the hotel staff I interacted with) - the valet crew overheard that I had forgotten my phone charger and found one to fit my phone and then came and found me at Starbucks to loan it to me for the day so I could charge my phone. The room was fine, the facility clean and comfortable, but it was entirely (and ONLY) the valet staff who made my stay special and why I will recommend this hotel to others (with this story included). Much thanks and appreciation to NATE and his valet group during my stay.

I had such a wonderful stay at The Hotel Avalon on March 7! From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The rooms were beautifully designed, spotless, and had that perfect balance of luxury and relaxation that makes you feel instantly at home. What made the visit even more special was attending the International Women’s Day event hosted by Lululemon. The energy in the space was inspiring—being surrounded by such an empowering community celebrating strength, wellness, and connection made the evening truly memorable. Everything was thoughtfully organized, and the setting at the hotel made it feel both elevated and intimate. Between the exceptional hospitality at Hotel Avalon and the uplifting Lululemon event, it was the perfect way to celebrate International Women’s Day. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend!

I visited the Avalon Hotel with friends and the accommodations were amazing! Let's start with the staff! The staff greeted us and attended to us immediately! During our stay, we were always greeted with a smile! The room was nice & clean! The property's location afforded is the pleasure of leisurely walking to a variety of stores and restaurants. Everything during our visit was superb! I highly recommend this hotel!

My husband and I spent our anniversary at the Hotel at Avalon. The service was impeccable and it was a great getaway! Many thanks to Dennica Lawrence who went above and beyond when I called and told her it was our anniversary. She upgraded our room to a larger king room with an amazing view of the Avalon, and sent an amenity to our room to help us celebrate. She accommodated an early check-in and helped us with a smooth checkout this morning. She truly helped make our stay and our anniversary one that we will always remember.

My wife and I did a staycation at Hotel Avalon and it was simply AMAZING!! If you have not had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Avalon you are missing out on a TREAT!!! Great Hotel, Great area, and Super Foods options. We will be back soon!

My wife and I spent Valentines weekend (5th straight year) and it was fantastic as always. Two main reasons for the outstanding weekend were Denica Lawrence (at the front desk) and Mr Valet himself Biruk (Brook)! Employees that treat you like "friends" and not just doing their job are what it is all about! Ask for them by name when you visit this wonderful hotel. The whole experience was wonderful. The room is updated and clean. Housekeeping did a fantastic job each day! The food was delicious. The front desk staff is very friendly. Definitely a 5 star experience! I want to give a special shoutout to Julian, a valet. Julian was very professional and efficient. I do have more to say about him and would love to talk more about this. When responding to my review please tell me who is supervisor is!

Avalon never fails to impress. This past visit was well beyond my expectations. I had a family reunion with everyone arriving day before the snow bomb. No one could leave the hotel due to cold, wind, and snow. What could have been a disaster trying to get additional rooms turned out to be a good experience mainly due to the staff at Avalon. Som Nwanie and Danica were not only great at their positions with the technical aspects of 3 reservations but they are beautiful people inside and out. They could not have been nicer or more competent ! I don’t know what Marriott is paying them but I guarantee it is not enough for truly competent employees. Also, Julian was fabulous. I will always use. Marriott first because of their employees. Thanks for making our reunion special.

I stayed at The Hotel at Avalon during the Winter Storm Fern at the end of January. The staff made my stay beyond enjoyable and were extremely accommodating with me having to extend my trip due to the weather. They had the roads salted, the restaurant, bar, and Starbucks were all still open making meals during my stay very easy regardless of most restaurants in the area being closed. I can't wait to come back and stay again!

The Hotel was amazing, and I had a fantastic stay! The staff was very friendly during the winter storm, it was a nice stay during the storm.

In town for a family wedding. Perfect location, close to everything. Spacious rooms and an attentive staff. Nice touch making umbrellas available as it rained every day we were there.

The staff went out of their way to make our two ten year olds feel so special. They brought them nice bags filled with gifts and a treat to get at Starbucks. It made our girls trip and will forever make us love this hotel who went out of their way to treat them.
