Bed hard and un comfy. Shower was hot and wouldn’t adjust. I’d say it hasn’t been commissioned properly which is required after installation to set correct showering temperature. Breakfast was tasteless with cheap ingredients. Hash brown tasted of old fat. Toast had been done a while before we got it. Cold and was like old toast that had been sat there for a long time. Black pudding a cheap tasting one. My partner only ate the scrambled egg and bought another breakfast from town square. Staff wearing dirty aprons. Sent link to pay again even though I’d paid two weeks in advanced.

Lovely hotel right in the middle of Keswick, very dog friendly, provided dog bed, bowl and sausages for breakfast! Staff were really friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again!

The location in the centre of Keswick was good and easy to wander around in the evening after we had arrived. Breakfast was very nice, cooked to your requirements. We had reserved a parking space in the hotel's small car park which was good from a security aspect.

We had problems finding the rear of the car park due to the one way system in Keswick and spent a bit of time getting lost before we finally did get to the right place. The room was very hot, the towel rail giving out enormous amounts of heat. The display panel did not light up, so there was no where obvious to switch it off or down. We did resort to opening the windows. The wardrobe was ok for shirts or short items but not for anything long. Also there was no room safe.

Amazing breakfast! Great location. Really lovely lounge and reception area.

Not much of a view from our back property room, but all we had to do was walk out the front door for a great experience.

Location was great. Husband has health issues so wanted something central.

Cold breakfast was okay but hot breakfast could be less rigid. Not a big eater and would have liked a bacon roll rather than full breakfast and the toast is served straight at seating so cold by the time cold breakfast was finished. Also shower head covered in black mould so didn't use.

Great location in the centre of Keswick. Lovely room on the top floor with great views over to Catbells. Comfy bed & was very clean. Could also park the car at the back of the hotel, best to reserve with the hotel as there’s not many spaces.

The breakfast was ok but nothing too special. The fruit didn’t look fresh & most things had to be ordered rather than self service.

Nice big room in great central location . Staff in the hotel were nice and very helpful. Breakfast was very good.

We were asked to leave The Back Bar Beer Garden (which is advertised as dog friendly) because we had 2 dogs in our company , both were sleeping under a table. When we asked why we had to leave we were told that the boss has decided that the dogs need to be out by 9pm. I then asked if the beer garden was closing , and was told no but the dogs need to leave.

We were put on the third floor in the roof space on the room was unbearably hot and uncomfortable when we complained the staff informed us, they could not control the weather. It was not their fault not very good for the expensive rate that they charged.

Convenient location as we didn’t have a car on this leg of our holiday. Restaurant food was of a high standard.

On occasion staff could have spoken more quietly and discreetly when discussing their tasks.

Lots of add-ins to price that we were not expecting. £30 per night for a tiny dog was expensive. The room was small and probably not one of the hotels best. Parking was extra and everything had a surcharge.

The location of our room (114) right next to and above the back bar. Loud nanging music til 2.00am, which wasn't expected whilst staying in the lakes. Staff did provide ear plugs.

It was a little warm in the room, not sure if feasible but if the secondary glazing was removed we could have 2 open windows instead of 1. Already is double glazing. Wouldn’t put me off staying again.

We had an amazing long weekend here, the hotel is stunning and the location is perfect. Our room was spacious and clean, and the staff were excellent and very attentive. We stayed during the World Cup and earplugs had been left in our room with a note, which I thought was a really nice, thoughtful gesture. We would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed in one of the Herdy rooms which was a great size and loads of storage. Tea/coffee tray was provided with biscuits, and bottled water which was replenished each morning. The room was spotless with large bathroom and walk in shower. Staff were reallynprofessional, polite and friendly and the breakfast options in the morning were first class. We called the hotel a couple of days before and the hotel allocated us a parking space in the small basement car park below the hotel, which was really helpful and much appreciated. Location in Keswick was excellent and there was nothing really we'd note as a negative. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Nothing to note. It's not the cheapest hotel in the town but this wouldn't put us off staying again.

The location, the hotel is perfect for enjoying Keswick.. The bedroom was spacious and even had a floor fan in the wardrobe which was needed in this hot weather.

No air con. It was really hot weather and though hotel gave us a fan it only blew hot air around the room. It was uncomfortably warm.

Noisy on a night time given there is a bar right next to property. Earplugs given out to dampen noise. Breakfast was mediocre, you’d get a better feed at nearby cafes. Rooms were very warm, bed was very comfortable and shower facilities were excellent. Some people need to realise that this is a dog friendly hotel. Adults rolling their eyes or looking you up and down just makes themselves look stupid and not the dog. I’d try elsewhere before going back. Staff were very accommodating.

A very professionally run establishment, the rooms are very well appointed and very comfortable. The food is exceptional and the staff are so polite and professional.

The room was extremely hot, absolutely stifling so very poor nights sleep (it wasn’t a hot day). If you are staying at the back of the hotel very noisy from the bars below so we needed to keep the windows closed. Surely this hotel chain can afford a few air con units rather than a 20 quid fan. We had a voucher which caused some issues when trying to apply to our stay - communication really not great between staff on reception duty, although cannot fault Lucy who initially tried to resolve the matter but on arrival on the Friday lunchtime we were asked over and over again for the same info to the point of which it became embarrassing. On check in staff were stressed and snappy (only 2 couples checking in at the time so no reason to be this way) also openly, negatively discussing staff from the previous shift - not a great first impression at all. Is it a great location - yes but you pay the price for that!

Bedroom had no air con just a fan and it was unbearably hot had windows open all night as did a lot of other guests, lots saying the rooms were too hot also no fridge in room, They give you complimentary bottles of water but room was so hot that the water was warm. Also very little sound proofing in the rooms could hear everything.

The bed was hard. Didn’t have a good nights sleep as there were young youths at the Back bar swearing and fighting around 12.45am in the morning.

Horrendous night sleep ,stayed in room 215 and kept up till 2am in the morning due to a bar nearby . Worse sleep ever. Was for a birthday present and was spoilt. Mentioned to staff on reception who didn’t seem in the slightest bit bothered. Very poor service

Excellent breakfast

My pet was made very welcome and was given a sausage each morning at breakfast. These are small acts of kindness and thoughtfulness but they mean a lot. Hotel is very smart compared to others in the town. Nice communal areas like the bar and breakfast room. Nice selection of items in breakfast buffet followed by very good selection of cooked items cooked to order.

Another couple we met there were charged less for parking than us. Didn't want to make a fuss.

Staff were excellent. Cleaner was good. Others were flexible, and accommodating and with a sense of humour,too. Decor was lovely, room size adequate. Doggie sausage for breakfast was provided for our dog on 2 breakfasts Breakfast was a good wide selection. Fan in the bedroom.

1. No hot water for shower on one night. The previous night, the shower ran hat and cold intermittently 2. I do not recommend eating breakfast in the reception area. The seats are too low to have yo bend forward and eat. We moved to the front bar area for the subsequent meals. Much better. 3. Some Tinned fruit for breakfast 4. Loud music from bar below on Monday night until v late at night. 5. Something being rolled on metal castors across the car park at 5am? 6. The reception being so far from the garage. 7. The additional step (no warning) down to room 212. Some things can't be controlled but are there no areas of the hotel where there were quiet rooms, ?

Room didn’t have temperature control. The room was too warm for us at night so my husband opened the window. Unfortunately, both nights, we had a pigeon fly into the room, so that was a downside.

food in the restaurant was exceptional, Staff were fabulous, very attentive and efficient.

room servicing needs to happen earlier, ours was 3.30pm, and bathroom bin wasnt emptied. We reported to reception that the net curtains were filthy, so matted that they wouldnt close properly. there were also holes in the main curtains and a bad joint in the carpet, leaving a gap. No hot water on the morning we were leaving. All of the above was reported to reception upon checking out.

The breakfast choices were amazing and im coeliac and the staff were very accommodating
