Excellent stay with friendly service We had a very pleasant stay at Kubura Resort. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. The restaurant staff were particularly good, providing attentive and polite service with a pleasant attitude. The food and dining experience were enjoyable. Our room was comfortable, clean and well maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The overall atmosphere was peaceful and convenient. A good choice for anyone looking for comfortable accommodation with friendly service. I would happily stay here again.

Heerlijk hotel met zeer behulpzaam personeel, zowel in het restaurant als in de receptie, flexibel en zeer gastvrij, en het eten is daarnaast ook nog eens heerlijk. Mooie, moderne/luxe kamers. Een echte aanrader! Tip voor een voortreffelijke tourguide; vraag of dat ze Tara voor je kunnen boeken.

Die Zimmer sind sehr schön gestaltet und groß. Der Pool ist auch sehr schön. Abends zum essen sehr stimmungsvoll.

There was a fish in my plunge pool maybe for decoration but I feel it is cruel to keep a big fish in that small pool alone.

We hebben erg genoten van de mooie luxe uitziende kamers en badkamers en het zwembad. Het restaurant serveert erg lekker eten. Wij hebben hier twee van de vier dagen gegeten. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en doet zn uiterste best het naar je zin te maken. Erg lief hoe ze met ons zoontje van 1,5 jaar omgingen.

Slechts kleine puntjes. Er was geen kinderstoel aanwezig waardoor onze zoontje altijd op schoot moest zitten bij heten. Iedere ouder weer hoe ingewikkeld dit kan zijn. Deze feedback hebben we gegeven en ze zouden dit bij de manager aangeven. Hopelijk heeft het volgende gezin dus wel een kinderstoel:) Verder lijkt de locatie van het hotel op de fotos erg afgelegen en daarmee heel rustig. Er loopt echter een redelijk drukke weg vlakbij waarvan je soms geluiden hoort. In eerste instantie leek dit even jammer, maar wij hebben hier bij nader inzien weinig hinder van ervaren. Wij kunnen het verblijf hier ten zeerste aanraden.

The staff were amazing! They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to accommodate everything we needed. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the pool was lovely for cooling down after a warm day. The tours arranged by the resort were perfect and even cheaper than booking online, which was a great bonus. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious. We ended up eating here every day because we enjoyed it so much! We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back!

The rooms, the pool and the breakfast were all very nice. Nice place to relax, but not very cheap.

Animal seul qui vivant dans un bassin qui doit être sûrement être dans un ancien jacuzzi qui n’est pas entretenu. Le bruit de la route du côté de la rizière. L’espace petit dej en travaux ( pas propre), peu de choix pour le petit dej. Manque d’entretien des chambres ( vitres fendues, infiltrations sur les murs, traitement insectes)

La habitación era muy grande, estaba muy bien decorada y tenía una mini piscina, que no nos dio tiempo a usar, pero muy agradable y con el agua muy limpia. La cena y el desayuno son abundantes y están buenos, y el personal era muy amable nos trato muy bien. La zona de la piscina era muy agradable. La relación calidad precio creo que es buena. Ubicación muy buena para ver Anuradhapura

The location was convenient to access the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean.

The restaurant entertains non-resident guests and the staff is unable to cope. As a result, the serving time is painstakingly long. It is quicker to drive to a nearby restaurant for a meal. The neighbouring outdoor unit of the AC was noisy throughout the night. This could be serviced/fixed.

L’impression d’être à proximité d’un chantier voire à l’intérieur… La belle BMW du patron garée en plein milieu du lobby et qu’il faut contourner pour aller à la piscine ou au restaurant. Mais ça doit faire riche… Le manque d’entretien général Ptt dej quelconque Les suites sont confortables mais les parties communes ne sont pas au niveau, hotel surcoté

Great location, on the edge of town with a nice decking\pool area overlooking a rice field with small wildlife.

Large external groups often booked 80% of the outside decking tables during dinner, leaving limited places for hotel guests. Reserve if you want to get a table on the decking.

The rooms were a lovely size with a view over to rice patties. There is a nice pool on site. The chef was lovely.

The bathroom looked dirty, the grout was mostly out of the tiles and the toilet leaked slightly on the floor. Apart from a very good egg hopper, the breakfast was average. Sheets could be a little whiter, but was no big deal really.

La foto pubblicata su Booking non è recente.. la struttura è un po abbandonata, le camere non curate, l’ultima camera a piano terra ha una vasca esterna con acqua sporca… asciugamani strappati e il vetro sopra il bagno decisamente dimenticato da tutti. La piscina è carina. Abbiamo cenato nel ristorante perché non c’è nulla intorno. Cibo buono ma la pulizia non è il loro forte.

Molto poco curata, bagni che andrebbero puliti meglio.

Tout était parfait

The decoration of the room was acceptable although some might find the display of so many masks gory. The staff was helpful but not always truthful. I asked for a change of bedsheets, which they said they did, They did not, the bedsheet had a tear which confirmed it had not been changed

Grossly misdescribed as villas… in fact a smallish room decently decorated and furnished. However, the bed and pillows stuffed with some crumbly material, smelt of stale sweat even after we had them replaced with fresh ones. The pillows were old and the filling was made of clumps of artificial whatever it was. The towels had seen better days. The shower pressure was good but there was no hand-held shower head and the drainage was blocked. The Wi-Fi was very weak and patchy and practically unusable. There were no live TV channels and the internet-based channels very tedious to watch. We had 3 power cuts per 24 hours including at night. There was no torch provided. The small courtyard was enclosed by high walls and rather dark with no windows and only a patch of sky visible. The small splash pool was only knee-deep. The property is on the main road. You can hear the traffic all the time. It is not as alluded in a secluded area. The grounds were derelict. This is not a five-star hotel as advertised on booking.com, but 3 stars at most. Finally, the place was a fire trap with no fire safety evacuation plan, fire escapes, alarms or sprinkler system. If the fire is on the main corridor blocking the entry door, there is no way out – the walls surrounding the room are over 4m high. We were surprised that booking.com listed it at all given the blatant disregard for fire safety. We ended our stay early.

Niets op aan te merken. Prachtige locatie, sfeervol. Lief personeel dat hard voor je werkt.

Ligging, zwembad, heerlijke vibe

We had a pretty good stay at Kumbura Resort. The rooms were very spacious and modern, with comfortable beds and beautiful views of the paddy fields. Great location!! 💯It really felt like having our own little oasis. The breakfast was decent too, we enjoyed the hoppers on the morning we had breakfast there🙌

A few things could be improved, particularly the tea and coffee station and the room service delivery time. There was also a small pungent smell coming from the shower drain in the bathroom, which may have been due to a clogged drain. Overall, though, it was a lovely stay and we would definitely stay here again! ❤️

Location semplice ma molto carina. Camere pulitissime, spaziose e accoglienti. Personale gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. A pochi minuti in macchina dalla zona archeologica. É possibile cenare nel ristorante della struttura, im una terrazza illuminata e in una atmosfera molto rilassante.

Ons terras had een groot gat in de vloer (er miste 1 tegel) vermoedelijk heeft hier ooit een plant/boom gestaan. Dit vonden we minder veilig voor onze jarige zoon.

E' una struttura con degli alloggi tipo "cottage" (datati) con difronte i campi di riso; c'è la piscina sì (anche se non mi sembrava pulitissima e comunque vecchiotta). Tuttavia, la camera è ampia e pulita e anche il bagno. Lo staff gentile e disponibile

Struttura datata; pasti (cena e colazione) poco assortiti e variegati (poco abbondanti per il prezzo pagato); prezzo alto rispetto a quanto ricevuto. Tempi di attesa lunghissimi per la cena.

The car parked in front of the lobby, the food it takes ages to be served and they don’t clean the tables after you eat so you stand in the middle of uncleaned tables when you eat. Near the dining room there is construction work in front of the kitchen that should be hidden

De locatie was mooi centraal, de receptie helpt je met alles, zo hebben wij last minute nog een toertje gedaan. De kamers zijn netjes en ruim en het zwembad is heerlijk. Het restaurant is erg goed en divers.

Me gustaron las habitaciones. Aunque el emplazamiento no era muy bueno. Salías y era un polígono en carretera. Dentro el hotel estaba muy bien. Comida rica y personal muy atento.

Mooi aangelegde accommodatie met ruime kamers en mooi uitzicht over de rijstvelden! Keurig complex met heerlijk zwembad en terras. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Mooie uitvalsbasis om Anuradhapura te verkennen.

Eigenlijk geen minpunten, want deze lokatie was gewoon heel mooi! Enige minpuntje is dat deze aan een doorgaande weg ligt, maar hier heb je geen last van in de kamers. Wel hoor je deze als je bij het zwembad ligt.

Light & shadow. Location ok, sites to visit are close. Hearable highway across the rice feld from balconies & restaurant. Main street in the front. We had two rooms balcony & private pool. Calls itself a luxury place. The overall performance is ok, rooms were large w/ nice and modern style, but an experienced traveller recognises quite room for improvement. Sinks not working, personal pool could probably bleach your clothes, some spots could be cleaned better, central door blind in pool room not installed, so it gets bright early. Better go for balcony then private pool (no view). Loud/misfuntioning ac there. General pool in the middle of the restaurant. Restaurant can be well used, but dont' expect to be thrilled. Staff both willing & sloppy. Would search a new experience next time, but the place felt safe.

We had a wonderful stay at Kubura Resort, a small and friendly resort with just 11 rooms. We stayed in a spacious, well-appointed suite with a separate lounge area and our own private plunge pool, which made the stay feel particularly relaxing. We ate at the resort restaurant and enjoyed the food. All of the staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. A special thank you to Dinesh at the front office, who went above and beyond to help us after we had checked out and departed for our next hotel. My wife had accidentally left some important medication behind in our room, and Dinesh arranged for it to be driven to our next hotel. We were extremely grateful for his help and exceptional service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Kubura Resort to others.

Locatie top, lekker zwembad en fijn terras om te lunchen/dineren. Op ons verzoek werd glutenvrij brood voor onze zoon geregeld waar we ze erg dankbaar voor waren!

Ontbijtzaal vonden wij erg ongezellig. Eén dag was er een ontbijt buffet, de 2e dag werd dit geserveerd. Personeel bleef wat ongemakkelijk om je heen hangen. De plek waar al de ontbijtspullen stonden zag er niet heel schoon/fris uit.

Perfecte locatie voor uitstapjes in de stad, naar de oude stad met tuktuk. Ook totaal geen last van de wat grotere weg zoals in andere reviews gemeld. Eten was erg goed

De koffie, daar moet je ff doorbijten :-)

Location and private veranda

The unfinished trend of cement walls in the bathroom with black tiled floors made for an uncomfortable experience wondering if the bathroom was actually clean. Hand bidet kept running out of water... Towels and bed linen were washed but heavily stained. Service was nowhere to be seen on most occasions. Only saving grace was the private veranda.

The rooms were spacious and well presented air-conditioning good pool was clean and inviting, the food was amazing we had a sri lankan breakfast fit for a king. The waiting staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, we would definitely stay there again.

Nothing bad to say

We stayed at Kobura Resort Hotel for three nights and had a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Our room was spacious, the bathroom was clean, and the view over the rice fields was beautiful. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They even assisted us in organizing excursions and arranged a tuk-tuk driver who showed us the surrounding area. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, and we especially enjoyed the freshly prepared traditional dishes made by the chef. The food throughout our stay was excellent, authentic, and full of local flavors. The pool was also very enjoyable and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Overall, we felt very welcome and would happily recommend this hotel for its warm hospitality, great food, and peaceful atmosphere.

Some parts of the property could benefit from renovation and maintenance. Guests who are used to higher international hotel standards may notice a few shortcomings. However, this did not affect our overall enjoyment of the stay.

O hotel precisa de uma manutenção urgente e uma limpeza profunda. Havia teias de aranha em varios sitios do quarto, o teto transparente da casa de banho tenho dúvidas que alguma vez tenha sido transparente, de manhã não havia água quente e se chover esqueçam dormir, porque o teto faz um barulho que vai ser impossível fechar o olho cinco minutos.

Wir hatten ein dreier Zimmer und genügend Platz. Großes, sauberes und modernes Zimmer. Balkon mit schöner Aussicht. Das Bad ist richtig schön gerade die Dusche mit Blick ins Freie. Der Pool ist eine super Abkühlung. Das Frühstück war auch sehr besonders. Man bekommt Obst, Cornflakes, Sri Lanka typisches Esseb und englisches Frühstück. Personal sehr zuvorkommend und beim Frühstück hat uns der Koch genau erklärt, was zubereitet wurde.
