Beautiful and spotlessly clean, comfortable and very welcoming by Fatima and her lovely staff. Food was delicious. The Hammam and massage experience were both fantastic.
Nothing
Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und engagiert. Man fühlte sich wie zu Hause.
Comme à la maison! Immersion dans la culture locale. Accueil.
L’emplacement
Ras
Staff was nice and trying to help
Far from city, overpriced, brekfast could be better specially considering price. Definitely not 5 stars as adevertised.
Na
This is by no means a 5 stars hotel, and our host made it very clear this was NOT a hotel, she said it literally, so I hope google will correct the description of this site and remove the “5 stars hotel” description. This is a bed and breakfast, the family lives in the premises and they prepare breakfast for you, but it needs to be at a definite time, we were on holidays and we appreciate flexibility we said we will have breakfast between 8:30am and 9:00am, that was unacceptable to our host she needed an exact time, so much for flexibility during your holidays. The breakfast was really disappointing not even a single fruit, just bread, bread and bread. This is an overpriced bed and breakfast for the same price I could have booked a real 5 stars hotel. It is really far from the Medina and the services is one of the worst I have seen in Morocco. The cherry on top of the cake was: for the airport shuttle we had to pay 30 euros for a 20 minute drive, if I get a taxi on the street this would have costed 30 MAD.
Clean. Comfortable. Pretty good the breakfast- not continental.
Location. It’s far away from Medina and the taxis are trying to get a lot of money from you just because you are foreigner. We paid almost 50 euros more in taxis in 2 days. The normal ride is 20 dh but we paid 60 dh just for one way. Then pretty difficult to get a taxi back from Medina. So amazing riad but very far away from Medina.
Beautiful traditional decor
Unfortunately, our experience at this riad was very disappointing. The host was not helpful with transportation arrangements at all, which made traveling between cities unnecessarily stressful. When we arrived, she argued loudly with our taxi driver about the fare instead of helping resolve the situation calmly. We were also surprised on our final morning to be told during breakfast that breakfast was not included, even though every other riad we stayed in during our trip included it and this was not made clear in advance. Additionally, our clothes were taken for cleaning and were not ready by checkout time, which created unnecessary stress while trying to leave. Overall, the room felt overpriced for the level of service provided and the rudeness from management. She then proceeded to say “that’s the problem with you Arabs, I only have a problem with you”. What’s ironic is that I’m born and raised in the United States and my wife is American as well. The experience lacked warmth and hospitality. I do want to say that the other woman working there, along with her young son, were very kind and welcoming — they were the bright spot of our stay. Sadly, because of the management and lack of support, I would not recommend staying here. I also urge you to read the other negative reviews. I wish I had read them before booking.
Amazing Stay at the Riad Raouia. Hakima and Fatima were amazing Hosts, the Food was absolutely delicious and athe Hammam was an experience. 100% recommend
Vielen Dank.
Extremely clean, wonderful owner and staff, Hammam and spa available. Parking outside
the bed was too hard for us
Love the house itself - great tile work - our room was beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast in the courtyard was nice. Fatima and her staff are nice and helpful
Not a great location. We didn’t have a car and walked out to find dinner - wound up stopping someone on the street and found a place. Not quite enough food at breakfast
Architettura stile Riad molto vicina allo stile marocchino. Stanza semplice con bagno privato (in stile mosaico tipicamente morocchino). Servizio SPA massaggiatrice e trattamento benessere ottimi (consigliato). Cibo tipico e buonissimo fatto in casa.
Pleasant interaction with the Riad's owner and her staff, who are very knowledgeable about Fes and gave good sightseeing advice. The riad is located in a quiet neighbourhood. Our room was spacious, classically furnished and very clean. The breakfast was adequate. Good WIFI signal.
The price/value ratio was not the best. It was expensive for what it is. The riad is about 6 km from the medina and the main sights in Fes. Ideally you have your own transport means to reach it. There are only a few dining options nearby.
Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst.
Exceptional hospitality, felt like visiting friends, not a hotel. When we mentioned how good is their tea the owner not only recommended to us where to buy it but also showed us how to properly prepare it. The bedroom does look like on the picture.
Everything was great. The staff we encountered (Fátima, Hakima, Rashid and Rick) were really nice and helpful. We felt at home.
Everything, great breakfast, fantastic staff, comfortable bed, beautiful decor
Location but the host can arrange a driver for a reasonable price
I had an amazing experience at this hotel from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was clean and spacious The location is great if you have a car convenient to nearby attractions, restaurants, . The breakfast was delicious What truly stood out was the attention to detail and genuine hospitality. It’s clear the team cares about making every guest feel welcome and valued. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfory
Lovely property! Very romantic. The staff were exceptional. Location is a little out of the way, but inside the walls of the Riad, it is peaceful and lovely. The hammam was worth the cost. Sayham was professional and very sweet.
The location was not ideal, but was okay.
Very friendly people, attentive to each detail ! Thank you so much !
All was good
Breakfast was first class and really Moroccan. Location of guest house a little indifferent
Impersonal neighbourhood.
The accommodation was very authentic with beautiful decor. Fatima is very welcoming. Also, the chef who cooks and serves you breakfast, lunch, and dinner from the restaurant is very lovely. We had a Hamman spa, and massage at the property which was fantastic.
I wouldn't say the property is a Riad , more a villa, and the villa is quite far away from the Medina with a 1 hour and a half walk or 20 minute drive. We went in December so cold in the morning and evening. We did have heating in the room, but the villa was cold elsewhere, and we found quite dark also. The outside area could do with updating with maybe a lounge area with sunbeds to relax on rest days.
It was an amazing place to stay. It's like staying with family. Everything was really clean, beautiful and everyone was really nice. The food was really good! I parked my motorcycle inside safely. I would surely comeback.
It was an amazingly beautiful home and we were welcomed as part of the family
There was nothing we disliked.
It was close enough to the Medina but far enough for less people with the hustle and bustle! It’s in an immersion of both serenity & quietness!
Not one complaint
Very interesting and unique atmosphere. Nice wooden work and a misterious touch of a 1001 night tales. :) Professional owner, you can get a lot of recommendations and useful advices. Also, a tour guide if you need one. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is also nice.
No complaints.
We stayed only for one night. The place is extremely clean, very authentic, with much attention to detail. But the best, but the best about this place is the owner and the staff. We had a wonderful breakfast. We had a wonderful welcome, very attentive, very personal. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to experience Moroccan hospitality at its best.
Nothing to complain about
Beautiful house, nice and quiet Lovely breakfast
The arquitectura was so beautiful!
It was a bit far from the city center. We had a car but if we had to move by public transportation it would be a bit difficult.
The Riad was like a home. Beautifully decorated, colourful and welcoming. We had a very comfortable stay.
Nothing
Everything was perfect, The young Lady was extremely friendly
This place was very special for us and we couldn't stop admiring the beauty of the house. It is an old family house that the owners transformed into Riad. Every detail in the house is carefully designed in an authentic Moroccan style and the house is a piece of art, making it different than modern Riads. The hosts are the owners and they are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was also very delicious. The place is not within walking distance to Medina but we were with a car so it was perfect concerning parking in front of the house. If we would go back to Fes, we would definitely stay here again!
The host Fatima is very helpful and she can help you
The worst hammam experience in my life… The hotel should not be classified as riad!!!
The hosts were very friendly, we felt in our home. The house is beautiful, and we had all to feel very confortable, even we would like to come back in a future with some friends.
Very friendly hosts, nice breakfast, calm location
We took the hamman experience which was very good but the steam room was too cold. Location is very calm but very distant from the medina (it was difficult to get safe transport back in the evening)
This was hands down the most beautiful place we had stayed at while in Morocco. Even though this property was beautiful, it is not as amazing as the family who runs this Riad. Fatima and her family treated my fiancé and I like family, it really felt like a home away from our home. I feel extremely grateful for not only the experience of our stay, seeing Fes as a beautiful town, but more importantly creating new friends with Fatima and family. Without a doubt, we will stay here again on our next visit to Fes. Truly a treat and I cannot recommend Riad Raouia enough. Do yourself a favor, book your stay here so that you can have a wonderful experience!!!
Nothing! A perfect place!
Fátima is a great hostess. Her family's riad is amazingly beautiful. It was an unforgettable experience. The meals were delicious and huge. We took advantage of a guided tour of the Fes Medina and a hamman treatment, organized by Fátima. They both were some of the highlights of our Moroccan vacation
Beautiful and friiendly place
The riad was acceptable. However, the price was too expensive compering to the services. AC was not working and I asked at least for a blanket and I had a very thin one. But the breakfast and the treatment was good though.
The Riad is great, it has great garden and spacies common space. The owner and the staff are very nice and friendly. We had dinner which was delicious, but tbh a bit overpriced. We also got a massage which was excellent, but again a bit pricey.
The Riad is far from the center of the city (both medina - 20 min by car, 1.5h walking, and new part of the city - 5 min by car, 20 min walking) and you have to get a taxi or use public transportation.
Fatima was a wonderful host, providing a range of services which made our stay at this accommodation phenomenal. From a wonderful breakfast and dinner, to a private tour of the medina with a knowledgeable local guide, I couldn’t recommend this place enough! The hammam spa is a huge plus, providing a morning of relaxation before our journey. The room was clean and spacious, mattress comfortable, an overall lovely home away from home.
Nothing, we loved it all!
The staff we amazing and suggested the best tour guide in all of Fes. Breakfast was above and beyond expectations.
Everything was great.
We loved Fatima’s excellent communication, last minute accommodation of requests, high standards with attention to detail, lovely authentic, charming, decor in excellent condition, & very clean. Many services offered - train station pickup, tours, hammams, and massages on site were wonderful! Tasty breakfasts and delicious, authentic Moroccan dinners prepared on site with all fresh ingredients. Rashid, our driver, and Idris, our tour guide, were delightful, friendly and informative.
We loved everything!
The Riad was beautiful and all of the people who worked there were wonderful. The hammam and massage were amazing. It is not walking distance to the Medina but it is only a 15 minute cab ride away.
Our stay at Riad Raouia was wonderful! The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and so acommodating, especially Rachid! I had a hammam and massage, which were wonderful! We will definitely stay at Riad Raouia when we are back in Fes!
I can't think of a thing!
Beautiful Riad, nice little touches, tea in the garden on arrival, the decor is gorgeous, rose petals on our bed and in bathroom on arrival. Very clean. Location is good if you want to explore the newer side of Fes or like us, just want a good rest before catching a train or a bus from the city.
Feedback I was booked in to stay for one night (a Saturday night) after having flown up from Marrakesh on a flight due to land at 9.10 am. I had contacted the Riad earlier in the week to ask if I could have breakfast before 8.00 am. The response was, unfortunately, to the negative. No they didn't serve breakfast before 8.00 am. Naturally I was disappointed as I was planning to arrange a visit to Chefchaouen on an organised group tour. Ah well, I thought I'll just have to 'bite the bullet' and forego breakfast as I was not prepared to lose half the cost of my accommodation should i har cancelledas a result of this. I must admit, I have not personally encountered any accommodation that has insisted on retaining half of the cost upon cancellation. I should point out that many organised group tours collect from people's accommodation before 8.00 am. Not only that but from an economic perspective, I was paying for a double room with no reductions for single occupancy. Due to the exchange of WhatsApp messages and realising that there was no flexibility available, the accommodation seemed to fare unfavourably compared to my accommodation in Marrakesh (with breakfast at 7 am). I agreed for the Riad's driver to collect me from the airport albeit at a premium cost. I considered this a price worth paying to ensure there were no problems locating the Riad which happened to be tucked away in a quiet residential area with no sign of anything 'touristy' in the immediate area. My fears were confirmed upon checking in that indeed the medina was an hour's walk away and a private guide with a driver was immediately recommended to which I agreed to and a day's guiding was thus arranged. This arrangement abruptly ended at 3 pm after my guide had checked in with his wife about their lunch arrangements. I did ask him surely there might be somewhere else we could visit.

The place is very nicely remodeled with an excellent spa service. We recommend both the scrub & message. It was very good. Our room was clean & spacious. Just be aware that it’s quite a distance from old town if that’s important to you. It is not a riad, but a beautifully rejuvenated villa. There are a few nice cafes about a 10 min. walk away. The owner is extremely kind and considerate.
Beautiful decor, very comfortable rooms and nice outdoor seating area. On site parking is very convenient.
Neighborhood is not convenient to the medina and does not feel safe for walking to go eat in the evening. Room was right off the reception and you hear everything from above and outside….made for short sleeps. Was unable to book in at the spa/hammam (my reason for booking here) which was disappointing-due to me being the only one wanting to use it. Breakfast is basic offering a variety of breads, cakes, and coffee or tea.
Authenticity and hospitality. Fatima and Rachid delivered a once in a lifetime experience
Fatima Rachid and their staff blew my mind....I saw more than I could have ever imagined in the 9 days I stayed...in total comfort..they took amazing care of me...I am an older woman, travelling solo...I had no previous tours booked...they delivered..Fatima is the warmest caring host and Rachid must be the best driver I have ever experienced, he never lost his cool in the traffic...I felt totally safe...he also has a great sense of humour...the Hammam experience was also incredible ...I will miss them...and Morocco...place and people will be forever in my heart...thank you..❤🙏
We stayed in Fes at the start of April, and have been travelling since, hence the delay. The hotel was an experience, from the delicious breakfast, to the welcome with mint tea, to the extraordinary Hammam spa but most of all the wonderful staff. The location was brilliant for anyone with a car, we parked just outside in a quiet street that terminated at the hotel. We arrange a guide and taxi to the Medina, Rachid our guide was wonderful.
Nothing, it was a tremendous couple of days
Fahtima really cares that her guests enjoy her luxuriously appointed Riad and that we make the most of our time in Fez. She can arrange all sorts of tours and her guides are very knowledgeable and their english is excellent. The food provided is delicious and authentic. Having a Hamam and/or masseur available in the riad really makes it authentically Moroccon. Very very quiet location and a very restful place to call home for a while.
We liked it all!
The riad was comfortable and the location was convenient, with free parking space. The neighborhood was quiet and safe.
While the layout of the property was excellent, the facilities were a bit old, in need of repairs or even renovation. Breakfast was good but the girl serving it appeared lack of training, which could be the reason why the process appeared slow and sloppy. The owner would do herself a service by laying down basic rules and procedures for the staff to follow, acompanied with some basic training.
The staff was helpful. You can eat a very good dinner on the premises if you order in advance. Beautiful traditional decor and very quiet.
A little far from the Medina - you have to catch a petite taxi to go out to the different sites, cheap, but sometimes hard to flag down.
Fatima the owner and her brother Rachid, were lovely people who made our stay very enjoyable. All the staff were very happy and friendly. Fatima arranged two trips for us which were excellent and Rachid was a very good safe friendly driver, also the trip to the medina was made special by our guide Idriss, who was a fountain of knowledge. We had delicious breakfasts on the lovely terrace, and the Moroccan diner we had was absolutely fabulous. The Riad is very traditional and the rooms were spectacular, and very clean, and plenty hot water in the shower. also very good Wii. Everything about this Riad is worth a visit and I would stay there again.
no complaints
Warm and friendly welcome, great food including breakfast and beautiful garden, beautiful decorations in room and whole house. Would stay again.
Hotel is the most beautiful Riad I stayed in Morocco. Attention was made to all the details with perfection in mind. The grounds are well manicured with orange, lemon trees which were in full bloom with heavenly scents . Fatima the owner goes extremely out of her way to please all the guests from their required food likes and dislikes for breakfast to their possible allergies. I requested from Fatima to arrange for our visit to the Medina and the exploring of Fes. This is a solid 5 star place with only a 3 star price. I would stay there again and again Perfection in everything
