There are only a few reviews since it’s a boutique hotel, but we were truly impressed by the location, design, and cleanliness. We were very happy with everything during our stay. The rooms were spotless, spacious, with high ceilings and modern decor. The breakfast was also more than sufficient and had a good variety. We traveled with our 3-year-old daughter and stayed for 8 nights. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish, and well-located place to stay.

Localização foi o ponto que mais gostei. Conforto do quarto. Silêncio. Não houve qualquer ruído durante nossa estadia. Gentileza da equipe, quando estavam disponíveis, dado que chegavamos do passeio mais tarde e já não havia pessoas para nos atender.

De ter sido pega de surpresa com a taxa da cidade. Ganho em real, e de repente, aparece uma dispesade 85 Euros, na hora de ir embora. Foi bem desagradável! Antes de reservar o hotel,comparei vários requisitos com concorrentes, e me surpreendi quando fui informada que nem todas as taxas estavam incluídas no The Shire.

Great location, very clean, friendly staff

Breakfast is not plenty, but really it was enough for morning for adults and children. It is a very small hotel in the house. It was surprise. But it became not important very fast cause it is really clean and comfortable.

Clean and stylish. Got upgraded to a suite- spacious. Very comfortable large bed. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Great location! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Rooms were clean. Great value.

Bathrooms were small but typical for European hotels. Beds were firm.

Our stay at The Shire Hotel was truly wonderful and we enjoyed every moment of it. The location on Via Veneto is absolutely perfect, a beautiful and still elegant district full of the spirit of F. Fellini and his famous film La Dolce Vita. Our room was very comfortable and we especially appreciated having the only room with a balcony, thank you for that. The reception staff were always kind, welcoming, and ready to help with anything we needed. Right after our arrival, we received a complimentary bottle of wine, fresh water was regularly replenished, and upon request we were even provided with a kettle and tea. On another day, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary fruit platter. These thoughtful gestures and the genuine care from the staff made our stay in Rome even more memorable. The room was cleaned every day and we highly appreciated the excellent cleanliness. We also had breakfast included and, as people who have travelled extensively around Italy, we found the breakfast selection absolutely sufficient and very tasty. We would also like to mention the large and very comfortable bed. Even though our room faced a busy street, the windows insulated the noise very well and we slept peacefully every night. Thank you for the excellent service and hospitality. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next trip to Rome.

La ubicación. Está en Centro histórico pero retirada del bullicio y las multitudes. Sin embargo se puede llegar a pie a distintos puntos turísticos. Personal muy amable y dispuesto para ayudar. Habitaciones amplias, cómodas y lindo diseño

Podría ser mejor: colocar reposa maletas. Ampliar la variedad del desayuno.

Beautiful location right by the Borghese Gardens in an upscale neighborhood. Quiet area away from the crowds. Friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable rooms on the third floor of an office building. Lots of nice options on the breakfast buffet!

It’s not that close to a subway stop and it’s up a fairly long hill. Could have used a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries and a mirror to see how you’re looking.

The hotel was located in a beautiful and peaceful neighbourhood, one of the most luxurious streets, very safe and the view from the room was on the roman gate and Borghese park, it was nice even to look at it and drink wine in the room. The room was very nice, modern, clean with a big and comfortable bed, cleaning service each day was fantastic. There is a free and late checkout 12pm, and we were able to enter the room around 11am even though it was supposed to be at 3 pm. Breakfast was nice, usual and enough, we enjoyed it. Stuff was very pleasant, there for every of our needs, gave us very good recommendations for the city attractions and restaurants, and each day we were given some small treat as in wine, chocolate, fruit, etc. Everything was fantastic, and if we return to Rome this would be our choice again, for sure.

The location was great, in a really nice part of town and close to metro, buses and hop on hop off tours. Great bar/restaurant below. The room was comfortable but a bit small - great shower. Breakfast was fine, but no hot food Reception really pleasant and helpful and gave us a great tip on an area to visit for restaurants

We stayed at this hotel in August. It seemed liked a nice hotel, even though it’s in a very odd location without a sign saying Hotel Shire. The weather in Rome was extremely hot, so on the first day roaming around we were happy to get back to our air conditioned room. At approximately 2am the air conditioning stopped and we woke up sweating. It was extremely uncomfortable. We went for breakfast, and the coffee machine was not working properly. Then I tried to make toast and the toaster didn’t work. By this time I was really a bit ticked off. The girl at the desk had a major attitude and acted like this was all our fault somehow. The second night, the air conditioning stopped at the same time. Once again it was sweltering outside so we couldn’t even cool off by opening the window. The next morning we told them again about the air conditioning. As they could see we were very upset after two sleepless night’s the hotel offered us two nights the next time we visited. I recently tried to book for April for 4 nights and they tried to charge us an exorbitant amount for the other two nights. We didn’t book it, as the price does not match the quality of the hotel. Wouldn’t stay here again if they paid me at this point.

This hotel is in a wonderful safe district of Rome. It’s a very quaint, quiet boutique style hotel ) I think they have 9 rooms?) we booked the lovely corner room with panoramic views of the Roman Wall. The staff is incredibly accommodating and the breakfast was more than ample (although routine). Many excellent lower cost restaurants within easy walking distance. DO NOT spend your $$ on Crazy Pizza. But do stop for a drink at Harry’s Bar right below the hotel. Easy walking distance to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the American Embassy.

Stanza enorme e pulitissima, personale fantastico e posizione centralissima. Questo hotel è stata una piacevole scoperta, tornerò sicuramente!!

Es MARAVILLOSO ! Todo PERFECTO ! La ubicación , la habitación preciosa y el hotel con una decoración y un gusto exquisito , con pequeños detalles como cuadros ,libros y algún Fornasetti ❤️. El desayuno genial con gran variedad y Giulia que nos recibió una maravilla 🥰atenta y disponible además de que habla español . Sin duda repetiremos . Un gusto encontrar sitios así y encontrarse tan buen además de que las fotos en booking corresponden totalmente a la realidad . Limpieza perfecta , cama muy cómoda y grande , vistas en la habitación y tranquilidad en la zona .

Hotel con mucho encanto, felicitaciones a los propietarios! A tan solo 10 metros de la boca del metro , en un barrio tranquilo y con buenos restaurantes. Nos ha encantado el hotel, habitaciones super cuidadas y con una decoración exquisita , cama super cómoda y desayuno estupendo! Cuando volvamos a Roma volveremos, y recomendaré a mi amigos y familiares este hotel , pues merece mucho la pena! La suite es un espectáculo con unas vistas preciosas y super cómoda! Las trabajadoras super amables y con buena predisposición! Nos aconsejaron restaurantes donde cenar que estaban muy bien.

Siamo stati benissimo, io e mio marito. Il personale è stato davvero gentilissimo, sempre disponibile e attento a ogni esigenza. Anche mio fratello si è trovato molto bene: inizialmente aveva una camera in una posizione un po’ più nascosta, ma gli è stato offerto gratuitamente un upgrade con una stanza bellissima, allo stesso prezzo. Un gesto molto apprezzato che dimostra grande professionalità e attenzione verso gli ospiti. Struttura curata, ambiente accogliente e ottima organizzazione. Di sicuro torneremo anche quest’anno. Consigliatissimo!

No one is at the reception when we arrived , we waited long and up to our check out ., again no one is in the reception area. We wanted to be early so as not to miss the flight..but the personnel that must be at the hotel reception is always missing!

Vicinanza all’ambasciata Usa ed in generale alle attrazioni principali di Roma. Ottima colazione e staff molto gentile.

Segnalo solamente che a mio avviso non era stata effettuata una pulizia accurata della camera, al mio arrivo ho trovato diversi capelli lunghi in bagno e nella doccia (io ho i capelli corti)

I was surprised to find that the desk wasn’t staffed 24 hours but luckily arrived and departed when it was. Also, it was a bit noisy as our room was located just above Harry’s Bar.

The hotel is cute and has a nice ubicación, can walk Via Vittorio easy, lots of restaurants around and bus and taxis. El hotel give you breakfast included and was very good. The staff very nice and helpful. It’s a really good option.

En i personalen var inte lika service inriktad… Hon hann inte med att hålla efter borden på frukosten så vi o övriga gäster fick duka själva + fylla på vatten i kaffemaskinen.

We had a wonderful stay at The Shire. It is a small boutique hotel. When you first arrive it can be a bit confusing. They do not have a obvious front to the hotel. Just a small sign on the side of the door next to Harry's Restaurant. If you arrive after hours press the button to be let in. Take the lift to the 1st froor. We had the large suite in the corner above Harry's. It was very comfortable. It could use a few more pieces of seating furniture in the bedroom and luggage stands, but that is minor. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was comparable to most European breakfasts. I would definitely stay there again the next time I'm in Rome.

Exceptional staff, helpful and engaging. Hotel is elegant and sophisticated, rooms beautifully appointed. We arrived earlier than check-in and, while there is no lobby in which to wait, we were able to leave our luggage at the welcome desk and go for lunch at a nearby restaurants. There are ample walking opportunities in the park a block away. This was our first stay at this hotel but will not be our last. Highly recommend.

Excellent quieter location in City but very convenient for accessing other areas. Lovely bright room overlooking ancient wall with a very large bed and good shower. All supported by exceptionally helpful staff.

Kameralny, butikowy hotel z eleganckim wystrojem. Położny w spokojnej okolicy. 20-30 minut spacerem do głównych atrakcji. Personel bardzo pomocny i przyjazny.

Small rooms, but modern and updated. I wish they had a luggage rack. That’s probably my only complaint - as you get older, you kinda don’t want to bend down on the floor to unpack . They also have a lift / elevator so that was helpful !!! it is very small so there will be climbing the steps to get the second floor, which is where all the rooms are located and the breakfast was a typical European continental. (Many of the old hotels do not have lifts .) I don’t think this hotel has been here very long as most Everything looked pretty new -very safe location as well. It’s actually a more expensive part of town and several of the tour guide and other locals commented as such. That’s not why I booked it, but I did book it based on other people’s recommendations regarding how safe it was and now I know why. La bruschetta is a very casual restaurant nearby on one of the side streets and it was very good. We ate there several times super casual and quite inexpensive.

We liked pretty much everything about our stay. The room was clean, AC worked well, the free breakfast was quite good and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. In the evening the area around hotel was quiet and we always felt safe.

The only issue we had was the AC would not cool the room and the elevators are very tiny

Breakfast was so so. Location near the Pincian Gate on the Via Venato was good.

No hot breakfast items as expected for a boutique hotel.

A happy stay for us! We had to reject our first booking at the Spanish Suites upon arrival — we'd been totally fooled by their photos on booking.com, so quickly booked the Shire and they greeted us an hour later. Only 8 rooms at The Shire, all on the 1st floor, all exactly as presented online and tastefully decorated. Super clean, super welcoming, perfect AC, plenty of space, perfectly quiet and restful, and a very useful location for getting around Rome.

We really appreciate The Shire Hotel transferring us to an amazing nearby hotel due to an A/C issue they had right before we arrived. We were welcomed by The Shire staff and escorted to the new hotel. We felt taken care of and that is what mattered most in those moments after travelling long distances to reach Rome.
