Clean and spacious room and friendly staff. Will stop again,😁
Good location good price and good customer service
The ladies at the reception were kind and helpful. It is a clean, decent and simple place for a short stay. I enjoyed my night.
Room was fine, all the necessary facilities were available. Reception service was friendly and helpful.
Shops nearby
It would be great if there were mini fridge and microwave.
Fair price, very friendly and helpful reception staff. But our room had a bad drains smell, and the WiFi was not working in our room. Not the worst place I’ve stayed, but I won’t be staying again
Very lovely staff. Clean room. But terrible noise from the road all night
The property was located in a quiet area of the city and was clean
My main problem was cleanliness the bed sheets look like they had not been changed in ages there was yellow stains all over the toper and it was just not nice ive took pictures of it all cuz it was not nice at all
.
For the price you can’t complain it’s a bed a roof heating tv hot shower what more can you ask for?
Service on reception was great, couldn’t do enough for me. Room was very hot but it was a very hot day
Checked in early evening, receptionist was friendly and advised that the hotel is only manned between certain hours (3pm to 11pm I think). Room was fairly clean if a little worn. Bed was ok, mattress was too soft and pillows not particularly thick. Room was very warm but a fan was provided for cooling which was much needed. The real problem hit in the morning when I attempted to have a shower. The water was scalding hot. After messing with it for a good 10 minutes I learned that I could only make it hotter, not colder. It was so hot that I couldn’t even splash myself with it to have a decent wash. Called reception and they were closed - obviously, nobody works here outside of check in hours. Complained to both the hotel and hotels.com and asked to be refunded/compensated for the inconvenience but was fobbed off.
Room was very clean, bathroom was very small but it had a really good shower.
Staff are really friendly and very helpful rooms are lovely and clean and beds are very comfortable supplied with plenty of fresh towels and room for all your belongings and the restaurant has amazing food lots of choice and good value for money and cooked fresh this is my 3rd visit and will continue to stay
Just a basic hotel for a cheap stay, room was clean enough, reception ser ice was excellent
It’s a nice enough hotel, but not suited for people without a car It’s 2 + km. from the train station & and a long walk to town for restaurants. There is a small cafe next door with coffee , burgers & Indian Rice . No wi-fi in up stairs room.
Its a nice property
Great place to stay, warm welcome and very friendly staff. The place was clean and tidy.
Room was clean and tidy. Staff upon arrival were friendly and helpful. The restaurant attached to the hotel was amazing... great food at a decent price. My only issue was there was no where to get bottled water or anything else regarding food or drink or snacks ect... after 8.30 when the restaurant closed. Maybe a vending machine would be a good idea or have something available at reception.
The Room was comfortable and service was good
This Hotel is in a very quiet part of Leicester but very close to the city. A nice relaxing hotel with good rooms at great value with tea and coffee .
It was ok the two people on reception that I spoke to were both very friendly, the hotel is a little tired but is OK if you just want a bed for a night or two so it served its purpose for me.
Room was very clean. Was as described. Bathroom small and shower not very hot on first morning. No staffed reception to report to. Was fine on day 2. Room was very clean.
Great for what I needed
Which room you pick makes a difference here with some of the rooms having no windows. To boot the internal rooms oddly have non-opening windows out onto the hallway. Mine had a privacy peel on it - on the corridor side!!! This was peeling off at the corners. On the plus side it did have usb (A) sockets by the bed, which weren't broken likely as they are below the bedside shelf and so out of sight. Not that bad but as per cheaper hotels like Travelodge and Ibis no room turn-down etc unless requested I suppose. Not much in the way of facility on site. Attached eatery don't take orders at the table or run an order to pay at the end. The upstairs terrace is inaccessible so smoking only out the front in rhe rain. Cheaper than most places mind. Only really handy for the park
I had to wait until the receptionist returned from a shopping trip. She made sevral points before being told that I had been upgraded at no extra cost ang giving me the keycard. The room had a double bed which occupied nearly the . whole room. To access the shower one had to close the door. To fill the kettle one had to use a cup as the kettle would not fit under the tap. I wonder what my original room would have been like
It was great to stay at this property I had good sleep .
Faqir Lashari , it was great place to stay
This was a great room for 3, all linen was really clean and brilliant white, it was nice to have a fridge, but didn’t use it and shower gel was provided. The only downside is that it spelt of weed in the corridor which was not very nice.
The pro: Convenient walking distance to the national space center with friendly staff with clean rooms. Cons: sadly let down by being worn down with multiple damaged items in the room and in the room that I stayed in missing blackout curtains that were very much needed as the LED street light made it like trying to sleep with the light on. This along with the noise from the main road made getting a good nights sleep difficult.
Perfect location, lovely hotel, only problem i would say is the mattress was not comfortable a little springy.
Great overnight stay ! Clean, convenient and friendly staff - can’t ask for more !
Remote wouldn’t work for the TV and shower room space was smal
Very clean rooms , it was warm for the cold days during our stay and it was value for money for what you get!
Good location for the space centre- 15 min walk. Linen was nice, bed was comfortable, generous tea and coffee. Significant wear and tear, mirror brokem, doors chipped. Needs some TLC. Also stained wall that could be cleaned in 10 moms.
Lovely stay! Good size rooms, clean, and have all the amenities needed. Some small things though - stains on walls in rooms, and entrance/reception area could do with a re-vamp. Overall great value!!
Really nice friendly place with everything you need
Cold water in the shower ( tap water with hot water, but almost cold in the shower), mattress hard. No blinds to help to cut the lights in the morning.
The hotel location is at the side of a very busy road... We had a front facing room so your head is about 4 feet from the vehicles! It is noisy and we didn't sleep well. The room was very tired, very small and the bathroom was tiny. The bed is very small and doubt it is a proper double size. The reception isn't manned all the time so difficult to report any issues. The room was not serviced at all during our three night stay. They say any port in a storm but it would have to be an apocalyptic one to get us through the door again!
Great friendly staff … nice place to stay
Walking distance to city centre, peaceful and excellent customer service
Too much small Riom for 1 person Toilet & bathroom tiny condition ( too much small- not satisfied
The hotel is well-located for the city centre and Abbie Park and appears to be in relatively good, modern condition. Check in was slow and required a £100 deposit (I was surprised as this isn't usually a requirement and especially not in such a budget establishment). The management appears to be a big fan of paper notices, warnings and instructions - there are instructions littering the whole hotel and it's far too much to read! All the instructions on the walls tend to make the hotel feel quite bossy and intimidating which I'm sure wasn't its intention as the staff were quite friendly. The room was small but comfy with an interior window, fan and double bed with white bedding. The shower room was tiny - but clean and well maintained. Overall a generally positive experience with a few little tweaks needed to make it feel more welcoming.
Room was too small for two people
It was clean and staff was very lovely too
Overall, it was very nice, especially in terms of customer service. Farhana was really helpful throughout.
Was nice
We had a ground floor room we couldn’t open the window because the security lock had been cut so we couldn’t leave the window open at night and the room was hot . The side shelves on the bed were too close to the bed as I turned over as I was asleep I cracked my head and it cut it making me bleed the staff when they were there were helpful but rarely available, it was clean and tidy but the rooms look nothing like the photos shown and I paid for an upgrade from an economy room but if that was an upside hate to of seen the economy room
A message for North American travellers, this is not a hotel, a motel at best. I'm told that this is typical of places at this price point, but the bed had no support nor any padding for comfort. Opening windows lets in mosquiots. Shower only has extremely hot water. mini refrigerator does not get cold. brining your bag up the narrow, winding stairs is a challenge.
Very basic, no food or drink facilities, reception not inviting.
Straightforward easy to stay hotel, no frills but clean and warm, good hot shower, comfy bed, friendly and helpful staff. We had no complaints, have stayed before and would stay again.
The rooms were a disgrace, fittings hanging from walls exposing wording, no hot water available, walls and bed stained, we left and booked into Hilton and lost our money. Nothing like the photo’s
Hotel dated and worn. Clean enough, but things missing/not working/broken.
I stayed in a economy room which was great very comfy and better than some hotels best rooms.Just no window to the outside .But a window to a corridor .But because modern light was good
Very basic hotel, receptionist not the greatest. Value for money, pretty poor. Diubt woukd stop again. Room Was clean.
Very cramped and stuffy
Not good
Some dodgy people about
Great customer service
The receptionist is absolutely amazing and friendly. Room is exceptionally clean. Could have been better if there was a hair dryer :) The tap water tastes a bit rusty. Bring your own bottled water.
Overall a very nice stay. Only concer
It was it simple and easy, the receptionist was really lovely and helpful in terms of parking and wifi!!
The room was clean and comfortably decorated, and had all the expected facilities. Everything in the room worked fine. But it was rather too hot, by virtue of it being an internal room with no window (which I knew when I booked). My stay was in January, so I guess the room would be stiflingly hot in summer. The location is not good. It's on a busy main road on the edge of a retail park, so there are no local shops, pubs or community. It's a bit too far from the city centre to be convenient, and it's not a nice walk to and from town, especially at night.
Would not recommend hotel, better alternatives available in Leicester, which much better customer service.
There is no set times for reception and there was no number to call if there was a problem - at least none visible to us. We had to plead the young man’s humanity to allow us to leave the luggage there while we killed time waiting for someone to arrive on reception, which we were told was 3 pm. So they expected 4 adults and an infant to walk around town In the rain ( it was pouring rain) with luggage in tow. My initial search criteria had a requirement of refrigerator and luggage hold. To make matters worse there was a leak in the room and the moldy smell caused us to leave a day earlier.
By far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We were scared for our lives all night. For 4 hours, we heard a man screaming and pleading for his life as he was being beat up. Men were banging the doors as they entered and leaving the rooms. I believe the issue here is that this hotel has no night receptionist/staff. Local drunkards are aware of this and must use this hotel to get up to no good at night. It shocks me that for most of the day there is no staff in the building. The room we got had no window but a window looking into the hallway. The was a odd smell and the shower room was extremely small. The last point i could have looked over if it wasn't for the violence we overheard all night. We left as soon as we felt it was safe to do so.
The hotel is on a busy main road, and parking is on the street just around the corner. I had a single room which was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, the reception was first class and the whole hotel looks as though it has had a complete makeover inside. Excellent value for money.
The staff were friendly and let us use the staff parking at the front of the hotel. They even let us in an hour early. The room on first inspection looked clean, modern and well presented. The reception desk is only manned from 3pm till 7pm. Unfortunately when we returned to the room to go to bed we pulled back the sheets and found lots of small browny/red marks on the bedding. At that time (9pm) there were no staff manning the reception desk and nobody answering the telephone number. All i wanted was a set of clean sheets. We slept the whole night on top of the duvet as there was no way to get the clean sheets. I notified the receptionist on check out who told me that the manager would be informed and would be in touch with us later that day but i have received no contact to date.. i will attach a picture of the sheets so you can make up your own mind as to whether the sheets had been changed or not and as to what the stains were.
There was no car park, we had a window into a corridor which had censored lights so everytime someone walked past our room lit up and woke us up, even with the blind down. We paid £95 for this and the tiniest room, it was so small the bathroom door wouldn’t even open all the way. All night we were woken up by other people screaming, playing music and knocking on doors
The hotel is fine, staff friendly. No internet, kept saying it was going to be fixed
Everything about the hotel from staff to cleanliness spot on Keep up the good work Fazana who remembered me from a few years back. Will defo return when in Leicester. Thank you for looking after me.
It looked like it was recently refurbished, the room was clean although a little small for a double room. there is no restaurant at the hotel and very little places around the area to eat
Terrible. Prison cell like room. Doors slamming, noisy, loud music left early as was concerned for our safety.
Told to park in side street, no spaces at all, no window room but blind over interior window let hallway light in, shower flooded bathroom, had to ask for towels, bed creaked every time you moved, fan in room was useless, sorry but I wouldn’t stay there again!
Great help the receptionist was helpful had extra coffee and clean affordable pleasant stay would recommend nice inside premise
Is good frankly staff well done
worst night sleep or no sleep
Easy place to stay while visiting family. Staff friendly and very helpful. Room upgraded so plenty of space for us. Would recommend as good value. Happy to come back next time we need to stay.
Hotel was great a little paint here and there wouldn't go a miss but all in all 10 stars.
It’s clean and neatly refurbished, modern interiors. The staff are very helpful.
Very uncomfortable, Becouse The room was extremly small,
The welcome was sincere, the outward building appearance was unkempt, no on site parking but free on road parking. No food facilities on site. Room basic and clean, bed very comfortable. Interior decor has been painted brilliant white throughout, but various dirty marks on walls. Carpets new but not finished on edges. In-room safe inoperative (reported to reception) Not enough tea bags for 2 people.
Hotel comfortable and clean but stay ruined by water not being available for shower or sink in the morning. As there is now reception cover there was no one to complain to.
Nice room, woman on reception incredibly helpful with taxis and suggestions for great places to eat in local area. Only downfall was no car park. Only option was to park on a side road or park in car park behind hotel with possibility of £100 fine. Otherwise nice place.
Clean room, good value for money. Window into corridor means every time corridor light flicks on at night it shines through into the room. Very loud and drunk guests on the second night, well into the early morning hours. No hotel staff around between 10pm and 10am means that there's no one to address noise/other concerns at night or early morning.
The room was very comfortable however the light in the hall way kept coming on intermittently waking me up and then stayed on making my room really light even with the blind down.
I'll start with the good bits the room was clean and comfortable and good value, however the area is poor and it's on a very busy noisy road, parking is round the corner and not secure, the wi-fi wasnt very good, the guy on the desk wasnt helpful and refused to accept that I had a booking so I had to ring hotel.com to resolve it when he suddenly found my details. Also as I approached the hotel door there guy snapped " what do you want " at me, although I told him I was checking in his attitude changed.
I visited recently for a single night stay on a business trip. Overall not a bad stay but just wanted to point out a couple of things. The hotel was VER hot when I walked in and my room was even hotter. I was given a fan to help with this however there wasn’t any air con and it didn’t help a great deal. The road outside is extremely loud when the window is open to let fresh air in. The hotel manager Jani was very pleasant
Friendly people nice room
The hotel direction were not correct. It took an half hour to get there. It keep sending us in U turn even though the hotel was just round the corner. When we got in the reception was friendly. We were directed to the room it was like a long corridor of prisoners cells. The rooms have NO NATURAL LIGHTING. How that is legal?. There were 2 ventilation fans 1in the roomand bathroom. It was 28 degree temperatures out side summer night. We had 1 dusty old fan when it was turned on it blew dust all over the room, bed and our clothes. At night on body is at reception until 10 am so can't complain. We were instructed to drop the card in the letter box. The shower water was very hot can't adjust to cooling temperatures. I recommend that hotel. Com visit this place and take it on their website. I would like my money back holiday inn is much more better.
