Friendliness of staff on checking in.

Not many options for breakfast especially the cold buffet and had to ask a number of times for items to be restocked. We also had to wait for tables to be cleared and cleaned on Saturday morning. The bed was small and uncomfortable and the room smelled strongly of urine so had to keep windows open

Beliggenheten er bra, midt i sentrum, kort vei fra jernbanestasjonen. Det som er mindre bra er at jeg fortalte resepsjonen om at lampen på bordet i rommet ikke virket, De svarte at de ville se på det dagen etter, men det skjedde aldri. Det er uheldig.

Air conditioning kept turning off so woke in the night really hot. Also there was a lot of noise outside, which we could hear on the 6th floor.

I had a good stay here. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with a really comfy bed and a good TV with plenty of programmes to watch. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was great and convenient. I didn’t end up having breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and honestly couldn’t find anything I didn’t like. I would stay here again.

The towels and bedding were adequate but didn't feel luxurious, it is a good value hotel but maybe more generously sized towels and softer pillows might help

Bathroom was dirty and there are water stains on the bathroom ceiling. I paid for a breakfast which was basically inedible. Uncooked and cold. At 8 oclock in the morning. Also parking charges at the site are exhorbitant.

Nothing — the room was unclean, unhygienic, and not fit for my family. No cot was provided despite being requested in advance.

Checked in at 6pm — the room smelt strongly of urine and was unclean. I requested a cot for my young child in advance but none was provided. I returned at 11pm from a wedding and told the manager I couldn’t stay — but I had my elderly disabled mother and two young children with me, nowhere safe to go at that hour. The duty manager agreed the room was unsuitable and confirmed a full refund in person on 24th Aug — yet the hotel has ignored me and refused to process it. Unhygienic, unprofessional, and unacceptable.

The size of the room was excellent and easy to find. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent.

The AC didn't work, neither did the TV. The sheets on the bed were too small and the mattress was very hard.

I was expecting a better bed but met small double which to me is not good enough for couples. The shower gel in the room was not filled which could be viewed as the room not attended to before checking time.

Got bitten in night, they came colkected bug next day ! Bed was like board The air con was stuck on low , 15 ! Had to have heating on hottest night of year ! No rooms left to to swap too, next day moved room , bed too hard but they brought me extra bedding ! Bus still not useful , too high to get on bed , Slept 2nd night in my reclining wheelchair ! Shocking !!! 2nd night had more bites ! Rang hotel every day as they promised refund , say manager will ring me back to no avial ! HELP

Room was was very tired and needs a refurbishment. Chunks out of the desk, scuffs on the wall. Floor was dirty. Got in the shower and had no shower gel, so had to ring reception for more.

Excellent stay, chose for an event at Athena - closest place I’ve ever said to an event! Brilliant walking distance and position and Parking availability! And great Aircon and blackout curtains in our 38° heatwave!

A comfortable modern hotel in the heart of Leicester, convenient for its many pubs and restaurants. Not too far from the railway station and convenient for all local buses, in my case to Grace Road cricket ground.

The hotel was the most expensive in central Leicester and a little overpriced for what it was. The room wasn't huge and the double bed would have been on the small side if my wife had been travelling with me. In essence you are paying for the location. Not recommended for guests coming by car as the car parks nearby are extremely expensive. Breakfast was OK but the selection would become quite boring if staying for more than a couple of nights.
