Beds are comfortable, clean bathroom, nice staff.

Kitchen was nice but some people didn’t clean their mess. Even so it was nice.

Just the kitchen was abit paru was abit of violence I herid from some of the other tenants but overall was a good stay just kept to my self

We booked two bunks in a 6 bunk dorm, it was great for an overnight stay and early departure. Also, we were lucky since no one else came into the room, which ment we could actually try to sleep without others snoring loudly. The receptionist was great in showing me all the details and answers to questions I had. The communal kitchen is fully equipped, and with adequate seating, fridge space. The lounge/living room was great too. Showers and toilets were good. Other guests are quite friendly too and are chatty.

We heard a lot of noise coming from the main road, but this was a minor issue really, as we still got enough rest.

Cocina super amplia. El personal muy amable. Hay muchos lugares para estacionar tu auto. Cuando fui, la mujer de la recepción me dio una habitación para mi solo, porque habían pocas personas hospedadas, fue un buen gesto.

El baño estaba un poco sucio, y aveces no se podía encender la luz. En la cocina no habian muchas ollas y sartenes.

The size of the sink to wash face in the bathroom is small but other than that everything’s really good

This is my second time staying here. Every time I visit Ninety Mile Beach, I have to stay at this place. It’s very close to the beach, and you can also go to Cape Reinga Lighthouse to watch the sunset. I absolutely love this place — I’ve been here three or four times already. This is our second stay at this hotel, and we’re very happy. The rooms come in a variety of options. For example, some units have two bedrooms with up to six beds, which is perfect for a group of six adults. That’s really great.

The beds were good and the room was quite big. Also the kitchen was big and well equipped

The lady in the reception wasn't very enthusiastic. Also the kitchen was very dirty, lots of bugs and they closed up the kitchen and the hotel during the night. The village is very quiet and no restaurants after 7p.m.

Great stay, they have an amazing wharenui with some beautiful big tree beams holding it up. Chilled vibes, good place to meet people.

Enjoyed the lounge and pool table - was a nice area to unwind after a long day.

No place to charge my phone - but was no biggie as had a portable battery charger.

The location and flexible parking spots

Some are not tidy in the kitchen. Didn't have space for our kitchen/food stuff because the fridge and freezer are almost full. We understand anyway because those were the peak days.

The room was okay and there was plenty of space to cook.

The room was basic and there wasn’t much else to it. The swimming pool is a bit of a joke.

The bedrooms were clean, but there was only power outlet in the room. Parking was available.

The kitchen and bathroom areas were not clean I thought. There were a lot of outdated products in the fridge, no sharp knives and clean towels.

Water was dripping from the ceiling, only my bed was infested with fleece, others in the same room didn't have this issue. Wi-Fi exists but was not usable.

We stayed at Beachcomber Lodge & Backpacker in Kaitaia and had a very pleasant experience. We stayed in a shared 6-bed dorm, and the room was clean and well maintained. The bathrooms and toilets were shared, which is standard for this type of accommodation. We especially liked the large, well-equipped kitchen. It was very spacious and had all the necessary kitchen utensils, with several sinks, multiple stoves, and plenty of fridges, which made cooking very convenient even when the hostel was busy. There was also a spacious common lounge area with books and board games, as well as table tennis and a pool table, which was a great bonus for relaxing in the evenings. Free parking was available on the hostel grounds, which was very convenient for those traveling by car. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and overall the hostel offered a comfortable stay with good facilities and a nice atmosphere. A solid choice for budget travelers in Kaitaia.

The bunk bed in the shared room had a broken ladder on the top bunk, which made some noise when I climbed down while others were sleeping. Also, the kitchen and common lounge are closed at night, so access is limited during late hours.

Ich wünschte eine Umbuchung, was ohne Probleme gemacht wurde. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist deshalb gut, weil hier die Intercity bus Linie endet. Gut dass es hier eine Unterkunft gibt.

Survive is so good

Good sized room. The facilities were cleaned regularly and to a good standard. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious.

The mattress on the bunks were a little bit uncomfortable.

Someone took my bed and people bn noisy after 11pm

La propreté n’était pas au rendez vous dans les lieux communs (surtout les douches, et la cuisine). C’était bruyant et avec la mauvaise isolation la nuit était compliquée…

Staff very friendly. Plenty of parking. Room was nice and quiet.

Almost everything, great people and value for money was decent. The rooms are nice and I was even upgraded.

Only slight gripe was that the room backed onto a property that had a heap of very loud dogs that were mostly fine but occasionally fired up
