Nice little hotel. Within walking distance of shopping and dining. Staff was very nice and very helpful. Room was nice. Don’t forget to ask for slippers and toothbrush. Not in the room but provided once you ask. Don’t expect a big breakfast buffet but was very satisfying. And again friendly staff. Will definitely stay again next time I visit.

This is my first trip to CDO. I had planned to stay at one of the two larger hotels but one was closed for renovation and the other was fully booked. So, I selected the 1A Express Hotel based on Travelocity Reviews and I have been pleasantly surprised. Here are some positives - Excellent front desk staff, very friendly, helpful and professional. They also have strong English communication skills - Comfortable bed, with decent bed linens - Very good Internet/WiFi - Nice workspace/desk - Bathroom is well designed and I like the non-slip flooring in the shower. The water pressure in the shower is not great, but it’s ok - The wall air conditioner works very well and has intuitive controls. It’s also relatively quiet for a wall unit - The refrigerator works well. Note, they leave it unplugged to save energy, so if you want to use it plug it in when you arrive. - Unlike many local hotels they have an elevator and it is quick, quiet and smooth - laundry service is Available and very reasonable. I had a bag of laundry done for about $5.50 USD. Now, be aware this is not a luxury hotels Hiwever, it is a clean, comfortable well maintained hotel. Honestly, on my next trip here, I will probably choose this hotel again, we’ve if the Margery more luxury hotels are available because I have been so impressed with the staff here

First time in Cagayan de Oro with my family and definitely this hotel is the best to go. Centrally located between two malls where you can dine, shop and do your groceries. The rooms are spacious, very clean with complete toiletries. Fast WiFi even in the rooms. Their complimentary breakfast got some good variety of foods to start your day. The staffs are very professional, friendly and helpful with our needs. From the security, to the front desk, dining room and cleaning staff are very attentive. Highly recommended!

Though the booking process is some what like difficult but the accommodation pays it off. Bathroom is so clean as well as the whole place from the lobby to the room. The food served is healthy and sumptuous. Accessible to SM and Centrio just a few steps away. Thank u for making our stay relaxing.

Breakfast is good. Staff were very nice. However, the internet was pretty slow. Towels are not desirable. They are old and need to be replaced.

Upon checkin, A1 surprised me of their P1,000 incidental damage deposit policy. This information is completely hidden and not published in booking.com. Reception staff Irish was so adamant in implementing this “policy” to me which I firmly challenged. A lot of communication exchange happened before staff realized that customer was right and ended with waiving off the deposit policy. The amount is significantly small but to me, transparency is important. They also offer breakfast but with very less options.

Good location and great staff. Also very clean! Price wise, its not worth the 100usd per night rate, breakfast is mediocre. If the price were about 60usd then it would be perfect.

The hotel has always provided clean, comfortable rooms with the staff friendly and helpful at all times. Food is great at banquets/meetings, although breakfast is very limited. Internet is reliable. The location is also superb! No need to worry to get your gastronmy fix even at late night with a convenient store just outside the hotel door.

Big and clean room.

The price is too expensive - comparably to Seda and Limket Luxe when the food and service and even hotel is not at par with the two. Food is so limited in choices and so small venue for eating. It is only 3 star and so expensive to stay in. For good service and value of money, would rather stay in Seda and Limketkai Luxe Hotel. This is the problem in CDO, the hotels are too expensive and one can't get good service and food to its value. Cebu, Bacolod and Iloilo are way better than CDO.

If you want the auditory experience of being in Times Square, this is the place. The word loud does not even cover this place. On the positive, this property is smack between two malls. It does not get more centralized than this in C.D.O.

The facility is clean and the staff is excellent. The only downside is it can be a little noisy from other guests in the hallway. I would definitely stay again.

Location was excellent. Not quite the most quality breakfast of a continental breakfast that was supposed to be included. I would recommend eating out if possible.

It was a great stay, family in one room hard to find rooms that big in this city.

At the lobby/reception- we were welcomed from the point we took our luggage out of the cab. Thanks to the man, security personnel who helped us. Checking in was very smooth and all details were well explained by the receptionist. Requested a room with HI-SPEED internet and yes, we were placed in a very cozy room. Room- perfect and amazing; with complete utilities. Clean and with a very comfy ambiance. Breakfast- this is a 4 star breakfast. And, thank you to Amor and Precious for being so accomodating. I was offered with coffee even if the breakfast was over. They offered me to clean the room which I politely declined because I am doing some important stuff. Still, they offered to change my pair of towels and additional utilities for the day. Great service ! Sure will be back here!

Breakfast selection is good. In room food selection is also good. All staff was very friendly.

The room is nice. Excellent location. Friendly staff. Limited parking space. I could have given a 5 star rating. But ... the breakfast dining system should be improved. The filling up of food took long time so we ended up to wait long to get more food. There should be a continuous filling up of food so guests don't have to wait so long.

Was able to check in early, suite was spacious and clean enough. Bathroom more than adequate with a tub, shower area, toilet, and sink. Hot water was ok. Air-conditioning was good and bed was comfy. Pillows, though fluffy, but easily became too flat for my taste -- but that's subjective. Soundproofing was terrible as hotel is only 3 stories high so you could hear the racket from the open air eatery with live band at night across the road, as well as the cars and trucks traversing CM Recto. However what's terrible are the hotel locks. I got LOCKED OUT of my room for MORE THAN AN HOUR! Staff had no way of opening it with their key cards and we had to wait for the head maintenance guy to come with the actual key. They were apologetic but it felt INSINCERE as there was no offer of refund, discount, etc. made to make up for the major inconvenience they caused. They really need to upgrade their digital locks and not use the generic and UNRELIABLE China kind. Only way I'll be checking back here is if my other hotel options are unavailable.

It's like a 4 star hotel at the price of 3. Beds and sheets are comfy and clean. Efficient housekeeping and staff are always prompt and eager to help with any request. We'll definitely stay here again when we visit CDO.

I have stayed in 1A Express many times because of: 1. It is strategically located between SM Downtown and Ayala Centrio, and a few minutes away from Limketkai. 2. It looks like an average hotel from the outside but the inside has a classy touch. 3. The room is spacious and the bed is big and comfortable. 4. Toiletries, laundry bag and slippers are provided, and there is a safety deposit box which is an edge compared to other hotels with the same price range. 5. Breakfast is average. Only a few choices but delicious. 6. Staff are helpful and well-versed. The only setback is that most of their rooms doesn't have a window view. Still, I highly recommend this hotel. It feels like home to me!

It is in the center of Cagayan de Oro. SM and Ayala is a walking distance. Staff are friendly and accomodating. The internet is faaast and reliable. I know I am on vacation but I as able to do a bit of work. So I am very happy. Their bed and pillow are made to absorb stress. I think 60% of my time in CDO was spent sleeping because of this. Overall its nice, affordable and fun!

My family likes their stay

When I booked this hotel at the last minute, I didn't realize we were so close to the shopping malls in the city. This is so convenient because pretty much anything is accessible whenever we would need it. Plus, booking this was a no brainer since they had nice and clean amenities from pictures all over their webpage and other sites. We were able to avail their family suite for a discounted rate. All rooms are with complimentary buffet breakfast, so yey for food. One thing we noticed is how sticky their rice is, even anywhere else in Cagayan. Since we stayed here for 4 nights, we pretty much know their menu. Hahaha. Needs a little more variety but nevertheless you still get your money's worth here. On our last day though, housekeeping seems to have slacked off a little. There was a towel not replaced, new tissue yet to be properly placed on the tissue holder. But still their amenities are very good, looks well maintained or seemingly new.

The location is perfect in between 2 big malls. Public transport is also along this hotel, taxi can be hailed in front. Check in was a breeze, rooms were clean and tastefully designed. Shampoo slippers water and some coffee inside the room were provided. Breakfast was simple but filling. I would recommend and would stay here again if need to go back to CDO.

The hotel is still kinda new and nestled between sm mall, gaisano and centrio. It is also along the main road so transportation is not an issue. Rooms are quiet with plated breakfast. Overall the place is good.

Cagayan de Oro City has always been known to be the City of Golden Friendship and 1A Express Hotel exceeded our expectation. From room accommodation to laundry service to convenience store to cafe to hotel reception, all of their services were superb. My family had a great stay and would definitely recommend them to tourists and locals alike. And oh, you may also book your reservations thru StreetBy. :)

I had a nice stay at 1A Express Hotel. The rooms are great, AC okay, and staff are friendly. Breakfast was also good. The bidet though was a bit “aggressive”. I hope they would change it. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. 💚 #LetsDoThis
