Struttura meravigliosa e staff straordinario. Abbiamo trascorso qui due notti perfette: la camera per quattro persone (due adulti e due bambini) era impeccabile, accogliente e profumata. The property was lovely, comfortable and very clean. The gardens were beautiful and the swimming pool quiet with plenty of shade. The staff are next level, they are all delightful and Rosa, Valentina and Rossana are brilliant hosts and made the stay wonderful. The breakfasts were so good with new local things to eat daily. Our room was cleaned every day and new towels always provided. The location was perfect just a few minutes walk from the centre and a fabulous local little cafe just over the road and a great Pizza restaurant opposite.

Villa Manning Relais superó nuestras expectativas. Un auténtico oasis a pocos minutos a pie de Piazza Tasso, con jardines cuidados, limoneros y un ambiente muy tranquilo pese a estar tan cerca del centro de Sorrento. Las habitaciones, amplias y muy limpias, y el trato del personal en general fue excelente. Pero quien de verdad hizo especial nuestra estancia fue Rosa, encargada del desayuno: siempre pendiente de cada detalle, simpática y cercana desde el primer día. Cada mañana nos recibía con una sonrisa y se aseguraba de que no nos faltara nada, con un desayuno variado y varias propuestas típicas de la zona. Ese cariño y atención personal marcaron la diferencia frente a otros alojamientos. Sin duda volveríamos, y en gran parte por gente como Rosa, que hace que un buen hotel se convierta en una experiencia memorable.

Where to start? 1. Breakfast - amazing! I found it hard to get an idea of what breakfast entailed but all of the reviews were good. Having now experienced it, it’s hard to explain. In the self serve there is cereal (cornflakes and coco pops), cold cuts of meat and cheese, bread (and a toaster) butter, Philadelphia, milk and fruit juices. On your table is a basket containing jams, Nutella, Melba toast. Then, once seated the person on breakfast duty (usually Rosa) brings out a croissant for everyone along with a fresh fruit (different every day), something savoury (again, varies daily) and a sweet tart/cake. You can have eggs any way you like and also fresh coffee. For us Brit’s I’m afraid English breakfast tea is somewhat of a rarity so if you need your tetley I’d suggest taking your own but Rosa’s hand whisked cappuccinos will knock any tea out the park. 2 Location, you are right in the heart of it all. Less than 5 minutes from Corso Italia, 10-15 minutes to the marina, the train station is only 5 minutes away if you can take the stairs but longer if you need a flatter route. There are supermarkets and restaurants right outside the front door. 3 Staff, every one of them a gem. Rosa, if I could package Rosa up and bring her home I would. Her cooking is phenomenal, her parmaggiano is the best thing I’ve ever eaten. She is so knowledgeable about plants, Italian culture, and she’s a natural comedian. She doesn’t speak English but she works google translate like a boss. She tolerated a million questions about Italian cooking culture from my husband and doted on my wee boy. She also does the room cleaning and one day we came back to the room super early because my wee boy was just too hot and tired, she insisted on making sure we had fresh towels and bins and checked in on the wee man the next day (he was just too hot, it was a 37 degree day by 11am). It was touching to see how concerned she was about him.

Unique and beautifully decorated, with an oasis garden and pool. The duplex room was a lovely space for us and our teen daughter. Breakfast was always delicious, served every morning under the pergola by lovely Rosa, who looked after us so well. Location was spot on, so close to the centre, close to so many great restaurants, but the villa and garden felt so serene and quiet in contrast.

Second stay at this wonderful small hotel. The staff are amazing especially the wonderful Rosa and it is an oasis in Sorrento. The breakfasts are wonderful. The garden is beautiful and the rooms very big. Nothing to dislike at all.

Das Personal insbesondere Rossana, Rosa und Valentina waren so freundlich, nett und hilfsbereit. Das liebevolle Frühstück war lecker und abwechslungsreich. Der Garten und Pool sind einfach klasse. Wir haben uns als Familie sehr wohl gefühlt und es wurden alle Wünsche erfüllt. Auch die tollen Tips für das Restaurantund Ausflüge waren großartig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. .

Emplacement excellent à 2 pas du centre mais au calme. Peu de chambre donc atmosphère paisible avec une très belle décoration et jardin magnifique. La piscine est petite mais parfaite pour se rafraîchir. Personnel discret et efficace et très sympathique. La chambre en duplex spacieuse pour 4. Le bon petit déjeuner dans le jardin.

Il manque des placards et le petit déjeuner pourrait être plus varié mais ce sont des détails

Our stay at Villa Manning Relais was truly wonderful. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the town center, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions nearby, making it easy to explore the area on foot. The warm hospitality made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Rosa prepared outstanding breakfasts every morning, with fresh, delicious food. Valentina at the reception was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always happy to assist with recommendations and any questions we had. The owner, Valeria, was also very kind and made us feel like valued guests. The personal attention and genuine care from the entire team created a relaxing and memorable experience. We highly recommend Villa Manning Relais and would gladly stay here again.

The stay was too short.

Villa Manning is in part of a beautiful old building. Our party stayed in three rooms and they were all different but lovely. Everywhere was clean and the rooms were serviced daily. Very peaceful at night. There is a gorgeous mature garden with a small but delightful pool and plenty of places to relax in sun or shade. There are only five rooms so it never feels busy or crowded and it's clear that the staff take real pride in what they do. Valentina and Rossana on reception were responsive to emails before our visit and helped with transport bookings and restaurant recommendations. In person they were equally helpful and very friendly and approachable. Most mornings Rosa made us delicious breakfasts in the garden with a welcoming smile and on the couple of days she was off Felice was a great deputy. Villa Manning is really conveniently sited for the train station and for the main old town area of Sorrento. You can easily walk everywhere within a few minutes. We'll definitely choose to stay again if we are back in Sorrento. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A bit the smell downstairs

The location to the main piazza and train station were great . 5min stroll to both . Our room itself was lovely and the staff were very helpful . The Plunge pool in the garden was a nice way to cool off from a long day visiting places . The jewel in the crown was the lovely smiley Rosa that cooked our breakfast every morning from delights grown in her own garden. ( she isn't the owner or management ) No egg & bacon in sight but some of the most different nicest breakfast we've had.she has a very rustic loving Italian charm that made our stay so authentic (she couldn't speak English and I Italian ) but every morning we had great conversations and recommendations along with her proudness that she had grown my breakfast . All of this under a garden pagoda surrounded by lemon, orange,peach & grapefruit trees . Totally serene, peaceful and so very different . We had a minor mishap on our stay but the owners soon stepped in and found a resolve with consideration and everything within their power to do put it right without having the ability to turn back the clock . So 5starts for them also . Whatever you do don't pass this one by.

Breakfast was fabulous - a different experience everyday and whilst we did not take up the sweet options there was plenty of fresh options and eggs. Location perfect for exploring with the train station just 10 mins away and easy short walk to the centre of Sorrento. Gardens were beautiful and private and peaceful - a really lovely hotel

Nothing we did not like - the house has been restored to a very high standard and the only small note was a lack of storage of you are staying there for a week or more as we were.

The location, the character of the villa, and the facilities are amazing. However, the cherry on top is definitely the staff. We had such a hard time finding a place to stay in Sorrento, and this was a last-minute find, but we feel so lucky to have stayed in this place. I have already recommended this to everyone we know and will definitely be staying here again whenever we return to Sorrento. Special shout out to Rosa, whose breakfast I have missed every morning since we left. She was such a bright light and a genuinely delightful person. Valentina welcomed us during our late arrival however still took the time to show us around the villa, explain how everything works, and offer us her help despite the late hour.

Our stay at Villa Manning was the best experience of our multi-city trip to Italy. Central and walking distance to the heart of Sorrento. Valentina was fabulous. She helped us find restaurants, a boat to Capri, shuttles to and from Naples, a tour guide to Pompeii….so much! The property is gorgeous!

A little gem in the city! Location perfect, just 6 minute walk from the train station, 8 minutes to the centre of town, and seconds from a couple of local restaurants and a small supermarket. Staff team delightful, nothing too much trouble. Garden a beautiful oasis, pool is small but enough for a refreshing dip!

More choice at breakfast would be a bonus, but what is available is fresh and delicious!

When we had to leave, the car was blocked in the garage by someone who didn't leave the key. Fortunately, we managed to get it out and the owners or kind to refund the parking fee.

Close to main shopping and restaurants area and the port and train station. Lovely building and relaxing garden with lemon and orange trees. Swimming pool and outdoor shower with towels provided. Huge room with a view of the sea. Quiet overnight and comfy beds. Very helpful staff.

The villa is like an oasis… fabulous garden and easy walk to everything, without the noise. The room was spacious with every amenity required. Rosa greeted us every morning with amazing breakfast- variety every day and makes you feel very welcome. The whole team were helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay.

Despite putting the Do not bother sign on the outside of my door per instructions given, I was rudely awoken early in the morning by housekeeping banging extremely hard on my door…. They also were extremely noisy as they serviced other rooms to the point where I could not rest… not cool at all and very inconsiderate

Beautiful rooms, thoughtfully designed. Beds are extremely comfortable, great showers and exceptionally clean space. Staff was responsive and very helpful (Valentina). Beautiful gardens and small but lovely and unique pool. Hotel is extremely well located. Close to main parts of Sorrento and train station, but removed enough to be quiet. Excellent breakfast laid out each morning. A really lovely place to stay.

Parking was expensive.

The size of rooms was excellent, they were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with a good variety of different options for everyone.

The pool was a lot smaller than we expected, which was disappointing and the grounds around the property were not well maintained. There was an issue with biting insects in the garden, which is where breakfast was served, so I would recommend taking insect repellent. We had trouble finding anyone when we were trying to check out and leave our bags and ended up having to leave a note and hope that there would be someone there when we returned later on to collect our luggage. A mobile number to allow us to message the hotel would have been very helpful as the only number we had was for the landline and no one answered.

We loved everything about Villa Manning. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and lovely. It is located a short walk from the main centre which can get busy, so it was lovely to come back and relax by the pool in their beautiful gardens. The staff were amazing, Valentina and Natalia couldn’t do enough to help us and Rosa cooked the most amazing breakfast each morning!

The property itself was so beautiful, super spacious and all the little cute touches. Fantastic location to the main town and station, walked everywhere. All the staff were so lovely and welcoming. We felt like part of the family. The home cooked breakfast every morning was delicious. We loved everything and would go back in a heartbeat.

Amazing gem in the heart of Sorrento. Only 5 rooms makes it feel like you’re the only guests! We had the roof garden and pool to ourselves - which was a delight at the end of a day of exploring! The breakfast was delightful and staff extremely helpful at all times. Would 100% recommend and would definitely return. Easy to train station. Short walk into main square and has amazing pizza over the road (with the best bakery nearby too for lunch). We had a family room and it was perfect for the 4 of us. Plenty of space and very clean (cleaned every day).

Lovely property and huge bedrooms. Staff so friendly and helpful. The hotel is an old mansion, sat at the top of Sorrento about a 5-10 min walk down a hill to the centre. Lovely a quiet. There was lovely amenities in the bedroom. Some of the areas around the property need a little maintenance. There is no reception desk after 7pm. Would definitely stay here again

A secret gem hidden just a few minutes from the centre of Sorrento. We loved how tranquil the garden was, the breakfast in the garden and the privacy as the house has 5 rooms. The team were fabulous, so friendly and helpful. Would certainly come back here xx

This was the best stay of our whole trip. Villa Manning is the perfect place to stay in Sorrento. An old family mansion transformed to a boutique hotel full of history and renovated with a great taste and design. Natalia, Valentina and Rosa were outstanding at hospitality management. I definitely recommend this place to stay in Sorrento

Location was fabulous. Close proximity to everything. Hospitality was magnificent, Rosa and Valentina were both exceptional. Breakfast was great. 😌 Amenities overall were fantastic. The rooms had everything. The pool is small but enough to cool down in and relax.

The kettle in the rooms, prefer nespreso coffee makers so can be updated. The derelict side of the building is distasteful. Its an old heritage building. Half is owned by villa manning relais and the other half is neglected and privately owned which desperately needs to be attended to asap in order to make the stay more enjoyable. The place is also big enough for a communal laundry facility.

The place is beautiful and the location is excellent, but what made this stay special was the warmth with which we were treated, we had the real Italian hospitality! Rosa & Valentina are so welcoming!

It is an absolute oasis in the centre of Sorrento. The garden is beautiful and the pool is a lovely added treat. My children loved having the option to splash about. The staff could not have been more attentive, so friendly and made us feel so welcome. We felt privileged to stay in such a beautiful heritage property and we had everything we needed. The breakfasts were a treat! We would 100% stay here again.

Two elevators to get to room with luggage

It is an oasis, a short walk away from the station and the centre of Sorrento. The garden is just lovely with orange and lemon trees and a quirky pool. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Rooms were grand, large with all you need. Although we had a dog barking constantly from a neighbour, it stopped by late evening, so we had a very peaceful, quiet sleep. The bed was very comfortable. We could even see the sea from our balcony, a pleasant surprise.

We arrived during the day using a transfer arranged by the hotel. But no one answered the door. We tried the phone number and it wasn’t answered. We were starting to panic, when my partner found a WhatsApp page, and we were let in. Breakfast was on our table when we arrived in the room. It was more than adequate, but, and this is a personal thing, we prefer to choose from a buffet layout. For a boutique hotel, cereals were very limited, and no healthy choices, or additional items such as nuts and seeds.

Very unique property and great walking distance from train, town and shopping and marinas. Rosa made our stay unforgettable as she made a delicious breakfast spread each morning and is so adorable.

Beautifully appointed facility. Plan to spend a day in the lemon garden by the pool or on the terrace if you stay here-don't let the gardens go to waste! Room was beautiful and clean an quiet considering location near the square downtown. BEST BREAKFASTS I HAVE EVER HAD! Breakfast each morning was to die for...with different options each day. ROSA IS AN ASSET TO THIS FACILITY! Rosa treated us like our own mother would. She was a delight and so friendly, helpful and exuberant. I hope Villa Manning Relais realizes her contributions make the stay this good
