Breakfast was very good. Room very clean. En-suite very good and clean. Staff friendly and polite. Good pub prices.

excellent location especially if you were going to the BIC as it was15 minutes walk. Bournemouth pier and parks 20/30 minutes walk away. Urban garden excellent place to eat in the lower gardens. Bus stop each way just minutes from the hotel. Plenty of restaurants very near for example fish and chips , Japanese, Thai and several others. Nisa shop opposite for your needs. Very modern bathroom bedroom needs to catch up. Owner trying very hard to modernise the hotel. Pleasant bar area and not noisy

Bedroom very basic , could do with asmall fridge to keep milk or any snacks bought from Nisa opposite hotel. Also Bath mat and hand towel in the bathroom. Air conditioning units very noisy which didn't switch off till midnight unfortunately

Breakfast was good, great choice from the menu. Location good for BIC, although is up the hill. Room was large, clean, lovely shower room. Bed very comfy.

Sadly small things weren’t attended to. The curtains were hanging off the rails and there were some broken blinds in the window, but only about 4 slats. The fan in the bathroom was really loud and there was a light strip, that just kept flashing. There was no plug anywhere near the kettle, had to put it on the floor. Only two tea bags, not wrapped, look like they came out of someone’s pocket. The little things let it down.

It is a bit shabby in the pub most seats ripped and tables sticky. No lift 3 flights of stairs!! (But I'm lazy) However the room was nice and very good value for money spacious and roomy.

We had room 4. It's more of a single room than a double, so we felt very cramped and it was problematic getting in and out of the bathroom.

The food that was being broken ght out in the evening all looked lovely, the breakfast was lovely, came out hot and quickly. The staff were very friendly.

While the bed was massive and comfy there was a loud humming coming from some sort of machine that could be heard from our room that kept me wife awake most of the night. The bathroom whilst clean, the shower head was all clogged with timescale and clearly not been cleaned out properly for while.

2 minute walk to the beach but on a noisy main road, The window needed to be opened fully as the room was hot and they couldn’t provide a fan. The bathroom was a good size, shower was good.

Cleanliness! There were pubic hairs on the pillows. The toilet was very dirty. The room smelt of stale alcohol. Couldn’t sleep because of all the noise and the smell.

Location and proximity to the local shop and beach. I booked family room so was spacious and family bathroom was very good size. Host was very lovely.

The room originally allocated was clean and large but we had to move to different room and that was not so clean and needed doing up and fixing before given to guests.

The friendliness of the staff. The owner regularly checked in with us. The shower room was really lovely! Beds were super comfy. We could bring our dog.

Carpet in bar, but it didn’t both us as the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Did not stay at the property because the owner double-booked. When we arrived, they said we didn’t have our room. They said that the booking did not come through, and the booking is not confirmed but on booking.com it’s Confirmed. We looked for another hotel to stay. It’s not a good experience, when your booking was confirmed and arrived at the hotel and they told you that the room is not available anymore.

We stayed one night at the hop inn...it was very welcoming and friendly...the room we had was clean and comfortable and very spacious...we had a great night's sleep!....we had the breakfast in the morning which was nice and freshly cooked....all the staff were great and happy to help with anything....would definitely stay there again....

Only complaint would be the curtain in our room needed to be hooked up a bit more

Nick was amazing. He stayed late so that we could check in, and ensured that we were settled before he left. (He also carried our luggage upstairs for us which was no mean feat. He was amazing. He helped me find a parking space as well.

My requests hadn't been looked at - the email wasn't read correctly by whoever deals with them. The morning staff were no really helpful.

Very central location. Handy three car park spaces! Friendly and helpful staff. Nice cooked breakfast, interchangeable items! Very reasonably priced menu and lots of choice, some home cooked, all came quickly. The self service coffee machine at breakfast!

We were on the top floor and no lift!-my mum is 87!! Shower room clean but bit damp smelling as no windows. Breakfast was very good, but been spoiled at other places where you get cereals, fruit and fruit juice, if you want. Only three car park spaces, but we were quick enough to get one, then didn’t move!

Bed was comfy

It was extremely loud outside, the shower and bathroom was dirty, we were not even given one full roll of toilet paper nor were we given enough towels. It was expensive for just a room and poor customer service. It was as though we were a burden for being there. The workers were having an argument in front of customers and it all seemed very disorganised.

Lugar incrível! Combina muito com a energia da cidade, quarto maravilhoso, tudo limpo, banheiro com um chuveirão ótimo! Mesmo sendo em cima de um bar não ouvimos nenhum barulho em momento algum, na verdade adoramos isso! A pé para a praia!

Bathroom looked nice, location close to town and beach

Although booking.com says parking needs to be reserved, I was advised by business no booking can be made and that they had limited parking. Turns out upon arrival 3 parking bays  Had to pay over  £13 for 24 hours in a local car park  £145 for room only no parking no breakfast  Room was shabby  Ripped leather on chair,  Scuffs on furniture (see pictures) Asked for milk for coffee/tea in room to be told sorry no milk waiting on a delivery Couldn't make tea or coffee  Karaoke on sat night in bar downstairs, on till midnight very loud  Light switches fitted upside down  No plug sockets near bed, I had to put my phone on radiator to charge up over night  Toilet seat stained , shower head and switch wobbly, door to shower felt unstable. Bathroom door handle wobbly As a travel agent I have stayed in various properties both in the UK and abroad and this has to be one of the worst.

It's a small and very cozy Inn, with a nice area both innside and outside. Good service, good food and good vibes. Beds and the rooms are okey and clean. We had everything we needed.

The Inn could need a little toutch-up of the outdoor furniture.

Avoid this place. It's noise as they have a bar underneath, entrance It's through the bar. They only have 3 parking spaces, it says limited but it's only 3. Bedrooms are very compact and hot. Showers don't work properly. I booked 3 Bedrooms as it was a family stay and they all were equally bad.

Stayed 5 nights beds outdated mattresses need renewing never saw room cleaner. No hand towels or soap bathroom never cleaned beds never made or sheets changed. And as far as sleeping window frames rattling all night Tea and coffee first morning then never replaced even cups dirty for rest of stay Would not recommend

The room was a decent size

We're in the midst of a heat wave, I can accept that there was no air-conditioning, but no fan! So with open windows we shared second hand smoke and were kept awake by loud conversations from the outside bar seating b beneath our window. The temperature in our room got down to about 29 degrees but by 05:00 the sun was streaming in so it got warmer There were 5 double plugs in the room, none even close to the bed. The TV is fastened to the wall in front of the mirror

Good location, friendly and helpful staff.

Very very basic amenities. No air con or fans during heatwave, so had to leave windows wide open, which was not ideal above a pub to say the least. Mattress was incredibly uncomfortable so ended up sleeping on the single bed. Blinds falling off/apart. Got about five hours sleep total.

The staff were welcoming and friendly but the room looked nothing like the review pictures. The pub was busy and vibrant. Noise could have been an issue especially for a World Cup England game night, but strangely wasn't. We did not have breakfast there.

It was very hot and there were no fans provided because "people steal them". The furnishings, bed and bathroom were all very tired. Blinds were broken, the table extensively damaged and the chair (faux leather) was ripped and dirty. The mattress which we didn't examine before our night's sleep was disgusting. It bore little resemblance to the listing pictures. It was expensive and we felt it was not value for money.

Very noisy in nights, not enough facilities like simple fan in summer not there and was asked to open window. Smelly toilet and towels. Owner was fighting with old aged customer and pushed him out of place. People found saying bad about this hotel . I booked it as it says free parking but in the name of parking only 3 bays are there. I think parking option should not be there at all while booking as it confuses. Its kinda B&B not a 3 star hotel.

We were given 3 tea bags for 3 of us. When we asked for more when we returned from a very busy day, staff declined to get more. Bed was hard and springs stuck in my back. Curtains didn't close properly so the morning light shone in very early.

Very close to the beach! A classic ‘old pub/inn’ experience. Very nice staff. Clean and bathroom good.

No aircon and not even a fan. We were staying during a warm spell, so it was a bit uncomfortable overnight. Bed springs felt via mattress, could have improved? Noisy on a Saturday night (bring ear plugs) but all good on Sunday night.

Ideal for a one night stay if you're visiting the BIC as it's only 5 minutes walk away. The room was a good size and the bed was so wide, not cramped at all. The staff member who checked us in was very helpful, and explained to us that if we wanted something to eat then the pub, the chip shop next door, and the Indian restaurant on the other side were all owned by the same people. We decided to have fish and chips which was lovely and freshly cooked. They cater well for sports fans and my husband was able to watch a bit of the England game when we got back in. If you can't get parking at the hotel, head towards the cliff top parking which is nearby, as it's 2 hours free, and then free between 19:00 and 10:00, which meant that we arrived at 17:00 and were able to park overnight.

The Location is brilliant and near to the beach where you can walk the dog. The room was clean and big enough and had room for the crate for the dog. The bed was comfortable and shower good, plenty of hot water and nice big towels but no hand towel We had to ask for a bath mat . Coffee and tea provided but not enough milk but when asked for more was given easily. The television worked and had terrestrial TV. The staff were pleasant . The biggest problem for us were the stairs as we were on the top floor. We both have movement problems but we made it. There is no lift. There are only 3 car parking spaces but there are car parking spaces in the area.There is a lot of noise from the road but none from the pub which was busy when we arrived. Breakfast was ok but the coffee weak . Overall this hotel is value for money but basic. .

Curtains hanging off and covered very dirty window frames covered in flies, dust and general dirt. Only 1 of the 3 bay windows had blinds on and this had half of the slats missing. Shower had so much limescale on over half of the holes wouldn’t work and the rest sprayed all over the place. Poor choice for breakfast, 4 options available.
