Breakfast was lovely, room very nicely decorated, lovely bathroom, staff were very helpful and allowed us an early check in as the room was prepared
Soundproofing could be better especially when yappy dogs are also staying. I guess we were a little unlucky with the timing on that. Definitely a gap under the room door which meant any noise in the corridor could be heard
The staff were amazing. Renata was so lovely as our server. Lebo in housekeeping is fantastic and Megan is a brilliant Manager. All the staff are very well trained. The rooms are exceptional.
Nothing, it was perfect!
Good location, nice room
Difficult to find. Waze left us about 200m away.
Everything from location, room and service
Nothing, can’t wait to go back
The decor. The location. The parking. Pleasant staff. The comfortable mattress and cotton sheets and pillow cases.
It's not really a big negative as it was handled very well but there was a misunderstanding over what meal I had ordered. The replacement came after my partner had finished his meal and I had to also wait a long time for a glass of wine. The manager did not charge me for the meal I had ordered or the glass of wine which was excellent customer service. As with many places which use a waterproof almost carehome-like mattress protector we had to remove it as it makes you very clammy. If the protectors get washed anyway why not use one without this type of waterproof layer? Also maybe supply a thinner duvet when it's hot weather. It wasn't too hot for us as it wasn't the heatwave but we had to kick out our legs from it in any case.
Beautifully decorated and relaxed boutique hotel and brasserie. Has a quality, friendly feel to the place and wonderfully located in the heart of Lymington. Pets (and owners) are made very welcome. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our stay was cut short by an emergency at home and the Manager could not have been more understanding and helpful. Something that counts enormously.
During our two day stay, I could not find anything to improve worthy of mention. It's clear to me that the Manager and Staff are working very hard to deliver a great experience...well done all.
Suite is on the ground floor with the windows up against the tables of the outside pub area or the car park, so lack of privacy and view
Great stay. The newly refurbished bedrooms are fabulous and have everything you could possible need. Comfortable bed and great bathroom. All public areas and the garden are lovely. We had lunch and dinner and both meals were very good as was the plentiful, well cooked breakfast. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Look forward to our next visit.
Liked everything!
Comfortable pub with bedrooms, tastefully decorated, great location for exploring town and coast line marshes. Friendly staff and good breakfast.
Woken at 6am by very noisy bin truck emptying bottle grundon bins.
Good location for us as we were sailing from the marina. Room very comfortable, good view, spacious bathroom. Very helpful serving a slightly earlier breakfast allowing us to get to an appointment on time.
Nothing
Very good breakfast, great room with super decor- obviously a lot of thought had gone into the design, colour scheme & execution. Beautifully decorated.
A box of tissues in the room.
All staff very friendly and helpful, beautiful room. Nice garden, lovely interior
Orders incorrect at lunch and at breakfast, had no eggs or butter at breakfast and salads were ridiculously priced for what they were…literally a few leaves for £6 ( as a side) not worth having!
Good breakfast
Evening meal was cold
Very convenient. Close to the town and easy access to the quay for boat trips. Beautiful rooms. Spotlessly clean. Lovely staff.
Nothing
Comfortable room, nice food
Lack of organization within the staff and management The fact that the room was not cleaned and towels etc refreshed Poached eggs served a.ongside my granola Menu advertised croissants bur none were a available Booked sea Kew room but no sea Kew
This would have been Excellent rating without the constant rock music over the hotel p.a. system
Die Lage und Ruhe in der Nacht
Leider hat das Personal "Locals" bevorzugt behandelt. Das Frühstück hat sehr lange gedauert
This is the second time in a month that we were really impressed with the food and the service. We were especially impressed with the service from Charlotte and Tilly, who surprised us with a specially prepared dessert as it was our wedding anniversary. As we are locals, it's really good to know that we can rely on the team to look after us and our visitors.
The refurbishmemt was lovely
Nothing
Breakfast wasn’t the best.
Daytime food was great the breakfast was lacking.
Great location
We had to pay an exorbitant rate for the room as we booked late & it was the Lymington seafood festival, our choice but too much of a premium in my view
Einrichtungsstil, Ausstattung Zimmer und Gasträume, freundliches Personal
It's a lovely place, very clean, lovely room and staff all really friendly and helpful. It's in a good location, near the harbour and a pleasant 10 min walk into town. Breakfast was great. All the food we had there was really good and they have a lovely large garden with lots of seating areas, which we were lucky enough to make the most of sitting in the sun.
Everything was great.
location great, rooms well decorated and comforta blen great garden
Food average and service at breakfast amateur. Forgetting things and long delays. Cant make toast !!
Location was brilliant and staff very friendly and helpful
Not a dislike more a suggestion that ability to have skimmed milk and brown bread/ toast at breakfast would have been nice
Staff lovely, food good. Room comfy and dog friendly. Very close to the marina we use.
Bathroom could have been cleaner on arrival. That's it.
Since our last stay at The Mayflower it has been decorated and updated. Very nice atmosphere and excellent service.
Nothing not to like, all was good with our stay.
Beautiful room, very clean, tea, coffee and cookies provided. Very hot day, but fan provided and turned on for our arrival. Dinner on the terrace was great, staff efficient and friendly. Food was tasty. Good choice for breakfast. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.
I had to miss breakfast to catch the early morning tide. But I liked the idea of having breakfast.
Breakfast and the service was exceptional.

Beautiful room
Totally pointless bath in bedroom, couldn't turn off the lights above that bath !
Absolutely everything. The rooms are fabulous. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. Great location for the IOW ferry. Very relaxing. Nothing is too much trouble.
If there was anything at all please can you provide biscuits in packets rather than loose in a jar. The ones we had were very soft and sticky so not sure how long they had been there. But that was all. Nothing to dislike.
Beautiful bedroom, very comfortable bed, lovely large bathroom, lots of nice additions like tea, coffee, bottled water, biscuits, radio, treat for the dog. Location was very good. Majority of staff were very friendly, kind and helpful.
Bathroom hand basin cold tap was not working, we used the bath tap instead but not much of an issue. Breakfast was terrible, quality and cooking of ingredients was not nice, black pudding tasted deep fried, was overcooked and unpleasant. Buttermilk pancakes did not taste homemade, even though the question was asked. They were too sweet and tasted shop bought to me. The Granola bowl with yoghurt and compote was delicious and the best part of the breakfast.
Great staff and beautiful rooms
All great. Wardrobes would be a good idea for a longer stay
Breakfast anf food in general very good, location was as discribed and next to Marina
Nothing
The Pub is absolutely stunning, the employees very kind, food was great. The room was clean and cozy, with little touches to elevate the experience. Check in was swift and easy. It’s beautifully located.
The friendly staff, the excellent food, nicely decorated room and comfy bed.

Good position
Ok
Beautifully refurbished, excellent location, great staff, comfortable en-suite bedrooms and great food. Everything was just perfect!
Nothing- it was all really lovely.
Breakfast was lovely, high quality ingredients and menu tailored to exact requirements. Staff were all amazing particularly James and Noah who could not have done more for us. This place is like staying with old friend. Location is perfect with easy parking outside yet just a 5 minute walk to all the action on the quay. The garden is great too and refurbished rooms exceptionally homely and comfortable.
Having to leave!
Location, gives easy access to water front.
Room photo and price indicate this is an upmarket boutique hotel but it is room over a pub. No AC no Fan room was too hot to be in until 10pm. No hanging space or wardrobe, only had 2x small bedside drawers one of which had broken and missing handle. Only hook was on the back of the door which already had the bag with the hair dryer in it which was covering up the emergency fire evacuation plan. Ironing board was stacked against the wall. Plastic plants add nothing. Room was small but bathroom large would be better to have more room in bedroom and smaller bathroom.
Great staff, Great location Great room
Nothing
Location was wonderful and hotel had character.
Rooms were very hot with no means to cool other than opening windows.
Position was lovely Waiters very attentive
Just had a refit but not at a good finish, couple of the plugs didn't work, bath taps wobbly. Quite a lot of menu unavailable in the evening, no porridge? That should have been in stock lettuce for salads unavailable... Surely there's a supermarket close for things not delivered or run out. Having worked in a kitchen the manager would have got in the car to buy it rather than say that is not available. It wasn't just busy apparently it wasn't delivered in the morning.....
Such a great location with some lovely rooms. Refurb looks good to.
Clearly some teething issues, both our main courses were cold and they felt pretty short of staff.
The property had had a refurb and opened on 22nd May, our arrival date. It was clean, tidy and clear that a large investment had been made. The radio being on in the room on arrival and when the room is made up in the morning is a really lovely touch - along with the freshly baked cookies! The staff were friendly, particularly Renata and Stuart, and helpful. Close proximity to the local amenities and super close to enjoy watching the boats come in and out of the harbour. Parking readily an available.
We hadn’t been made aware of the refurb, and I called to check on this. I spoke to Tom, who confirmed all was on track. Upon arrival we waited a little while to be served, and then we were told that it was the ‘soft launch’ that evening (22nd May). Again, it would have been helpful to have been told this before arrival. As the team were giving complimentary drinks for the evening, it would have been great to have had the vouchers left in our room, it would have been a nice touch. The price point is one to look out for. It was very expensive to book direct, and found the prices cheaper on Booking.com.
Nice room, posh coffee in the room was a really nice touch. The shower gel, hand soap and hand cream were very nice. Comfy bed and a sea view. Staff without exception were great.
A few ceilings on our floor looked like they had water damage which wasn’t a great look.
The evening meal was suburb and exceeded my expectations. Also, the breakfast was well cooked, not greasy and just the right amount to set us for the day. The staff were very friendly. A cafetière and quality coffee were in the room and not the normal instant coffee that you normally find in a hotel room
Well decorated very comfortable room. Good bar and restaurant. Good location convenient for town and marina..
Nothing
Beautiful room in great location.

Great location. Quiet road but right on the estuary. Great views. Staff were 110% and worked as a team. The food was well above pub standard. Room was clean and well organised. We could’t fault a thing with our stay. Many thanks to Tom, James, Megan, Carla and Chef and all the hidden team.
Nothing , it was spot on.
Great location with sea view to watch ferries go over yo the island
Decaff coffee option in the room would have been nice.
Beautiful location easy to get to the harbour. Lovely views. Spacious rooms super bath tub spacious bath room. Comfortable large bed very warm rooms. Easy access to rooms.
Could do with a lift to the upper floor bedrooms
Nice big room, comfy bed, lovely bathroom, and well stocked tea tray. The food was nice enough but pub grub with a twist which didnt always come off. Eg only sour dough for toast with breakfast - a choice of wholemeal or soft white for a sandwich is nice. Almost trying too hard on food and didnt quite hit the mark. Lovely staff, extremely helpful and very hardworking. Great location and garden, parking. Recommend. They are about to refurb so may change experience.
Well situated hotel for the town and harbour. Good car-parking. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and large spacious bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Likewise Dinner and drinks served at the table. Very good value for money.
The staff were really friendly and attentive. Lovely room with a lovely view
The restaurant was a bit pricy and they had run out of both my main course and dessert selection.
we arrived on Sunday and was let into our room a little earlier so we had Sunday roast which was excellent and also the staff put themselves out to do us a supper which we had in our room while we settled in. Breakfast on Monday and Tuesday was also very nice and the room was nice with a view of the Marina and the sea.
The breakfasts were excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Evening menu could be more adventurous.
Freshly cooked breakfast was very nice.service was good. Also the fish and chips very tasty.
Nothing to report.
Location, comfortable, food and service excellent
Drinks were a bit pricey
Pub & rooms were great. Comfortable room for me & my dog.no problem getting space in car park. Breakfast was good & all the staff were very friendly & welcoming. Very nice location too.

Lovely clean stylish room in a peaceful location. Staff were friendly and helpful
All good
Comfortable bed, clean room. Friendly and helpful staff.
We had dinner in the restaurant - fish and chips was very good and generous portion of fish. The chicken burger was small. Breakfast - Eggs portobello was very good but the butchers breakfast was mostly cold. We also didn't realise there was a surcharge for this breakfast and should've been made clear on the menu.
Had an unexpected room upgrade. Room was fantastic - very pleased. Staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meal was good.
Cooked breakfast was OK but a bit smaller than expected!
We were greeted immediately on arrival by a friendly smiles and shown where we could be seated. We were shown the juices available and offered Coffee almost immediately. My daughter is a vegetarian and only initially ordered a pain au chocolat. I asked if a further bowl of fruit could be arranged (although not an option on the menu). No issues at all and a let me see what we can arrange and soon after a bowl of fruit arrived. My eggs Benedict was as delicious as the lovely dinner we had the night before!
Really nothing, keep up the good work!
Food was really good. Pub was very busy but the service was great and we didn't have to wait too long.
The room was clean but very tired. The bed base was really damaged. We were in No 1 room and unfortunately it was right near the kitchen and had the cooker extractor fan right near our window. Just think the whole upstairs needed a good clean.
Good location. Room and bathroom good size.
Very shabby hotel. State of decoration very poor. Furnishings and upholstery damaged throughout public areas. Staff not very attentive. Needed to keep asking for coffee top-ups etc. One item ordered for breakfast was not delivered and even after clarification still did not turn up.
Everything was great, staff were friendly. Place was amazing

The mayflower completely went beyond our expectations. Charming pub, amazing location. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. Our room was really lovely and we had an excellent stylus
Everything was pretty much perfect

Lovely big room, very comfortable and plenty tea/coffee. Friendly staff with excellent service.
Really friendly helpful staff Really comfortable beds Super dog friendly
Nothing but if being really picky paintwork could do with being refreshed in places
Comfortable room, nice toiletries. Good breakfast

Twin room which we asked for. Lovely big bathroom with large white fluffy towels. Wonderful beverage tray in the room and an exceptional evening meal and breakfast.
Room - fabulous Breakfast - there was a lacking of some of the breakfast items Dinner - pleasant
The bathroom windows needed attention, the lack of breakfast items
Goede bedden en de locatie.
Ontbijt van 8 tot 10 en weinig stopcontacten.
The Mayflower was lovely. We stayed for 2 nights and managed to get amazing rates due to last minute booking in early December. Our room was a double room with sea view and we had a lovely end to end bathtub in the bathroom. The building has lots of beautiful traditional features like the windows which feels like staying in a cottage. The pub and restaurant downstairs was lovely as it was not busy (due to it being winter) which made it great for our toddler to be able to run around and enjoy the space. The staff were super friendly and attentive, especially Jamie, the lady serving breakfast and the cleaner. We liked the location being by the Quay as we could watch all the boats sailing past. The breakfast was delicious, we had a full English and the staff were attentive to our needs especially as we had our toddler.
The free wifi in the room was patchy so we had to stay downstairs for work meetings to get good connection. The staff were lovely enough to turn the music down so we could take our work calls - really lovely touch. The location is 15-20 mins walk from the main high street. It is a lovely walk, as you get to see all the boats sailing past.
