Location is great. Its in a peasefull place near the lake and rope car. Walking distance downhill, but buss also rides there. Bus station is just in front of the hotel. They also have private onsen and no need to wait.

At first it seems far but it is really near the main attraction of Hakone. Awesome nature around. A place to relax and enjoy nature.

If you like shopping and restaurant near you. This is not the place.

5つのお風呂があります。早朝の男女別の風呂の貸し切りタイムがお勧め。２つの大きな風呂のほかに、家族風呂が3つあります。カエル館のすぐ隣です。職員はフレンドリーです。

部屋が綺麗に改装されていますが、窓際の椅子とテーブルは年季が入っています。オートロックでもありません。ですが大した問題では無いです。携帯の電波が入りづらい、wifiも実用的ではありません。

何回か利用させていただいてますが、 朝食美味しいです。 お米も魚もコーンスープも とっても美味しいです。

寝てる時　冷房の音が 気になりました。

朝食が美味しかった スタッフの方が感じがよかった。

部屋の電気ポット使ったが、水が既に入っていて嫌だった。 部屋のスリッパは使い捨てにして欲しい。気持ち悪くて使いたくない。結果、靴で過ごすことになり落ち着かない。 浴衣が洗ってあるのだろうけど、人の体臭が残っている様な臭いだった。 部屋のランプの電気、スイッチの鎖が使いにくい様に巻き付けてあった。使うなということ？ ホテルの公式サイトには売店はコンビニ並に揃えてるとあったが、全くそんな事なかった。

仕方ないがお風呂場脱衣場の隅っこが汚い。 2Fの個室風呂です。

The room was very spacious and clean. Frustrating that was no coffee available. The hotel is quite old ! But the views were nice. If you travel by bus from Tokyo the bus stops by the hotel.

Staff didn’t speak English. When i arrived at 15.00 no one explained that I needed to book or reserve dinner. The solution was to buy a ramen cup! Not really what i expected. Hotel was not busy at all and I’m sure they could provide a soup or an omelette.

The location and the quiet

The hotel was comfortable, and the private onsen were nice with lots of amenities. The breakfast was decent with a variety of options, though you could only choose from 2 times to attend which was very limiting.

We arrived at about 4:30 pm, and when we asked about dinner, we were told by the man at the front desk that it was by reservation only and that we weren't able to make a reservation for that evening. Having just traveled from Vietnam that morning to this remote hotel, with two teen boys who eat quite a lot, that came as a shock. We asked if we could get food delivered and were told no. The man at the front desk offered no solutions or suggestions, and basically just walked away from us. We were left with packaged food from the gift shop, which definitely did not suffice as a meal for my family. I would have appreciated some sort of notification prior that we needed to make reservations for dinner so that we could have, as many other hotels had done on this trip.

Staff, location great but a little isolated if you don't have a car. Use of laundrette facilities.

Nothing really, but beds and pillows very hard compared to European hotels, but when in Rome........

Es war alles sauber und eine tolle Ausstattung hatte das Hotel. Die Lage war für uns nicht schlecht weil wir mit einem Bus gleich zu unserem Ziel gekommen sind. Die privaten Onsen im Hotel waren toll und auch dass man diese nicht reservieren musste.

Das Hotel war schon etwas älter und dadurch waren Flecken in der Badewanne. Auch hatte das Zimmer einen sehr eigenen Geruch aber man gewöhnt sich daran. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Gab einiges an Auswahl, war aber nicht beste Qualität.

The private onsen was nice. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean. The location was nice. We saw Mt. Fuji from its parking lot (on the clear day) and took some good pictures.

The room was a bit old. The facility looked a bit outdated. The price was not the cheapest in the area.

The breakfast was nice, staff was great and very helpful, location is good since it is walking distance to lake Ashi and very close to bus station that takes you to other areas of Hakone. The private onsens were available to use whenever you like, and there was always one that's free.

Cleanliness was not on a good level. A provided towel in the room was stained and the toilet seat was also stained when we checked in. Another thing I did not like is that we were not informed that the cleaning staff would enter our room during our stay when we did not request it. They should either inform you of that, or they should ask or wait for you to request it when you leave the room for the day.

How beautiful kept it was. The gardens welcomed us and demonstrated the care and attention that was taken to care for their long standing establishment.

大浴場が広くてゆったりできた。 庭がとても綺麗で良かった 朝食が美味しくて満足できた。 又、機会があれば利用したいです。

別に無かった。

The property is in a beautiful location and we were lucky to see a fabulous view of Mt Fuji from the hotel driveway and garden. We hadn’t reserved dinner but were informed that there are three local restaurants who would pick us up and drop us home. After a long drive, it was great to be able to look at the three menus and the staff kindly booked the one we chose and organised a pick up time. The staff are very polite.

There’s no getting away from the fact the hotel is dated. For a large hotel, the room was smaller than the one we had in Tokyo…no cupboard and very little space to open up a suitcase. I think they assume you will use the onsen, either the communal one (men’s and women’s are separate) or private ones as the room had no shampoo and conditioner and just a bar of soap. (Toothbrushes, a comb and razors are provided). We booked a non-smoking room but unfortunately, the smoke from other areas of the hotel still reached our room.

Very good hotel, friendly staff, huge and beautiful traditional rooms with nice view. There's a big variety of breakfast. There are public and also 4 private onsen bath.

Maybe a bit far from the centre.

Das Hotel ist mehr als in die Jahre gekommen. Im Onsen haben wir uns nicht wohl gefühlt.

Peaceful place. Views to mt. Fuji from the hotel front yard. Onsens were ok and not crowded. Staff was really friendly. GO board game room was delight for our 10y daughter.

Hotel is quite outdated, it has been few decades from its peak years. Inside hotel there is a fusty odor probably originating from old whole floor carpet covering all spaces. Onsens are also in quite original state but did their trick. We did not try hotel dinner since it was hefty expensive 6600 jpy/person to our pay grade. Location is isolated. For instance, nearest grocery store is 6-7 km away and not much activities/restaurants within walking distance. On positive note, Hakone ropeway Tokedai station is just ~1km away.

The room was very comfortable and traditional. From the front of the hotel I saw Mt. Fuji. The personnel was very kind. The hotel is near to Togendai station.

Struttura un po’ datata e attenzione se si vuole aggiungere qualche servizio come colazione o cena bisogna farlo il giorno prima cosa che consiglio dato che là intorno non c’è nulla.

釣りでの利用なので湖に近いことが大変便利でした。仙石原にも近いのでコンビニやレストランもあり便利です。また料金も手ごろです。特に一階の貸し切り風呂が大変気に入ってます。

部屋の冷蔵庫がダメでした。浴衣の帯が短いですウエストが一メートル以上ありますので。スリッパがあまり清潔でないような気がします。

It’s just the location, but thanks God there’s a nearby bus stop, 2minutes walk from Kagetsuen.

The 24 hrs Private onsen was good for family after a long day outside exploring to relax. Tatami was very nice too. The hotel is close to the ropeway and pirate ship, walking distance about 15 minutes through a trail that is pretty.

The cleaning was poor, the room we stayed in had stained walls and carpet was not clean.

Got free parking, staffs very nice, got onsen, they got free 4 private onsen rooms. But quite dirty but you got privacy . The public ones are brighter. Their paid breakfast is not too expensive and is nice. Room is ok

Solo estuve una noche por Trabajo pero me gustó la vibra que había en el Lugar como un Ryokan antiguo. Muy grande y lindo!

La ducha estaba rota así q tuvieron q cambiarme de cuarto , como están cansada creo q fue un poco molesto pero lo solucionaron rápido.

Hyggelig personale. God frokost. Flott at vi kunne ta gratis privat bad i varmt kildevann. Det er 4 separate bad ; med ulike såper, kremer og produkter. Vil du spise på en annen restaurant enn hotellets, har de avtale med 3 ulike. Du blir hentet til/fra gratis til restaurantene.

Fikk ikke spise på restauranten. Måtte reservere tidlig på dagen.

お部屋や備品も清潔で気持ち良く過ごす事が出来て良かったです。 晴天で部屋の窓から富士山が見えて、 お得感がありました。 夕食の和懐石がどれも上品で味付けも最高だったです。

洗面所の手洗いにポンプ式の手洗い石鹸が無くて、固形石鹸だったので、ポンプ式の方が清潔で良いと思いました。 大浴場の脱衣場の室温調整が今一つだった

A good place to stay, with a good location for the cable car and the boat

The place already feels dated, especially in the bathrooms. There are very few activities to do near the hotel without using transportation.

スタッフの方々の気配りが大変良かった

The private onsens available anytime (I guess we were just lucky). The overall vibe of the place is like a spa for the elderly - which is really an advantage. We’ve seen young people there of course but it’s like a place for those who are tired of fancy places. When you come out of the hotel you can see mister Fuji if he’s in a good mood.

Maybe slippers could be personal and used once per guest - there were multiple usage slippers in the room but I don’t know how they are cleaned by the staff.

Les chambres sont très grandes et bien équipées, les lits plutôt confortables . Excellent petit déjeuner avec un grand choix. Salle de bain spacieuse

Un peu vieillissant.

The location was perfect for me - clear view of the awesome Mount Fuji from the bottom of the drive, just a minutes walk from reception. It was also just a 10/15 stroll downhill to Lake Ashi, where you'll also find the Ropeway, cafe and restaurant, and the Pirate ships that can be used for to get to the other side to extend your exploring. It takes a bit longer walking back up to the hotel from the lake, as it is quite steep. However, there is an excellent bus service you can use if you wish. Which also comes in handy of an evening, as I would recommend you eat out. Breakfast is very good, i didn't eat there in the evening as you have to pre-book and I hadn't heard good reports about it. Room was massive, but like the rest of the hotel tired and dated (very 1970's) The bathroom was poor so I used the facilities in the onsen, which I loved and needed, as I walked miles during the day

Tired and dated establishment. The bathroom was not particularly inviting to use due to the age of the fittings.

Bien situé : 20min du lac Ashi à pied, 40min de Hakone avec 1 seul bus

Un peu trop vieux (déco et confort) et pas toujours très propre.
