L'amabilité et la disponibilité du personnel. La piscine est bien entretenue. Pour un court séjour de 3 ou 4 nuits c'est un bel endroit.

La amabilidad del personal. Las camas de matrimonio eran muy cómodas. El desayuno muy rico: tostadas, tortilla, salchichas y fruta.

Las camas individuales eran muy incómodas (era una colchoneta muy fina sobre una madera ) al igual que las almohadas. Lo dijimos y nos trajeron otra colchoneta. Está lejos de la calle principal. Hay que ir en coche a todos sitios.

wir 4 waren die einzigen Gäste und trotzdem hat man uns die schlechtesten Zimmer gegeben mit Teppichboden und Badezimmer schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen .Wir haben mal kurz im die anderen Zimmer rein gesehen die waren viel neuer renoviert mit sauberen Fliesenboden ,sehr geräumig und neuem Bad..Da war es wieder , das Gefühl als Booking.com Gast bekommt man die schlechtesten Zimmer🫣😔

Its not something we didn't like but just be aware that this place is quite a bit of a distance from any of the main Sigiriya restaurants. You can't walk but need to organise transport.

Nothing at all, pathetic experience

Staff was not friendly, there were bunch of men drinking at night, highly unsafe for women, they had problems with payment, they said they will accept card and kept us in the dark and later refused to help. They threatened us to pay in cash else they won’t allow us to leave, no support at all, very poor rooms, they were smelly, frogs found in the bathroom, highly shady place, never stay here!

A warm hospitality from the staff working at the property and the smiley welcome is always appreciated. nice view with the balcony, especially in the morning.

The room felt a bit small, especially with the number of beds inside, so there wasn’t much space to move around. The outside area was quite dark, and I strongly believe the corridor should be better lit, especially since it is more on the wild side. Additionally, the cleanliness was not up to a very good standard.

El personal es super atento , te ayudan en todo lo que necesites . Se portaron super bien con nosotros !

El alojamiento estaba bien, únicamente en los baños hacía mucho olor a humedad y no era muy agradable pero el resto muy bien. El desayuno muy bueno. Un poco alejado de Sigiriya pero en tuktuk se llegaba enseguida.

Lo mejor es poder darte un baño en la piscina al final del día . Es un resort bien distribuido, con habitaciones amplias y confortables y una sala con sofás en la primera planta. La atención del personal del Amelia es estupenda, siempre atentos y con una sonrisa. El desayuno también es excelente. Ha sido un acierto.

Una verguenza, llegamos y solamente nuestra habitación no tenia luz, las demas donde habia mas huespedes si. Se lo dijimos y nos cambiaron a otra que tampoco tenia luz. Querian que pasasemos asi todas las noches, esperando a que hubiese luz. Ademas a nuestro conductor lo metieron en un zulo.

The Amelia is well located, close enough to easily reach the hub-bub of Sigiriya, yet far away enough to offer peace and quiet. It's a nice hotel, not too expensive considering the location and what it offers. Overall rating is good. The rooms are spacious, each has a balcony, with a view over the pool and surrounds. Our room had a recently renovated bathroom. The breakfasts are basic, but fine. The staff are friendly, very hard working, always available, caring and dedicated to the hotel and guests.

The interior furnishings of our room were a bit dated, and the room carpeted. It seemed obvious that the hotel was not at capacity, and some savings measures were happening. For example, the new TV could not receive any channels because the subscription had lapsed. The smaller bunk beds had thin and fairly hard mattresses. With more effort going into modernizing the hotel, this could be a gem.

Location

From start to finish, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff’s attitude was unfriendly and unhelpful. The rooms were dirty, with a filthy mattress and blanket, smelly towels, and stinking toilets. There was no hot water, and the toiletries provided were pathetic. The food was awful, and even the tea/coffee sachets were only provided for one person. Overall, the place was unhygienic and poorly maintained – absolutely not worth the money. Avoid at all costs.

Non funziona il wi-fi in stanza e nemmeno l’acqua calda e dopo averlo fatto presente più e più volte, ci siamo arresi e abbiamo fatto la doccia fredda per due volte e ci aspettavamo uno sconto per il disagio e l’abbiamo anche fatto presente ma non ci è stato dato. Non ci ritornerei

Comfortable rooms, a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Good wifi and delicious breakfast included in the room price. The staff organised a safari to Minneriya to see the elephant gathering at an excellent price.

Not a negative.. But just so you know, there is no physical menu. The staff will let you what is available food wise.

It’s a really nice and quiet hotel. A bit remote, but it was easy to get a tuktuk into town. The kids really loved the swimmingpool and the hosts are super helpful and friendly.

No Lift

The location was convenient. It was only 4km travel from Lion's rock. The Pool was good and comfortable after a tired day at Sigiriya. The staff was nice. It was well worth the price. There were tea & coffee making facilities and a good surrounding.

The hot water stopped in the middle of a shower. The room master key was faulty. The furniture looked cheap. The GPS showed a funny wrong location and ended up lost in nowhere in the middle of the jungle at night which was a horrible experience. It's advisable to switch on the location closer to Lions Rock.

The English breakfast we got was delicious and my kids really enjoyed

Excellent hotel in Sigiriya run by Polish/ Sri Lankan team. It is located 4km from town in front of beautiful lake covered by lotus flowers. They have everything you need- big, clean swimming pool, big, clean rooms with AC and hot water, bicycles, scooter and motorbike for rent, tree restaurant with stunning view of the lake. Very tasty breakfasts are included and they can also make fantastic tuna steaks or prawns! They can provide free transport to Lions Rock, Pidurangala or Sigiriya town. Chłopaki! Wielkie dzięki. Na pewno wrócimy!

Rooms have more space, facilities and well cleaned. Food was delicious. Local and Foreign meal items are available. Hot water available. Tree house restaurant is available.. Staff is very kind and helpful.

The hotel is really good. Worth the money. The host is really friendly and whenever we needed anything he was there. One Note: Nature is too good ...little away from sigiriya but worth it.

We had unforgettable time in Amelia Resort. Pool was nice and warm, hotel room clean and comfy and place is surrounded by nature. The owner of this place has changed and recently renovated the hotel. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect!

Fantastic place, beautiful with quiet stunning garden around. Many tourist attractions in the area, no way to be bored. Great chilling spot over the pool close to the nature. New staff is very polite, helpful and friendly keeping the place tidy. They also serve delicious meals. I will definitely come back there soon.

This place has new owners and they really care now. They fixed internet, hot water, painted the walls and refreshed the rooms and bathrooms. Rooms are big and spacious, clean with free tea and cofee and comfortable beds. The swiming pool is big and clean , just perfect for chill out after visiting Pidurangala or Lions Rock. The hotel is 3 km from Sigiriya town in quiet village , perfect to chill out. You can rent the scooter and bicycles there or if you want the owner drop you to the city by his van. Really great place for those sho want to forget about problems and just chill out!

Bathroom smelt, shower didn't drain, roof leaking and saw a frog and cockroach in there. Pool was unclean and not enough loungers so nowhere to sit as heaps of ants. Limited menu for location as nothing that close.

Hotel with the best value-for-price we had in Sri Lanka. We paid around 20€ for one night in a very comfortable and clean room and could use the very clean pool. Breakfast was great. It’s a bit away from Sigiriya rock, but the employees bring you there and pick you up with their tuk-tuk for a reasonable price, same for the transfer to the railway station.
