La zona premium del hotel, la que aparece en las fotos a pie de playa cuando reservas, se veía bien, aunque solo mirar tuve oportunidad

El ruido de aviones despegando y aterrizando desde las 5:30am imposible dormir. La habitación (bungalow) estaba cruzando la calle al otro lado del hotel ‘bonito’ no era a borde playa había una bajada por tierra y nada habilitado para arrastrar maletas, a la llegada nos ayudaron a llevarlas al hacer check-out no nos ofrecieron ni prestaron ayuda y se nos rompió una rueda en ese camino gravillado, horrible

Rustig gedeelte van het eiland. Ruime kamer met airconditioning. Het restaurant serveert lekker gerechten voor een schappelijke prijs.

Het strand is heel smal. Het restaurant is erg leeg. En de upgrade naar een kamer met airco is prijzig tov andere hotels.

We had a great stay at this property. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the location was perfect for our one-night stay, as it was close to both the airport and the pier. The swimming pool is amazing! The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was quite small, but I think everything was perfectly reasonable considering the very affordable price.

Given the high humidity, it would be helpful to have a hairdryer available in the room. Also, the shower is located directly above the toilet, which means that the whole bathroom gets wet. It would be very helpful to have a floor squeegee to remove the excess water.

Wir waren nur sehr kurz dort als Vorstufe einer Übernachtung vor einem morgendlichen Flug dort - aber der Service erschien uns gut und das Zimmer war gut. Die Lage am Flughafen ist nun einmal teils lauter, aber nachts haben wir es nicht gehört. Da der Strand auf der Seite der Hotelanlage auf der anderen Straßenseite ist, es ist eine zwei geteilte Hotelanlage, muss man die Straße zum Teil erst überqueren.

Excellent location, close to yummy restaurants, 711 and spas and the staff were lovely. Having aircon was great and the shuttle service to the airport was also very convenient and cheap (300 baht)

The door seemed not to lock (did from the inside but not the outside) but felt safe. The bed mattress was rock hard but still managed to sleep well.

Cogimos este hotel dos noches ya que volávamos a Chang Rai. Esta tan cerca del aeropuerto que los aviones pasan literalmente por encima. Para una estancia larga en la isla no lo recomiendo. Cogimos la habitación con ventilador, mucho calor por la noche.

Mais odeur désagréable dans la salle de bain et literie beaucoup trop dure, j’ai eu le sentiment de dormir à meme le sol et j’ai passé une mauvaise nuit. J’avais des bouchons d’oreille donc je n’ai pas été dérangé par le bruit des avions. Mes enfants qui avaient une autre chambre m’ont dit avoir bien dormi pour leur part néanmoins.

L’hôtel est bien situé, proche de l’aéroport.

Le personnel est à moitié accueillant. On arrive à 12h40, notre chambre est prête mais on doit quand même payer pour déjà y avoir accès au lieu de 14h. Il faut laisser 500 baht cash pour la clé. Impossible de réserver un scooter via l’hôtel et il faut payer 300 baht si on veut un taxi via l’hôtel pour l’aéroport qui est littéralement juste à côté. Impossible de payer avec la carte au restaurant.

Onaardig, arrogant personeel bij de receptie wanneer ik in gesprek ging over de aanvraag van een kinderbedje. De kamer zelf was klein, niet fris en de airco blaast vol in je gezicht wanneer je in bed ligt. Wij komen niet meer terug.

We komen hier al een aantal jaren en voor ons is het een accommodatie voor 1 nacht. Als wij naar Thailand gaan komen we meestal vanaf Koh Phangan en we moeten uiteindelijk vanuit Koh Samui vliegen naar Bangkok. Samui Mermaid Beachfront ligt dicht bij de pier en dicht bij het vliegveld dus voor ons is de locatie perfect. We gaan meestal 's avonds nog even naar Fisherman Village en daar bij je in 15 min. met de taxi. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding van de accommodatie is heel goed en het is een prima plek om kort te verblijven.

Er valt eigenlijk nooit iets tegen maar als ik iets zou moeten noemen dan is het dat ik het resort zou aanbevelen voor een kort verblijf. Ik zou er niet een week hoeven te verblijven, tenzij budget een belangrijke factor voor je is.

The pools were great.

The room we stayed in was terrible, everything from the fluorescent lighting to the incredibly uncomfortable bed and the smelly bathroom where the showerhead was over the toilet. And the No-Aircon (which was in the booking description) but I didn’t expect the «fan» included to be so old and loud. The worst part however was the fact that the room is literally on the runway of the airport so it’s impossible to sleep for even a second without feeling like you’re about to die. Overpriced for what you get. Although I can imagine the more expensive rooms that aren’t located across a massive road are nicer.

Il faut faire attention concernant le choix de la chambre. En effet, cela ne correspondait absolument pas à ce qui était montré sur les photos. Nous avons préféré changer d’hôtel.

- rude staff - didn’t accommodate us at all - really noisy from the aeroplanes impacted our sleep dramatically and we were moved to a room that was just as bad

Wij hebben deze accommodatie vooral gekozen, omdat het dichtbij het vliegveld en op loopafstand van de pier (ferry naar Koh Phangan) lag. We hebben er dus alleen geslapen en toen zijn we weer vertrokken, maar het terrein zag er goed onderhouden uit. Van de vliegtuigen die overvliegen hebben wij geen last gehad. Er ligt een 7/11 op loopafstand, evenals een grote beachclub, een aantal restaurants en zoals hierboven al genoemd de Bangrak pier.

De airco maakte veel lawaai en werkte niet echt naar behoren. Wij hadden hem op z'n koudst staan en alsnog was het best warm in de kamer.

Estava a prop del moll de ferry i molt aprop del aeroport. En el nostre cas ens va encaixar perfectament. La ubicació devant de la plantja amb diverses piscines està molt bé.

No erem conscients que hi havia habitacions molt bones i habitacions molt bàsiques, massa. Voliem estar aprop del aeroport, però els avions et passen per sobre fins altes hores amb molt de soroll.

Krásný pláž s mořem. Snídaně byla moc dobrá. Pěkný čistý bazén. Je to blízko do přístavu, jde tam dojít bez problému pěšky.

Zálohu na klíč není možné složit v eurech, ale pouze v thajských bathech, takže když člověk přiletí pozdě večer, kdy už jsou směnárny zavřené, nezbývá mu nic jiného, než vybrat z bankomatu, který si při každém výběru účtuje poplatek...

Ottimo hotel per chi deve prendere aereo o nave il giorno dopo. Ci sono due giardini con due piscine, molto confortevoli, il ristorante è ottimo e il caos della strada è lontano. Ottima la distanza dall'aeroporto (10' di auto) e dal porto (10' a piedi).

Il mare non è bello essendo vicino al porto, meglio la piscina. Il pagamento con carta comporta un aumento non presentatl su booking.

Basic room

Good to stay at if you are just coming into Koh Samui! Great for a night whilst you find your feet. As we opened the window, it literally fell out and smashed, not entirely sure how but we spoke to the reception straight away and without a quibble they moved us immediately, staff are exceptionally warm and provide a professional manner

I would not book this place if you are sensitive to noise, the planes literally fly over the resort, it’s very loud, if you’re not fussy like us it’s fine, it actually was quite funny how loud it was, we couldn’t stop laughing. Also be aware that MOST of the lodges are on the other side of the road (without a view of beach etc….) which isn’t clear when you’re booking.

I like that it had three pools although they were dirty, it was nice looking at them and taking pics of them .

Airplane sounds so strong it is like they’re about land on my head in all the structure. The fan rooms🤦🏻‍♀️ i didn’t even know what they were until i got there and then i see that there is no ac , and besides that there’s absolutely nothing in the room , you can’t call them to give you clean towels because there’s no telephone,A COCKROACH FELL ON MY HEAD as i was entering the bathroom TRAUMATIZING, there’s bad smell everywhere, especially the bathroom, and the shower is clogged, the pools are dirty, there’s not even a kettle in the room . Ahh They also treat you badly . I tried to upgrade the room but they were full so i was literally traumatized 🙂‍↕️

They gave free water and other small things. Also the check-in and check-out were pretty fast. The location also is very good, especially for people which want to go to the pier.

Regarsing the location for people going to the pier: If you want to walk, half of the road you have to carry your lugagge has there are many holes or sand. So think twice if you wouldn't prefer a backpack.

Der Pool am Strand

Leider eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Wir sind sogar eine Nacht früher abgereist, weil es nicht auszuhalten war. Der Fluglärm ist extrem – von früh morgens um 6 Uhr bis spät in die Nacht – sodass Erholung unmöglich war. Hinzu kommt, dass es keine Klimaanlage gibt, was zwar angegeben wurde, aber der Bungalow ist leider nicht abgedichtet, wodurch warme Luft von außen eintritt. Dadurch war es sehr heiß im Zimmer und sämtliche Geräusche von außen waren deutlich zu hören. Die Flugzeuge landen und starten in unmittelbarer Nähe und diese sind direkt über unserem Bungalow geflogen, diese Lautstärke ist unzumutbar, auch ohropax oder Kopfhörer bringen leider nichts. Auf Nachfrage nach einem Zimmerwechsel sollte ein hoher Aufpreis gezahlt werden. Eine Bitte um Erstattung oder eine andere Lösung wurde ebenfalls abgelehnt. Wir mussten schließlich auf eigene Kosten ein anderes Hotel buchen.

I have been staying at the Mermaid for 20 years because it is close to the airport and walking distance to 3 of the ferry piers to Koh Phangan. Therefore, its location is excellent for transferring between KS and KP. I sometimes stay over an extra night. The rooms are good, everything works ok, some with AC some with fan. The beach-side rooms are probably nicer as you have direct access to the beach and 2 swimming pools. The flight path to the airport is almost above the hotel but the rooms are quiet and overnight there are no flights. In my experience, staff always try to help but sometimes my Thai and their English is insufficient to get the answer I am looking for. Be patient. All said, I will carry on using Samui Mermaid as my stop over hotel in KS.

Prices are going up but that is understandable with increasing tourism. KS and KP are noticeably busier. Also, I found the information coming back on my booking unclear and my request for twin beds didn't materialise. Booking.com - maybe look at the level of detail provided. Sorry if it was me who missed the information.

Vi bodde bara en natt i väntan på flyg dagen därpå, och det ligger otroligt nära flygplatsen. Finns två pooler varav den ena var bra och fräsch, den andra inte lika. Ligger på gångavstånd från Bangrak pier så också otroligt bra om man kommer med färja eller ska åka med färja därifrån.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und die Pools sauber. Die Zimmer hatten einen guten Größe.

Man darf die Nähe zum Flughafen nicht unterschätzen, denn wenn die Flugzeuge über die Dächer der Bungalows fliegen ist es ohrenbetäubend laut, dass man jedes Mal dachte das Flugzeug knallt gleich in eines der Häuser. Leider war kein Frühstück enthalten und die Bungalows mit Gartenblick waren sehr weit abgelegen.

The Garden Rooms are right next to a main road and in the flight path. We heard planes through the evening and morning which sounded like they were landing on our roof. We arrived late, and it was very difficult going to sleep. Also, the bed was rock hard.

Der Pool und Strandnähe

Es war absolut unkonfortabel. Die Flugzeuge waren viel zu laut, es hat sich angefühlt, als würden sie durch mein Zimmer durchfliegen. Zudem war es erdrückend heiss in meinem Zimmer. Mir ist bewusst, dass ich ein Zimmer mit Fan gebucht habe, aber dies war wirklich unzumutbar.

Goede locatie, rustige omgeving en zeer beleefd en behulpzaam (Engelssprekend) personeel. Daarnaast hebben ze voor onze huwelijksreis de kamer heel mooi opgemaakt en versierd met o.a. rozenblaadjes.

Prijs is wat aan de hoge kant voor wat ze bieden. Dit maakt de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding wat scheef naar ons idee.

Dos piscinas, muy bien. Buena calidad - precio. La habitación es amplia, ubicación correcta para moverse.

El personal de recepción no fue muy amable en ningún momento. Un día pedimos limpiar la habitación y no vinieron, no dieron ningún tipo de explicación.

ריזורט יפה מאוד, יש 2 בריכות לא נקיות בכלל. בריכה אחת מלאה בירוקת והשנייה מלאה חול ועלים ולא מנקים אותה. השירות שלהם גרוע ממש והצוות לא נחמד תלינו את השלט של הניקיון כשחזרנו לא היה שלט וגם לא ניקו, ביקשנו מגבות ואחרי 3 שעות עלינו שוב לבקש כי לא יכולנו להתקלח והם עשו לנו פרצוף כאילו זה לא בסדר שבאתם שוב. המיקום של המלון רחוק מאוד מהצ'וונג וכל נסיעה לשם זה חצי שעה אז צריך לקחת בחשבון, באופן יחסי היינו קרובים לשוק הדייגים שהיה מקסים ממש ויש בו אחלה של חנויות וגם שוק אוכל כייפי. מול המלון יש את המסג' הכי טוב שעשינו בתאילנד במקום שנקרה sodsay massag וצמוד אליו יש מכבסה ממש טובה שעשינו בה כביסות. צמוד למלון יש את 79 ביץ קלאב ריזורט מעולה ממש אווירה טובה אוכל מטורף, וממש קרוב יש מסעדה לארוחות בוקר מעולות בטירוף שנקראת K.O.B

הדבר היחיד שהיה טוב שזה היה קרוב לשדה תעופה

היחס של העובדים כלפינו ממש לא היה נעים, החדרים שקיבלנו היו מתחת לכל ביקורת, השירותים והמקלחת ממש לא נעימים לשימוש והמים במקלחת מלוחים. ביזיון!!

המרחבים של המלון מהממים. החדרים מאחורה כמו בקיבוץ, שטחי דשא גדולים ומטופחים ובריכה מהממת. גם השטח על החוף מהמם עם בריכות מקסימות על הים.

מיטה קשה מאוד, לא מכניסים לפני 14 למרות שיש חדרים פנויים.

The room is not clean, the shower is dirty The sink is dirty and there is smell in the bathroom. The toilets also smell bad and con clean. And the fresh towels are very old and not clean. The bathtub's flexible hose is rusty and torn. It’s my second time in this hotel, this time I was disappointed, unfortunately I don’t think II’ll come back again. Simple thing, but for has a hotel public relations manager in Israel I noticed them and it makes me very uncomfortable.

The room location right next to the infinity swimming pool and just beyond that the pristine beach

Smell of the drains in the bathroom, mattress a little bit lumpy and the darker floor area around the pool gets so hot, the soles of your wet feet get burnt on it when you get out of the pool. The latter can easily be solved by painting that dark floor area in a lighter white coloured paint. As already stated, I stayed in the beach and pool side area which was sublime, so I don’t know what the accommodation on the other side of the road is like. I see previous other reviews comment negatively about the low flying air craft landing and taking off. I quite liked that and found it quite an exciting spectacle to photo or video. And stops by a certain time at night anyway

The accommodation was really clean and pretty, the resort have 3 swimming pools which one was little bit dirty but nothing what would ruin everything. I really recommend this resort who is looking for relax and chill.
