Das Personal war sehr sehr freundlichen und zugewandt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, besonders das Sauerteigbrot.

The manager was super helpful, responsive and accommodating- sending us all the information we needed as we were staying in the area for a wedding. He went over and above so would like to say Thankyou very much for this. Being a pub, we were so grateful that noise levels were kept minimal. Would definitely recommend a stay here. The breakfast the next morning was delicious too.

Excellent service for the full duration of our stay! The girls maintaining the rooms saved the day by looking for a sewing kit for me, they really went above and beyond. The lady dealing with breakfast on the Friday morning was a loving angel. She was so lovely and prompt with breakfast and lots of tea and coffee after a long day at a wedding the day before! She knew we had a 9 hour drive ahead back to Scotland and offered us water for our journey. She is a credit to The Whyte Hart. As were the cleaning girls. Absolute stars.

Only thing that was a little awkward was, we had planned for a make up artist to attend in the am of the wedding for make up for my mum and myself. In hindsight I should absolutely have made the hotel aware of this, however, the gentleman on duty refused to allow her upstairs to our room and said she could phone us herself. I had talked to her online and she didn’t have my number, the hotel did and I feel it would have taken one moment to give us a call to advise she was there. Luckily I managed to get her and all was well. The rest of the team went above and beyond to make our stay so special, a little give and take would have been appreciated. We have done this in hotels all over and it has never been a problem. I respect the need to protect customers but a quick call would have cleared this up.

Room was great - spotless with all amenities and a comfy bed. Breakfast choice was extensive with gluten free options. Hope we get invited to another do at Froyle Park so we can stay here again.

Ok for one night but no proper drawer space just 3 hangers. No charging point on one side of the bed. The bedroom chair really needs recovering as it’s very stained.

It’s very conveniently located. Not far from Jane Austen’s house. The staff is very nice and the rooms tastefully decorated.

Just like all the other places we stayed in in England the beds are a bit narrow ( standard British beds which are narrower than Continental beds). You have to get used to it.

The staff were friendly, the food was very tasty and well presented. There was an electric fan in our room. This was most welcome, due to the exceptionally warm weather during our stay. There were also some nice little, much appreciated touches. For example a small bottle of still and one of sparkling water. Good quality tea and coffee and biscuits, all of which were replenished daily. A 25 minute walk from the shops in Alton. The car park is a decent size. Bus stop very nearby, but there is only a bus every two hours. The inn was a very relaxing place to be. If you are collecting pilgrimage stamps, Holy Rood church is a 10 minute walk up Church lane. The church has some very unusual brick arched graves and is also linked to the War graves commission. Duck pond adjacent to the church. Some beautiful properties in the area. Lucky people. Chawton House and Jane Austen's house are about 7 minutes drive away. We can recommend a visit to Cassandra's Cup, opposite Jane's house. Chawton was a much more interesting place to visit. Jane's house was too crowded.

Een prachtig verblijf hier op 5 km afstand van het mooie dorpje Camden. Zoveel te lopen als met de auto. Ook Alton city centre is op loopafstand. Gratis parkeergelegenheid, mooie ruime,schone kamers. Zoveel het avond eten als het ontbijt waren heerlijk, alles vers. En ook op het terras kun je heerlijk zitten met een goed boek en drankje... Ook een dikke pluim voor het vriendelijke personeel .

Lovely gastropub with accommodation. Rooms reasonable size, had a fan, windows etc to make it comfortable in summer. Good coffee and tea in room. Comfy bed. Good parking. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff.

The pub had a welcoming vibe, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were lovely and comfortable; there were plenty of pillows, and the blackout curtains ensured a sound night's sleep. The electric fan in the bedroom was a welcomed addition and very much appreciated in these hot summer nights. A good array of tea and coffee sachets were provided in the room, together with bottled water. Restaurant staff were extremely knowledgeable on the South African themed evening menu, and my husband would highly recommend the full rack of ribs. There was a excellent selection of breakfast fare available.

Several issues arose during our stay, which detracted from our overall experience of The White Hart. However, I asked to speak to the owner, who was completely professional; listened carefully to our concerns, and offered genuine apologies and redress.

Convenient location for local places of interest. Room comfy and clean. Staff very helpful .Room had windows open and curtains closed to keep room cool during heat wave and large fan provided. Excellant food available from restaurant. White Heart provided take away breakfast for my early departure which was excellant and extra cold drinks provided.

Das Zimmer war sehr hellhörig, man hörte wenn der Nachbar die Wasser Spülung betätigte oder Duschte ! Weiterhin war das Zimmer auch das Bad zu kalt, bei Einscheibenverglassung und 12°C Außentemperatur !

Service du petit déjeuner est assez minimal . Il faut demander si on veut un jus de fruits ou un yaourt/granola ( excellent :) en plus .

We were looking for a cosy and comfortable overnight venue, not the type of soul-less corporate-style chain hotel or one that hosts events like weddings and seminars... they all seem really awful and characterless. The White Hart ticked all the friendly boxes from the outset with all the staff being most welcoming. The room was okay in a functional way and the bed was a comfortable two-singles-made-up-to-a-superking-size. We had a couple of drinks at the bar, which, with its friendly locals and their dogs, has a great atmosphere. We ate dinner in the restaurant where the food was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent too with a good choice of cooked dishes served in the dining room. Also, our car was secure in the private pub car park behind the property.

I love this place, the room had everything I needed: water, kettle, coffee machine, hairdryer, shampoo, bodywash, conditioner, soap, body lotion. It was very clean and the staff are extremely friendly. Lovely breakfast in the morning. If I were to stay in the area again, I would definitely stay here.

We were visiting Chawton and the hotel was under 10 minutes drive away. We had two bedrooms and one was an upgrade from the standard room booked, the upgraded room was very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was generous and no ce. The kettle and beverages in the rooms were good. Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfy.

The standard room overlooked the front patio and it was noisy with drinkers until about 10.15. I’d recommend requesting a room away from the front if you prefer quiet.

A warm, friendly welcome with a comfy, clean room - perfect after a long day cycling. We also had dinner at the hotel, which was well prepared and tasty!

I never received a reply to my email about charging of e-bikes, and when we arrived, the welcome was non-existent. Luckily another member of staff came and was very helpful.

The pub has a really nice feel and is in a very pretty village. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and although it was really busy staff saw to our check in really quickly. The room was cosy and very clean and the en suite had beautiful soft towels and again was exceptionally clean. There was a nice range of teas and coffee in the room We had booked in for an evening meal which we thoroughly enjoyed. We even received a call prior to our booking to explain that the Sunday roasts were finished which was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was included in the price and once again we couldn’t fault the quality of the food or the choice. All the staff were very nice and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

Charming pub with rooms upstairs. EXTREMELY friendly and helpful staff.

The atmosphere in the bar area and the staff that make it a good place to work they were professional yet kind and caring and excellent banter too. The food was lovely and service was great too. Location was a great base to go off and enjoy the surrounding area's.

Our room was a nice size every we needed was in there. A great bathroom plenty of room the shower was a good size too with liquid hand, shampoo, etc.
