The property was in a lovely village location. Nice old pub.
There is no on site parking. Our room was very noisy it was above the restaurant so had mouse late into the evening and again early in the morning. Not helped by the morning staff coming in and putting music on as soon as as they come in. Someone from the bell needs to stay in that room to see how noisy it is.
Everything: cosy and stylish

Friendly staff Clean bright room Availability of food
Info about parking was misleading. The property does not always offer parking (car park used for outdoor seating except for winter months).
This is a lovely place to stay for a few days rest and relaxation. Caelum and Izzie looked after us royally and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. Thank you guys. The food was also spot on. We will be back.
Nothing
Beautiful location , lovely cottage style accom
All good
Bij mooi weer leuk terras. Mooie kamers Gezellig restaurant
Bij het boeken is het ontbijt inbegrepen. Maar dan blijk je voor het warme ontbijt (ei, spek, worstjes etc) toch te moeten betalen.
Food is first class and the rooms are good
Summer the car park is given over to tables outside and parking in the village is difficult
Gorgeous rooms and great pub
Twice we’ve stayed in two different rooms (once in winter and once in the summer) and found both times we struggled to sleep due to the room feeling stuffy and hot
Beautifully clean and well appointed room. Delicious breakfast
Everything - the location, the food, the staff. We did a very quick stop off halfway through a 6hr journey and it was a beautiful little spot with everything we needed and more.
Nothing - everything was spot on,
The room is fine and is like the photos.
We needed to use the fan, as we could not open the windows because the room was full of moskitos at night and some spiders.
Comfortable bed and clean fresh bed linen A delicious breakfast and attentive staff could not fault
Outdoor tables set for evening bookings with cutlery on top of lovely cotton napkins hence we did not eat Room was really hot on arrival tip would be once the room is cleaned and aired close the curtains to block out the sunlight and keep the room cool
Very nice Inn in a very silent neighbourhood. Very good food and super friendly people running the place
Nothing specific although parking was limited to street parking but the area was not very busy so low risk
We really felt like two weary travelers on a summer's night because the inn was a 16th century building in a small village. As it was a last-minute booking, we were relieved that when we arrived (~8:45pm), they were still serving dinner. There is outdoor patio seating and there were a mix of locals and guests. The food was unbelievably delicious and the staff was very kind. It just so happened to be steak night, so I got a carafe of wine with my steak frites! We happened to stay in the *only room in the pub*; the other rooms (located on the ground floor behind the pub) were fully occupied. The experience was really like going back in time. As expected, the room upstairs was small and very hot. However, it added to its charm. We were able to open the windows a crack and turn on the fan and fortunately the outside temperature dropped to cool the room. The shower is very clean/ modern and the toiletries are nice quality. Plumbing is surprisingly very good. We had a good night's sleep! In the morning, breakfast was included, so we went downstairs to eat in the pub and there was a lovely spread of yogurt, cereal, and toast. You could order hot food for an additional cost.
If you go in the summer, arrive early because you will need to rely on street parking. It is a small village and so be mindful not to be noisy visitors with massive vehicles. If you go in the winter, the outdoor patio is available for guaranteed parking.
we loved the room being off the courtyard with its own outside space at the back. It was great we could bring the dogs, there were great walks on the door step
we were looking forward to a cooked breakfast which we never have at home, that we thought was included in the price, but we were wrong, it was a cold buffet that was in the price a cooked breakfast extra, this was the only slight downwer. We loved the place.
Breakfast was fresh and served in style , coffee not too strong and the selection of breads lovely
may be an earlier start to the day option
Lovely ground floor room Nice staff and great food
Excellent stay - beautiful pub wonderful modern, clean, very comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast and great evening meal. And at a great price! Highly recommend.
All the food served at the Bell was delicious and freshly prepared. I was really pleased to see Perry on the menu as its rarely found elsewhere.
Beautiful location, friendly barmaid and waiters.
Room looked nice on arrival although very warm, but a fan was on so we opened the windows and left it to air. Access was through the restaurant up a quite dangerous staircase. When we went up to bed later we were dismayed to hear the room next doors TV along with their conversation, we really wasn't expecting this for the money we paid. The lights that string the seating area outside really light up the bedroom and dont switch off until midnight. The toilet has a faulty flush, hand soap and towels are lovely, as we only stayed one night we didn't try the shower. The duvet was too hot, the bed and pilllows on the hard side. Staff lock the pub up at the end of the night and leave the site, doesn't seem very safe if there was an emergency. Breakfast nothing special, crossiants, jam, peanut butter, bread, yoghurt, fruit. Meals and drinks expensive with added service charge. Location beautiful with a nice walk through the churchyard. Wouldn't stay again unfortunately.

Cute place, really pretty design features, very welcoming, loved all the big potted plants at the entrance to the room made it feel very welcoming. Liked the modern shower. Had really nice products in bathroom to use, which elevated the space, the bed was very comfy and happily had a fan in the room on arrival, needed in the heatwave. The staff were very friendly and it was pretty and quiet and comfy and clean. Would stay again.
Found it expensive for the facilities - no fridge, nowhere to hang our towels or place things in bathroom and the wooden shampoo stall was very low in bathroom - bending down pulled a muscle! Would be great to have more storage space for clothes, bathroom things and a little fridge in the room! Was expecting a king sized bed (as was advertised on the website)
Great place
Nothing
Restuarant and staff were excellent.
Lovely rooms, excellent breakfast included
Friendly staff, good location
Lovely old pub in a nice location very handy has a bass for sightseeing. Staff great welcoming very clean nice room and on suite great bear garden. Best of all food really nice good choice of menu.
Nothing really very warm in room but they where aware of this fan already in room when arrived
It has a lovely courtyard and is situated in a sweet Cotswold village. The soap in the bathroom and sheets and towels were good quality.
The room was tiny and extremely hot, almost unbearably so. The bed was a normal double rather than queen or king size. They said “breakfast included” but were referring to some low quality sliced bread and croissants. If you want eggs or even sourdough toast you have to pay extra. This was really disappointing and when we brought this up with staff they were defensive, bordering on rude, claimed that it didn’t say “hot breakfast included”. We found the place extremely overpriced, set up to rinse American tourists who happily pay through the roof for something quaint.
Lovely old pub with great food and staff
Rooms on small side and could hear other guests coming and going
Amazing little b&b in a gorgeous, quite village in the heart of the Cotswolds. Room was finished to a really high standard. The pub/restaurant was amazing for dinner as well as the complimentary breakfast. Really 10/10! Thank you for a great stay!
Lovely character building and outdoor dining. Clean rooms with comfortable beds.
The decor could use a bit of updating. No A/C
Location quiet picturesque and perfect for a walk in village and fields on a hot summer's evening . Decent quality food and cooking. Fan in room on arrival. Great ales and ciders.
Water left in the room was undrinkable. Bar staff confirmed this on testing and replaced foc with fresh bottle.
Breakfast good My dinner was excellent. My wife's pizza not so good. Burnt around the edge Should have complained. Great location and ambience
TV would not switch. Fault known to staff.Should have been rectified Shower tray needs a non slip mat or a new non slip shower tray.
Callum and Macy were great! The room was so lovely and a very comfortable bed. Beautiful location and service. We can’t wait to go back!!
Absolutely nothing:)
Very nice
Quite
Basic continental breakfast of good quality. Full breakfast menu available at extra cost. Super decor, friendly staff. Well appointed rooms. Restaraunt
Classic rooms are above the restaurant / bar and very noisy. There are other rooms available away from this area. Good to note. Included breakfast basic.
A lovely rural location, great staff and good food. Room and bed were comfortable and met my expectations.
For continental breakfast I was expecting hams and cheeses rather than a selection of fruits. Gluten free toast, was only toasted on one side, and cold on the other!
Excellent staff Great location to where I was working Food was superb Great character
I did not stay long 👍
Location quiet and accessible
Dark room exceptionally small bathroom
Beautiful little spot
Cute village. Good food. Slept very well. I would definitely recommend this place.
The bedroom was small but really good, with coffee, tea and tasty cookies. The food was excellent the ambience was great
It was booked b&b - but we had to pay extra for cooked breakfast and specialist coffee. The cafetière coffee which came with breakfast was poor. We stayed overnight - but had to pay for our drinks and dinner before we went to bed - this was a real negative.
location was in a lovely village. Room was very clean and quiet. Fresh cookies and coffee maker were a nice touch. Dinner was very good but expensive.
Room was small as was TV. Breakfast was continental only. A cooked breakfast was an extra cost, which was not mentioned in the booking procedure.
Great location. Lovely atmosphere on a summer evening in courtyard
Had to wait to check in longer than expected due to staff shortage
near kelmscott house. in v pretty village
Great inn with nice staff. We really liked the room and the location. The food was also delicious
The room was smelling a bit when we came back from a road trip. I think they have a ventilation problem
Everything was Top Quality ,Service, The Room ,The food All great In a lovely village couldn't ask for more
Nothing was Excellent
Good location.
Walls paper thin. Can hear everything from adjacent rooms.
Lovely little hotel in a beautiful hamlet
None
Food very good although the one scallop dish for £13 was expensive' Staff excellent. very comfortable bed
a place to put underwear and other items that could not be hung. Poor soundproofing of bedroom
Letto super comodo, camera molto carina e pulita, personale cordiale e carino
Lovely pub / restaurant/ beer garden A little pricey but good was decent Rooms were very clean and spacious Beds comfy Showers clean and powerful
Slowing emailing and beer answered phone when trying to make reservations Pricey restaurant
Lovely old building offering intimate dining with a nice menu. Well equipped room with coffee pod machine, comfortable bed, nice sheets, pillows and towels with robes.
Room was above the pub and was a little noisy. They do have other external room. The breakfast was partly set up at 7am but nobody turned up until a little after 730. No access to coffee other than from my room, no bread, milk or butter so could only have dry cereal. After a lively meal the night before, this was a disappointment as I needed to get on the road before 8 and had to skip breakfast as everything was taking too long.
The Bell Inn strikes that rare, perfect balance between a proper local pub and a world class dining destination. The vibe; Flagstaff floors, roaring open fires, mismatched wooden furniture. It feels lived in and authentic. The staff were exceptional. the dining room and bar maintained a relaxed energy, even when the place was packed. Food served in the dining room was cooked to perfection, I would highly recommend the Steak and the Cheese Burger! The room was larger than expected to find, with a large walk in shower room just to finish it off. Picturise setting in a peaceful and tranquil part of the UK.
Couldn't fault a thing.
Very friendly staff, beautiful part of the country
Room 2 is a lovely room, but does get noise from the kitchen/restaurant below.
Beautiful location, such a cute little pub! The cooked breakfast was lush, however the continental there wasn't much variety.
Bedroom very small with paper thin walls, fire exit in our room led to nextdoor room. We could here every conversation room next door had! Coughing all night and woken at 7am to a family member calling them for 40 minute conversation wishing happy birthday. Our room smelt of damp, pillows weren't very comfortable, mirror in bath room was dirty and the bathroom door lock didn't work.
Fantastic food and staff, room was great and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Papers provided and fire already lit for breakfast, perfect Cotswold Inn.
Would be good for hot breakfast to be included in price but the included options were still greatly adequate.
Such a beautiful, old property and incredibly well preserved / kept. Our room was very clean and comfortable and we felt there was strong attention to detail on little things that made it exceptional - like genuinely comfortable beds, great showers, and lovely bathroom products. Also, the staff were lovely, and the food at the restaurant was possibly the best we’ve had at a pub. We also loved the location - cute town and less crowded than others
It is true that some of the rooms can be a bit noisy in the evening from the pub downstairs, but it stops when the pub closes and didn’t bother us too much.
Clean and comfortable.
Rooms had no storage
Great food served in the pub. Friendly staff
Lovely place in the country with a high standard of service and finish
Stayed here a few times, this particular room was at the top of a very narrow staircase. But fun none the less
Pretty friendly, food very good
Beautiful old pub with good restaurant and log fire in a small picturesque Cotswolds village.
Everything. Brilliant food, service and surroundings.
Would have liked to have able to get a hot breakfast with two minutes until it finished but otherwise nothing.
The staff, where it is situated, the rooms
There is nothing I didn’t like
This is a beautiful old pub ,the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and very dog friendly
It said bed and breakfast but the breakfast was continental you had to pay extra for cooked breakfast which it doesn’t tell you when you book it
Amazing stay! The room was high quality & warm. The bed very comfortable. Tea and coffee availble in the room, aswell as bathrobes and such. Highly recomment for a nice, cosy fall getaway! Parking is on-site
Our room was above the restaurant. It closed early, around 22u so we did not have any noise from it while going to bed luckily! But if you're an early sleeper or the restaurant would be open later, be aware or check before making a reservation ;-)
Continental breakfast was great - very fresh croissants and good range of fruit and cereal.

Beautiful pub, friendly professional team.
Can't fault anything
the team where really great and the pub was very idyllic
the breakfast was a little basic and the room was very small
Amazing Inn in small village with really countryside feeling.. Comfy beds, nice design of rooms. Breakfast was nice, with mussli, croissants offered. Warm selection (eggs) was for extra charge.
Bellissima atmosfera da locanda tutto pulito, cibo ottimo, personale gentile e disponibile, tutto tipico delle Cotswolds molto attenti a tutto. Torneremo sicuramente
Breakfast was included however this was only dried fruit, bread, yogurt and coffee cooked breakfast was extra not what was implied in the listing
Location and friendly staff
Loud neighbours, not very sound proof.
Lots of character!
Amazing food, lovely room and very pretty village
We were in a room above the restaurant so was a bit noisy. Also the towel rail on all night with no obvious switch so very toasty
Clean and tidy
Breakfast was not very good charged extra for cooked breakfast rest was poor
Location and property
Being charged for a cooked breakfast. The booking was made with breakfast included. The only 'free' breakfast was a continental type breakfast which is not what we like. There was no mention when booking or on arrival that a cooked breakfast would have to be paid for. Also, evening meal and drinks could not be booked against the room until check out, felt pressurised to pay.
The pub was nice and olde world, the room was clean and well appointed…
On booking dot com. I was told that the restaurant was busy and to book a reservation, which I did by replying to booking . Com When we went to the restaurant in the evening there was no reservation…..according to the restaurant staff they were nothing to do with the Bell Inn and we should have made a reservation with the restaurant itself… This was a first for me I have never heard of such a ridiculous situation before… I then went to the bar to get a drink paid with cash and was told there was not enough change to give me!!!! And could I pay by card, which I declined, the barmaid got very annoyed and went to find some change when I received it it was crumpled up and shoved very unceremoniously into my hand… As luck would have it a cancellation miraculously appeared and we ate in the restaurant….there was also no mention of a continental breakfast, and we had to pay extra for a cooked breakfast…
