Just that the Sauna and bath/onsen was not tattoo friendly but was not that big of a deal

Had difficulty getting blankets to use as we prefer them to a doona. Not usually a problem in other hotels but reception staff here not really happy to oblige. Otherwise no other negatives.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026La habitación estaba muy bien sobre todo las vistas, el onsen también, lo mejor la ubicación. Tiene justo en la puerta un ascensor que te baja a un pasillo que va directo y subterráneo a la estación de Osaka. También un Family Mark con todo lo necesario.
Nada, todo fue perfecto, incluso nos dejamos olvidada una chaqueta en el armario y pude pasar por ella días después del check out.

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026Hotel Monterey Le Frere is in excellent location, very accessible to Osaka's main train station with lots of restaurants and stores near by. Able to access most of Osaka main attractions easily through train or bus. The room was a good size with a seating area. Comfortable beds and two pillows each. The beds were high enough to enable you to store your luggage under the bed and keep the room clear.
Bathroom was very functional, shower over bath is good, but the room could have a little more bench or shelf space to put your toiletries and a towel rail to hang towels. 2 hooks on back of door leave towels a fair reach from bath. The door to bathroom opens out so could put towel rail on the inner wall without impeding the door.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026KAHVALTI fevkalade, muhteşem. Hem çok çeşitli, hem çok lezzetliydi. Resepsiyondaki Ryu’ya yardımlarından dolayı çok teşekkür ederiz. Odalar temizdi, housekeeperler tatlıydı. Hemen altındaki Lawson market de artılardan biri.
Konumu ana metroya 15 dk yürüme mesafesinde, biraz daha yakın olabilirdi.

Reviewed Jul 4, 2026Great location, close to Osaka Station, a lot of shopping and restaurants in 5 minutes walking distance. Very clean and fully equipped, nice staff and free public bath.
Room is a bit small for three persons, but it’s common in big Japanese city, so acceptable.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2026I had an amazing time in Osaka, specially staying at Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka. The hotel staff were kind, helpful and accommodating. They ensured that my stay was seamless and nothing short of memorable. I would like to commend on how impeccable they were with their services specially room service and cleanliness. I would love to travel again to Japan and come back to this place.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026Die Lage ist tiptop. Betten waren sehr bequem, vor der Tür befindet sich direkt ein Lawson, da wir nicht das Frühstück im Hotel genutzt haben.
Der Onsen ist sehr klein, gemessen an der Größe des Hotels. Wir waren insgesamt 3x im Onsen, jedes Mal zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten (21, 22 und 23 Uhr) und es war jedes Mal so voll, dass wir auf einen Waschplatz warten mussten. Es war leider auch nicht die Ruhe, die sonst im Onsen herrscht. Zudem ist es extrem nervig, dass der Fahrstuhl immer automatisch im Stockwerk der Rezeption hält, obwohl man dort nicht hin möchte!

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Hôtel super bien situé, à deux pas de l’entrée du souterrain menant à toutes les lignes de métro et du train. Pyjamas, brosse à dents et à cheveux, rasoir, cotons, tout est mis à disposition. Petit déjeuner frais japonais. Personnel agréable et efficace. Chambre à 3 suffisante. Possibilité de mettre les valises sous les lits. Salle de bain un peu petite. Les matelas un peu durs. Mais vraiment un séjour très agréable.

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026I liked that we were able to get 2 connecting rooms for 4 people. The location is excellent with train station, malls and restaurants nearby. Lawson and pharmacy next to hitel entrance. Breakfast was ok but not great like Monterey Grasmere

Wasn’t able to use the Spa because of Tattoos and wasn’t able to book couple massage which was very disappointing 😭😭😭😭

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026For our companies, it was quite conveniently located as it situated in the entertainment commercial district. Also close to the station. Good security practice with keycard system.
The communal lounge space was limited and only available during the certain hours. As we were travelling with other couple, we wanted to have more common space to be able to talk etc. as the room was squashy. The staff were all very plain, no emotions. I didn't feel welcomed. The laundry system was helpful but only few available and so many guests were using it. The dryers weren't properly monitored/maintained and I cleaned the filters for everyone of them. (My hair covered with the fluffy things)

I mean the only thing was I couldn’t use the bath. I have a tattoo and it’s too big to cover up. It’s the only thing I can think of that I didn’t like about the property other than that it was lovely. I would stay there again if I didn’t have a tattoo.

Waiting for the elevator each time but it is more on customers usage who stops at any levels to get off to request another elevator.
