The room was big and comfortable, located in the courtyard outside which was ideal with the dog. Great central location in the heart of Moffat and very nice food! We had a great time.

The bathroom was slightly outdated and there was no hairdryer in the room.

All the staff are amazing,so friendly very helpful and go above and beyond such a relaxing place to stay.we had breakfast and evening meal and both 100% lovely home cooked food,excellent quality and very reasonably priced. Great location for all amenities a superb little market town. It's our 3rd visit to the annandale and definitely not our last. Thankyou all very much.

Convenient location in centre of Moffat. They gave me an upper floor room as requested. Room was clean and well-decorated. Tea/coffee, biscuits, tele, toiletries Comfortable bed. Quiet

All the parking was taken by the time I arrived, so I had to park in the street. Lengthy communal corridors, all very shabby.

So quirky & historical it’s amazing. ❤️ The staff are amazing & such great ambassadors for the hotel. They are so friendly & knowledgeable & hardworking it’s a treat to stay here.

It’s really not dislike considering the age of the building but WiFi a bit of a challenge 😄 and the staff are so honest about it.

Lovely old hotel in a great location. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable but in need of a few repairs eg. windows, bathroom. We enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. Overall, a good night's stay.

The staff were all very friendly and efficient. The dog friendly bar area is nicely furnished and comfortable. The rooms were large, nicely decorated with comfy beds.

The dog friendly rooms are 'outside' - first impressions were of old fashioned American motel rooms! They were superficially clean but tired and a little grubby in places.

The stay was wonderful we really enjoyed it. The breakfast was really tasty and good value for money . . The staff were very friendly and welcoming especially to Holly our 7 month old Jack Russell pup Can you say a big Thank you to the cleaners who were really friendly and welcoming to Holly She missed the cuddles this morning once back home .

Initial Look of the bedroom when I walked in, stunning!. Building was impressive. Meal was amazing.. free parking, I did however park opposite the hotel. Great location.

Bathroom was a slight disappointment. There were a few niggles that I mentioned to staff upon leaving. . Worst for me was the extremely strong scent of the bed sheets, pillows etc. It gave me a migraine unfortunately being so close to these items trying to sleep. My issue obviously but just thought I'd mention it. Shame as the actual bedroom was stunning.

The staff were very helpful and the food was amazing. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. Bathroom needs an update but again very clean and a good size. Car park was large. We had a good stay.

The hotel room was a little bit tired but you can see that the hotel is being improved. In time it will be a really beautiful place to stay.

A nice touch was having bottled water in the room and a copy of the menu. Ample storage space. The Hotel has recently undergone a refurb and is clean and comfortable.

I can’t find anything negative to say about the Annandale

Visiting Moffat to see old friends we dined for two nights at the Annandale Arms Hotel and what a fantastic experience it was. The food on both nights was absolutely outstanding and could not be faulted. The staff, Hannah and Keiran were both friendly and courteous and made our evenings even more enjoyable. Our thanks go to Rob & Dan the owners for running such a lovely hotel.

Location was perfect, food was great and staff were lovely . The room was tastefully decorated and clean , a bit on the small side but a huge en-suite bathroom.

The quilt on the bed was way too hot for the season but I guess this is a problem in a lot of hotels.

We didn't have breakfast but were delighted with everything at the Annandale Arms. From the welcome from Kieran to the bar person and the lovely lady who served our dinner (sorry I should have asked your names), the service was everything one could hope for. So friendly and efficient. The dinner was just delicious, we had the chicken in tarragon sauce, followed by a lemon cheesecake. So tasty. Our room was spacious and had a bath, not always the case and we slept like tops. We'll be back!

We had a carvery here on Sunday and it was the best we've ever had. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We loved it that much the 5 of us went back for a 3 course meal the next night. Highly recommend and can't wait to go again.

Lovely location, great restaurant with fantastic food. Well stocked bar, comfortable rooms and wonderful friendly staff. Close to shops and other amenities and only a 20 minute walk to Moffat distillery.

The staff went out of their way to be as friendly kind and as helpful as is possible and we were made to feel very welcome. Communication had been excellent since booking. The dog friendly room was spacious and clean. The location of the hotel is excellent and we had a quiet room at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was freshly cooked and eggs done to perfection! We will definitely stay again.

The bathroom was a little dated generally with limited pressure in the shower. You had to step into the bath to get to the shower.

Lovely central hotel, good value for money, we had booked a twin room as that was the only room available when we booked, but the lovely receptionist managed to get us a double room when we arrived. A good sized room with a large airy bathroom.

Lovely hotel right in the heart of the town. Ate in the restaurant on both evenings we were there, and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Good lively bar following dinner. The rooms were very comfortable and modern, which I believe had been relatively recently renovated to a high standard. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The Annandale hotel is along the A 701. The road is more scenic than generally perceived. We traveled along this route while on our way to the Scottish Highlands. Anyway, we booked a room at Annandale. They were so kind to leave the room open for us: the lights were on, and key was on the bedside table when we arrived. We were expected to arrive late: we did arrive around midnight. The next morning, we had a nice cup of coffee along the back yard, and left early on. The backyard looks towards beautiful meadows ... with nice comfortable seating in a courtyard. We enjoyed our coffee in the back yard, early on and left. A comfortable stay, at a reasonable cost.

The location and the hospitality of Heather & Graham, who were very friendly and helpful nothing was a problem.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Moffat. Nice friendly staff. Great bar and restaurant. We had a courtyard room as we had our dog Elsie with us. Own front door to room. Looking on to beer garden. Modern and cosey room. We pointed out that the shower wasn't working properly. The plumber was going to fix it as we left. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a fab stay.

I spent two nights at the Annandale arms hotel with my elderly mother and what a fabulous hotel it is. We had a very comfortable bedroom with comfy beds and lovely bathroom, all nicely decorated. Superb hospitality from every member of staff we met - not forgetting the front of house boss and the gorgeous cockapoo Dale (who we weren’t aloud to take home ☹️) A great stop off just off the motorway, free parking and lovely town - highly recommended

Zugang zu den Zimmern sehr verwinkelt und schmal. War für uns trotz relativ viel Gepäck ok, könnte eingeschränktere Gäste allerdings vor Herausforderungen stellen.

Really enjoyed our stay we were allocated a garden room which had a table and chairs outside the door and a lovely beer garden. The room was very spacious the bed and the pillows were very comfy. A great location in such a lovely town, will definitely return to this lovely hotel next time we visit Moffat.

Ich hatte das Zimmer für eine Übernachtung auf dem Weg von Edinburgh in den Lake District genutzt. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß und modern; ich war nur zu spät, um am späten Sonntagabend in Moffat noch etwas zu essen zu bekommen – die Öffnungszeiten der Küche waren aber im Vorfeld bekannt, von daher kein Vorwurf. Steckdosen am Bett waren auch vorhanden. Ruhiges Zimmer. Parken vor dem Hotel war kein Problem, es gibt auch einen eigenen Hotelparkplatz. Nettes, hilfsbereites Personal.

Das Doppelbett war bequem, hätte aber – wie so oft – etwas breiter sein können. Normale Bettbreite für ein Hotelzimmer.

We ate at the Annandale tonight and it was outstanding. The service was great, the wine was amazing & the food was delicious. Fantastic value for money in a lovely setting. First time eating here but will definitely be back.
