Marumine Kanko Hotel

Excellent hotel experience that felt more like a ryokan than a hotel. The instructions from staff were clear and easy to understand and it was easy to navigate the hotel. I really enjoyed the large room we booked, which included an excellent private bath area. Our room was also quite large which is more than enough to host a large family with ease. I also had an opportunity to use the open-air bath area and it was such a pleasant experience! I particularly enjoyed the rest area and the coffee milk.

Unfortunately, this is an older hotel as some room furnishings appear dated or in need of repair. There were also a godly amount of insects/bugs we experienced throughout our stay in our room and it was such a frustrating/anxious-inducing/distracting experience.

The open air onsen (woman only) was very nice,, the view from the room was good, the place provided yukata, towels and tabi socks. Breakfast had a lot of options. Good parking possibilities. Very spacious and comfy lobby. The Souvenir shop was convenient and had good stuff.

The elevator (old) but it's a minor thing and a personal preference

Nous étions dans un grand appartement (Yayoi) avec un salon, une chambre et une salle avec un kotatsu au centre, un bain privé. Au-delà de la chambre, nous avons eu une expérience exceptionnelle : qualité des bains, de la restauration, amabilité du personnel. Une vraie pépite !

リーズナブルでよく整備清掃ご行き届いている。また施設が広々としていてせせこましさがない感じがとてもよい。駐車場も広い。

風呂へ行くたびにスリッパを持っていかれるのには参った。食事は美味しかったがメニューがいまひとつだったのと、会場ではお子さん連れとは少し離してほしかった（子どもではなく、テーブル周りで親がバタバタ動き回り、頭上で手を振り回したりされるのがとても嫌だった）

We loved our stay here, in the Traditional Japanese style room. Great experience. The view was something I've never experienced before. The buffet was pricey, but the food was great. The coffee machines were great, as well as the games room where there is table tennis and massage chairs with a great view. Staff were great and accommodating to our needs.

Massage located in a loud and semi public area with the door open. Great massage but the noise of nearby guests playing ping pong was not relaxing.

The staff was very nice. The view of the mountain from the room was very enjoyable. The quality of the buffet in the morning and evening was excellent. The amenity monju cakes in the room were really good.

I usually like sleeping on futons, but these ones were a bit too firm for me. The smell of the tatami was particularly strong, which was a little unpleasant. The ceiling light in the room was beautiful, but unfortunately the light itself was very white and cold. It felt quite harsh at night, and a warmer tone would have been much nicer. No water bottle in the room :( The public bath was great, but the pictures were a little misleading. It looks well-maintained in the photos, whereas in reality it feels somewhat dated.

The location and the view were great. You can see the entire valley from the room we rented. The hot springs were open all day as well, and the outdoor ones were refreshing.

There seems to be a bug with how you order with a big family. The system automatically offers 2 rooms and divides the party. So, if you select another room, it doesn't count all the people and you will end up paying extra. The elevator door also seems to close too quickly and it's dangerous.

別館は大浴場、食事会場が遠いです。その反面渓流の眺めが素晴らしいです。

スタッフの方皆さん親切でした。 ビュッフェのお料理どれも美味しく、オープンキッチンなど目でも楽しかったです

しっかりしたホテル（旅館）というイメージです 従業員の方がどなたも親切で笑顔で対応してください、これはホテルの財産だなーと感じました 新しいホテルではありませんが、手入れがされているなと感じます そして、何よりご飯が美味しい！ 朝ごはんで目の前で手作りしてくださるおにぎりもとっても美味しかったです！

特にないのですが… しいて言うなら、お風呂にアブがいたことかな あと、洗顔のボトルのプッシュが壊れていて出てこなかったものがありましたが、そんなことは別にマイナスの評価になるようなことではないと思っています 帰り際、フロントにボトル壊れてましたよーって声かけておけばよかったなと思っております…

客室の露天風呂が良かった

申し込みをした際の夕食が個室会食でしたがバイキングですと言われ、予約内容と違うと抗議しましたが要求は受け入れられず1日目の夕食はバイキングとなり、2日目は個室会食に変更していただきましたが、残念ながら納得がいきませんでした。

風呂が広くて綺麗、空いていて良かった。朝食はメニューが多く、全般的には良かった。

布団の寝心地がイマイチで疲れがとれなかった。朝食の飲み物について、美味しいコーヒーと果汁の多いオレンジジュース、アップルジュースが欲しい。

The mountains are beautiful and the general design of the hotel is beautiful. The buffet for breakfast and dinner is quite amazing.

There is only one bus that comes by to and from Koriyama station once a day. I missed the afternoon bus and needed to book the free shuttle service, however the hotel ignored my messages all day. I had to have a local friend phone the hotel to tell them to reply to me. I spent a lot of money for two nights and the room they put me in had a horrible view,the door lock barely worked, and I had no hot water. I had to tell the staff twice that I had no hot water and was told to just leave it running. Eventually, I demanded a new room. This room had a better view, but still had barely any hot water. The shower on full hot was cool. The futon mattresses were super thin and uncomfortable. People with tattoos can’t use the public baths and have to pay extra for a private onsen. There is nothing nearby, unless you’re driving. I think my room was worth less than half what I paid for it and I’m disappointed that I wasted my money on this hotel.

老朽化しているところいくつか、特に本館の客室（清潔ですが）。建具や壁の細かい修理は丁寧にした方がいいのでは？と思った。

They had my private outdoor onsen ready when I arrive, that made a difference after being on the road for 4hrs.

My room was a little smelly, it felt like a smokers room. So maybe a flyscreen for the back balcony to airout the roon would address that issue. The furniture was also very old, one of the arm chairs in my room was torn, which did not leave a good impression of the upkeep of the place.

Un des meilleurs hôtels qu'on a faits au Japon. L'hôtel est superbe, décoré avec goût et avec beaucoup de choses à voir (on peut flâner dans les couloirs en admirant des œuvres d'art). La chambre était bien grande et fonctionnelle. Le bain privé était top, avec une vue imprenable sur la rivière. Le buffet était excellent, au soir comme au petit déjeuner.

ご飯がブッフェで食べたい量だけ食べれたのも良かった。 お部屋もとても綺麗で清潔感もあり、畳の匂いが心地良かった。ホテルの方もとても丁寧で親切で気持ち良く過ごせました。

部屋の遮音性が高いため、隣の物音等を気にする事なく静かに過ごす事ができる。

全体的に設備関係は古めで、経年劣化は否めない。 パッと見ると清掃が行き届いているように見えるが、お金を掛けるメンテナンスは疎かになってしまっている印象。部屋の照明器具内に多数の虫の死骸が放置されている。部屋備え付けの浴槽に湯を張ったが、前利用者の垢？のような物が浴槽内に大量にこびり付いており、気分が悪くなった。連泊であったため、外出時に状況を伝えて入念清掃をお願いしたが、全く掃除されておらず、状況は変わらなかった。

We had a room with a private onsen on the balcony overlooking the river, and a massage chair. It was the best hotel stay of our 2 weeks’ trip to Japan with a stay at 8 hotels. The buffet dinner and breakfast were plentiful and had something for everyone. We liked the welcome drink corner at the lobby too. The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We drove to the hotel though the hotel does provide bus shuttle to a nearby train station.

NOTHING - BE AWARE. as a builer in australia i quickly realised that this building is about 60 years old and in disrepair. The room smelt badly of mould to the point of making me ill. The gentlemen that worked there and was helping me was embarrassed. He was also aware of the issue.

A lot of the fan vent were full of dust & if you looked a little closer at the room, elevator etc you can see that this place has not cleaned to a high standard for a long time. As i mentioned though it is an old building and in my professional opinion needs severe renovations or to be demolished and rebuilt. It is actually quite distusting. I dont generally leave such strong reviews however in this instance it is very well justified. The cyprus onsen has been puttied together as over the years i would say the hot water has swollen the timbers to the point of leaking. Small give aways are the foyer window that when you look out looks nice. when you look from the other window on the angle you see behind the plastic bamboo panelling (outside) and can see the original deck area that looks like it has been left for the forest to consume. I have attempted to contact the hotel to ask for a refund as i left the next morning as the staff member even kindly suggested. No response at all. I have been firm & kind in my approach as i feel it is well justified. All i asked was for a refund of the night i did not stay. It is unfortunate that this little village is in disrepair. something i have noticed & spoken with locals about. As usual young people head towards the larger cities to experience life, which leaves the smaller villages with an ageing population & struggling tourism. For me this is sad, however it is the same in the Australian outback. If you have an respiratory sensitivities i would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

Our room has great view of nature and river and also has onsen baths inside with this beautiful view. The buffet style of breakfast and dinner are a great varieties of food and good quality and tasty.

Chambre fantastique avec vue imprenable sur la forêt et la rivière. Bains (onsen) très agréables. Bon buffet pour le dîner et le petit déjeuner.

Ryokan style, old hotel style but still good. The room is big enough for 4 people. Too bad we only stay 1 night and cannot enjoy the onsen 😞. The breakfast is a spread and many choices for japanese food and a bit of western food. If we are visiting this area again, I will chooxe to stay in this hotel again and enjoy the onsen.

The location is a bit far from everywhere but if you are driving a car it is not a problem

O banho de água termal é excepcional, com uma vista belíssima. As refeições são ótimas, com um buffet de pratos variados e saborosos. O serviço de transfer que leva e traz os hóspedes para a estação de trem mais próxima é excelente.

Loved the continuously flowing cedar tub in the room with the view over the valley...I barely bothered with the hotel sentos (although they were nice). Comfortable room with a good dinner and breakfast. Definitely opt for the meal plan for dinner, but if you want to skip breakfast there's a konbini a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

Das japanische Zimmer war groß und wir hatten mit Blick auf den Fluss gebucht. Es gibt zwei verschiedene Onsenbereiche. Einem im Hauptgaus ( Aussenonsen / Rotemburo ) und ein kleines ( Indooronsen ) im Nebengebäude. Oder man bucht ein Zimmer mit privatem Onsen. Frühstück und Abendessen vom Buffet. Qualität war ganz gut.

The highlight of my month trip in Japan. The view from the private onsen was phenomenal.

Nothing wrong with the hotel. Just don't leave the door open accidentally, especially if the lights are on. We did it briefly by mistake at night and a few bugs came in.

Have stayed several times! Wonderful property. Always an enjoyable experience. My babies enjoy the futons the most.

夕食のバイキング、到着時に時間の指定。その時間より遅れてご案内され、途中でラストオーダーと言われ、バタバタと夕食を終えました。 混んでる時期は仕方ないですが、少し残念でした。

館内が装飾品を含め、豪華できれいな印象を持ちました。お部屋は相当な年数を感じるところでしたが、宿泊代からすれば全体として十分満足がいくものでした。特に朝食のビュッフェが良かったです。

Very nice hotel, the spa services are wonderful and the staff was very helpful in booking them. The onsens are very pleasant and large. There is also a wonderful little ramen shop only 2km away with the most amazing handmade noodles.

本館から新館への行き方がはじめはややこしいと感じたがすぐに慣れた。高齢者には少しきついかもしれない。

温泉が大変ヨカッタ。大浴場は広くゆったり、別館の檜風呂はそれ程狭くはなく、趣があり゙ました。部屋の露天風呂は、とろっと肌に優しい感じで、大変気持ち良く、一日中かけ流したままのお風呂に何度も入りました。迫りくる山と眼下に見える川の景色も素晴らしかったです。 朝食バイキングは、地元の食材を使った料理など種類も多く、美味しかった。全部食べられなくて残念。遅い到着で、夕食ナシだったため、コレまた残念でした。 また、会津ならではの装飾や展示を興味深く見させていただきました。

接客の対応が良かった。

浴場のお湯が、使うカランで水だったりお湯だったりとなっていた。

バイキングの種類も多く、美味しかった。 平日だったので、大浴場も混雑せずリラックスできました。

チェックインの際、夕食時間の選択肢が無く17:40指定。 事前にお知らせ頂ければ、ランチタイムの調整も出来たのに、残念。

The cleanliness and the how spacious the onsens are.

It's a little from major towns, you would have to drive there. It takes 30 mins by drive to find any restaurants or shops.

露天風呂付きのお部屋最高でした！ １階だったので景色が不安でしたが、 宿自体の標高が少し高い？おかげで景色もすごく良かったです

仕方ないことですが、露天風呂の浴槽が朽ちてました。 これも仕方ないですが、蚊が部屋に入ってきてしまい大変でした。
