SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Downtown

The location is absolutely fantastic if you are visiting the Georgia Aquarium as we were—directly across the street. The staff at the hotel were kind, attentive, and very helpful.

There is no way to pull a vehicle up to the front of the hotel, because it is directly on the road with a bike path in front. We went around the block twice before realizing you have to pull into the Valet Parking garage to get into the hotel or unload luggage. Clearer signage would really help. Our Uber drivers also did not understand how to pick up or drop off, since the Uber point sign is in the bike lane out front. The room wasn’t really anything special, and there was no night light in the bathroom, so you had to flip on the full light to see in the middle of the night.

Although employees was very pleasant and helpful. Especially Tye in housekeeper, went above and beyond to help also front desk

The bathroom had a musty odor and it took at least 10 to 15 minutes for the hot water to warm up to get hot

The hot water wasn't hot. The pillows aren't any good. Either they need more valet parking staff or a better parking system.

The staff at this hotel is absolutely amazing, and I especially want to recognize Ruby, who went above and beyond to help me resolve an issue with a mistake I made when booking my room. She was incredibly helpful and patient over the phone and made what could have been a stressful situation so easy to fix. Customer service like that really makes a difference! The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, close to everything, and the staff was also great about sharing helpful local tips, from restaurant recommendations to even letting guests know the best times to request an Uber to avoid the event-related price surges in town. Those little extra touches really stood out. For a brand-new hotel, they truly have their stuff together. Everything felt well organized, and the staff clearly cares about making sure guests have a great experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I’ll absolutely consider staying here again!

Water was cold. One valet attendant was rude.

The hotel staff was friendly and professional as was the valet attendee Webb… The valet parking was in a very confined area and difficult to maneuver your vehicle. The hotel room was clean and comfortable but the drawback was the shower water temperature was lukewarm, but otherwise a pleasant stay.

From the moment I pulled up at valet parking and was met by the most cheerful valet, Chantrece to when I checked in with the fabulous front desk clerk, Ruby, I knew I was in for a great stay. My room was perfect and being directly across the street from the Georgia aquarium made my stay super convenient for the event I was attending.

Excellent room on corner, very spacious and clean. Biggest room I’ve gotten for a reasonable price. Very wheelchair accessible. Had a microwave and mid/size fridge. Ruby (desk manager) was excellent at working through reservation IT issues so we didn’t change rooms mid-way. Jayden and Chantrece in valet were superb with total service with a glowing smile even during high traffic periods. Adjacent to all the attractions and good restaurants. Amazing stay!

This hotel is one of the worst. The receptionist ladies were nice and efficient however, upon arriving to my room, the key card didn’t work so I had to go back downstairs wait in line again to obtain activation of my key card we were pressed for time. I immediately I got in the shower. The door handle fell off. The faucet broke. I had to take a cold shower. The TV did not work. maintenance did come up and fix the TV. There was no extra blanket in the closet. Housekeeping did arrive to bring the blanket. Upon informing the night audit about my concerns he expressed there were no indication that there were problems in the room. The staff would know only when it’s reported I was blown away by this because the staff had to clean the shower open the door to realize the handle was broke and the faucet knob. I didn’t sleep there I checked out.

We liked the location because it is close to the aquarium and the bus line is in front of the hotel. The staff are very attentive - they are the best thing about it.

The room was meant to be cleaned every other day. we were there for 7 nights and it was only cleaned twice. The mattress needs changing because it sags where people usually sleep - I ended up sleeping in the centre of the bed which was fine, but if there were two people than it's uncomfortable.

Parking was a nightmare in itself with mandatory valet & 55$ per day to park at a hotel you’re already paying for that didn’t disclose the additional parking cost. Room was extremely uncomfortable and even all the way up on the 9th floor nearby bars music kept us up into the early morning. We got no sleep and decided to cut our trip short and checked out early. The front desk initially told us they would refund us for the cancelled nights after they spoke with house keeping. We kept our room extremely clean and housekeeping confirmed that. The front desk then came back and said we can’t refund because you prepaid through booking.com so you’d have to contact them, so we did. Got on the phone with booking.com’s customer service and they said they would refund us as long as the front desk confirmed the early check out & refund but when booking.com called the front desk they denied the refund entirely. Not sure why they told us to call and then lied to us about the refund entirely? needless to say… we will not be returning nor recommending this hotel to anyone.

The best valet crew in Atlanta. Shantrece and Ty were amazing! They were very accommodating and friendly. Very approachable. They need a bonus for all that they do and especially in this Atlanta heat this weekend Shout out to Shantrece!!!

Location is great is you're planning to visit the aquarium and are staying with kids.

It was my birthday trip and the staff was amazing from start to finish. I asked for names because I wanted to be sure they knew how amazing they were. Keiara I believe was the one who greeted us when we first arrived. She was a sweet young girl. Jamandi wqs with her and she accommodate us right when we checked in. Zamyah may have been the one who checked us out and assist with the pool. This location does not have one however with walked to the Hilton, their sister property which was only a 2 minute walk. We were not pleased about the parking attendees when we initially arrive. But on Friday or Saturday is when Chantrece returned and I felt like she was the supervisor because she had everybody on go and got our vehicles in and out. When we left on Sunday Jayden or Jaylen helped us with our bags. He was the only one because no one helped us when we arrived. I give them 10 stars. It was a great stay

Property was fine, volume on the television did not work well even after the maintenance guy came.

Easily worth the price. We stayed a night, very welcoming team, clean rooms, right next to the aquarium, and you can buy anytime tickets right from the front desk! The valet team, specifically Deamontay, was courteous, respectful, and quick. The front desk provided plenty of information on the surrounding area, and where we could grab a bite to eat. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Walking distance to GA Aquarium. Free breakfast was good quality. Valet parking was fairly easy and attendants were nice. Hotel staff were nice. On-site laundry proved to be handy.

Staff were nice, but not overly accommodating. The tagline claiming this is an all-suite hotel is a little misleading. Our “suite” was smaller than some standard rooms. I am never overly enthused about letting someone else park my car, but valet was the only option for onsite parking. Likely due to the compact design of the garage. From 6th floor there was still quite a bit of noise from the street. Not really the fault of the hotel— more a byproduct of the location. If you are traveling with kids or a delicate sleeper, might be an issue.

Overall energy of the place was great valet was great and had car ready every time🫡🫡🫡

July 4th, 2026 was no typical day in Atlanta Georgia. I was able to successfully ride my mobility scooter to a nearby Marriott Bonvoy property. As a retired contractor, I often use my old Marriott Bonvoy account to book my hotels. Today, I was greeted by Myah at the front desk. I asked her if I could get her to verify how many points were in my Marriott Bonvoy account. She couldn't. As a courtesy, Myah allowed me to go to the Valet station to charge my mobility scooter and my portable generator. Another courtesy came from Deborah prounced Dee Boar Rah, allowed me to fill up my water bottles with filtered cold water. This was a big deal for me, because last night I had to sleep in a tent ⛺️ nearby. My courtesy to their staff was to give them a fair and impartial Tripadvisor review. I loved the intimacy of this location, and the collective interaction with the Front desk, hospitality department, and the Valet. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to downtown Atlanta, the aquarium, musuems, and Mellow Mushroom 🍄 is all within steps to a 13 minute walk. This property is great for people with impairments and disabilities. I also plan to personally contact Marriott Bonvoy Elite to have her transferred to The Ritz Carlton brand in downtown Atlanta on West Peachtree and Ellis Street. This SpingHill Suite, provides suburb amenities, accommodations and customer like a five star Marriott Bonvoy property. I wish my ex boyfriend Percy was here with me to celebrate his Birthday today. This location is great for social occasions, business meetings, and family time.

For a smoke free supposed location the sheets reeked of cigarettes. I never saw a smile from a single staff member. We paid 55 dollars extra for valet and was never available when we needed help or seemed annoyed when asked. Paid for a bigger room when for my family and my children kept getting g injured on the jagged non movable furniture. This stay was so bad and misleading we almost left and went home 8 hrs away.

Good location. Staff is good, service is also good. The property needs to be updated, it’s falling apart - see pictures. Bathroom shower handle literally fell out. Shampoo etc bottles didn’t work property (pump broken). Valet only - system works well.

The staff made such a great impression that I’m doing this review and I just checked in 30 min ago. Our valet attendant, Cherry was very patient with us as we navigated getting checked in. The front desk employee Robert was more than helpful and also showed me how to apply my AAA discount. Everything looks the same as it does on the website as well.

Ruby at the front desk, and all the staff we encountered were very hospitable. The location beside the Aquarium and Centennial Park is very convenient because you don't want to drive and park in downtown if you don't have to. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel.

The hotel was fully booked for a world cup match but the service was on point and amenities were spotless. Shoutout to Chantrece from the valet service who was very efficient and worked very hard.

We had a birthday getaway with friends for her daughters birthday at the Springhill Suites in downtown Atlanta. Valet and hotel were amazing everyone was so nice and help and the rooms were clean.

Huge thanks to Mya for helping us with a reservation issue prior to our stay. She was friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful from the moment I spoke with her. I’ve been a Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Silver Elite member for years and have stayed at many Marriott hotels, and Mya’s customer service was truly exceptional. She took ownership of the issue, kept us informed, and made sure everything was resolved quickly. She turned what could have been a stressful situation into an easy one. People like Mya are the reason guests keep coming back. Thank you for going above and beyond!

We stayed at this hotel over the weekend to visit the aquarium. It’s directly across the street so that made everything super easy. Upon arrival, Deamontay, with the valet team was wonderful. He opened everyone’s doors and even offered to assist with our bags. He was very professional and the service from the valet team was very quick each time we needed access to the car. Upon check in, we had a couple of issues with the rooms but Ruby, at the front desk, was amazing. She found quick solutions and made sure that we were happy with the changes. Every time she saw us in the lobby she called us by name and asked if we were enjoying our stay. The rooms were nice and quiet. The breakfast in the morning was great to have as well. Thank you Ruby!

The valet was quick & kind. Personable people are important in hospitality.

First off, when you walk into the hotel, it smells like urine. I had to wait awhile as the check-in process was slow. Customer service was good but check in process was a little unorganized. I checked in and went into my room, instantly noticing debris. Signs of a previous guest when you are checking in is not a good sign. The bed was dirty, pillowcases weren’t fresh or changed. Dust was everywhere, a sticky substance near the stand under the TV. Makeup & food stains on the sheets, bottom cover was all torn up. I was not satisfied with this experience. I went down to the front desk and was switched to a new room. The new room also had a few issues. Headboard was ripped and scratched (very noticeable) Dusty and there is a dripping sound coming from the ceiling. A/C is loud and street noise is EXTREMELY loud. If you are a light sleeper, you will not enjoy this. To make matters worse, the TV did not work and also had the incorrect guest name on it! I was worried that someone else might walk in on me. The breakfast was dry and unimpressive. I only received an apology for the uncleanliness. No compensation or credit extended for your inconvenience is not right. Organization is important & this place lacks such skills.

The room had stains on sheets and on the blinds. Also bed side tables was highly dusty. Also time walking in remote was falling apart. Headboard all scratched up and peeling above head. Also after night one , they switched system which checked me out, also charged me another 227 while I’m out at dinner. Was told the system did it and checked me out and charged me again. I have to wait a week for over $200 to hit my account back. Also I called about the charge if I didn’t was someone going to notify me ? Was anyone going to call and say I need to come and redo my keys ? Or wait until I went to room and seen they wasn’t working ? To charge my card like that I should have been notified or not change when it could possibly be charging them money. It completely ruined my day of vacation due to extra funds being taken bc a system checked me out on top of already paying my full stay and deposit at check in..

The service from Zain smith and the other guys in valet was amazing. Would highly recommend going to this hotel. The front desk was great as well 🫡👍

The location was in a great area. The valet associates were all awesome! They were all very nice, professional and quick when my vehicle was requested. I sent the texted when leaving my room & once I got to the garage my vehicle was either there and it was not i never waited no longer the 3minutes for it to arrive! Hotel breakfast was great & plentiful!

There was a $55 overnight/per night valet charge that was not included in the booking agreement. I was not made aware of this charge until I was on the property and trying to check in! With that being said I was hit with an $110 additional expense once there. The desk receptionist was very nonchalant and I am more then sure was well aware that 3rd party sites does not include this information. Also, check-in is at 3 & the hotel also approved my additional request to have my room ready at my arrival at 3pm and I was left still having to wait until after 4pm for my room once I arrived because they "ran out of rooms that I reserved the night before". Also, the water takes about 5 minutes to get hot and the water in the sink takes forever to go down& dirt backs up in it.

Breakfast was great but there was no fresh fruit like a banana or oranges

The rooms lighting was too low. I like more lights or an option to get a higher wattage with a 3 watt bulb.

Excellent location just in front of Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca Cola. We arrived early in the morning and we could leave our luggage in its store without any problem. Excellent service at all, especially from Ruby (you're great, Ruby !!). We were ubicated in the last floor therefore we enjoyed stunning views of Atlanta's skyline. Spacious room with a very comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Poor breakfast in general, as we have experienced in all our US Tour. Good dinner recommendations. Highly recommendable

Water pressure was very low. Headboard had visible wear and tear in most head areas. Elevators were full of maid staff hauling dirty linens and other maintenance items in same elevators as guests and the elevators were slow and creaky. Shower pan cracked and shower door hardware were rusty

The good: staff is polite and welcoming, breakfast is adequate. Bed is comfortable and the rooms are a nice size. Location is good for Coca Cola and the aquarium. The bad: you can only valet park for $55 A NIGHT. Just highway robbery and a money grab. The rooms are not maintained:outlets don't work, charging ports don't work, bathroom sink needs repairs, headboard torn up.
