Location
Breakfast was average Rooms were small but functional No Fridge in room Small lift ok for luggage
Good price for area
Generally the place felt a bit run down.
So friendly and helpful, great location
Value for money with excellent bedding quality, superb Sony TV and very easy shower. Very friendly hosts.
Its a flat walk along the prom but a fair distance from the ferry terminal. The buses are regular and extremely cheap for those who aren't particularly fit.
Niets.
Wonderful staff and delightful location with sea views and comfortable rooms.
Wasn’t there long enough!
Exceptional service and value. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Great location. Rooms were clean. Single room very spacious. Friendly/helpful staff.
The location was perfect for my working/wedding weekend! I'd forgotten I'd booked a sea view. It was just fabulous.
Nothing to not like, just a traditional guest house. With everything you needed , lovely staff and clean environment. Genuinely couldn't fault it.
Very friendly staff and a nice single room.
No real problems encountered.
Very convenient location, very good value and manager was very welcoming

Great location, parking was available on the street. The host was fantastic, very friendly and had some great tips on places to visit. Breakfast was also lovely

The location and the excellent breakfasts
The very old lift was only one person and one suitcase so not ideal for older people
Hosts couldn't do enough. Always gave plenty of information Breakfast was lovely (£12.50 extra) with a wide variety of both hot and cold options Rooms spacious and very clean Would definitely be staying here again.
Lift very small
Charming building, welcoming staff, comfortable bed, kettle with tea and coffee, great location, kind and responsive owner. Loved my stay!
Cleanliness, nice and quiet , lovely view from the room
The bathroom especially the shower cubicle The location of the hotel
Fantastic breaky, self service, ideal stay for what we were there for

Loved our time staying at this beautiful old hotel , full of character and old fashioned charm. The proprietor is such a warm welcoming gentleman who goes beyond to make your stay warm and comfortable. The breakfast is first class -worth the price and more.If you are fortunate to stay here I can 100% you will have a wonderful time .
Literally nothing -everything has been thought of n advance to ensure a perfect stay
Jason and his staff were amazing, they are the epitome of what hosting is all about, nothing was too much trouble and went the extra mile to make sure everything went smooth, would definitely recommend and plan to visit again
Breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Room was bigger than expected. Manager was interested in guests.
I would have liked a sign on the door first floor to say lift and one to say stairs. I have no sense of direction and kept going to the wrong door. Would have liked Rice Krispies rather than 2 versions of cornflakes. Would like mushrooms.
Excellent short trip at edelweiss guest house, greeted by welcoming staff who went above and beyond to make sure we got the best out of our visit
Location Great hosts, very welcoming and accommodating.
Nothing
Good location comfortable clean and friendly was given opportunity to store our bike equipment and gear at property until our room was available given tea’s coffee and somewhere to sit
Nothing says was it does on the tin
The friendliness of managers and staff. Breakfast was amazing Very attentive
Unfortunately mum has wheelchair and although small lift it was not in ideal position for wheelchair
Location and friendly staff
Nothing it was great, TT time means that the pricing is increased but the location and facilities were perfect
Ideal location, very friendly/helpful staff/owners
Had no complaints at all.
Location, friendly owner called Justin, nice breakfast
Nothing
The owner was exceptionally helpful and gave me plenty of guides, maps and timetables to allow me to get the best of the stay. I stayed during the TT races and he was more than happy to advise where to go to get decent views. He also started breakfast at 7:30am instead of 8am so I could leave early for tge flight home. Would, definitely stay here again.
Cost was high but it was during the TT Races so I expected it.
Excellent location and breakfast - great host
Can't think of anything
The host was very friendly and professional and we learnt he had only been running it for a couple of months which was amazing. The room was very nice and clean. The breakfasts were delicious, buffet style so as much as you wanted including sausages, bacon, eggs, for a full English breakfast.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Praticamente tutto
Justin was a great host. Breakfast was plentiful and varried. The room was well equipped overlooking the Irish sea. Throughly recommend
The small lift but i took the stairs
I just had a single room on the side of the building for one night and did not have time for breakfast as I was catching the ferry. Nevertheless, the reception I received from Justin (owner) was excellent. Very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and I would certainly consider staying there again when I am next on the island.
Nothing.
Breakfast was ecellent
nothing really, i was very happy with everthing
Justin was a great help and amazing host.
Nice location staff & Breakfast lovely
Shower not hot enought and quite small
Staff are lovely and always hospitable Justin is a fantastic host and you’ll feel right at home
The weather, literally the only downside
Location was excellent :-)
Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable.
The lift wasn’t great.
It was an old building with plenty of character which I prefer and the location was very good for the promenade and public transport.
Probably the stairs!!
Edelweiss was easy to get to from the Sea Terminal. Very good value, very clean rooms, very helpful staff member face to face and over the phone. Stress free 2 night accommodation while we attended a family wedding
Nothing
The staff are friendly and helpful. We particularly appreciate the help of Adrian who is very responsive.
Rubbish bin in the toilet was not emptied daily.
Great location, friendly helpful ownet.
Duvets too narrow, if you turned over they slipped off the bed. Bathroom cabinet in the way, really awkward when brushing teeth.
Close to Beach, dog friendly. Warm rooms
Small lift, convenient for luggage and thoughs unable to use stairs.
Great reception on arrival.
Nothing!
Owner who took over the business recently was so welcoming and had a little chat and went above and beyond to make my stay more comfortable . Room was spotless with a great sea view . Had tea and coffee facilities in the room .
Nothing
The owner was friendly and helpful.
Found the location good with easy access to the bus and beach
Friendly and helpful staff
Breakfast was really good! Hot plates, buffet style and great choice. Host was really attentive. Rooms were a little dated but spotlessly clean, Justin has only had the hotel for 2 months and has plans for updating which I am confident he will make happen. I would definitely stay there again.
Nothing at all. Lift is tiny, but that’s not anything that can be changed easily and is actually a quirk of the stay
Very friendly and helpful staff, particularly when I had to deal with a cancelled ferry.
Handy for the North end of the bay, horse tram and electric railway are nearby. Bus stop on the street corner 30 seconds away. Friendly welcome and explanation about access and facilities. Very good value for money.
The property is a little dated but well maintained with fresh paintwork and very clean. No issues.
The beds were super comfortable, the location was great for the electric railway and horse drawn trams, an easy walk into the main part of Douglas, along the sea front. Justin was a great host, very welcoming and full of information about the area and places to visit.
It was a little hot the first night, but that was soon fixed by turning the radiator off and opening the window, so no complaints!
You won't get anything cheaper in this location with a room and bathroom
Walls are paper thin (and I mean you can hear everything in neighbouring rooms)
We arrived after travelling to a warm welcome. Facilities and location of rooms were explained very well. All my colleagues were very happy with the rooms, me especially as i had a lovely sea view. great location. Would have liked to have breakfast but we departed early. No hesitation in booking again.
Nothing. All was perfect.
On my arrival it was most friendly welcoming ☺️ I've been a few times and always felt comfortable as I suffer from anxiety get anxious but I don't here ,I will definitely be coming back and might try the breakfast 🙂 even stay longer it's easy to find and get to no chance getting lost and so close to tram 🚊 and horse 🐎 and carriage well handy and getting to a bus or ferry ⛴️ and back it's straight line so brilliant for everyone
Hard to find what not to like maybe 🤔 just a bit lumpy one of the pillows but really can't fault my stay
The staff and the location were the highlight of my stay - I didn't catch his name, but the member of staff that was at the reception desk was incredibly friendly and kind, and was very knowledgeable about the area with lots of great recommendations on where to visit and where to eat. We arrived early for check in, but he allowed us to store our bags at the hotel, gave us access to the lounge and offered us hot drinks while we waited, and even rushed getting our room ready so that we could check in sooner. The location is also ideal - right on the promenade in Douglas, close to the electric railway station, and on multiple bus routes going all over the island. It's also walking distance from the steam railway station, the ferry terminal, the Manx Museum, and lots of restaurants and cafes. Also, the hotel is dog friendly, which we didn't need but I can imagine is a big bonus for some. The room wasn't huge, with a very small en suite, but was a lot more comfortable than it looked.
The walls were incredibly thin, so I had a hard time sleeping due to snoring, TV noise, dogs barking, etc from surrounding rooms. I also found being placed on the third floor a little inconvenient after being busy on my feet all day, as even though there was a small old-fashioned one-man lift in the hotel, you could only fit at most two people with no bags or one person with big/lots of bags in at a time. If you're staying with family or with a large group I can imagine the fact you have to choose between many separate trips or all trawling up the stairs together would be inconvenient if you're staying on one of the higher floors, especially if you have small children. The doors in and out of the lift can also be a little heavy, and can trap bags easily and tend to slam behind you. We also opted not to have breakfast at the hotel as we found £12 per person per day to be quite an expensive price for the area, although it did smell nice and would've been convenient.
Justin is a lovely warm host, really friendly and welcoming
