The bungalows are very nice the owner and staff are really kind and helpful

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, I arrived at 3am on the sleeper bus and they sent a video for where my room was, had everything set up for me. Breakfast was simple but wonderful. Even though it rained most of my stay they helped me organise inside things and after the outside thing they dried my clothes for me. Value for money was fantastic!

The host was super nice and helped us with everything - tours, shuttle from Dong Hoi, food recommendations, bus o our next destination, and even let us check out very late so we can use the room shower before heading out on a sleeper bus. The room itself is spacious, good water pressure with hot water. They also have cute dogs that walk around the area.

If we had to try and find one thing: There was no separation between the shower area and the toilet so after a shower the whole bathroom got wet. Really didn't bother us at all though. Great place.

Hotel bungalow en bord de rivière avec une vue magique et la possibilité de se baigner du ponton. Les grottes sont superbes et tout près. Le couple qui tient l’hôtel est très organisé et serviable. Tout est impeccablement organisé pour un prix absolument correct. Le lieu vaut le voyage. Pick up airport et gare possible.

The bungalows are located right above the river, offering a really beautiful view. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. They also organised our cave tours for us, which were a great experience

Not very clean, with lots of mosquitoes and other insects, as well as lizards. There were no measures in place to prevent them from entering the room, so you need to be extremely careful when entering and leaving. Although the property has a beautiful garden, it could be better maintained and tidied up. We also ordered food, and the tray was full of ants. I understand that the resort is located in a more natural and wild environment, but some basic hygiene and cleanliness standards should still be maintained. We only stayed for one night to explore the caves, so overall, it was ok.

Prachtige plek, leuke overdekte zitjes waar we konden zitten in de avond, helaas zat het weer niet helemaal mee. De hondjes vielen erg in de smaak bij onze kinderen. Prima verblijf!

L'emplacement. La possibilité de se baigner dans la rivière. Le calme. L'efficacité et la gentillesse du personnel. Le monsieur nous a trouvé des vélos en bon état à louer et nous avons pu aller à la grotte du paradis à vélo. Très belle balade !

Ha, le propriétaire nous a arrangé notre pickup de la gare jusqu’au Bungalow. Il nous a permis d’avoir accès à 1 des 2 chambres plus tôt que prévu. Nous avions pris le train de nuit. Bel accueil nourriture délicieuse et propreté de nos chambres. Notre hôte Ha a été très aimable et aidant. Il nous a booké un tour pour visite de grottes et l’autobus pour aller à Hué. Merci pour ça. Très apprécié. Je vous recommande cet endroit

Rien. À part le fait qu’il est près de la rivière où navigue des dizaines de bateaux qui mènent aux grottes et que le bruit de fond des moteurs débutent tôt le matin. Les chambres sont bien insonorisées. À noter que les photos sur booking datent d’il y a plusieurs années! Les arbres du site ont grandi.

I loved staying here. Location is excellent, very scenic along the river and far enough away from the crowded/noisy/not especially nice city center. Good breakfast included. Good lunch/dinner/drinks menu. Very kind and helpful staff. Very nice, modern, comfortable bungalow/room. Carambola Bungalow was a good choice for me and I will stay here again!

Les bungalows sont très bien et juste à côté de la rivière c est top.

L emplacement est bien mais un peu loin de la ville. Il faut leur louer un scooter pour se déplacer

Отличное расположение с красивым видом, очень дружелюбный персонал, есть веранды, и много мест на берегу. Уютные номера со всем необходимым и очень удобной кроватью. Разнообразное меню и вкусная еда.

Единственное что было не очень удобно это заезд и парковка, мало места

Nice view to the river. Quiet to relax. No hurried life. Very useful and friendly owner with staff there.

The bathroom: The shower area needed a divider to stop the water running all over the floor.

Gia đình tôi ở 3 phòng thì có phòng của tôi nằm tại tầng trệt nên không khí hơi ẩm thấp (có thể do mưa) và tôi đặc biệt bị ám ảnh bởi mùi của nhà vệ sinh (tôi đã góp ý với bạn chủ home, hy vọng vấn đề này sẽ sớm được cải thiện)

Included breakfast had a good amount of options. Stepping outside the door, the view was gorgeous. We arrived very early and the hotel arranged for someone to pick us up at like 5am in the pouring rain.

Beds were not super comfortable and tub was very high and seemed a little dangerous to get in and out.

The view is really good. The river is just beside the homestay and I saw people swimming in it. The whole neighbourhood is friendly and the environment is really peaceful. The room was also cozy and all basic needs are there. The host had been very helpful in answering our queries before arrival and we booked the tour through him. It is also very near phong nha cave and other attractions.

The location is not walkable to the town area. But there are still pubs and minimarts selling drinks and basic necessities around. So, it is not really a problem. The stairs up to the bungalows are quite steep. We were with our hand luggage and had some difficulties there. I think we will struggle if we were travelling with the mid-size or larger luggage.

Amazing location, my room was facing the river directly. The staff was very helpful in booking the cave visits and also the trip to my next destination. The restaurant is fine, but nothing spectacular. Overall a great experience.

The location was great. The hosts were great. The views were great. Hired scooters from here and had the best day. Free bike hire on the next day.

Could have been a bit more storage area in the room

Bikes were comfortable and had lots of choices to find the right one for an individual. We rode into town for some shopping ,lunch and a drink.

Tutto perfetto! Bungalow stupendo con affaccio sul fiume.. meraviglioso. Letto comodissimo, spazio ampio e doccia calda sempre. Noleggio scooter e bici in loco, oltre diversi tour proposti. Staff gentile e struttura molto curata.

La cena.. i piatti tradizionali erano disponibili solo con un minimo di 4 persone.. un vero peccato, chi li ha presi li mangiava di gusto. Ho ripiegato su un piatto semplice e basico, (beef bbq with rice), ma non mi è piaciuto. Ho mangiato decisamente meglio fuori.

Just loved this place. A great little hideaway to just relax and enjoy some relaxation between attractions within the area.

Sehr nettes Personal. Wir kamen früh morgens an und haben schon 7 Stunden vor der offiziellen Check-in-Zeit ein Zimmer bekommen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Die Betten sehr bequem und auch nach dem Check-out konnten wir noch Duschen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden!

The staff were exceptionally friendly, well spoken and welcoming. Out of all the places we have stayed in Vietnam, this was our favourite. Close to town, easy to get a grab. Breakfast was amazing. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Would 100% stay here again. Thank you Carambola bungalows.

Es erwartet einem ein netter und sehr sympathischer Gastgeber Ha mit seiner Familie. Schon vor Ankunft nimmt er Kontakt auf, um evtl Ausflüge zu erfragen und ist schließlich behilflich, wie auch bei meiner früheren Ankunft mit dem Zug um 5.00. Alle sind sehr nett, gelegen ist es sehr ruhig, Frühstück und Abendessen wird per Karte bestellt und ist obendrein echt lecker. Unterkunft sauber und gepflegt.

Super śniadania. Lokalizacja nad samą rzeka jak na zdjęciach. Wszystko się zgadzało. Pomocny właściciel pomógł zorganizować wycieczki do jaskiń.

TOUT Nous avons passé une séjour très agréable. Les gérants étaient aux petits soins (ajout d’une nuit au dernier moment, aide à la réservation d’activités…) Le petit déjeuner était bon et copieux La chambre était spacieuse La possibilité de manger de bons plats le soir sur place car on est un peu éloigné du centre

We loved it! Booking a scooter or arranging transport was quick and easy. The food is delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. And best of all, everyone is super nice.

Der Gastgeber und seine Mitarbeiter haben sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert. Transfers und Ausflüge konnten wir durch unsere Unterkunft organisieren lassen. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Klimaanlage hat bei hohen Außentemperaturen gut funktioniert und das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Die Aussicht von der Unterkunft war zudem sehr schön.

Die Besitzer sind super hilfsbereit und freundlich. Sie haben uns morgens um 6.00 Uhr am Zug abgeholt. Die Lage direkt am Fluss ist toll und sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen sind sehr lecker. Wenn wir nochmal in diese Gegend kommen, würden wir wieder hier übernachten.

Super schön am Wasser gelegen, etwas abseits vom Rest. Man kann hier auch essen. Die Inhaber sind super nett. Ich kann auch nur empfehlen eine Tour zu buchen, z.B. Kayaktour durch Phong Nha Cave, eine absolute Empfehlung!

We liked the Quiet location. Our host arranged scooter tour to visit duck farm and sky swing, both great fun, she also arranged car private car for us to visit Paradise cave and Phong Nha cave independently. Very helpful host. Great value for money.

Excellent hosts, really friendly and welcoming. Ha collected me from my arrival bus drop off point so I didn't have to organise getting myself from there to Carambola. Fantastic location at the river, it's peaceful and easy to relax and quiet at night for sleeping. There are lots of good food options if you want to have dinner on site. My bungalow had plenty of space and was really comfortable. Carambola is really excellent value. Also, they have 2 dogs which are so cute and friendly! I would definitely stay here again.

Endroit charmant, personnel adorable.

Ein sehr schönes Zimmer in einem Bungalow am Fluss. Das Personal ist unglaublich nett und hilft überall, beim Buchen eines Rollers, Touren, Abholung spät nachts vom Sleeperbus. Einfach super. Das Essen ist auch sehr gut.

Ein paar kleine Ameisen im Zimmer, aber das ist halt so wenn man naturnah wohnt.

Sehr nette Besitzer. Individuelle Zusatzleistungen mit einem super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wie zum Beispiel Phong Nha Cave Kayaking oder Transfer zur Bushaltestelle. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl in der kleinen Bungalow Familie.
