Mi Otra Casa

We had a wonderful stay at Mi Otra Casa! The facility is very clean and well maintained, and the service was excellent. Rigoberto was incredibly attentive and always available to help with anything we needed. Meals were offered at the house, but we chose to explore and eat in town instead. The location is convenient and peaceful, though it can get a bit loud at night due to nearby clubs — earplugs helped. Aside from that, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would absolutely recommend MOC to anyone visiting Sayulita!

No staff to assist with anything in the evening even though we were told to call if we needed anything. Very dangerous stairway. Three flights of stairs with no handrails. No bar, spa, or available breakfast even though it is advertised as having these amenities. Only 2 chairs by the pool. Extremes disappointed in this hotel and do not recommend. Not as advertised as all.

Property is nice, staff is very friendly and attentive. It's right off of the town square in a convenient location. It is on the hill, so if stairs or climbing is problematic this might not be the right fit for you. Due to the location it can be very noisy at night, especially on weekends or holidays. Earplugs are recommended for sleeping.

Nice boutique hotel. Room was very large and nicely decorated and very comfortable, with a great view. Staff was great, service and attention was great. Only disappointment was the pool was closed for repairs, and pools are important in Mexico.

We love mi otra casa!!! Edgar and team were welcoming and caring, WhatsApp made communicating arrival times and any needs throughout our stay convenient & easy. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of during our stay! We loved the location and proximity to nightlife - Sayulita loves a party and the location of mi otra casa makes it so convenient to be where the party is! Close to all restaurants, the beach, shopping it was a perfect stay! Thank you Mi Otra Casa!

My friend and I loved our four night stay at MOC. The property is beautiful, clean and secure. It’s conveniently located close to the towns centre. It is loud at night but earplugs helped! Rigo and Alicia were awesome hosts and having breakfast made in the morning was a lovely experience! Would definitely stay here again on the next trip to Sayulita!

We loved our stay here, the cutest place with the nicest staff. AWESOME location in Sayulita, 5 minute walk to the beach and close to the center of town. As previous reviews had stated, it’s very noisy at night, but there is a fan in the room and if you have it turned on it really drowns out the noise and also keeps your room nice and cool, but that fan also has a super bright light which was more annoying to me than the noise from the town. Breakfast every morning was wonderful and delicious but I do wish they had a coffee maker in the rooms so if I wanted coffee in the morning I could just make it in my room without going to the dining area. Minor inconveniences though. Also, it should be noted that the property is on a hillside and might cause some difficulty for guests with mobility issues. We really had a great time and would definitely stay again!

This us NOT a hotel false description. Its more like a B&B. No lobby staff comes in the morning to make some coffee and eggs.. rooms are small with no tv. Three floors with no elevators or bellman. This HOUSE was on a steep hill very dangerous to walk to. It is located in the very close to downtown. Beach is a 10 minute walkon super rocky roads. Arrived at 2pm and yhe property was locked. Had to wait over an hour on the sidewalk with all our suitcqses. Contacted expedia to try to cancel this house bookingand rebook to an actual joyelbut the owner refused to cancel and expedia was no help. I was very disappointed with the service i received.i would have never booked this house if i knew that it wasnt a hotel. I would not stay here again nor rec. Ithink yhe owner need to update the property description and Expedia needs to verify the property descriptions before posting this adommend this oroperty

The property had a great location near the main square. Things were a little noisy at night time but it was fun being so close to bars, restaurants & nightlife.

This was an excellent property, with amazing staff. It has really cool boho vibe. Very comfortable bed and large seating area. Fantastic views. It's very central and very close to everything; walkable everywhere. I would only say, this hotel is not for light sleepers as there is a a lot of activity and music coming from the central bars at night. Thanks Rigo and team!

The beds are very comfortable and a daily breakfast was provided. Accommodations are clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was a variation of the traditional eggs, tortillas, and potatoes with juice and it was good. We asked for fruit salad for breakfast and only once received sliced watermelon. It was delicious but not what we asked for. It would have been nice to have variety at breakfast i.e. fruit salad, yogurt, and granola. The property is conveniently located by the square on a very steep hill, which could be an issue for those with mobility issues. This should be pointed out to would be travelers. Also, due to the proximity to downtown, DURING Holidays and Festivities it is extremely loud until 4 am in the morning. Please be sure to carefully consider the time of year when booking and the hotel should make travelers aware of this fact. Many may love to party all night during the Fiestas but others may not. The Staff were nice, helpful, and responsive. However, they spoke little English and communication was a bit of a challenge. We suggest the Hotel put together a resource book to have to travelers in at the reception counter. It could have a map of the area. This book could feature popular local activities, lists places for various types of dining; fancy, laid back, delivery. It could list the best nearby ATMS or banks, as well as nearby convenience stores/pharmacies. Having such a resource, which we've found at other accommodations is very helpful.

Great staff and view!

The staff is outstanding. Both Rigo and Alicia are kind , helpful, and quick to respond. They really made our stay. The property is all you could ask for and the location is convenient to the heart of Sayulita.

MOC is a great spot in town with wonderful attentive staff. It’s right in the heart of town, but feels secluded once inside the property. It can be loud from the surrounding city nightlife, but so is everywhere within the city. I’d definitely stay again.

The hotel’s cleanliness and beautiful decor provided a delightful retreat after exploring the lively surroundings. Plus, the breakfast selection is a definite highlight not to be missed. Alicia and Rogó both made my stay wonderful. Their attentive service and warm hospitality added to the charm of this vibrant location. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking an unforgettable stay.

What a fantstic place. Hidden jewel in the center of town. The staff was spectacular! Best part was the freshly cooked breakfast by Alishia. Rigo, the property manager was excellent amd very accomedating to all guest request. Looking forward to visiting again!

Excellent location, lovely staff !

We decided to visit this magical town in Nayarit. We were there with family for a birthday and anniversary. We had the entire hotel to ourselves. 1/2 block from the main plaza. The rooms have double glass windows. Yes, the music from the plaza goes from 8 pm to 2 am. You are there on vacation and to have fun. So enjoy yourself. The hotel rooms are clean and roomy. A bit aged. The pool is refreshing. The property is clean. You will have to walk several stairs to get to your room. No elevator. So make sure you could walk stairs and uphill. The rooms have great AC except for the main room on top of the hotel since it has an open palapa roof. Please know that the weather from May to September is hot in the 80’s very humid. You will be sweating all over your body. Rigo and Alicia are the workers there. Great cooks and hostesses. Kind of hard to find great workers this days with that work ethic. Thanks for the hotel, staff and weather. We created great memories. We would go back, stay here but would be during the months of January to April. Thanks again

Great location close to the beach, bars and restaurants. Friendly staff. Good breakfast daily. However, the party music in Sayulita starts at 4pm and finishes at 4am daily. So know what you are getting into when booking at this hotel. It can be loud.

Mi Otra Casa is a great boutique hotel accommodation if you’re looking to be located at the heart of Sayulita. Check in and check out was seamless and the small team they have on the property were pleasant and friendly. We booked the honeymoon suite for a romantic getaway and also received sparkling wine, cheese and fruit courtesy of the house, which was a very nice surprise. Bottled water can be found upon arrival which is also nice - I don’t believe other hotels in the area offer this. We didn’t get any additional bottled water throughout our stay (because we kept buying our own gallons), but I’m sure they replenish this. The room was spacious and had everything we needed and the jacuzzi was also great at night! Towels were refreshed regularly and they also had pool towels. Another thing we didn’t realise was that breakfast was included in our stay! Another great surprise. They are basic breakfasts but delicious nonetheless. For those concerned about the noise - it’s worthwhile to do some research about Sayulita and its vibe before booking a hotel close to town. The entire town is by no means a sleepy beach town and it’s bustling with music, noise and cars throughout the day and into the night. We were aware of this and brought earplugs. The hotel did all that they can to reduce noise, including installing double-glazed insulated windows, but hearing the outside noise is inevitable especially since it’s so close to town and I think you’ll get that with all the hotels nearby

Staff went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay, and could navigate the area as well as set up transportation to and from the airport.

This is a lovely place to stay in Sayulita! The rooms are nicely appointed, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is amazing! Those leaving bad reviews because of the noise are fools. It is loud EVERYWHERE in this town, every night, and where you stay makes little difference! Study your destination before leaving bad reviews because you failed to do your homework! My only suggestion would an iron/ironing board would have been a nice addition!

Our stay here was so wonderful. The staff is small, quiet, accommodating, and really friendly. We had a really pleasant time here. The location is what really makes this place special. It is within walking distance to the center of town where everything is happening. Yes, it does get noisy at night but we knew this prior to our trip so it wasn't a surprise. If you are a heavy sleeper and don't get bothered by music late at night this is the place for you!! Thank you again for the amazing trip we will definitely be coming back soon.

After countless searches to find the right place to stay, I’m so glad I chose mi otra casa. Location, the best. Friendly, helpful staff, perfect little boutique hotel. The music at night is just there, bring earplugs. This place was perfect and we just loved it!

Perched on a hill with only a handful of rooms and a team of three, this little gem was the perfect base for an unforgettable trip - the private hot tub in the room was a lot of fun, the housekeeping was always resetting our room to its original cleanliness with new towels, sheets, cups, mugs, and bottles of water. The marble floors were always cool and clean. The views from the upper deck were breath-taking, and the breakfast was a highlight. It truly felt like being a guest in a gracious host's home, as they maintain it like it were their own and cook guests homemade breakfasts. Mi Otra Casa lives up to the name and I hope to return someday sooner than later.

This place has a great friendly staff. Clean. Beautiful shared areas and rooftop. Awesome views. Comfortable rooms. Fair price. Close to the central area. Has everything you need and would be amazing for a family reunion or big group of friends.

No air conditioning in the Palapa room. We easily changed rooms to one with nice, very cold air conditioning.

The property was beautiful, very quiet and private. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The staff was great, made great breakfast daily and margaritas.

The place is lovely, the people outstanding. The only problem is that the location is next to the main square and very loud music starts from three rooftop bars at 9 pm every night. It lasts until 3 am or later. You will need earplugs. During the day the place is wonderful.

Loved the private veranda attached to our room. Loved the breakfast in the morning, especially the fresh fruit! The pool was great, and the hotel was located half a block from the town square.

Mi Otra Casa was a DREAM to stay in. Me and my 16 friends were able to stay in this gorgeous home for my 30th birthday trip to Sayulita. The house is right in the middle of all the action - 2 minute walk to bars, taco stands, shops, and the main square. The house is also 3 blocks from the ocean. You can’t beat the location! The concierge service was outstanding. Edward, who owns the home, can coordinate anything from on-site COVID tests, excursions, and even an at home chef which we ended up taking advantage of. Please make sure to coordinate third party needs through him for safety :) Just to add to the amazing level of service we received - Edward was able to coordinate a chef, crew, servers, and bartender to cater dinner one of the nights. I thought it would just be a delicious meal and that be it - but they set the table up, served us our 3 courses, and took our drink orders throughout the meal. CocinArte catering went above and beyond what I asked for! Rigo, who tends to any of our needs during our stay, was quick to arrive at the house to help with anything! We had issues trying to figure out how to use our safes in our room and he showed up late at night to help us out. On top of that, Irma, the head maid, and her colleague was on top of cleaning our rooms daily and all in all kept up the entire house with such a large group. The best part of the house (alongside the gorgeous ocean view on the rooftop) is the pool. We also got it heated which was nice for late night dips. The pictures don’t do this house justice. It will surely be one of the most memorable places me and my friends have stayed at. Mi Otra Casa will always have a place in my heart because coincidentally I also got engaged on the rooftop of this beautiful home. I would recommend this house to anyone wanting to have a good time. Can’t wait to come back to Sayulita and stay in Mi Otra Casa again.

I can’t say enough about this property. It makes my eyes watery to remember the time spent with my loved one on vacation at Mi Otra Casa. It is the most beautiful home. Everything was perfect . The staff was so polite and kind , Irma, Rigo, and David. Such nice great people. Rooms and the entire house so clean, bed was so comfortable. The views were so romantic and beautiful. We will return here again for sure. We fell in love with Sayulita and Mi Otra Casa. 10/10.

Right in the heart of the town!

Nice place, very close to the plaza and all Sayulita has to offer! We stayed in the honeymoon suite, it was a bit loud at night as it is located on the corner nearest some clubs. I think the other rooms would be quitter. We booked it for the outdoor tub:). Wifi was weak in our room but very strong in common areas. The common areas and pool were beautiful and there were no other guests during our stay, we had the place to ourselves. Staff (especially Rigo and Irma) were super nice and attentive!

The MOC is very close to the center and the beach. Of course, I could hear music coming from the bar at night, but I had no problem falling asleep during my stay. They prepared breakfast at the time we requested. The Pool and the view from the terrace upstairs were amazing.

Beautiful property ...had entire place to ourselves for 4 days ...only complaint is pool could have been a little warmer, but there was a cold front at time 1 minute walk to coffee shop 1 minute walk to margaritas ! On-site cook for days not wanting to eat out.

The property had a home feel to it. It functional and beautiful with many common areas to relax.

We're experienced travelers who like unique properties. We read the reviews we could fine and there were some noise complaints but we can deal with a bit of noise. The property is lovely and people there kind but it's on a hill behind the square and bars. The geography amplifies the sound so it was thumping, laughter, screaming and yelling until 4am. Our glasses rattled in the nightstand and even with the property supplied earplugs and Ambien, no sleep was to be had. We contacted the property promptly the next morning and was told no refunds. They offered another lower room but that was it. $1000USD down the drain. We understood the cancel policy so that's that. I do believe the property misrepresented itself by not disclosing this issue. which they were well aware of. Their excuse, it's not our fault. First and I hope the last time I check out early from a property.

This was a lovely and private resort. It is like staying at someone's home, yet the rooms are private and have all the amenities of a traditional hotel room. As we were only one of 2 rooms booked, we had the place to ourselves. The kitchen is available, just need to make arrangements to have it unlocked. We self-checked in when we arrived over the phone. The bed was very comfortable, and the added sitting area with lounge-sofas was nice to hang out in. The location is great, only a few steps down the hill from the corner of the plaza. The nightlife is great if you like live music. The club music was going till about 3am, but our patio door kept out most of the music. It didn't bother us at all once we were in the room and ready for sleep. The pool was heated and very warm even in the evenings. The cleaning staff popped in and had our room ready, extra towels by the pool, and yet, were almost non-existent..meaning, they just came and went quickly, and the quality of the cleaning service was excellent.

Perfect location for strolling around town and to the beach. Easy to get to and from by taxi also. Food (every meal) and drink within seconds. At night you can hear some clubby music but with the windows closed and the aircon running it is more of a distant reminder you are in a fun seaside spot. We stayed in the Agua room and it was just perfect. My only point of improvement would be: fix the locks please, they are a bit run down and make locking the doors a bit challenging. Something else I would say for future traveler here - please be mindful that you are essentially in a large home vs sound-proofed hotel - so you need to be courteous to your fellow house guests. This would be an amazing place to rent out in its entirety with a group of friends. The common areas are gorgeous and the views spectacular. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This is a great property with beautiful amenities. It is super well located just 1 block away from the main Plaza. The view from the rooftop is fantastic. One thing to consider is the noise from the bars at night which are pretty loud. Other than that we had a great stay at Mi Otra Casa.

Gorgeous views and lovely terrace. Nice accommodations and bed. BUT if sleeping is important to you, do not stay here. It’s adjacent to the plaza where loud electric music blares until 6am. Honestly 6am. Every night. Then the roosters start crowing. Neighbor above plays loud tv. Earplugs hardly help. Also, Sayulita’s water system is very unsure. Many in our group got Montezumas in spite of caution. I never slam a place, but this was unpleasant.

Everything was a about giving you the best experience ever. If you asked about it, you will get it. The staff is just wonderful.

The property is beautiful with an awesome view from the second floor. The staff such as Jose Luis and Sandra are assets to this property. The only problems with this hotel is the lack of Wifi availability which is about a 10 feet radius in the the front entrance and part of the kitchen area. It is a shame that the owner does not provide better coverage for the excellence of this Casa. The other complaint I have is nothing that this place can control which is the loud music coming from the local bars in the Plaza. The music is loud and goes to about 3:00a.m. to 3:30pm from.Friday to Sunday. This is no joke if you like to get some sleep. I would love to come back here with my family but don't think I will for the weekend maybe during the weekdays only. This home is literally 4 minutes walk down some cobblestones and you are in the plaza. It is close to everything. This is a great location for sure but you will pay for it to with sleep deprivation. So beware. The grounds and the layout of this beautiful casa is worth seeing.

This is a beautiful home. Decorated beautifully. Cleaned everyday. The location is perfect. You can walk anywhere but you are not bothered by the nightlife sounds. We are going back next year and will stay at Mi Otra Casa again. We are actually going to book it now for next year!!! Love it!!!!

The location is EXCELENT, the property is in very good conditions. The pool and amenities were very nice.
